Fantastic experience: I've had T1 diabetes for over 20 years, and I've been seeing Dr. Patel for close to 7 years. He is by far the best Endocrinologist and doctor, I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the mechanics of diabetes, but he also offers a lot of advice about nutrition and other ways to keep your glucose under control. He is a very caring Dr. and really cares about his patients. I would recommend to anyone who needs an endo, that they make an appointment to see him!

Negative experience: Tried calling for an appointment and the office informed me I would have to wait 10 months for a new patient appointment . That is a joke. Who would wait that long for an appointment? I would respect the doctors office more if they tell me that the doctor is not taking new patients. Obviously, this is a way to discourage anyone from going to see him. Found better doctor with more availability.

Negative experience: I just called to book a new patient appointment with Dr Patel after reviewing all of his raving reviews. I'm sure he is excellent, but doesnt help when you cant get in to see him. First available appointment is this December. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Most Doctors are good. The difference between a good and a great doctor is a genuine care for patients' pain and sufferings. Dr. Soham Patel is a great doctor. His staffs are caring, polite, and highly professional. I was in urgent need to find a good endocrinologist (as my good old doctor moved out of state). Dr. Patel's office only took in new patients with 3 months or so waiting as office policy. My husband called and called and begged Dr. Patel to see me (as I said above I had an urgent situation after bad experience with Florida Medical Clinic Endocrinology specialists). "Dr. Patel will make an office rule exception to see her tomorrow as he reviewed the call logs/requests from the husband and thought she must have been in a bad situation" - his receptionist responded to my husband's last begging attempt. Dr. Patel cured my ailment with interesting method of his. I'm now only needing 6 month follow-up frequency. I strongly recommend Dr. Soham Patel.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel is an amazing doctor who truly cares about his patient's health and well being. He is by far the best medical doctor I have. He sits and takes his time with you and explains everything while using little anecdotes to help with understanding. He tries to get to the bottom of medical issues rather than throw unnecessary medications at it, if they are not needed. I have never felt rushed and am truly grateful to be under his care. I am doing so much better with his help and support. The office is clean, they don't overbook and make you wait. I don't think i have ever had to wait more than a minute or two to be called back. When you are called back and put into a room, you aren't sitting there forgotten about, Dr. Patel comes into the room very promptly. He is very respectful of time. The nurse and other staff are very nice too. I wish my other medical doctors were like Dr. Patel; he is truly an amazing doctor who takes time to listen and care and sadly those types of doctors are very rare these days.

Fantastic experience: In 2007 my world turned and twisted to run a completely different race. I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Like so many others, I had no idea what the actual functin the pancreas played or een where it was located in my body. I found out real fast that our pancreas main job is to help you digest your food and control your blood sugar. Normally it does its work seamlessly, behind the scenes. But when things go wrong, it can affect your entire body. After, seeing four other endocrinologists I hit the jack pot. On my second visit with Dr. Patel, I met Jacinda who changed my entire health condition. Jacinda Shapiro is a registered nurse and a certified diabetes educator, who runs Dr. Patel's coaching side of the practice. As a type 1 diabetic and cancer survivor, Jacinda has worked with me for several months using many tools to optimize my diabetes to a completely different level. She has coached me on how to adjust my bolus settings ... which have changed numerous times and will likely always be changing as needed. In these few months, Jacinda has explained why lentils and beans are so important in controlling my blood sugars and keeping them at a steady level. I have discovered so many websites with amazing recipes and have explored new foods and spices. I am now learning what foods I love and how to create my own recipes. I have decreased my insulin intake by 40% and my A1C has decreased by 1%. (BONUS). I highly recommend Jacinda's coaching program. The benefits of working with Dr. Patel and Jacinda have been invaluable.

Negative experience: I have been waiting for this appointment for months.. The providers office called,emailed and even Pre texted to confirm my TIME. With that being said I arrived to my appointment filled out paperwork prior to avoid wait time.. My appointment was at 1:30pm.I hear the Dr go in to see another patient at my scheduled appointment. I spoke with the secretary and stated Unfortunately I could not wait another 35 minutes… And the next available appointment would be March.. Our time is important as well. Please don’t overbook you’re practice so you can accommodate you’re patients accordingly to their time.

Fantastic experience: Amazing practice! Had my first visit with Dr. Patel yesterday and was blown away by the fact he spent an hour with me talking about my health concerns and reviewing my records. An HOUR! I have never walked out of a doctor's office feeling so supported. He genuinely cares for his patients and their health - this shows. Later that day I got a patient portal notification and signed in to read my appointment summary. He took very detailed notes of our enounter, my relayed medical history, my offical medical records I gave him, as well as his suggestions for next steps and follow-ups. I didn't even need to take the notes I took during our appointment as it was all detailed out in my portal. His office staff, medical assistant, and dietician were all extremely helpful as well. I highly recommend this office to anyone!

It is very rare to find this awesome combination of true well-rounded medical expertise...and to top that with endocrinology and nutrition! As a doctor myself, I am aware of the enormous need that our present society has for this rare resource as we all struggle with the health consequences of our own metabolic or nutritional challenges. I looked into Dr. Patel and saw difference in reviews so was a little leary until I actually saw him and I am glad to have taken the chance and seen him. He is fantastic. Fantastic experience: I am a returning patient of Dr. Patel's. When he left to start his own practice, I remained at the old facility for 1-1/2 years. Overall I've been his patient for about 6 years or so. Dr. Patel takes his time with his patients. He spends that quality time that we used to get back in the 70s and 80s with your PCP. No rush, whatever time is needed to make sure that you are healthy. He provides great advice and materials to help your situations. I love the fact that he gives you the information, then asks you if there are any questions you may have or anything else he can do. He does not use a lot of medical terms and jargon that we don't understand If he does he explains it But mostly provides detailed information in more layman's terms. I had a stressful position, which in turn caused me to be tired all the time. His recommendation was not with medicine but food. I did what he recommended and it gave me more energy. I was a little leery when I first met him because he was recommending food over medicine in curtain situations. Before going to Dr Patel I'd went to the same for 20 years but he retired late in life. What I love the most is that he listens and treats you according to your medical results and more importantly how you feel. I have been treating under his care for the last three years, and could not ask for a better endocrinologist. There are so many positive things to say about Dr. Patel – his bedside manner, knowledge of both holistic & western medicine, his personable demeanor, and his thorough care of his patients. Prior to seeing Dr. Patel, I was with another endocrinologist, who had no interest in customizing a health & lifestyle plan that would be best for me. I was only handed pills, and was never informed that in time, I could actually HEAL my body so that the prescriptions I was on, would no longer be needed. That is when I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Patel. Right away, he explained to me that life without Graves’ Disease and PCOS was possible through nutrition and other lifestyles choices. He spent plenty of time walking me through how this could be achieved, what additional resources were available that could help me stay the course toward my healing, and answering any questions/concerns that I had. After three years, Dr. Patel has remained the same thorough and genuinely helpful provider that he was in the beginning. Honestly, my health would not be where it is today without Dr. Patel. Because of his knowledge, encouragement, and personalized care - my prescription dosage has been lowered, my bloodwork has improved significantly, and I am almost to the point of remission! In fact, if it were not for my own poor nutritional decisions I would have been in remission years ago, thanks to Dr. Patel! Dr. Patel truly wants his patients to be informed, empowered, and healthy from the inside out, which is so rare to find in a doctor. As I mentioned earlier, another thing that I love about Dr. Patel is his bedside manner and thorough care. It is amazing that he makes himself so available to his patients. In February, I was scheduled to have surgery for something completely unrelated to Dr. Patel’s specialty. However, when I went to the hospital for my pre-op visit, the nurses and anesthesiologist were concerned that my thyroid levels were possibly too high for the surgery. They urgently instructed me to call Dr. Patel’s Office to schedule an appointment so that I could request clearance for the surgery. To both mine and the hospital team’s surprise, Dr. Patel himself came on the phone and proceeded to discuss my case with the anesthesiology team directly – no appointment necessary! The surgery team was completely in awe that my doctor would step in to help as quickly as he did. This just goes to show that Dr. Patel goes above and beyond because he genuinely cares for the people that he treats. He could have easily brushed me off and forced me to pay a co-pay for his assistance, but instead, he did what he could to help because of the urgency of the situation. I am so appreciative to Dr. Patel and his wonderful office staff for the quality healthcare and assistance that they provide! I would recommend Dr. Patel to anyone in need of an endocrinologist!

However, I have read the last review, and I have to say that I could not agree more, so I will just reiterate what Ms Delgado kindly, accurately, and fairly noted. Fantastic experience: I have had diabetes, Type 1, all my life and have always been under the care of an endocrinologist. As an adult I feel I was consistently under mediocre care, meaning my diabetes was somewhat controlled, but by no means optimally. I have been seeing Dr. Patel for several years now and am so thankful to have found him. My care with him began while he was working in another group office. He currently is in private practice, and although he has not been yet "approved" by my insurance, I continue to see him and pay out of pocket...happily. I actually fly in from out of state because I am that determined to never have to switch endocrinologists, and there are so many reasons why. Dr.Patel uses a precise combination of typical diabetic care and suggested lifestyle and diet changes. I say suggested because it is certainly not at all forced. The doctor himself is soft spoken, kind and easy to talk to. This combination has proven successful as my A1C levels have dropped, my blood glucose levels are more consistent and steady, I have lost weight and I just feel, overall, more comfortable, safe and hopeful. Lab work says everything, but it isn't just the great lab results that I can rave about, I appreciate the smaller things as well. For example, the Dr is always available through messaging on the patient portal. This is HUGE. Medical questions and situations can be nerve wrecking and this is such a calming and helpful feature. Not only does he respond in a timely manner, he requests communication so that he can be made aware of your progress and issues. He is as eager for your success as you are, and at the end of the day, that is a lovely and beyond helpful rarity. There is also TONS of helpful information on the website, along with the ability to book appointments and modify appointments online. As a very busy professional it is so very refreshing to have a doctor in touch with the modern world, but still old fashioned enough to truly relate to his patients with sincerity. The office is sparkling clean and I have never waited more than 5-10 minutes (BIG relief considering I have been to many offices where I have waited over an hour). It is nice to know your time is as much appreciated as his. Lastly, but definitely not least, is the office staff, and if I had to describe them in one word, I would say wonderful. They are friendly, helpful and just nice. I have had issues at blood labs and when I called they were right on top of things and so eager to help and problem solve. They are diligent with reminders, and scheduling, if you prefer to do it through them, and not online, is a breeze. They are an absolute pleasure to deal with (now, take a moment and think to yourself, when was the last time you could say that??). Truly good doctors are all too often not as easy to find, or available as they should be. Here is your exception. I whole heartedly recommend this physician and his office and will continue to advance my health in his hands...I suggest you do the same.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff. On time! Dr. Patel actually listens and tries to get to the root of the problem. He doesn’t just pile on medications to fix issues. He actually ended up taking me off my medications so I could get off the pharma hamster wheel and start healing my body with correct food according to blood work that came back. And then he asked if I had any more questions!!! He’s willing to figure out the hormonal regarding a hysterectomy at an early age. And the menopausal occurrences that now are my new season! Fantastic experience: Dr.Patel is an AMAZING physician. I come from a medical professional background so I know a good physician when I meet one! He is kind with a great bedside manner, on top of being extremely talented in his field. I first started seeing him in 2016 and was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder. Dr. Patel was able to get me through treatment and was able to get my thyroid numbers in check for a safe and healthy pregnancy!! He explains each medication when and how to take it and takes the time to answer all of my questions. Throughout my pregnancy he would also talk to me about healthy nutrition.
