Fantastic experience: It has been Incredibly refreshing to find a practitioner like Dr. V, especially in the medication/surgery first healthcare world of today. Dr. V has helped me to entirely eliminate lower back and leg pain that has plagued me for years, and has been fantastic to work with the whole way. His focus on treating the underlying condition and not just the symptoms is something you don't find with other Chiropractors. He truly puts his patients well being first, which was apparent from the first consultation. He is incredibly knowledgeable and took plenty of time to explain everything in great detail, in a way that was easy to digest. If you're looking for someone who really cares about helping you get better and not just your money from repeat visits, look no further. Total 5/5 experience for me.

Fantastic experience: I met James Valcarcel at the Primary Spine Practitioner program in Pittsburgh in 2017 and he’s become one of my most trusted colleagues. Fantastic experience: Dr. V has absolutely turned my life around. I’ve had chronic lower back pain for over 5 years and lost all confidence after going to so many different chiropractors and doctors. Fantastic experience: Thanks to a friend’s referral, I’m now in the care of Dr. James Valcarcel. After a recent accident my neck and back were getting progressively worse, I was hardly able to walk or raise my arms when I first came to see Dr. V. Since my first appointment I’ve improved mobility and I’m confident after surgery I will be much stronger. Dr. V went over every aspect of my accident, showing me my injuries on the X-ray and MRI results. Dr. V helps me feel confident about my care and recovery. He understands that I have a fear of further hurting myself when exercising and takes time to explain the levels of pain and when to stop! I thank him for the support he gives that helps me cope with the trauma and anxiety the accident caused. He gives me physical therapy exercises to strengthen my core back and hips…oh, and most importantly he’s taught me how to breathe. Learning how to sit and stand sounds easy till you can’t do it! Fantastic experience: Amazing! 10/10. I would highly recommend Dr. Valcarcel. I went in on crutches with what I thought was a dislocated knee and walked out walking completely on my own. I had seen my pc, an orthopedic specialist, and another chiropractor and he was the only one that was able to help me. The last time I had an episode like this, it took months for me to be able to walk and he had me walking in one visit. He took the time to help me not only with the physical pain but with the mental side of it. He was so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Added bonus for his kind heart of rescuing senior dogs. I am an avid dog lover, so this spoke volumes to me. I will definitely be coming back for any issues I have in the future.

Fantastic experience: I have to say that I was in an extreme amount of pain when I decided to follow a friend's advice and make an appointment. To my amazement! Fantastic experience: Dr. V has been an integral and instrumental part of my recovery(the other part is me) from a number of chronic physical injuries, ranging from my foot, to my back, to my hip and, finally to my ribs. Because of him I am back in the gym and learning to surf. He has been a physical life coach for me and I couldn’t be happier with his treatments, advice and encouragement. I recently had an acute injury to my shoulder and Dr V was, by fortunate circumstances, able to see me within minutes of the injury and was able to access severity and administer treatment. Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff and very friendly. Dr. V is incredibly knowledgeable and explains everything in a way that is easy to follow and understand. And YES he is veteran friendly. We discussed prior traumas I received to my neck through my service in the Marine Corps and knew what I needed. He recommended I get an MRI to see the severity of my and found that I will not need surgery, which was something I was nervous and hesitant about. After my first visit I felt better than I ever have in 12 years. I have seen him on a weekly basis since and now able to see him less due to the magic he has done to me. I recommend him to everyone I know with no hesitation. Truly a life changing experience walking through that door.

Fantastic experience: I haven't had many pain free days in years since my accident. Several surgeons ready to operate but I was hesitant as one should be; what if it gets worse? Thanks to Dr. Valcarcel patience and deep knowledge of his field he was able to find the root of my issue. After only a handful of sessions I started sleeping throughout the night. After a handful more, I was making it throughout the day pain free. A short time later I'm feeling as I should at 35 years old. Fantastic experience: Dr. V. is simply the best, most knowledgeable spine specialist around! I went to him with severe low back pain radiating into my hip. This was 2 days before leaving for a Costa Rica vacation. By the next day, I was feeling 95% better! One more last minute visit the day before departure and he armed me with lots of stretches and breathing techniques to do to strengthen my core and my hips. I can't thank him enough!

Fantastic experience: Dr. V was referred to me from a neurologist as he was out of ideas for a fix for my issue. I was beginning to feel that I would never get back to my level of physical activity and would have to give up doing activities that I enjoy. Dr. V was very methodical in his examination. He provided me with a prognosis, a couse of treatment as well as a time frame for my recovery. Dr V. gave me exercises to do to help me in my recovery. I liked that I had some "homework" to do and that I had responsibilities with my recovery. As I have been very active recently and have tested the limits of each joint in my body, Dr. V has been there to help me get through these minor inconveniences so I can get back to my sports!! Thank you Dr. V!! PS. He has also helped my wife with her neck and my son with his lower spine.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been suffering from a lower back injury for 3 years and sought an alternative to the standard ‘snap, crackle, pop’ and that’s just what I got. Before coming here I tried injections, cortisone, Prolotherapy, heat therapy etc… Dr. V was extensively applying movements to my daily that agreed with my mobility. I can’t say enough for the amount of progress I saw in just the first visit. Needless to say, I have miraculously after a few visits recovered and can say I actually feel better than I did in my early 20’s. Fantastic experience: Dr. Dan is the absolute best. I love his method of approach in his practice. I had some muscle pain in my back radiating from my neck following a minor sport injury. After the first visit I had almost no pain. He sent me home with stretches and way to manage the pain if it came back. I went back the following week and it the pain was gone and I am able to workout at my normal level again. Definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Fantastic experience: I'm so glad that I decided to give Dr. V a try. This is the place you want to go! I had a few different concerns with my health. He took the time on our very first visit to listen to all of my concerns and come up with game plan on how to resolve them...including which ones may be causing the other ones. This is so much better than the traditional medical system that just takes your symptoms and assigns a prescription to them. He also took the time to get to know me as a person. What kind of hobbies I had, work life, ect. He views your health as a whole system working together instead of individual parts to be treated individually. He and his staff are very down to earth and easy to talk to to. The office is very clean, comfortable and functional. If you really want to get in control of your overall health, I cant recommend Dr. V enough. I'm very grateful that I did.

Fantastic experience: Dr. V was recommended to my husband Richard by an orthopedic doctor. (How may orthos would do that??) Within no time, Richard's shoulder was much improved. Several months later, Richard again had a problem with his right shoulder; he couldn't lift his arm and couldn't sleep. Without thinking twice, we phoned Dr. V. He was able to see Richard the next day; gave him a laser treatment and 2 days later, Richard could lift his arm all the way, with a little pain, but almost miraculously. In working with him, we are amazed at how knowledgeable Dr. V is in so many areas. He even will work with Richard's personal trainer when the time is right to improve Richard's health. How many doctors would do that? After reading more about Dr. V online, I've decided to make an appointment for myself to work on my health concerns. We just cannot thank him enough for his care, compassion, professionalism, knowledge, and desire to help. Fantastic experience: Dr. V is absolutely amazing. I’ve been seeing chiropractors for 11 years due to my scoliosis and being involved in a car accident. He has been the first chiropractor to actually give me things I can do on my own to help with the pain of my herniated and bulging discs in my neck. I also tend to get lower back pain due to my scoliosis that I am able to work on by self instead of needing to be in the office all the time. I used to have to see a doctor every week 2 to 3 times. Now I see him only once every 2 weeks. I would recommend him to anyone for any chiropractic needs. His dietary advice also helped me clear up some skin issues I was experiencing.

Fantastic experience: I have been suffering for years with headaches, neck pain and lower back pain. I have seen multiple other providers over the years with little to no relief, after just 1 visit I was already getting relief. I have been seeing him intermittently over the last 2 years and he has been able to keep me from needing any surgery. I could not recommend Dr. V enough, never a bad experience in office and always accommodating especially when I am having bad flare ups and he is also veteran friendly.

Fantastic experience: Dr V was one of the most understanding doctors I have seen for my distal radius compound fracture. He took the time to fully explain everything and help me understand the neccacary steps to properly rehab my injury. He provided knowledge and a level of care that I have never received. I am 90 days post op and almost 100%. I could have not recovered this well without his guidance. I will recommend his services to any and everyone in need of proper understanding and care.

Fantastic experience: I think it’s been about 5-6 months since my first visit to Dr. Vs office. When I first came in my psoriasis was flared up on both legs, my scalp and other parts of my body. Regardless of what I used there was no difference, it only got worse. On top of that, I was sleeping horribly and my anxiety was through the roof. Though all of these things seemed to be well managed I was tired of managing all of it for it just to either not change or get worse. When I first walked in we talked for 2 hours. It wasn’t about how the weather was, it was literally 2 hours of discussing my over all health. This was a dramatic change in scenery coming from your standard doctors offices where you’re lucky to get maybe 10 minutes with somebody before they’re in a rush to “diagnose” somebody else. Just when I thought that was impressive, every single thing he had to say and every single point he made was backed by either some sort of study or some kind of evidence. He wasn’t just trying to get me in, patch me up, and get me out. We went over multiple things multiple times to not ease the symptoms.. but to find the root cause to the issues I was having and to target the cause. He mentioned something about how your digestive tract can influence how your skin looks. At first I was skeptical because, well, every other doctor in the world says it’s auto immune and I’m out of luck. Now my skin is better than it’s been in 9 years. My scalp isn’t dried and hurting, the skin on my legs don’t scrape off and bleed when I bump into something, and on top of that I feel great. I’ve slept great for months, all through the night at that. I’m not lethargic even after long days and how many body has reacted to stress and anxiety has changed as well. I’m telling you, he’s the real deal and genuinely cares.

Fantastic experience: I came to visit james, skeptical of going to a chiropractor. I don't do doctors. I dont do pain meds. I tough it out. I haven't been to the doctors in about 12 years. But this hurt. My lower back was in a lot of pain, so I know I had to do something. I met with james and I'm so happy I did. We sat and talked first. Had great conversation and looked into what might be causing my pain. We did some stretches and tried to pinpoint exactly what it was. From there, he showed me how I could fix it. That's right. He told me what I needed to do to make it better. He showed me a couple different stretches to do and what was causing it and it's been great. I am very appreciative of james and all the help he has given me.

Fantastic experience: Dr V is the best! My boyfriend does not like going to the doctors office. He lifted something he probably should not have and his back was hurting for a few days. We reached out to Dr V who made an appointment for him immediately. The first thing we noticed was how awesome his customer service is, he will literally put a smile on your face. The next thing is how clean his office is. I felt very comfortable being there during what is going on this day and age. While being seen he did stretches and exercises to get his back feeling good again. His back was good as new within 5 days of being seen.

Fantastic experience: Dr. V is the best! I’ve been through the ringer with other chiropractors for years. It was always the same bs routine. For example, x rays on the first visit which usually aren’t even needed and just another way for them to charge you more money then oh let’s set you up for 3 times a week for 6 months. Recently I’ve spent hundreds of dollars over the past year for chronic neck pain to the point where I couldn’t sleep at night. I saw 2 diff chiropractors that weren’t able to help me. After numerous visits I was almost ready to give up until meeting Dr. V. Within just 4 visits I was already 80 percent better. Don’t waste your time with the same run of the mill chiropractors speeches. Dr. V has a completely diff approach with each individual. I’m very pleased to be able to find someone who is actually able to help me.

Fantastic experience: Both my wife and I have chronic back pain issues and use Dr. James on a regular basis. We've been down the GP route that prescribe pain killers and eventually want to send us to surgery. They only treat the symptoms and never seem to identify the cause. Dr. James works through all the potential root causes of the pain and narrows it down to the exact culprit. Then he prescribes PT, not drugs and calls it "homework". When you come back, he asks...Did you do your homework? If you do it, You Will Get Better. If you don't, you won't. What I like best about Dr. James is he educates his patients on their body. He shows you exactly what is wrong and shows you how to fix it. He also gives you a laundry list of activities that will cause the area to flare up so you learn to avoid those movements. Two years ago, after spending seven days in a car driving over 3,000 miles, I woke up and could not get out of bed. My back pain was so severe, paramedics had to give me morphine to get me into the ambulance. The pain radiated from my lower back down my legs. My leg pain was so bad, I thought I had Deep Vein Thrombosis or a blood clot in my leg. Turns out I had three herniated disk and a fractured disk that was floating around and irritating the Sciatic Nerve. Dr. James zeroed in on it and gave me the PT "homework" designed to move the pain back up to where it originated, the herniated disks. Once the pain was centered, the PT focussed on the problem and within four weeks, I was jogging on the beach! because Dr. James taught me what NOT to do, I have been pain free since. Funny, I had three doctors suggest that I go straight to surgery and thank God I didn't because that was NOT necessary and probably would have made it worse. Dr. James doesn't accept insurance. SO WHAT! I recommend Dr. James to all my friends and I am amazed that so many would rather go to endless doctor and PT sessions and never get better just because they accept insurance. Don't you get it? They make money every time they see you. Dr. James doesn't want to see you again. He wants you to get better and when you are better, he has done his job. I would rather pay to get fixed now than rely on my insurance to treat me forever and not fix the problem. Since my back injury, I've been back for other issues with my shoulders and forearm. Dr. James is an amazing doctor. He will find your pain and he will fix it. What are you waiting for?

Fantastic experience: Short version: Dr.V is incredible. I've never met someone so devoted to his field. Well beyond top notch service from a man who actually cares about his patients. After going to multiple local physicians to make sure I didn't have permanent damage from a heavy lift I was given drugs or tape from either and light duty. After 3 months of this and re-injuring lifting a meager 20lbs i finally had Dr. V Telehealth me (thanks covid). He knew immediately what was wrong with some simple questions. Gave me an exercise routine and within 3 days i felt better than i had in 3 months. After 10 days I felt better than I had in years. Its been at least a month now since I stopped exercises and I stress this muscle group daily with zero pain.

Fantastic experience: Cant praise this business enough. A true understanding of how the human body works and how to fix it. I was suffering from severe lower back pain, leg pain and limited mobility. James was able to assess my condition and assure me that I was not facing anything that needed further medical attention. Despite being all the way in NY, James was able to virtually walk me through all the exercises and stretches that would lead me to alleviate my problem. Fantastic experience: Dr V truly has amazing experience and knowledge ! He’s dedicated if not obsessed with healing and diagnosing injuries, then planning the best treatments. In my case his understanding across a wider spectrum of medical issues and remedies helped me excel in recovery during my 2 1/2 years with full knee operations, from 2 different staph infections. I’ve seen a lot of doctors in the past and now with 5 knee operations. He is among the best for integrating different therapies and for his observations to get to problems missed by other doctors. Fantastic experience: I found Dr Valcarcel through an online search for a functional medicine practitioner. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder a few years prior and had managed my symptoms with diet and supplements for well over a decade before the diagnosis. The symptoms were constantly changing, so I was having to adjust the supplements and my diet along with them to maintain my health but it had become an exhausting routine and I was fed up. Having no desire to be medicated, I wanted to find out if there was some underlying cause for what I was experiencing and if it could be alleviated. I had researched autoimmune disorders and found several articles discussing the possibility of them being related to gut issues, so I decided to look for a doctor to help me determine if this was my problem and I came across Dr. V. At the initial appointment, I was amazed that he would take so much time to listen to what amounted to my complete medical history. He also thoroughly explained to me the guts' relation to inflammation and the immune system response, as well as fully explaining testing and treatment options, he could provide, that would be the most cost effective for me. I have found that a lot of doctors tend to push you through an office visit as quickly as possible, barely listening to what you have to say (especially if you are not interested in a prescription). This was not the case with Dr. V. I left the appointment that day feeling optimistic about my health for the first time in a very long time. During my follow up, he took the time to go over the initial test results and treatment with me thoroughly, ensuring that I understood everything. His lab tests were more extensive than what my MD or Rheumatologist would care to put me through and concluded that my disorder was apparently not diagnosed correctly in the first place. Receiving that information was a godsend, as I felt like I was finally getting some answers about what I was dealing with instead of continuing to flounder around in the dark. The treatment protocol he layed out was tailored to me and he stressed the importance of following it through with proper diet and supplement dosage if I wanted to improve my condition. Once I started the treatment, I began to see results within a few weeks and now, ten months later, I have found much relief from most of my symptoms. Fantastic experience: Dr. V was a godsend for me. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 3 years ago and wasn't having any luck with the mainstream care given for this disease. I was pretty much stuck in my house, needing to be near a bathroom constantly. About a year ago my niece suggested a functional medicine approach, and found Dr. V for me. He is so caring, knowledgeable, and most importantly willing to listen. It was amazing how many things were 'off' with my body and he addressed the causes, not the symptoms. Fantastic experience: I arrived at Dr. Valcarcel's office barely able to walk . My right knee was blown up and hurt like mad! Especially when I added pressure. I left an hour and a half later able to walk with a limp but walk! I had an MRI which confirmed Dr.V's belief that I had torn my Medial Meniscus. Fantastic experience: I had been having sharp back and neck pain for weeks that had been progressively getting worse until it became unbearable. I gave Dr. Valcarcel a call and described my symptoms. Fantastic experience: For the past 3 months I've had a neck and back injury that's really been giving me an issue. I've been through blood tests, lyme tests, neurologist visits and steroids and nothing seems to have worked. Fantastic experience: I had neck pain for about four years and it was getting progressively worse by the time I came to Dr. V's office. I had some days when I couldn't physically get out of bed. I was in constant pain every day. Over the years I had tried three different chiropractors on weekly and biweekly scheduled visits. I was also going to massage on nearly the same schedule. I was spending thousands of dollars and not seeing progress. I had gone from being an active 30-something woman to being depressed and feeling sorry for myself. I stopped exercising and became quite miserable. My massage therapist told me about Dr. V and I finally went to see him almost a year after she first mentioned him because I was trying another treatment plan with a different chiropractor. Fantastic experience: Hi, My name is Kai Wong. I flew into Orlando Florida from N.Y on 12-04-15 for some R & R and fishing. My driver picked me up at the airport 0:900 Hrs. On my way to my destination, the drive ask me if I was going fishing? I stated to him, I don't know because I have some old and new injuries (neck and hand).
