Fantastic experience: Awesome gym! Very Clean with Plenty of Space, weights and cardio machines. Relaxed vibe with a Friendly staff and nice mix of members of all ages. Classes and trainers available too!

Negative experience: Horrible experience, got a FREE 3 day pass to go in with my friends, was told those passes don’t count and it’s a $15 3 day pass ONLY if your going to join the gym, how would I know if I wanted to join the gym if I have to pay for a pass? Nicole and Tori were of no help telling me to get lost basically, customer service 0/10 especially when I went in and showed the website but was told that is wrong as well and again it is only for people who plan on becoming a member (possibly said to me as I don’t look in great shape but was looking for a gym closer to the phillipsburg area) Will not be spending my money here!

Our guest pass policy requires that trial passes be used by individuals who are genuinely interested in exploring membership, and we apologize if this wasn’t clearly communicated. However, when you clearly stated that you belong to another gym and had no interest in joining Fitness Factory, our team followed the policy correctly and did their best to explain the options available. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working to make sure all information online and in person is consistent and clear.
Fantastic experience: Been going here for a few years since it was club metro they’ve made a lot of improvements lately so if you haven’t seen it’s worth checking out for sure!

Fantastic experience: Been going to Fitness Factory when it was Metro. Love the atmosphere, the staff and people. I've noticed they've been upgrading stuff too which is amazing to see! I hope to see them add more equipment and maybe some newer equipment like Jacob's ladder Just a suggestion! Super fun and a good workout!

Fantastic experience: I typically train at the Mount Olive Fitness Factory but decided to switch things up today and was not disappointed. While Mount Olive may be more modernized as it is newer and offers some extra amenities, this location makes up for in a vibe that can't be bought. It started as soon as I walked in with a blonde woman whose name I regrettably forgot (working 1/21/25, late morning, deserves recognition) she was chatting with a gym goer, which like to see, but also immediately put that conversation on pause to help me get checked in. She was an incredible help and easy to talk to as I signed my day pass waiver. Gave me a quick run down of the gym's setup. She would do very well in management if she is not already. The atmosphere is less clinical and less uptight than most commercial gyms, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I find it motivating and less like I'm under a spotlight. Everyone habitually wiped down their machines when they were done, which is never consistent at gyms. All around had a great experience and looking forward to dropping in again soon.

Negative experience: Terrible, dirty and just a mess overall
Positive experience: A good place to work out and my experience has nothing but positive fellow gym goers and staff. I'd like to see more space and equipment for combat sports training and fitness though.
Negative experience: That's going to be a "no" from me. Called in the month of December to see if there are sign up specials. Phone rang to a 1800 number and had to press from a series of options to get to someone at front desk. Had to do this twice as nobody answered the phone during normal posted business hours. The young kid who answered the phone could not tell me if there were sign up specials and seemed to not know much about anything regarding this gym. What? I was advised to call back on the next day to speak to a manager if I wanted. No attempts to take my info down or try to put me on hold to get more info were made. Yikes! No thanks for $40 a month. If you can't answer the phone or don't know anything and the gym is older and needs updating, that's going to be a hard pass.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member since it open and the place is updating things and the people are nice. the convenience of a gym right near my house is key. My son joined with me and he loves it. The gym keeps me motivated. Definitely keep updating machines and keep it a great place. Thk u

Fantastic experience: I started going here a few weeks ago. Classes are fun and engaging. The trainers are helpful and they truly know how to help you reach your goals. The smoothies are delicious. Highly recommended
Negative experience: What a Big LIE. They said 24.99 a month. Simple right N.O.T Clearly someone told a lie and things arent adding up
Fantastic experience: They have a decent selection of equipment. Just wish they opened earlier than 7am on weekends. Otherwise it's a great gym!

Positive experience: Great gym, great people working there but very dissatisfied in the fact I couldn’t cancel my membership over the phone or even by mailing in or submitting the form online. They make you come in. Not cool.
Hi Codi, yes we do request that you come in and fill out the cancellation form, however if you are unable to come into the gym we will accept cancellation via email or standard mail as we do need it in writing. I apologize for any miscommunication.

Negative experience: Dont go to this gym gym after 8 years something got messed up with my prepayment and i got charged late fees un the pandemic. Payed the debt off and was told my account was closed only to get another call from a debt collector because they lied and never closed my account. They are liars and thieves and now have hurt my credit twice!!
We are sorry that you are unhappy. The payment deficiencies were not caused by Club Metro, however we have taken the steps to make sure that they have been resolved.
Negative experience: BEWARE! You are charged a ridiculous fee of $50.00 to cancel your membership! I purchased a membership for my son and he stopped going when the pandemic hit. Yes ...I have been paying for months and he hasn’t been there. Yes you’re open, but he doesn’t feel comfortable going yet. I would gladly have bought another membership in the future, but not now! Times are difficult for everyone...good business should have waived that fee in my opinion.
Hi Loren, thank you for your review. However, I would like to clear any confusion. We stopped all billing during the time in which the gym was closed (five months) due to Covid, we did resume billing once the gym reopened. We do not charge a cancellation fee of $50.00. We do follow a cancellation policy that requires a thirty day written notice and any payments due within that period of time the member is responsible for.
Negative experience: Too many people, not enough equipment, especially weights , specifically this place needs more power racks.

Fantastic experience: Club Metro is my favorite place in the world. Every time I come here I read the sign that says “If it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you” and I push myself further so that I can get as many GAINZ as possible. People that workout at Club Metro are simply built different. Incredible staff, and that one guy that works at the front desk makes the best shakes ever!
Negative experience: I recently got a 3 day trial at this location. I did my research and then decided to give it a try because the gym is stress reliever and an escape for me. Staff was great. But when I enter a gym, my focus is on the equipment. I want to see if the equipment for cardio, strength, etc. are evenly distributed throughout the gym. There are 2 floors which is great but here is the problem. There were more cardio geared equipment than anything else. The cardio geared equipment dominated both floors. The strength training equipment were rusty and only a few. Some were tucked away in an area in the back. The strength training section is super small to the point that several people were waiting on 1 machine. That's a no no for me. This location definitely needs to be remodeled.
Negative experience: The gym itself isn't bad but I've been double and triple billed multiple times. I've stopped going and I've been waiting for a year to be up so I can cancel my membership. I think because I've stopped going, they think they can charge me 2-3 times a month instead of the once a month fee. I really wouldnt recommend this place unless you want to pay up to $130 a month for a $30 a month membership

Fantastic experience: Great Place. We switched from Golds Gym in the mall and this place is so much better. The long hours make it easy to get there for a workout. It’s kept much cleaner then Golds.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful gym where other staff members and clients are like family. I've seen nothing but supportive people and classee all around. Even the childcare area and staff is amazing! Its a pleasure to work teaching yoga at this gym.
Positive experience: The staff here are amazing. Very welcoming and energetic. You can get a trainer if you want. It’s also nice that they have two different rooms that you can work out in separately from the main part of the gym when they don’t have classes. It can get crowded sometimes but there’s also times that you can walk in and there’s only 4 or 5 other people there. As for the equipment, I feel that they are lacking. They have many treadmills and a few ellipticals, but seem to be lacking in variety of cardio machines. A few of the bikes have issues from the seat bouncing around to the monitor not reacting to your touch. Some of the weigh machines feel too close together, but they did well with the space they have. And they do have a weight sled which is a plus!

Positive experience: Staff is fantastic. Facility is very clean. Environment is positive I am only giving a 4 of 5 because I have a believe they need another power rack and a reverse hyper extension machine to complete the place.
Negative experience: Cut the weekend late night hours, so not 24 hours 7 days a week anymore. Machines I like on the top level are all defective or broken. Basically overpaying for an unwanted high school reunion.
Negative experience: Today I experienced the worst service at club metro in Phillipsburg. After almost a year of coming to this gym, I was told I couldn’t bring my son, who was of age to go and that I do not have guest privileges. When I signed up, I was told that I have unlimited guest pass. I brought guest to the gy before and was never questioned and tonight, all of a sudden I can’t. The manager had the nerve to tell me that no one could tell me that because the girl who signed me up have been working with them for years and so she knows for a fact she couldn’t have said that. In other worst this woman is calling me a liar. Really lady?? I was racially targeted in this gym. There were other people in that gym with their kids working out who I know for a fact that they were the same age as my son. Why? They attend the same school, in the same grade and my son is friends with them. Not once did the manager go up o them and ask them to leave. That’s some BS. I will definitely be canceling my membership. Plus people there are nasty. They don’t even wipe the machines down after use.
Hi Nadine, thanks again for your feedback. Like I told you when we spoke the other day, in order to have access to guest privileges, one must add them onto his/her existing membership.
Regarding your son, you misled our staff about your son's age on multiple occasions. Once we found out that your son did not meet the age requirement, we again reminded you of said age requirement, which is in place for the safety of the children. Thank you for flagging that your son's classmates also do not meet the requirement, so we can now ensure they follow the same protocol.
Our gym is open from Monday at 4am to Friday at 11pm. We are also open from 5am-10pm on the weekends. So, again like we discussed, we are open 24 hours certain days, just not 7 days a week.
Please note: there has been a precedent set in New Jersey that anyone who knowingly writes a false and damaging review can be sued for defamation.

Positive experience: Staff are friendly, and the gym is clean with ample amount of equipment for the location. Like most gyms they get you with the annual membership.
Positive experience: It's adequate and clean. Missed the mark on functional fitness...there are no Concept II rowers and equipment randomly placed around.

We offer the following functional equipment: Push/Pull Sled, Pull Up Bars, Battle Ropes, Box Steps, Kettlebells, and Suspension Trainers. Please see one of our personal trainers who will be glad to offer assistance on how to use to the equipment!
Fantastic experience: I recently left another gym to try Club Metro hoping that I would finally find a gym that met my expectations. I am happy to say that Club Metro had exceeded my expectations! I love the different variety of classes and the different times of the day and night they are offered but more importantly, I love how friendly & helpful the staff and trainers are. You are always greeted with a smile as soon as you walk in and everyone is there to help in any way they can. They even have an onsite Chiropractic office there, which has been a great experience in efforts to keep me fit and healthy. I couldn't be happier that I made the the switch to Club Metro!
