Fantastic experience: No more aching hips or neck from sitting working at a laptop all day! I tried 1-mile cardio-walks at a local park 2 to 3x/week, but still wasn't getting relief from daily stiffness & bouts of sciatica. Dr. Doug & Dr. Fred are incredibly skilled at what they do, includingCarrie Ann's skillful scans of my spine to track my improvements! More astonishing is that I just noticed (as I typed this) that the ganglion cyst on the left side of my wrist has flattened with almost complete disappearance of chronic swelling and no more ache! Bonus for the ladies: Get Your Swerve Back! -- lower back/hip adjustments continue helping my hips "remember" to return to their natural sway after 36 years of (unknowingly) walking with hip rigidity from 12-hour workdays sitting in a chair, before those "lift-desks" were invented. Fantastic experience: Swede Family Chiropractic has been amazing for my back problems. The people are nice and they really want to help you here. Here is the short version of my story. I work at Pepsi lifting soda all day. After an injury and physical therapy to recover, I thought I was back to the daily grind. When the pain started to come back I knew I had to do something on a more regular basis. I also needed something that could reset me quickly, and I knew that wasnt going to be physical therapy. I decided to try Swede Family Chiropractic and after each adjustment I was ready to tackle work every week. It has been exactly what I needed to keep me working and feeling better.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Doug is a godsend! My 8 week old has horrible reflux and colic. He would have 40 minute screaming episodes where he was inconsolable, rigid and tense in his stomach. We did the whole 9 yards and Pepcid helped a bit, but Dr. Doug’s work brought my son some comfort within a few sessions. I can’t recommend Dr. Doug enough. He is knowledgeable, professional, kind and, most importantly, effective!

Fantastic experience: I came in for lower back pain and Doug has done an incredible job in alleviating the pain. Very knowledgeable and couldn't recommend a better chiropractor. Alleviating back pain was the main goal, however the ancillary positives have been off the chart. Improvement in running, golf and strength performance.

I had frozen shoulders for a while and had gone through physical therapy for two months and see very little improvement in shoulder mobility. Fantastic experience: Started seeing Dr. Doug for severe low back pain in which I could barely sit up from a lying down position. I also see him for the Webster technique as I am pregnant. After about 5-6 weeks of treatment I noticed my pain is gone and movement throughout my last weeks of pregnancy has been so much better! Negative experience: Staff did not wear masks during COVID even when it was required by law during the summer of 2020. They were seeing many patients in and out of the office, putting all of their patients at risk. We continually worked on the same side instead of switching back and forth between sides so I actually began to feel uneven and out of balance.

Fantastic experience: I found Swede Family Chiropractic after a lifting injury that left me with a herniated disc in my lower back leaving me hardly able to walk. As a regular Crossfit athlete, this was devastating. When I came in for my first visit, Doug performed a series of tests on me that I've never had done by any other chiropractor. I found out that not only was my injury causing me pain but my entire spine was out of alignment and my body was working 4 times as hard to simply live day to day. Doug worked with me on payment and began seeing me 3 times a week- sometimes squeezing me in twice a day just to help control my pain. Within 2 weeks, I was back in the gym doing light work and within a few months, I was hitting PR's again! Not only have I continued with Doug for maintenance, but he even works on my sinuses when I am suffering from a cold or allergies. It's amazing how much Doug knows about the human body and how much he truly cares about his patients. From scheduling with Kerri Ann to treatment with Doug, I would highly recommend his office to anyone.

Rather than going the route of tubes we started adjustments 2x week. 6 months (and 2 colds) later, not a single ear infection since and scaled back to once per week. Fantastic experience: I met Dr Doug through family friends as I was going through a severe shoulder injury from shoveling snow. I was seeing an orthopedic doctor but was finding no relief due to being originally misdiagnosed. I had never been to a chiropractor before so I was a little skeptical but I was willing to try anything due to my pain. Dr Doug sent me for an MRI and it turned out I had cervical radiculopathy (severely pinched nerve causing pain and numbness in arm). He was straight with me that it could be fixed without surgery but could take a few months. I decided to invest the time because the other options were scary and could lead to other issues down the road, but they could still be a possibility if chiropractic care didn’t work. After five weeks of thrice weekly adjustments and traction, I’m completely off my every four hour dosage of 800mg ibuprofen, which I was taking for weeks prior to starting treatments with Dr Doug due to the misdiagnoses. Now having been through this, I would recommend chiropractic care to anyone with chronic pain, and I’d highly recommend Dr Doug and his team because they’ll be honest about your treatment and all other options.

Fantastic experience: I have always been a believer in chiropractic but after having a bad experience at the last office I was going to, I was hesitant to find a new place to go after leaving the practice. I did not have chiropractic care for a few years. I started going to Swede Family Chiropractic 20 weeks into my first pregnancy. I was having some back pain due to my changing body and I knew that chiropractic was a safe and effective option for relief. I also wanted to make sure my baby was in the right position for delivery. I found Dr. Swede through my husband and mom. They were already getting care from this practice so I knew it was a good place to go. I went in for a consultation and immediately hit it off with Dr. Doug, Dr. Fred and Carrie Ann. The doctors are trained and experienced in the Webster technique for pregnancy. It definitely helped me feel better to get adjusted each week while pregnant. I will also attribute my smooth labor and delivery experience partially to the chiropractic care that I received. I was able to have the delivery I wanted without complications. I highly recommend you going throughout your pregnancy. It helps you and baby work as a team through development and delivery. Dr. Doug and Dr. Fred continue to adjust my family and I. I getting adjusted has helped me in my recovery. My husband and I need it more than ever now that we have a baby to carry. Our bodies and backs have more stress from carrying our growing baby around, leaning over to play, and the list goes on. Our baby also gets adjusted on a weekly basis. I notice a difference in his body too. It helps to regulate him and sleep better. Fantastic experience: After being in pain everyday as a 27 year old active female, I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. I was referred to Dr. Doug by family, and I currently visit 1-2 times a week with great results after only a few months. Fantastic experience: My father is a chiropractor, and I have been getting adjustments since I was 6 weeks old. My wife and I moved down to Pennsylvania about 4 years ago, my dad's practice is up in Massachusetts, and I started to notice that the lack of his regular adjustments was taking a toll on me. Lucky for me, Swede Chiropractic was right next door to my (then) place of employment. I stopped in one day for treatment of a back issue that was causing breathing problems. After that treatment with Dr. Margaret, the problem was fixed nearly immediately. I went back at a later date and was seen by Dr. Doug for REALLY bad back pain. After the first visit, the pain was at tolerable levels, and after the second, it was gone. I later saw Dr. David for chronic severe stress headaches I had been dealing with. I went in worried that it was perhaps some kind of neurological issue. But Dr. David was able to, in just a few seconds of examining my neck and back, determine the cause of the headaches. After my adjustments, the headaches went away immediately and permanently. All three of these doctors know what they're doing, and they do it really well! Again, as someone who has been getting adjustments for literally his entire life, I'm telling you, if you need a chiropractor, to Swede Family Chiropractic. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I had been going to Dr. Andy Harris before he moved his practice to Florida so he recommended going to Dr. Doug Swede. It took a while for me to trust Dr. Andy that I was almost afraid to try another chiropractor but soooo very thankful I did. Dr. Swede has been great. He was able to help stop my sinus headaches, as well as relieving pain I had in my neck and shoulder area. Even when I get a cold, he is able to help open up my sinus and adjust my neck in such away that my ears open up! I do feel healthier having chiropractic care on a weekly basis. I was always uneasy when it came to Chiropractics, but from the second I walked in the door I instantly felt relaxed and at ease. You are always greated by a warm smile from a lovely secretary and both Dr. Doug and Dr. Kyle perform to the highest level of professionalism. I was recently injured during a lifting competition, the pain was so bad it started interfering with my job and everyday life, within weeks working with the Dr's at Swede I was back in action and I cant thank them enough. Fantastic experience: I have been living with chronic back pain for 18 years. In July of 2010 I injured my back lifting and twisting with bags of stone. I went to the doctor, and they gave me a prescription for pain medicine. Well after about 4 months of living with this new pain in my mid to upper back my dog trainer gave me a gift certificate to Swede Family Chiropractic. I have always been skeptical about Chiropractors. But this pain was way to much for me to just continue living with, so I gave it a shot. Well after just a few adjustments I could really feel the difference in the middle of my back and I can tell that I am getting better.
