I also had a double mactomy and tummy tuck and full reconstruction nine months ago and have had continued pain. Fantastic experience: I been suffering from Edema for about the past year. I gained 70lbs in fluid weight and was swollen from my feet all the way to my stomach and face. I wasn’t getting any relief from the doctors. The pain was out of control so I decided to try the lymphatic drainage massage. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical but I was desperate and willing to try anything. When she began with a light stroke I thought there is no way this is doing anything I barely even feel it. She was very informative and was sharing with me things to expect. She told me to drink a lot of water because I was going to be dehydrated. Shortly after I began to get a headache and she brought me some water to start drinking and told me I was already dehydrated. I still didn’t think much of it as she finished working on me and then I went to the house. A few hours after I got home I felt exhausted and started to feel sick like I had the flue. I started throwing up , head was killing me , and I was urinating constantly. My body had started ridding the toxins out of my system. She called to check on me and after getting the details told me in 25yrs she’s only had a handful of people react to that level. I have now completed my 3rd massage from her and each time has gotten easier. I could deal with the sickness just knowing that I finally had found something that was working. In just 3 treatments my pain has reduced by about 80% and the swelling is residing. I feel alive again and I owe so much of it to her. Fantastic experience: An important detail lost on me during pre op appointments for a lower body lift, flank lipo and gluteal fat transfer (bbl), was how pivotal it was to begin lymphatic drainage as soon as I was ambulatory. I didn’t understand that there are very few therapists specializing in this process, in our area. I really love supporting a small, woman-owned business whenever I can, and this was exactly that. I first discovered lymphatic drainage massage via Instagram, believe it or not, and thought I'd give it a try to help clear out any toxins I have in my body. I'm almost 30 and am very healthy - exercise regularly, eat clean, healthy foods, and stay hydrated (at least half my body weight in ounces of water per day). I wasn't sure what to expect, but Rochelle did a great job guiding me through the process and I was comfortable throughout my entire experience! This was not a painful experience at all - I truly enjoyed it much more than a deep tissue massage because it was all light touches, which were very rhythmic and healing.
