Fantastic experience: Interesting to see that all bad reviews are coming from people who never started under his care. Please Californians stop doing that, it’s getting old. Personally, I had seen great improvements in my health with Dr. Ilya and I brought to his clinic my whole family to get his help. My mother has had depression for many years and my father suffered from Diabetes. My 4 sisters all suffered with Thyroid Disease with obesity. I have also experienced hypothyroidism. I was experiencing depression for quite some time and at different times in my life have needed to take Seroquel, Lexapro, Zyprexa and also Clonazepam. I kid you not. I was not able to sleep well at night without Clonazepam. Since I first started to have my periods I always had PMS. I thought that PMS was normal because most of my friends and family also experience PMS. When I met Dr. Ilya he explained to me that the PMS is not normal. On top of that, I also experienced a great deal of numbness on 4 of my fingers of my left hand when I was driving and it really freaked me out. I went to several doctors and they explained to me that I suffered from "neuropathic pain." In fact, one doctor was even trying to convince me that I should get a surgery to help with the pain. Obviously, the numbness was really severe. I I tried SEVERAL different pain medications but most of them did not help at all. Lyrica helped a little bit, but I couldn't tolerate its side effects. Dr. Ilya explained to me that some of the other medications were actually damaging my liver and my brain and interfering with my ability to think clearly. I never really knew that before he explained it to me. At one point I was even having trouble with my weight. Dr. Ilya explained that it was highly likely that some of the medications that I had been using as well as some of the skin care products I enjoy had likely caused me to gain weight because they were so toxic. Dr. Ilya is the most amazing listener and patient doctor that you will ever meet. I cannot say enough good things about him. He does absolutely everything necessary to find out what is the key to solving your health puzzle. I can honestly tell you that ALL of my symptoms and reasons for getting health in the first place were gone within just 2 and 1/2 months. I no longer need medications for anything ever. My energy is great throughout the day. I sleep well throughout the night. Most of the time I do not even need any herbs, homeopathy or nutritional supplements. It has been a tremendous healing journey. I now have a healthy weight. I am thrilled about my new life and my new sense of freedom and emotional stability. Fantastic experience: My healing processes with Dr. Ilyia has been both one of the most challenging things I have had to do and yet one of most rewarding experiences. For years I had suffered facial pain due to Bell’s Palsy and from horrible migraines that would last all day long. The headaches were so intense that they would wake me up in the middle of the night. I had to drink 2-4 Advil a day just be able to tolerate them. I was hospitalized from an ulcer caused by drinking so much Advil.  I have been over weight since I was 10 years old and had been drinking High Blood pressure medication since I was 25 yrs old. For years I had been so weak that just walking felt unbearable. No mater how much I slept or how much I rested I always felt tired and weak.  It was hard to concentrate, to think, I always felt dizzy and was always in pain. Work seemed unbearable and I even crashed twice because I felt so sick.  I had to reduce my work days to only two days a week.  I was afraid to work and even became afraid to drive. I lost count of how many times I went to the urgent care and saw different doctors but no one would ever give me an answer or a solution. All that doctors would do to help me was to prescribe more and more medication. Since I was a teenager I suffered from anxiety and from self harm. Since then it has been very hard to live a normal life. To make things worse I was recently diagnosed with Gall bladder stones and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis I had a consultation with Dr. Ilya. To be honest that day I had reached my breaking point. I felt so sick that I felt that I would faint right there and then. I was in so much pain I couldn’t think any more. I literally went in to the consultation crying. I had lost all hope in doctors. The consultation with Dr. Ilya was amazing.  He made a detailed time line from the time I started getting sick. He listened to me and listed every symptom I was experiencing. Other doctors would look at me like I was crazy. But Dr. Ilya was so different, nothing sounded weird or crazy to him. He understood my symptoms and everything I said was important to him. He did detailed tests and detailed observations. What I liked the most about the consultation is that he asked me what I wanted out of the treatment. No one had ever asked me that before. The truth is Dr. Ilya is a very interesting character and his treatment is very different to what many of us are used to. At first I was hesitant to get the treatment and didn’t trust it much. However, the first two weeks into the process my headaches went away and I felt many of my symptoms disappear.  Although I am not completely done with my treatment, I have to say that it has transformed my life. I don’t have headaches any more, I have lost so much weight that everyone around me sees me differently. My depression has turn into happiness. My anxiety has gone down and I feel more optimistic. Dr. Ilya doesn’t only help your body but just helps your whole system! He helps you with your emotions, with your thoughts, with your muscles, your bones and just helps your whole soul. I am so thankful that I found Dr. Ilya, my only regret is not seeing him sooner. Fantastic experience: I have been under Dr. Ilya's skillful care for over 1 year and it that time I have gone through a complete 180degree change in my perspective on Western Medical care and what is a healthy diet. I went to him seeking a healthcare provider that could treat my mental and physical health together. I am 5'4" and was 200+ lbs, had horrible swollen knee and back pain, moving towards diabetes and working to come off of my anti-depressant (15 years) and sleeping pills. I didn't know what to expect, but followed all his guidelines, which are not for the faint of heart. I am motivated by arts and healing projects I want to continue to lead and felt that I needed to be healed myself. My pain is virtually gone, I've lost close to 45 lbs, I am starting to come out of my anti-depressant withdrawls and feeling stronger everyday and my A1c has gone from 6 to 5.5. Dr. Ilya has been able to address ancestral and parental issues affecting my body and spirit, on top of the structural issues that cause me discomfort. He always goes the extra mile, makes a phone call to tell me about a book that would help me, or to check in on how I am feeling and what I can do to work through my emotional struggles. Western doctors would never provide this level of care and concern during their off hours. He takes into account and treats the whole picture, nothing happens in a vacuum, so he can treat the whole body, mind and spirit. Western Medicine is so specialized that often they can't see the forest through the trees, which can be a lopsided approach to health. Fantastic experience: I came to see Dr.Ilya recently because I wanted to have some help on some symptoms that I could not seem to shake. I had fatigue, anxiety and attention problems. I wasn't sure if I was just stressed out or if I was losing interest in my work or not sleeping deeply enough. The consequences were very stressful, I wasn't able to sleep or study or work. I had tried different ideas but they weren't consistent and so they weren't holding. I knew Dr. Ilya would be able to use muscle testing to help me at least narrow it down so I went to see him. After several minutes, he was able to determine I was fatigued because I was eating too much wheat. I knew I ate a lot of pasta and bread but I didn't know which foods I was intolerant to, He explained that I have had so much of it that my body was overwhelmed by it. He prescribed a detox supplement and I have not been eating wheat or sugar since, I have my energy back and my work stamina and creativity are up again to healthy levels. He was able to alleviate my anxiety with some other kinesiology techniques, showing me the cause and walking me through the exact solution, same with my attention span, I have been more clear and able to enjoy reading again, something I haven't been able to do in a long time. Finally, he was using chiropractic adjustments during the session and I have been adjusted several times by other doctors, Dr. Iyla was by far the best. It seems that by addressing my symptoms and finding out what other things by body was congested with, it opened me up to a deeper adjustment and more meaningful healing. Fantastic experience: I am writing to tell of my experience with Dr. Ilya Skolnikoff, a chiropractic kinesiologist. I first consulted Dr. Skolnikoff about an extremely troublesome and painful skin condition that had not responded to treatments administered by the internist and two dermatologists I had previously dealt with in an effort to gain relief. I was becoming desperate to find a cure for the severe itching of my arms and back; in spots the skin actually bled from all the scratching, and it became uncomfortable even to take a shower. (I should mention that the trigger for this outbreak was the emotional impact of the death of my husband.) I came to realize that this condition was surely caused by internal conditions that were not addressed by the topical "treatments" administered by the doctors I had previously consulted, and I decided to seek someone trained in alternative medical procedures. The problem was, I didn't know such a person. While I would not recommend the method I used to find Dr. Skolnikoff, I was fortunate to be referred to him, and I am writing this review to help others facing the problem of finding a highly qualified alternative practitioner. (In my desperation to find someone who could treat my condition, I turned to the Yellow Pages, where I reached someone who does detoxification, but only by referral, and she referred me to Dr. Skolnikoff). Once I started treatment with Dr. Skolnikoff, my condition improved rapidly. He took a detailed medical history and determined, through testing, that my liver was highly toxic, which not only accounted for the uncomfortable skin condition, but also affected my blood pressure (for which I was taking medication). Treatment began by a combination of herbal supplements and a radical change in diet; no sugar, no wheat, corn, soy, or dairy products, and eating protein at every meal as well as green, leafy vegetables. While I thought I could never do it, I did give it a try and soon felt so much better, that I was convinced it required a behavioral change that I could handle, if not all the time, at least most of the time. Under Dr. Skolnikoff's care, the skin condition began to clear and soon was gone. Unfortunately, a lifetime of eating foods that I was sensitive to, left a residue of toxicity that affected my blood pressure, cholesterol levels, digestion, and other elements that prevent one from attaining the highest level of wellness. I therefore continue seeing Dr. Skolnikoff to deal with these issues. His goal is for me to be off blood pressure medication completely; so far I have gone from taking 1 1/2 blood pressure pills when I first met Dr. Skolnikoff, to just one-quarter of a pill as I write this. I hope before long to be able to discontinue use of this medication entirely. I cannot recommend Dr. Skolnikoff too highly; he is thoroughly trained in his field, keeps abreast of new developments that can be applied to his patients, and is a very intelligent and skillful practitioner.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ilya has been instrumental in helping me with a number of serious health issues over the past four years. For example, after many years of frequently suffering from intense abdominal pains after meals, Dr. Ilya worked with me and solved that problem. Other doctors I'd seen could not find the source and only wanted to prescribe a drug, without even finding the cause. Dr. Ilya looks for the underlying cause -- which makes total sense. Using a combination of Applied Kinesiology, structural adjustments, as well as diet and nutritional support, among other alternative treatments, he was able to help steer me out of a tailspin and improve my health in a big way. I was very familiar with the diagnostic method of Applied Kinesiology prior to seeing him, and did not need to be convinced of its validity. Those unfamiliar with that technique may find it unusual at first, but in my experience it's a great tool for detecting imbalances in one's body . His unique "triad" approach treats imbalances on 3 levels: structural, emotional, and chemical. I haven't met any other doctors who take such a caring, holistic, comprehensive approach to healing. Dr. Ilya always reminds his patients that his support and "coaching" make up only half the recipe for improved health - the other half comes from patients' efforts to follow his recommendations, particularly avoiding certain foods that we might enjoy but may not be the best fuel for our bodies. It can be a challenge, but the payoff is well worth it. Some people look for easy fixes when it comes to their health, but I find that to have lasting good health requires effort, motivation, mindfulness and persistence, and Dr. Ilya does a great job in helping to keep his patients on track.
