Negative experience: I waited more than a month for my first appointment. The advice I received was not only horrible advice, but it was also not what I needed at the time. However, I trusted the advice so I gave it a try for a little over 6 weeks. Until I felt so horrible I had to stop. Highly recommend doing your own research. I found better advice from medical experts on YouTube. Since switching over to doing my own research, I’m feeling 1000x better.

Negative experience: Not worth the time or cost. Took a couple hours to complete all the forms and questionnaires related to billing/insurance, which were required to book an appointment, then I got an email that I had to research insurance billing codes, physician diagnosis codes and put them on yet another form with lots more information. Basically, they put all the work of figuring out insurance on you and its unnecessary and takes a LONG time. Advice that I got in my first appointment was VERY basic advice and not helpful. I got just a few recommendations of foods and menus that were not good. For example, they recommended some granola bars that were high sugar and definitely NOT what I need for better nutrition. The website says a first appointment includes a scientific test to understand your nutrition needs, but there was no test or anything similar. Just more questionnaires to discuss. I needed to move an appointment, but they refused because it was within 48 hours. I didn't even want to go back here because of all the other issues, but thought I'd give them the benefit of doubt and try again. But nope, they couldn't even move my appointment and charged me the full cost to cancel, so I'm done wasting any more time with this place!

Fantastic experience: Just had my first session with Jess Lechman and I’m so excited for my next one. She made me feel so comfortable, not judged and was a great listener. I have been so stressed about all my new diet restrictions, but I walked out of there feeling lighter and excited to get my health back on track. Thank you, Jess!

Fantastic experience: I worked with Alexandra and she was extremely helpful and insightful hence the five stars. She is personable and gives plenty of tips on sustaining a healthy lifestyle. I had some issues with insurance after and some general pricing discrepancies that went along with it. After working with Ms. Lanzano and Kathy in billing they were very pleasant and easy to work with. I'm glad we were able to sort this all out and move forward. For anyone seeking the assistance of a nutritionist I would highly recommend EN, but make sure to clear it with insurance first to avoid the situation I was in.

As an eating disorder therapist I am cautious with the referrals that I give out to my clients and I feel confident referring them to Emma! I highly recommend Emma to those looking for support with disordered eating. She is knowledgable, caring, empathetic and it is evident through her work that she deeply cares about the quality of care she provides to her clients.

Fantastic experience: I have been working on and off with Lisa for the last 7 years. I first came to her when I needed help to stop dieting and just learn how to trust my body near food. What I love about her is that she knows the emotional component to food but she also understand the scientific and nutritional side as well. She helped me learn how to be able to eat all foods with peace of mind and peace in my body. Then, again through pregnancy she helped me trust my body more with all the cravings I had. Now I see her whenever I feel I need some extra support around my relationship with food! Most of all she helped me learn how to be healthy in the most sustainable way! I would trust her or any of the other people that work for her. She has built an incredible practice!

Positive experience: The team at Essential Nutrition were very helpful during the initial stages to get my wife, me and our insurance set up so we could start our journey to healthier eating habits. The only thing that was a little wonky was using the patient portal to provide the information before our first visit. It could have easily been me, but I felt like I didn't get enough direction and/or instruction on how to use the format an what was expected before I showed up at the first session. Alex has been extremely helpful in directing me and my wife into better eating habits and has held us accountable for the poor food choices we make. My wife and I have only been to three sessions, but we have made some progress, and are looking forward to much more as we continue our treatments. We were told from the beginning, that the process of making a life style change, as large as changing your eating habits, is a long term change and there is not a quick fix. I would only recommend this team if you are ready to listen, learn and apply the information you receive. The individual has to be ready to make the change, but the team at Essential Nutrition will be there to help you make it if you are ready and willing.

Fantastic experience: Lisa helped me learn how to eat after I was diagnosed as gluten, grain and dairy intolerant. There weren't a lot of resources then (or foods to substitute with) but Lisa made it easy for me. She provided recipes, alternative foods and helped me with my mindset about "losing" so many foods from my diet. If it weren't for Lisa I wouldn't have known what to eat beyond a handful of foods. And now I'm healthier than ever and know exactly what to eat!

Fantastic experience: Kathy taken the time to get to know me, and what would and would not work for me. She gave me two paths forward and the one we chose together I feel is truly working and I can sustain it. Kathy is also very knowledgable and easy to work with. Essential is easy to work with, has an easy to use portal and most important matched the right nutritionist who is an expert for my situation.

She does a great job dispelling all the nonsense and nutrition mumbo jumbo. She created a very practical and usable meal plan for our family.

Lisa is an incredible clinician— she is compassionate, caring and extremely knowledgeable. She knows exactly how to deal with someone who is struggling to find healthy living; she is both supportive and understanding but also tough when you need to hear some hard truths. I also worked with Ashley, who helped me to overcome a lot of my fears associated with certain types of food and nutrition. I no longer live in Boudler, but I think about those women often. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Lisa Lanzano, especially if you are seeking help with an eating disorder. I am a psychologist in Boulder specializing in eating disorders and in 22 years have not found anyone that I feel more confidence when I need to refer to a dietician who has expertise in eating disorders.
