Fantastic experience: Never thought it would come a day since my stroke, over four years ago that there's someone who can help me with real improvements with my recovery. Im not saying she's a miracle worker but Dr. Dana Schoonmaker definitely knows what's needed to be done to correct my severe spacticity with my left arm that has not been getting better despite massage therapy, physical and occupational therapy, acupuncture and more. I was referred to her,and as my last option after prayers for any hope of help, i decided to make an appointment with her. Today was my second adjustment and my first therapy session with her and I am saying this from my heart. I AM HAVING MOVEMENT WITH MY LEFT SHOULDER AND ARM THAT I HAVEN'T HAD DURING THOSE FOUR YEARS POST STROKE. Now we have real hope in further recovery. This brings us Joy. In addition, I believe Dr. Dana was more excited than we were with these improvements today. She really genuinely cares about her patients and loves what she does. I/ we are Blessed to have been guided to her . I believe it's intervention. To make this even more encouraging, on entering the office on our first visit, we were greeted by the most wonderful person at reception desk , KIM. What an amazing personality she has. Fantastic experience: Dr Dana is awesome!!! She takes her time with you and cares for you from head to toe to make sure you are in alignment and not in pain. She even put my jaw back in place after a tooth extraction and corrected my bite!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dana truly thinks outside the box. 43 years ago, I injured my tailbone and had seen several different chiropractors over the years and they either told me there was nothing that they could do about it or simply dismissed it. However, it wasn’t until I met Dr. Dana and had a discussion with her that I got my tailbone fixed and in one visit! In addition, I have pectus excavatum. Which is a sunken chest. In two visits, Dr. Dana has improved my breathing, posture and improve the look of my chest significantly. I never thought that a chiropractor would be the one to teach me how to breathe properly. She is talented in many ways and I highly recommend that you pay her a visit, you will not be disappointed.

I started going to Dr. Dana before I got pregnant and have been going throughout my pregnancy and she has helped me so much! One day I came in with excruciating round ligament pain and Dr. Dana stretched me out and taught me how to do it at home. The amount of relief that I felt after that is unreal! I can go on about how much relief I have felt throughout my pregnancy!

Negative experience: My lawyer has been waiting for a year to receive my records from Dr Dana so he can settle my case after an accident. It is frustrating and unprofessional. Definitely never going back there again . Hoping she reads this review and takes the time to do her job and send MY RECORDS to my lawyer. * I understand you had a a database crash but I had been requesting my records for more than a year before you had the database crash, so honestly there’s no excuse. Please take the time to answer my emails or my lawyer’s and give us an answer on when you will have my documents ready. This is very frustrating . * 9/17/2023 : month #15 after requesting MY RECORDS and still nothing. No call, no email , NOTHING! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO DO THIS PLEASE! Fantastic experience: Dr. Dana is one of the best chiropractors/sports medicine doctor who gets results. I have been seeing her for three years. She and her staff are also compassionate as well as professional.

Negative experience: If you are injured after a car accident DONT GO TO THIS DOCTOR she might know about adjusting bones, but she seems lost in paper work, she is always training a new front desk person and does not know about managing a business. I was in a car accident and my lawyer was unable to find the proof that I seek for care right after the accident because this doctor REFUSE TO GIVE ME MY RECORDS and proof that I was treated there. Save yourself a headache and find a doctor that has a proper business and care about you and your information. It’s been over a year and she still haven’t found my information

Negative experience: I do not recommend her. Messy and not reliable. They never pick up the phone, respond to emails or send documents needed for personal reasons. Do not waste your time.

Fantastic experience: I have been a nurse for over 15 years and the back problems you would never believe the pain I have had. Since going to see Dr Dana I have had so much relief. She does not just rack em and crack em she actually tries to help you Understand why your having the pain she sits down with you and creates a plan to help you understand better things to do in your everyday life to help improve your outcome while working with her. She does this so that you can get the best relief possible without surgery or prescription medications to buffer the pain. Thank you soooo much Dr. Dana I appreciate you for helping me . Negative experience: Moms beware!!! Do not bring your child here!!! She kissed my 3 DAY OLD on the face and head multiple times after adjusting him! As a doctor (and a human being) she should know better!!! We don’t even allow our family to kiss him let alone a STRANGER!! You should be able to trust a medical professional to care about the safety of your child. I’m now terrified to take him to the doctors or let anyone hold him because a “medical professional” that I should have been able to trust thought she could kiss a random BABY and put their safety in danger!! (She was great during my pregnancy but I will never go back after that happened)

Fantastic experience: I had severe shoulder pain for basically my whole life and after a few sessions seeing Dr. Schoonmaker she helped me correct my posture and provided resources so I could continue to correct it at home between meetings. I haven’t seen her in a while since I’ve moved but she definitely knows what she’s doing. Even after a skeptical doctor said chiro wouldn’t help, I continued to see her because it truly was helping! I have been a mobile massage therapist for over 15 years and I appreciate her professionalism and knowledge on how the body works and how to help it recover. On our initial consultation she thoroughly reviewed my x-rays and was able to find what was causing my pain when others didn't.. She went above and beyond and gave me tips and pointers on how to hold my massage table and corrected the stance I use when I give massages. Negative experience: I would give zero stars if it was an option. Hospitalized after an adjustment with Dana. Which made it hard for me to reflect that as an employee and continue to work for her. Bad technique is what my new chiropractor advised me. I highly recommend getting a thorough MEDICAL DOCTOR exam prior to allowing any chiropractor perform adjustments. And go somewhere that does xrays!

Also before the adjustment, she applied ice because she noticed that I was stiff due to the pain, also I was a little be scared but she make it easy.

Fantastic experience: Ten months ago I was diagnosed with a herniated L5 and a bulging L3. Making even menial tasks VERY difficult. Fantastic experience: Dr Dana has been our family sports medicine chiropractor for over 5 years. I started seeing her for my lower back pain and multiple soccer injuries. She has been able to keep me playing competitive soccer in the over 40 league. I could not do it without her. She has helped with strains, pulled muscles, injured muscles, tendons and ligaments. I then started bringing my teen daughter, who is a competitive soccer player and hip hop dancer. My daughter loves getting treated by Dr Dana and always had Dr Dana work on her before and after dance competitions and tough soccer games. She also recommended Dr Dana to her high school girls soccer team and all the players that visited Dr Dana became long term clients. I now visit Dr Dana on a regular basis to avoid injuries and be fit enough to continue playing soccer, at 47, and staying active. Some of the types of therapy I have received is massage, chiropractic adjustments, cold therapy, hot therapy, joint manipulation, pressure point stimulation, stretching and electric stimulation. One of the things I like most about Dr Dana besides her extensive sports medicine experience and knowledge, is that she does a fantastic job explaining and educating you on what's happening with you and what are the best options for treating what's wrong. Dr Dana also orders any necessary Imaging such as x-ray or MRI scans She is also honest enough to recommend another treatment option with other practitioners if necessary. If any part of your body hurts for whatever reason I absolutely recommend that you get evaluated and treated by Dr Dana.

Fantastic experience: I am a runner, and had been suffering with injuries from left toes to back for about a year when I started with Dr. Dana. She has such a strong desire to truly help her patients. I finally started getting some relief and making progress with her help. She really has a heart for helping others feel better and stay strong and healthy.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dana, I can't thank you enough for our recent visit. When I first heard about Chiro-Fit and Dr. Dana's practice, I was hopeful that it would help with my 3-year-old's agitation. I can't go out in public, because I just never know when she might have a complete melt-down. At night when she says her prayers, she will sometimes pray from head-to-toe about pain her body is experiencing. I always thought she was being dramatic or funny, until I told Dr. Dana about some of her symptoms. Dr. Dana was confident the symptoms were related to pain my daughter was experiencing and told me to bring her in. My daughter warmed up to Dr. Dana immediately! Fantastic experience: Having a fear of chiropractic care has kept me from getting the adjustments I've needed in the past; However, after a friend told me... "you won't break" and based on the fact that Dr. Dana is a friend of mine, I knew I would be in good hands! I am happy to say that it was a great experience and in all honesty... felt amazing! Dr. Dana understood my nervousness and treated me with care and gentle compassion -- and got the job done! But there is more, not only did she perform the adjustments, but clearly explained and show me with images what muscles, ligaments and nerves were involved in my discomfort so that I could fully understand the mechanics of what was going on. I've been to many chiropractors over the last few decades, but have never experienced one who takes such an interest... she is willing to take the time to really evaluate and advise... not just do adjustments or therapy. Fantastic experience: Finally some relief from neck pain i've had since April 2015! Have tried other Chiro, Epidural injections, Facet injections and Acupuncture without significant improvement. Since seeing Dana my pain level has drastically decreased. I can actually turn my head without my arm going numb.
