Fantastic experience: Daniel in the lab is magical and everytime I go and get blood drawn he is always so kind and so efficient and never (using loosely bc never say never) bruises me. Recommend!
Negative experience: You will pay them until your wallet dries out so watch out. I would not recommend SSM. They added stuff I did not even do.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this place since i was literally born, Dr.Gindlesberger have been my doctor since i was born too! My brothers have been going here as well. I know that place like the back of my hand and everyone there is super friendly and nice, and everyone is always on the same page and they actually care about what your needs are and work to get those needs for you. I love this place
Negative experience: The billing office here is terrible. They submitted a claim under the wrong patient and would not fix it. A manager was supposed to call me. I gave them 5 business days to call and they never called me.

Negative experience: It is hit or miss if you are trying to pay your bill. Customer service in billing SUCKS! The billing department works from home and they answer the phone when they feel like it, or you can tell these employees are not home when they answer so they put you on hold or they tell you they have to connect you to someone else and no one answers the call. SSM people are trying to pay there bills in a timely manner but you have mediocre employees in the billing department!

Fantastic experience: Excellent health care provided by the Sun Prairie Internal Medicine Department. The Internists are quite knowledgeable, attentively listen to my concerns and respond in a compassionate and thoughtful manner. The medical assistants make a concerted effort to make sure I have all my prescribed medication available. They have always been courteous and quite efficient in their interactions with me even on the most busy clinic days. The reception staff are courteous snd respectful of my privacy

Negative experience: This has been my experience, the past few years, with SSM Health: I asked my doctor if my new prescription of antibiotics would cause a yeast infection. His reply "Everything causes yeast infections. Don't worry about it." (I got a new doctor). I was taken by ambulance to St. Mary's ER for food poisoning when I passed out and hit my head. The very first employee I encountered asked for my name, date of birth, and said "I see you have a copay. How do you want to pay for it?" The ER doctor did no hands on, and lied in his after visit notes about his exam and what was said. I went to my annual physical and told the doctor that I had alot of hip pain. I was prescribed a muscle relaxer, which made me dizzy and put me to sleep. The doctor couldn't have known, that of course, and when I mentioned that I couldn't function on it, he said "we'll monitor the hip pain." (monitor what? How much pain I can stand?!) I have a history of diverticulitis, but can't get in to see the gastroenterologist for 3 months. When I had a bout, the SSM Health scheduler encouraged me to use the video doc. The video doc refused to prescribe any antibiotics or pain killers and said "just keep doing what you're doing." So, I spent the next two days in a fetal position and taking so many aspirins that my ears were ringing. When did doctors stop caring about their patients' pain?

Fantastic experience: Thursday, June 27. I just left the offices at 10 Tower Dr. I NEVER stop on the side of the road to give a review. After spending the most enjoyable time with the 2 women in the optical/glasses dispensary (I am remiss their names escape me), I went upstairs and spoke with the receptionist and Mary to order my contacts. Being new to the area and SSM, these 4 made me feel at home, at ease, valued, and took the time to make sure my visit was productive and comfortable. They are not only spectacular team members, they are stellar people. Thank you!
Negative experience: The doctor didn’t read my chart and skipped one of my important tests. They’d add additional expenses to your bills so watch out. Go to UW if you can!!!

Fantastic experience: Originally I felt completely defeated. Complaint after complaint of the symptoms of my illness. And still turned away. Then I met Dr. Holly Anderson... she ran tests and what do you know.... She figured it out. All the other Dr.s would have to do is order more bloodwork. The signs were completely obvious. I think she is the most kind caring woman who loves her job and loves helping people. And you Holly Anderson, if you ever read this , You need to be adorned by saint hood. You are an extra special kind of person. Thank you
Fantastic experience: I've been going the sun prairie SSM for 3 months and never ever had a problem with staff or anyone, I'm very pleased about going to see my doctor, thank you for having me when no other doctor would see me
Negative experience: This was my first time going to this clinic. Went in for a simple physical, as I do every year. The physical should be, and always has been covered by my insurance for free, but this was not the case at this clinic because the doctor added a number of extraneous and unnecessary codes to my visit causing it to no longer be considered "preventative" by my insurance and resulting in me having to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket. The physical was completely normal, no unusual conversations, diagnoses, procedures, or tests. I contacted billing and they refused to conduct a code review or transfer me to someone willing to help me. In general everyone was absolutely rude to me including yelling and hanging up the phone, the exception is the receptionist at the main number, she is very kind. A facility like this does not see patients as people, it sees them as dollar signs. Any doctor practicing these kinds of exploitive methods should be ashamed. This is a perfect example of healthcare for profit, rather than to help and cure. I wouldn't trust my health or my life somewhere that just wants to get rich off of our poor health. I highly recommend seeking insurance that covers UW hospitals and clinics, I have only had the most wonderful and fair treatment with them. Edit: I responded to SSM's response below via email. Same behavior as before, refused to listen or understand the problem, just responded with copy paste boilerplate. Don't believe that they care just because they are pretending to offer to fix the problems that people have reported here, it's all fake to try to save face. Didn't think it was possible for their behavior to be even more immoral, they proved me wrong though.

Fantastic experience: Holly Anderson is the kindest most attentive doctor I’ve ever had. She’s knowledgeable and helps immensely with all my issues.
Negative experience: I really only hear bad things about this place at this point. To add to that, I've really only had bad experiences here, and if insurance permitted, I'd go elsewhere. Hire new phone staff. I should not have to miss work, because one of your phone staff told me my appointment was the next day, only for me to come in and be told they scheduled it an entire month out. Why in God's name would I put an appointment for a respiratory infection a month out? And phone staff should not be short tempered and rude, hanging up on patients and getting an attitude with people who are probably already dealing with enough. You are supposed to be professional enough to handle yourself over the phone. You guys also hooked my friend onto narcotics, along with many others, and look the other way like he wasn't a 12 year old at the time you prescribed him those meds. Absolutely disgusting business practices, high levels of incompetence, and overall lack of service. If you have the option, seek Healthcare elsewhere. This place will waste your time and money. I will give credit to the doctors and nurses here who are good at what they do, and for their sake, I hope they find a better clinic to work for.

Negative experience: Just got the bill from my appointment. Please justify charging $10 a minute for an appointment. I honestly cannot think of anything that I would willingly pay $10 a minute to do. And don't bother with the response of please contact our complaints department. Obviously they are overwhelmed with statements like mine. Justify that amount HERE. Tell me on this page why you charge $10 a minute. Your response isn't good enough. I can contact them, but I want you to justify the cost here in an open setting. The actual amount I paid a minute was over $12. You tell me and everyone else who sees this what constitutes a $12 a minute appointment. And if I really break it down the person who saw me spent probably 10 minutes in the room with me - if even. Please explain the cost. That's all I ask. No response here or from the email I sent as requested in your canned response to me. Pretty much what I expected. You can't explain it either. Price gouging sounds like a good response to me. I have had no response from any resource provided in your canned response to my concern. Apparently, SSM Health does not strive for quality health care nor does the company show any care for concerns of patients. Thank you very much for not answering my concern or question. When I find a job that pays me $720 an hour, I'll pay your bill. My advice to others - beware before you see a doctor with SSM. Go somewhere else if you can. And if you can't, pray to all the gods above that you never become seriously ill. You'll be broke after the first visit.

Fantastic experience: Great doctors and staff always make it as comfortable of an experience as possible I have seen alot of doctors and I will say doctor kleppe and his staff are amazing truly some of the best of the best at what they do thank for your service.

Positive experience: Dr. Kass and Dr. Lane are great. I have been going to this clinic for 45 years now. I did tell one receptionist that if she wants to be rude then she should not be in customer service. I see lots of negative comments. I hope they will make some changes.

Negative experience: Was hoping it would be better than GHC. Appt was rushed, PCP forgot half of what I was there for and caused me pain. Will be finding another in network PCP.

Negative experience: My appointment was abruptly canceled today. When I tried to reschedule they literally laughed at me and hung up. I have waited months for this appointment. I specifically asked for a time after 4, since I am a teacher, and for an in person appointment as the issue needs to be seen close up an examined. I am frustrated by the lack of empathy, understanding, follow through and the constant run around. I am even still waiting for an MRI that was requested almost a year ago.

Negative experience: Wait times to schedule appointments 30 minutes or longer. Update 9/29: On hold for 45 minutes, someone answered and was told to call back again. On hold another 30 minutes, someone answered and then hung up on me. Been on the phone for two hours just trying to make an appointment.

Negative experience: I went to this ER clinic to recieve an evaluation as I tested positive for covid 3 days ago. This morning I was having trouble breathing but it improved after several minutes of loosening my cough. I was still very concerned and wanted to be seen so they could listen for pneumonia. I was told by Dr. Heather Tiller that having trouble breathing is normal. !! She said she wasnt concerned about it because "she hasnt put anyone on a ventilator since January". She then told me that I probably didnt have pneumonia because my temperature wasnt that high (despite having tylenol and advil on board and a few hours later having a fever of 104). I have read and reviewed the patient rights according to St. Marys Hospital, perhaps this doctor along with nurse Len should review them as well.

Negative experience: I had an optometrist appointment. I walked in and didn't get greeted nicely like the other white patients here. The older white lady's working the optometrist booth must not like brown people.

Negative experience: Absolute nightmare. The medical assistant? who answers the phone cannot speak in any volume other than a shout. She shouted on the phone at me then in in exaggerated slowness gave directions. When I arrived she couldn't stop shouting. "This is a Wellness clinic" Nope. She seems to think that anyone over 60 is deaf. She was coarse and vulgar. The nurse practitioner defended her saying she was "caring". The whole visit was like an assault. Meant to be a pre-employment visit, they had prurient interest in my chart. They should not have access to that. Really unprofessional and godawful. I don't like filling out PAPER forms as they can fall into anyone's hands. Just godawful place

Negative experience: Please don't go here. Especially if you have children. I have been blown off during my pregnancy, childbirth(which resulted in my child having a brain bleed), and in my own health and my child's. I had an issue with insurance and have called so many times while only one employee has offered to help while the rest have again, blown me off. I have never been so disappointed in the medical system.

Negative experience: I recently came to the Sun Prairie location and what should have been a 30-50 min appointment, I was there for 2 hours. It was disappointing to have waited and been patient to ultimately being the individual who was dealt with the shortest end of the stick of the day. I showed up on time for check-in, waited 20 min after my appointment time and asked staff about my appointment, and once I was taken to my appointment room, I waited multiple times for the nurse/doctor. Although there apologies, I was there for a total of two hours. At the end of the day, my time was neglected. I did not come in with any expectations but I walked out feeling extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with the service and wait time.

Negative experience: I have been working with Dean clinic Sun Prairie regarding my parents for the last year. Frequently I’ve called and reported changes to the so-called triage nurse only to call back two days later stating there’s no documentation I called, which is unacceptable. We have been working with Dr. Punke over the last eight months and she has been excellent in person and over the phone. Trying to reach her though through the nurses is nearly impossible and unacceptable. Given my experience thus far I would not recommend this clinic to anyone
Negative experience: I brought my mom here because she needed some stitches for her lip. We arrived at 9:45 p.m. and there was one other car in the parking lot. She needed four stitches total and as of this writing I've been here for 2.5hrs+. I would not recommend this er.
Negative experience: Receptionist on the lower level is the rudest person I have encountered in a hospital or clinical setting. I witnessed her being rude to another patient on a previous visit and today treated me very disrespectfully.
Negative experience: I have been seeing Dr Stewart Stitgen for almost 1 year for what was diagnosed by him as severe arthritis in both my knees. There is no doubt that this diagnosis is incorrect, I am in severe pain most of the day and night. I have been treated 3 times with injections into my knees, the first 2 worked but this last one did not. New to the pain I have been experiencing is muscle pain throughout my legs and feet. Earlier this week I emailed Dr Stitgen to explain all this to him. He replied back to me, telling me to take more Ibuprofen & Tylenol. He went on to say I will not prescribe muscle relaxers or narcotics. In the entire time I have been seeing Dr Stitgen, not once did I ask for any drugs including this time. The GAUL of him to think I was reporting my condition to him to get narcotics. For me now it is back to square one, to find a Doctor who can actually help with my SEVERE ARTHRITIS.

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Luskin for allergy/autoimmune. He went over my health history, families my symptoms and took the time to listen. I work in the healthcare field and I felt he was understanding, a good listener and specific on what the plan was. I as a patent and Healthcare worker would refer him.
Fantastic experience: Dr gindlesberger is by far the best gyno and family dr I have ever had I recently got the birth control implant in my arm and she told me that it wold benefit my cramps and all but wow I never had such amazing and effective results in that aspect of it sorry guys but it's totally the truth and it's a huge part of why us women are so cranky that time of month if you have had a horrible experience in trying to find a gyno or the right family dr totally try dr g she is the best of the best
