Fantastic experience: I been a member for 2 months and I feel stronger every week . I love the fact, every session is different week by week. So your body can’t adapt to the every day routine. Keep up the great work The Camp transformation Downey . I just did the class with Andrew great class with all the weights . it felt great .

Fantastic experience: So Happy I found THE CAMP!! Besides having a membership, Nathans Elite is unbelievable! He's so thorough, he is a Sweetheart, he helped me so much I cant thank him enough... Sam is everything, Janelle is killin it, The atmosphere is fire. Bam, Fonzie, Andrew, Frank, & Stephy are allll phenomenal trainers... #AFF

Negative experience: I’m very disappointed this is my second Sunday and I do t get to workout because this trainer they in city of Downey at 8am only does lower body! It should be full body! And he does long time on workouts! I love when Mathew on Thursday does the class! They just need to get better trainer! Just paid $1200 the whole year! I been with the camp since day 1 ! Then I stop because for the same reason. I hope they really change or talk with this trainer

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to the camp in Downey and let me tell you, the coaches are great. But as soon as I walk in when I see Sam at the front desk it makes my day. Not only does she always greet you with a smile but she really knows her nutrition info. If you anything or buy any kind of products at the camp GO TO SAM!!! She knows her stuff!!!

Fantastic experience: I have never enjoyed going to a gym, but now I not only enjoy it, but I miss it if I can’t go for a couple of days. It’s always such a positive vibe and a great workout. The trainers are all great and I have seen some amazing results going 3-4 times per week for a year now. I have also made some really great friends. Im definitely going to renew!

Negative experience: Be very aware, some of the members here are very aggressive and will assault you physically and verbally. Some amendment auditors were recording in the street and these thugs assaulted them. Be aware of these dangerous thugs.

Negative experience: I am now at a new fitness gym, as my experience with The Camp in Downey has consistently been disappointing and in violation of the contract, specific to the manager. She is disengaged, unconcerned, not friendly and does not follow through. I have been charged $371 after cancelling my membership per the stipulation of the contract. Because the manager never made an effort to return my phone calls, messages left with staff, or follow through on the contractual obligation I had to contact my bank to freeze any further charges from The Camp. Incidents: 1. I temporarily canceled my membership providing the 2 week notice, spoke directly in person to the manager as well, confirming the charges were temporarily suspended, and then was charged the next month anyway. I reached out to the owner, through a staff member he communicated they would refund the charge, it NEVER happened. Why, because it requires the manager to initiate the refund. 2. I was in a car accident, in PT, decided to permanently cancel my membership due to both a longer recovery period and manager attitude. As the manager NEVER responds to any form of communication, I came into the establishment, dropped off a hard copy of my request the second week of September. Through email inquiry, seeking clarification, I was informed that a month notification is required to cancel, not two weeks. Therefore I expected to be charged for October and my membership should have canceled at the end of October. However I was charged for November AND December. When I called in November to inquire as to why, the staff acknowledged that due to the note on my account, it should have been cancelled at the End of October (as the document was submitted the 2nd week of September). However only the manager could cancel the membership so they would have her call me (she never called and seemed to not be available, consistently) as a result I was charged in December. By chance she picked up the phone in December and she stated, "You were charged because your account is still active." I explained that I submitted the written notice to cancel the 2nd week on September and had email correspondence as proof. She dismissively said, "I will have to find the email." Because I did not trust her word, I found the email transcript and sent it to her myself. No surprise, she never responded, my account was left active. Frustrated, I called my bank and had them freeze out any charges from The Camp indefinitely. I have no doubt, that if I had not taken action I would still be incurring charges today. I will be posting this on the BBB and disputing the charges with my bank. Sadly, the staff (with the exception of the manager) are polite and nice. Had the manager been responsive, shown integrity and honored the contract, I would still be patronizing this fitness center and referring my friends and associates. However I will not recommend this center to anyone due to all of the reasons listed above. As I look through the comments on Google I have realized mine was not an isolated experience. There are enough comments regarding failure to hold to the legal contract that call into question the integrity of this business.

Negative experience: I was a customer for nearly 4yrs. I was sold a "buddy" membership and paid 147dls a month for two people. Never missed a payment. Front desk checked us in daily without an issue. One morning without notice, they just blocked us from entering the gym because my Buddy's membership was NOT active!! eventhough they had just charged my account. The "manager" then stated that their prices had changed and needed to get a new membership. That is not only unethical, but also a violation of their own contract. I proceeded to cancel my account by email as they requested and all I got was the run arround. Today they charged my credit card again. Stay away from unscrupulous business owners and managers. Im taking this to a higher level. Wrong person to steal from!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Camp Downey and Camp Bell. I’ve been a member for over 6 years. The ambiance here is always inviting and fun. This is my go to place to destress & unwind. The amazing staff and workouts keep me coming back for more. I lost 140lbs following their 42 day program. Their nutrition plan and workout classes have help me keep the weight off for over 6 years.

And people started to start arguments which i don't like to workout in that type of enviroment so i decided to cancel my membership

Fantastic experience: 1st time here came with a friend did a weighted upper body/arm workout it was great. Very friendly environment employees and guests. Also very sanitary they encourage you to even sanitized shoes with a sanitizing spray bottle sanitize hands. Also encourage 6ft space. During workout personal trainer very interactive amd friendly encourages you to keep going and helps coach/correct your workout so you can get the best out of it and of course prevent injury. Facility very clean and sanitized bathrooms available, treadmill, stairclimber, great amount and veriety of dumbell weight and kettle bell. Also has barbell leg curl machine and a few more that i can nit recall.

Positive experience: Workout was good. Trainer was good. Warm up and cool down needs help and personally feel when a trainer knows you are new, they should ask you if you have any injuries or concerns.

Fantastic experience: Been going to the Carson Camp TC for 8 months and have to say this new facility is just as nice. Issue is parking at times . But, overall great facility.
