Fantastic experience: My son and daughter have only been attending Vision Martial Arts of Apex for a few months now, but have absolutely loved the experience!! Mr. Dumayas and Ms. Steele, along with the rest of the instructors and staff, have been incredibly helpful and encouraging. When my children first started their respective classes, they experienced some big emotions due to their shyness. All of the instructors patiently and kindly approached them on an individual level, ultimately helping them overcome their struggles. Vision Martial Arts is beginning to feel like family away from home and we are excited to see our children flourish and develop in this amazing environment!

The staff are excellent and there are always tons of opportunities to do extra things beyond normal classes.

Fantastic experience: My children and I have been training at the Apex location for the last 5 years. Over the years the instructors and the curriculum has helped inculcate life skills and ethics that has helped both my children handle different situations with the best outcome possible. We also value the friendship and support we have developed through the martial arts trainings, competitions and tournaments. We do appreciate the support from the Instructors Mr. Blomgren, Mr. Dumayas and Master Haas for their valuable feedback and corrections during the training. We also appreciate the open door policy that Ms. Steele maintains as Program director. We would for sure recommend this place for anyone looking for well rounded training for your children.

Fantastic experience: Since my 4 year old son has joined vision his whole demeanor has changed for the better. He a better listener, he's more confident in him self and because he's so focused in class that had come out in other areas of his life as well. I would recommend anyone looking for great instructors who work with you on an individual level and get to know you and your family's vision to go to vision martial arts. It has changed our son for the better.

Fantastic experience: This place has been very good to me with jiu jitsu and i don’t think i could find a better place to train at than this one. Only a white belt now but will definitely be here for years to come.

Negative experience: Had a bad experience here and my kid was not all trained by master and not paying attention to correct or help improve the moves. I stopped after trial period.

Negative experience: While all instructors are great human beings and champions in their respective Taek Wan do categories, due to increased population, the place sometimes going overloaded with students and more instructors needs to be there to manage >40 students at days. Not all students being monitored or taught with personal touch or even explained what they are doing wrong except during the stripe test or belt test (which is too late to react). It is becoming individual capability and commitment of students to pass the exams.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love Vision Martial Arts. The instructors are wonderful and provide a very safe and supportive environment for the students.

Fantastic experience: The staff is very helpful and professional. Ms Steele who does most of the coordination is also very responsive. Mr Blomgren and Mr Dumayas are very professional is coaching. I like their holiday classes in which students get chance to try out different weapons. Biggest gain is that my kid has learnt self defense skills from these classes.

Fantastic experience: I can’t praise this place enough. They are all world class people with all championship knowledge and experience. Their instruction is always patient and yet direct. They also empathize having fun while taking the sport seriously, making good decisions and being respectful to all people. They are always encouraging, never demeaning and want to see their students succeed. My daughter can’t get enough of this place. And I appreciate the community I’m making.

Fantastic experience: When my children first started coming I was very impressed with the onboarding process... from the initial interview to the 6 week trial (very reasonable price including the uniform). After the first 3 week my child was hooked. The instructors not only teach the martial arts forms and basics, but teaching basic self defense for real situations. Helping to identify good and bad strangers as well! My son then started the weapons and leadership program and haven't looked back...actually I am now taking classes with him and is a great bonding opportunity for me with my son. Would recommend Vision Martial Arts Apex to anybody who asks.

My child has been a valued member of the ATA family for quite some time and has been training at Apex School in Vision Martial Arts for over two years. Negative experience: My wife became disabled and was told the would cancel our contract. Four months later, they continue to bill 400/month, going on 4 months now. This is despite multiple calls and emails. Seems money is more important than moral character?

Positive experience: The three instructors are excellent however the institute has become extremely crowded for its size now so I’m Between 3-4 stars. Some classes are 40+ students; graduation is 50+ which is a lot for their current size. It can be overwhelming for students and parents. A child sometimes never gets a turn to break a board ; classes are always 10-15 mins over. Also if you have a contract you can’t get out of it so make sure it’s something that your child wants to do.

Fantastic experience: Vision Martial Arts at Apex does a fine job of training my kids for physical endurance as well as character building. Yes, I've seen my children blossom into confident individuals. But more importantly, they've learnt discipline and humility - something that will help them deal with the difficulties life will undoubtedly throw at them. The instructors are patient, kind and gentle even when guiding them on areas where more improvement needs to be made. I've seen my kids become more motivated and obedient. They are more teachable and the house stays clean much longer with their help! What VMA has done for my kids has flowed into other areas of their lives. Academically, one of my children has excelled and gone on to the gifted program. My other child has gone on to take up gymnastics and musically explore how to play the keyboard. They are motivating themselves to succeed and it all started here at VMA Apex. Thank you to all the wonderful people at VMA Apex! It takes a village to raise a child and we are grateful to VMA Apex for creating that safe and friendly environment.

Fantastic experience: My son joined Vision Apex 4 years ago, and the quality of the curriculum and genuine care for the students is top notch. My son has special needs, and this program helped improve his self confidence, self discipline and motor coordination. The teachers meet the students where they are and help them meet their goals. Highly recommend! PS I enjoyed watching so much that I started the program too. My son and I both became Black Belts in December 2020!

During these years he gained tremendous amount of confidence, leadership, and true-life skills through the well-structured programs at Vision. By training with very passionate and dedicated Chief Instructor Ms. Austin, he was inspired to achieve 100s of medals in several competitions and state champion honor. Along with multiple group sessions, carving out multiple 1-1 session throughout the week with each student during this pandemic, reflects Vision’s true commitment towards its students! Fantastic experience: We started at Vision Martial Arts in March 2020. Every team sport had been cancelled, well everything had been canceled! I saw a Facebook post about a free online trial. I asked my son if he would like to try it and that sparked his own vision. After a couple weeks in, We eagerly joined the Apex team and have not looked back! After only 9 months you can see the drive, the confidence and the pride that my son has developed. It is worth every penny to me! I can’t end without mentioning how above and beyond the entire VMA staff has been! Ms. Austin and Mr. Blomgren have expertly guided me through any questions, any options and have even helped me with online shopping! It certainly has been an incredible find!! We love being part of the VMA FAMILY!

Fantastic experience: We have been attending VMA for several years and we love it! Our oldest son has grown in confidence and he is continuously learning discipline and applying it to his daily life. Our other son started a couple of years ago, he was very eager to get in with his brother, he is developing an amazing strength and coordination. Ms Austin and Mr Blomgren are the best instructors! Fantastic experience: My son has gone here for 4.5years. Ms Austin and the rest of the staff have been amazing with him. He is a 1st degree Black Belt recommended and will hopefully test for his Black Belt in April. They have taught him respect for himself and others, how to be a leader and confidence. I would highly recommend Vision Martial Arts to anyone and have done so when people ask where our son learned his manners.

Negative experience: Don’t go here. They keep on charging you money every month. And it’s a lot of money. One of the teachers even kicked other kids.

Fantastic experience: I have enrolled my children, both elementary school age, at Vision Martial Arts in Apex. Ms. Austin is an outstanding teacher and role model for all ages. The children are happy and are applying life lessons learned at Vision Martial Arts outside of the studio. Parents frequently attend sessions as well and are actively engaged in their childrens' learning. Master Wegman is amazing with the kids and motivates them to do their best. I highly recommend this studio!

Negative experience: The worst ever... They keep billing me after the contract end and after I called and cancelled. This happened 2 months in a row and is still not resolved. This is totally unacceptable as are their high pressure sales tactics. Everything and I mean everything costs money and this is not the norm in the martial art community. Even worse, they hand out belts like nobody's business which is all part of the sales plan. Legal action is next for this business.
