BHMG - United Medical Lyndhurst is a healthcare provider known for its caring and compassionate staff. Many patients appreciate the clean and well-maintained office, as well as the excellent care received from healthcare providers like Dr. Amandeep Singh, who is often described as thorough and attentive. Several users have highlighted the competency of the specialists available, including those in gastroenterology and cardiology, noting that they all accept the same insurance, which is a major convenience for patients.
Positive feedback emphasizes the friendliness and politeness of the staff, and the willingness of providers to address patient concerns and follow up on care. Many have expressed their satisfaction with the overall treatment and the personalized approach given by doctors like NP Myoung Park, who is lauded for her attentiveness and thoroughness during appointments.
However, there have been some concerns regarding long wait times, even for scheduled appointments, and challenges with communication from the front desk. Some patients reported difficulties in reaching staff via phone and a lack of timely callbacks regarding test results. Additionally, a few users mentioned feeling frustrated by the office's administrative processes and occasional inconsistencies in service.
Overall, while there are areas for improvement, BHMG - United Medical Lyndhurst strives to maintain a patient-centered approach and has a loyal patient base that appreciates the quality of care provided by its medical staff.
BHMG- United Medical Lyndhurst: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Good staff and clean office, Laurie is a nice and compassionate Medical Assistant, and the healthcare providers listen to your concerns.
Negative experience: Dr singh is a great doctor and all but jeez... Wait times are ridiculous, even with appointments. Time is money and way too much is spent in this office.
Fantastic experience: This is THE BEST place to go for not just a PCP (Dr. Singh), there are also more Specialists. Such as a Gastroenterology, Cardiologist etc. They all take the same insurance. Anytime I have had blood work done there, the laboratory Techs were GREAT. I had no pain! Most of all, the employees are THE NICEST, MOST POLITE & VERY WILLING to help you with ANYTHING you need!!! Try them out, it won't be a waste of your time! Thank you ladies and Gents for ALWAYS being caring & helpful! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! VERY SINCERELY, MELISSA J Hugs
Negative experience: I went there for a blood test, they were suppose to call me 2 days later for the test results, it's been 15 days and no update! I have been calling them and no answers!! very bad clinic
Negative experience: This office is an absolute mess. I thought the mishap with them using an expired vial for a pap smear causing me to have to go through that uncomfortable procedure twice in a week was bad. But today's visit reminded me why I haven't been there in 4 years. I called them on Saturday requesting an appointment because I was showing flu symptoms and the earliest they could take me was Monday at 1:30. Monday morning rolls around and I call them to confirm my appointment at 8:03 am and the office was still closed. Once I finally got someone on the line, they told me that an appointment was never made for me at that specified time but someone could see me at 2:15. I get there at 1:59pm, sign in and give them my updated insurance information and mention that I had previously spoken to someone who told me my appointment was at 1:30 and they didn't address it until I noticed the receptionist struggling with my insurance information. Turns out she was looking at another Jennifer's record. They thought I was the other Jennifer despite giving them special identifiers like my last name and DOB. As I'm filling out paperwork, I overhear a staff member talking to a nurse saying that I should've been there at 1:30 and that I was late. I reiterated that I wasn't late, that they just apparently didn't have me on schedule, but the woman pushed it back on me as if I was late and that I was still seeing someone at 2:15 as if she was doing me a favor. NEVER AGAIN. December 2023 Update: I called them 2 weeks ago to see if they had prior test results from when I used to be a patient there, to which they didn't have much information. Not surprising considering the reviews here. To make things worse, THEY SENT MY MEDICAL RECORDS TO MY OLD ADDRESS that I moved out from 3 years ago without notifying me until after they got the forwarded mail or confirming my new address. How is this place still in business?
Negative experience: I have been seeing doctors in this office for a decade. The staff are so difficult to dealt with. They dont listen what the patient needs, they just want to always have an appointment and earn money for the visits even it is a follow that doctors ask to do so.
Negative experience: If I can give this place a -5 i WOULD; the front desk and staff and nurses' if they are nurses are rude and judgmental; and if you work in a office that offers substance maintenance then maybe do not shout it out in front of office - Dr Parks is no longer there no matter what picture - and my partner was dismissed because of their own office politics with from desk and ms parks (who was nice).. I am in healthcare and this place and staff; and mind I have called myself to speak to senior mgmt or managers - no calls -
Negative experience: My review of United Medical is the first within over 20+ years of being a patient. I go way back to the great Byong Park as my first dr there! I was not thrilled with the dr I had there a couple of years ago however but remained silent. I have nothing but amazing praise for Myong Park tho! She is the true essence and model of what a professional should be. Even in her busiest appointment days she found time to either call me ( follow up) or make sure I received my scripts ok. Today 9/2 I had a very unpleasant conversation with a front desk personnel this Saturday. Like a few I have come across lately in the medical/ pharmacy field. They are very condescending, interrupt you quite often ( to hear them spew out information I already know) disgruntled and very very argumentative. It seems when something goes against THEIR grain ( not the company they work for!) they put you on hold or brush you off. I was promised a call back from dr on call but I doubt that will happen since I got ‘ disconnected’. Once again , for the years I’ve gone to the Lyndhurst office I’ve enjoyed most front desk / nurses / drs but each company has their bad characters. I hope these reviews will not only help future patients but maybe give a wake up call to treat the patient with some compassion and LISTEN to what they have to say!
Fantastic experience: We love NP Park! She really cares about her patients and she is great with following up with visits. We go to this location for her.
Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but high regards for United Medical at Lyndhurst, NJ. The front office staff are very pleasant, thorough, and efficient. There's a very small window for wait time. The Medical Tech's are excellent in their service. But, most of all my care is always the best! Dr. Ahmandeep, Singh is a excellent doctor. I don't feel like I'm just a number when I'm seen by Dr. Singh. Dr. Singh is compassionate, kind and most of all very thorough. He explains everything from your condition, to your medicine. Dr. Singh treats you with respect among other things. I highly recommend Dr. Singh and the United Medical Staff.
Fantastic experience: Have been coming here for over a decade. See many of the specialists and have been given nothing but the most compassionate care. They’ve often been able to accommodate my hectic schedule, array of health issues and have always treated me with nothing but respect.
Negative experience: 1- Privacy is non-existent - the scale/bp/medical history area is IN THE HALLWAY where other patients can hear what is being asked and answered. 2 - The nurses are awful. If a patient declines to be weighed that should absolutely be respected. If I say no, I don't expect to be berated by the nurse. EVERY other dr office I have gone to has made this a non-issue. GET WITH THE TIMES. 3 - The waiting room is insufficient and overcrowded. Allow patients to wait in their car or outside, as many dr. offices allow now.
Negative experience: Very rude office staff
Negative experience: Horrible! Don't waste your time or money. They don't help you with anything. The front desk is horrible and the doctor googles everything.
Fantastic experience: Been seeing Dr Singh for over 8 years including 2 other Dr's but no disrespect to them. They are great but Dr Singh is the #1 Dr for me and my wife. He never gets lost in the $$$ aspect of the business. He is all about the patient. Email and script requests are responded to immediately. Unfortunately not every Dr will treat you as good as Dr Singh. I will also say staff is top notch also. They are respectful and courteous....
Negative experience: I’ve been going to UM for 10+ years & it was never an issue to get an appointment. As of the last few years it’s next to impossible to get someone on the phone or an appointment within the same week. Not sure what happened to the practice but I’m very disappointed. I love Dr. Singh, nothing bad to say about him, the practice itself needs to do better. I’ve called at least 10x within the last 48 hours & I’ve left multiple VM & haven’t received a call back. I’ll finally be leaving UM, how can one have a primary doctor whom they can’t get an apt/in touch with?
Fantastic experience: Been going there for years, great place.
Fantastic experience: Unbelievable attention is paid to the patient. Jamie was remarkable and helped with obtaining a prescription that has been on back order for a while. She went the extra mile to ensure I was set up for the next year - not weeks, but a full year. Many thanks, Jamie. Forever grateful!!
Fantastic experience: Been going here for years. Ms Park PA is extraordinarily kind and compassionate. Alba MA has always been respectful, caring and hands-on. At front desks Carissa, Melanie & Agatha man the logistics and seem to do it well making them a good fit. And last but not least a huge thank you to Coquette (Cozy) wherever she is, the patience she showed navigating me to google reviews was grateful!
Negative experience: Receiving a call while I'm rushing to get ready for work isn't a call I'm going going pick up first off. To get notification that my appt is canceled after showing up to the front office was also another sign. I wouldn'tbother. They did this to my father too .never again
Negative experience: Since Dr Park left, the office has gone from a family practice where you felt like you had personal care and a true level of a personal touch to a speed dating approach to doctoring where there is no respect for your time and absolutely no continuity of care. It has become a terrible Doctor’s office and would not recommend it to anyone! A great example was today when I took my mother who is in a wheelchair to the office for a routine shot. Not only did we have to wait 45 minutes before being called in to start the checking in process (vitals) but when we asked if we could please move a little quicker we got moved back to the waiting room. We waited another 5 minutes and was sent a different nurse to inform us the THE DID NOT HAVE ANY PROLIA SHOTS IN THE OFFICE!!! The soul purpose of our visit! The reasons they called us to schedule my mother’s 6 month visit/shot! It is frustrating enough that they waste everyone time the way that they do by double and triple booking… but to have no system in place so know that they are out of stock!?!?!?!?!?!? Why wouldn’t they call us in advance to reschedule and not waste our time even coming to the office? They lost their touch and lack care! This has become the norm….the method of operation for this office unfortunately as of late. It is incredibly frustrating as there are a handful of really great people who work here. Unfortunately they no longer outweigh they angst and frustration we feel when dealing with every issue that arises with this office! If I could give them a 0 I would!
Fantastic experience: The staff and Doctors are very supportive and provide excellent care.
Positive experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Singh since he started and NP Park when I can see him. It’s been probably almost 10 years! I since moved over an hour away and I still use them! Those two are amazing! They make you feel very comfortable! I recently did almost change doctors tho. The office staff is so rude! Being a patient as long as I have been I could not believe how horrible they were being! I’ve been doing phone appointments so I’m not sure if they are new because I used to love the ladies in the front office. Don’t even get me started on the billing department smh
Fantastic experience: Ive been a patient at the Lyndhurst office for many years and I find everyone at this office goes out of their way to be helpful friendly and courteous if I have any questions or concerns, they will always take the time to make sure I are comfortable. The Dr's at this office are highly professional and I always feel comfortable seeing them. I would highly recommend the Lyndhurst office.
Fantastic experience: Dr.Park(NP) has been taking care of my health for few years now and I've been in a good health. She not only take care of my health but also listen to my health concerns.
Thank you so much for your feedback on google. We really appreciate you taking time out to share your experience with us. NP Park is truly a gem and we are so lucky to have her on our team.
Fantastic experience: NP Myoung Park is a wonderful physician who I am happy to have had now for many years as my primary care physician. She's attentive, funny and thorough in her visits. Just someone who makes you feel very comfortable. She's reliable and makes sure you're aware of your results after any exam almost as soon as she gets them. Happy to have her as my physician.
Thank you for the awesome review Patricia. We work hard to meet expectations like yours and we are happy to hear we hit the mark for you.
Positive experience: I've been under their care for a few years now, I have had some major health issues and situations occur over this time, but Dr Park (APD) has always shown great care for my health. Like everywhere theres a wait and that's life these days.
Thank you for the great review. We are so happy you liked your experience.
Fantastic experience: Awesome Doctors awesome office staff. I always have a good experience on my visits I highly recommend this office and doctors
Thank you for the kind words Joseph. we are so happy you had a great experience.
Negative experience: I see my endocrinologist there, no complaints about him. However, I called to make an appointment for a PCP, after explaining the reasons why I needed the appointment, I was told that the Dr. can only do the video consultation. The reality is that I need for the Dr. to actually see me in person because I had done the video consultation before, he prescribed me antibiotics and it didn't work. So what is the point of the appointment if the doctor can't see me.
Thank you for your feedback. we are always looking for ways to improve. we are sorry our services didn't measure up to your standards. We hope to have an opportunity in the future to make a better impression.
Negative experience: Dr Singh is a good doctor. The front office staff/call center is absolutely atrocious. A toddler with a Fisher Price doctor’s set could do their job better. Incompetent as well as nasty. Again, Dr. Singh is awesome.
We totally understand your frustration here. There is nothing more valuable to us than hearing directly from our clients. We will learn from this feedback and work on improving.
Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would, how do you not call a patient back with their blood results and then when you return the call the patient left, you lie about their blood results?? I had to wait til I had blood done at another doctor to find out I was lied to by a doctor from here. Before anyone thinks oh maybe your labs changed, I had them email me my original tests and see I was lied to. Stay far away from this place.
We totally understand your frustration here. There is nothing more valuable to us than hearing directly from our customers, and we will learn from this experience to improve going forward.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Singh has been my PCP for years with good results and I have nothing to say but good things about the staff and nurses. Their handling of infection control during the beer-bug has also been impeccable whether Telemedicine or necessary paperwork.
Thank you so much for your review! We are glad you had a positive experience. We look forward to our continued partnership as your healthcare professionals.
Negative experience: Two Stars for office/staffs. Dr. Singh is absolutely good. I've been visited this Lynhurst office over 7 years. Front desk staffs constantly change and whenever I make an appointment the new staff(pretty much every time) said "Dr. Singh is not my primary doctor in the system, you need to change" I said you are looking at my OBGYN doctor, I don't know why your office cannot see my primary doctor Singh. But no matter what new staffs said "call insurance company and get reference number unless I cannot book" I explained to all new staffs million times, my primary Doctor is Singh, I don't know why your system cannot see. Only this office always asks me to call to my insurance company and change doctor name and get reference number. Guess what? I called to my insurance company million times to get reference number because of new staffs, even if I asked them to put memo, it repeated over 6 years. So please please keep your staffs, stop change. If there is no Dr. Singh, I already change my primary doctor looooooooooong time ago Whenever I call this office, most of staffs sounds like angry or exhausted. Staffs first word is always "Please hold"
Fantastic experience: Dr. Singh is the best!!
Fantastic experience: I have been to multiple doctors prior to this one and I must say With all my heart that I’ve never Felt more comfortable and more welcomed and cared for than this place. Amazing friendly caring staff, amazing doctors and practitioners. One particular one is M Young Park, she is NP but to me she is a full pledge doctor because of her warm heart and caring natural, no Dr before her ever showed any concern toward me As she has, always checking up on me and always shown genuine concern toward my health, she’s an amazing woman working in an amazing office. I truly recommend her and all the staff there to anyone who’s looking for what I have been receiving. God bless them all
Fantastic experience: Myoung Park......I dont make reviews much but i want everyone to know where im from(Alabama) you want find a Dr like Park. Ive been in NJ working for a yr. while seeing her after 3 back surgeries from back home she has done everything in her power to help me stay out of pain so i could work . She is the most understanding and caring Dr i have ever had. back home you dont have a Dr like her. Thank you so much. Staff was great
Negative experience: Takes way too long to see Dr & it’s never packed
Negative experience: I had appt in the Lynhurst office today because the Clifton office had no appts.Never again I will go to this office again.Had the appt at 10:45 this morning. The Dr said she will send my prescriptions to my pharmacy.Mind you I take 2 buses to get home.Scripts never filled. They filled an old prescription I had on file that I didn't need.I called them back again the Drs office and the girl said they will send them.Called Pharmacy again.Still no meds.Called the Dr again the 3rd time. Now they said the Dr is calling them in.It's 5:20 at this point.Frustrated and sick.
Negative experience: I would give no stars to this practice. I had 3 appointments that I had to cancel with the nutritionist. Then I made an appointment with Dr Goykhman and they canceled my appointment and told me they would not see me ever since I missed 3 with the nutritionist. Helen was very rude. I have been in the hospital several times with heart problems and open heart surgery and this is not the way to treat a patient.
Negative experience: This funny jewish guy acting like a MD, but a physical assistant or the name by Dr. Dershowitz who is clearly not smart enough to be a doctor. He clearly does not belong to be even a PA as he does absolutely nothing for the patients. Misinforms patients. I'm a long time type 1 diabetic and this guy has no idea what he is doing, but changing my meds without my consent and enough reasonable reasons. Belongs in a after school babysitting place than a medical center like this. Please be aware. Dr. Dershowitz. This guy is clearly not a DOCTOR.
Fantastic experience: Dr Singh is the best! I've been a patient here for many years and I have nothing but GOOD things to say. All of the girls who work here are friendly and helpful. When I make an appointment I very rarely wait longer than a few minutes, and Dr Singh is funny, super Intelligent, and just a really great doctor. He is always on top of my charts and pushing me to get the proper tests/ work done. I'm a very happy patient!
Negative experience: They never pick up the phone. The nurses are horrible and really rude. Also they never see you on your appointment time you would wait almost 30 minutes to an 1 hour before they even see you. The only thing good In that office is doctor Strizhevsky, Marina.
Negative experience: Test results take weeks to get posted on patient portal. Office staff won't provide results.
Fantastic experience: excellent staff, drs at this place are all so good at what they do.The waiting room sucks though.
Fantastic experience: Great attention from staff, very friendly and Dr Marina rocks!!! She is quick to address any issues with my health! (MS patient)
Negative experience: Receptionists should be working at a fast food resteraunt. They are incompetent and rude.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Singh Is the best hes so easygoing And always make me feel comfortable also hes very knowledgeable.
Negative experience: If I could give this no stars I would. Was supposed to have a test called several times over a 2 week period. No one ever called me back. Drs are lack luster and of no help. Find a different place to go. This place reminds me of a drive thru.
Positive experience: The staff is super nice and helpful. Dr. Singh is a great, he takes the time to listen and talk to you. Not rushing in and out. I highly recommend them.
Fantastic experience: UPDATE 8/23/17 to the original 2 out of 5 stars review left 8 months ago.... UPDATE: Since leaving my original review (which I have deleted), things have certainly gotten better. Perhaps its the result of this facility seeing numerous poor reviews and correcting their ways, OR perhaps my incidents were just isolated ones. In all fairness, I have to say that while this staff may not be perfect, they do their very best with the influx of work they're faced with on a daily basis. I also firmly believe that they never even saw my review, or realized it was me who left it, because they have been nothing but nice to me and it never seemed forced. Yes, the waiting room is cramped and usually not very well climate controlled. Other than that I have found that in the last 8 months, this staff has been very attentive and polite. I've also seen them be this way with other patients. Once I realized that I was having issues dealing with the staff, I made adjustments that made it easier for things to go smoothly. I am a frequent visitor who is there for a weekly injection, so I'm dealing with this staff far more often than most patients ever will. I have also avoided the need to make phone calls and have learned to either just walk in or communicate directly with the doctor. The staff at the front end are honestly outstanding and I've come to realize this after leaving my harsh review and becoming more observant of the responsibilities they have and the workload that's dumped on them. It's honestly no wonder that they may seem frustrated or short-tempered on occasion. We all would be if we worked as hard as they do. The woman I dealt with 8 months ago who prompted me to post the bad review has not been back since. Either she was terminated or she realized she'd be better off with a job that did not require much thought or consideration of others. Either way, SHE is gone and it would've been 100% wrong of me to leave this review as it was and continue to stain the name of this business as the result of one bad seed. Lastly, I'll say it again... Dr. Amandeep Singh is a very young doctor but he excels in his bedside manner and knowledge. I am NEVER RUSHED and I am never left feeling like my health concerns are only MINE. He seems to want to address any health issues I may have and will stop at nothing to do so.
Positive experience: Administrative staff suck high time. They do least care about patients calls . I am not sure either they are super busy or act busy but such a bitter experience . I need to make multiple calls to get information on scheduled appointment or prescription request. Follow up : I see some changes after posting on web particularly receiving phone calls instead of voice mail . awesome to see management working on something on changes triggered by reviews
Fantastic experience: I've been going to this office for the last 5 years, I've only had nothing but good experiences.. everyone I have recommended to this office had only good experiences.. i have been seeing doctor Singh for a little over a year now and he is very professional and careing.. all of the nurses and very good as well and very professional, they all know me by name and are very kind! I would recommend this office to anyone!!
Fantastic experience: Dr Singh is mine and my husband dr . The office is always quick to get us in and Dr Singh takes his time and listens and explains everything to you . All the Staff including the Lab are very nice and professional
Negative experience: DR Singh is the worst the faculty is dirty over crowded and staff is so so nasty find a better place for real
Positive experience: Dr. Dershowitz is my doctor and he's pretty good. He was the only doctor I found since moving from Texas who kept me on Armour Thyroid instead of trying to put me on synthroid that does not work for me. He's been great through this pregnancy and I love the Phlebotomist they have, I can't remember his name. The only issue is the small waiting room. I always have to stand up when I get there and once I became 6 months pregnant that was a big issue for me. There is a waiting room upstairs but you have to wait a while to go up there. Other than that, the wait time has gotten better and the office staff has gotten better as well since my first visit around Sept 2016
Positive experience: Dr. Singh works well with me. I believe he's an efficient doctor. I sent him an email yesterday, 6/27/17, afternoon requesting referral and within 15 mins. got a reply informing me that he already placed order to my request. However, the referral was only sent this morning. Not his fault. It should have been a 5 star!!
Fantastic experience: I had no issues with my visits here. I also had a great experience with Dr. Singh and the rest of the staff.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Signh is an excellent doctor with the best bedside manners. The front desk ladies are really awesome and I recommend this office to anyone looking for a good doctor. The wait time is better than most places. I'm actually seen with 20 mins of my appt Then Dr. Sighn emails me a summary of my visit. Pretty cool.
Positive experience: I love Dr. Singh. When I need something they call me back immediately. Front desk is helpful and nice
Negative experience: This may have been the worst doctors office I've gone to! Dr. Singh seemed brand new to medicine and stayed facing his laptop during majority of the visit. He wanted to run multiple completely unnecessary tests that were unrelated to the reason I came in for the visit. For the tests that were run, it has been over 3 weeks and I have yet to receive information regarding the results. This place was horrible. Find another doctors office...this place should be your absolutely last resort.
Negative experience: Horrible office called for a week to get a prescription refilled before I had to physically go down to office.
Negative experience: Very bad place don't waste your health and money there. Dr A. Singh is the worse there. Talking on the phone during most of the visit. Charged me for two visits in one visit because I was asking two types of questions. Also messed up the charge codes, after that I was going back and forth with the stuff to fix it but at the end after 6 months back and forth I still overpaid for their mistake.
Negative experience: This doctor's office is horrible. The other comments don't matter at this point because they made me wait almost 50 minutes without an apology. I was furious and they didn't even care whether I was angry or not. I went in the office followed by 12 people for the next 30 minutes. During that time everybody else got called in and left while I was still sitting there doing nothing. Their service is horrible and I do not recommend this office at all unless your willing to wait 1 hour for a 5 minute talk with the doctor.
Negative experience: Every doctor at this house of making money is a lyer and a crook. None of them went to medical school in the USA. They have specialists that work at this communist clinic a few times a month, and one doctor in particular, Dr Pegatti will see to it that you see every specialist possible to ensure maximum profits. The way he does this is by taking blood for certain things at the wrong times. For instance, they will check your cholesterol even if you say that you have eaten in the past few hours. They will check hormones such as testosterone as late in the day as possible to ensure a low reading to get your scared enough to see their endocrinologist. They will ask prying questions and if you say something as simple as "yea I have been running around a lot stressing because of work." they will recommend you see the most pseudo science doctor of all, a psychiatrist. Psych doctors are not even real doctors, and it is sad that they make the decision to go to medical school, and then make the decision to sit in a cozy little room and collect money by talking annoying house wives. All 3 or 4 of their offices should be shut down, and Dr Pagotti belongs in jail for attempting to perform unnecessary procedures because a lot of people are probably dumb enough to listen to him. I am currently investigating every doctor at the practice, from incidences here all the way back to South Korea, and if I can dig up any dirt on any of the doctors, expect to see it here. I do not lie to make people look bad, these people do fine at looking bad all on their own. we should cap the money these Marxist doctors can charge for appointments if they are coming from country like South Korea with socialized medicine and all kinds of communist programs just to take advantage of our free market capitalism. None of these doctors deserve jobs. And if you do not heed my warning, and you end up going there anyway, just remember that I am forewarning you right now that the doctors office is also a "suboxone clinic" which is basically like methadone. So you have stinky bumbling addicts in their 20s and 30s showing up with their mommies because they do not have jobs to buy cars and or they spend all their money on heroin. This place is pathetic and I felt poor and stupid even going there.
