Negative experience: Would strongly recommend going elsewhere. My initial experience was Nov 2024 and it was not great. I figured hey, maybe just an off day for the clinic. After another frustrating and dissatisfactory experience this week, I feel this review is warranted. First of all, never got bloodwork results. At checkout, my husband explicitly asked if he needed to schedule a follow up. He was outright told no. Never heard back, guess they only give results for another copay. I completely understand a follow up if there are concerns or abnormalities. However, if the results are all normal, as we anticipated them to be since he was just in for an annual phsyical, it comes across as a money grab for the copay. Especially since our interaction with the doctor totalled 2 - 5 min, although I did like the doctor. While he was nice, it is not worth the headache of every other interaction. Needless to say, I guess we will never know the bloodwork results. I called to request my husband's medical records Wednesday. Let me preface with that I understand there are procedures in place that everyone must follow. The woman who answered the phone said she couldn't help me whatsoever unless I filled out a records release. Again, understandable there is a protocol, but I was most put off by her approach. Maybe I am one of the few people who has never had to go through this process, but here we are. Do I get the form online? Is it a hard copy I pick up there? Does my new doctor request records to have them released? I don't know because her attitude 1. Lacked any empathy whatsoever and 2. Was very much a "I want to do as little as possible" approach. I kindly expressed my concerns about the lack of customer service and her unwillingness to provide any guidance and her answer was, "Well, you have to fill out a records release wherever you go, so there's that." Very much a "This is obviously your problem, not mine." Again, I understand there is a procedure. But I would have appreciated any guidance or even a hint of willingness to do what she was able. I can only imagine her approach with someone elderly or someone who would need a little extra TLC or patience. All that to say, frustrated by the lack of follow up, customer service, and this woman's willingness to do nothing above the bare minimum.

Hi Ashley - I apologize for the miscommunication, among other things. I would like to speak with you regarding this if you have time.
I'm not sure what happened with the follow-up labs, but you can request your lab results anytime. If something is severely abnormal, we contact you right away. Sometimes, we will complete your physical while reviewing the labs. That would be a "true" physical.
As far as the record release, yes ma'am we would need a record release signed an dated. I know it seems silly to sign a record release, but due to HIPAA regulations it's a necessity. You can sign the record release here or at your new office. If you want them for your records, you can certainly come in and ask for a medical records release, and we can release your records to you. The records processing can take up-to 1 week to be processed.

Fantastic experience: These guys are absolutely awesome. The girls at the front desk are so fun. You walk in and they are always smiling, laughing and make it a great welcome. The techs will laugh and joke with you. They listen and and so easy to talk to. The doctors are just as much fun as the rest of the staff. The doctors really do listen and address all your questions. They are just as easy to talk to and I NEVER feel like my concerns weren't addressed. The lab tech on site always does an amazing job whenever I need blood drawn, and I hate needles. And there is a nutritionist there twice a week that patients can see if they want. I never dread going because I know I am in good hands and always have a great experience. I always walk out with answers to my questions and a smile.

Negative experience: This place is a huge headache, you’ll end up having to call them and the pharmacy about fifteen times for one prescription before you finally get it, and when you call them everyone tells you what you want to hear then just doesn’t do what they promised. This goes for the whole damn office too, no one seems to do what they say they are going to do. Out of medication and miserable, thank you Dynamic Family Medicine

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Pete smith since I was a baby and I've never had a bad experience. Pete will drop anything to make sure his patients are well taken care of. I've loved this office since I was a baby and now I'm almost 22 living in FL and I still do tele health appointments with Pete simply because I feel so comfy with him. He always asks about my family and school and never fails to be patient with shots even when I was a child. The care that he has for his patients is unlike any other doctor I've seen. The receptionists though. I've called 3 times to get my shot record faxed over and it goes straight to voicemail every time and I've been waiting over a week. Still love Pete though

Fantastic experience: Edit** my original review below was from over 3 years ago. I just wanted to update the review to say that in the 3 years since I first posted, this office is STILL amazing. Pete Smith goes above and beyond for his patients. Both, Pete's medical assistant Susanne and the front desk staff Bernadette are phenomenal as well. Our family has recieved exceptional care and treatment here and we appreciate this office and the staff more than they probably know. We recommend Dynamic Family Medicine to everyone we know. (Christina alani ariana) **************************************** 2021 I am a new patient. I was really terrified to change PCM's to begin with and COVID made it even more worrisome for me. To be honest, I didn't have great feelings about this transition from the start. There were also some initial issues with paperwork and trying to get my first appointment here that were a bit frustrating- it was addressed and fixed by a very nice person on their staff- but I was a little concerned at first. I really expected to walk in and not have a good experience today. However, first impressions are that Pete Smith and his staff are wonderful. The woman at the front was very friendly. The nurse who took me back was also, very friendly and kind. The woman assisting the PA (I believe she was a student) was kind and comforting and very attentive. And PA Pete Smith was amazing as well. He was very kind, attentive, and made me feel at ease. He listened to what I had to say, didn't rush me and made sure that I was set up for the care I needed. I still have concerns about my health but the care I received today and the overall experience allowed me to take a breath and find a moment of peace after weeks of being on edge and anxious. The fact that the staff made it clear that they will be supportive and focused on my issues truly made me feel like a weight has been lifted. I have had doctors in the past who didn't seem to understand that how we are treated during appointments( our experience with the staff and doctors) adds to the stress we go through when dealing with a serious health concern. This team seems to get it and it is appreciated more than they probably know.

Fantastic experience: This is a great family practice. My daughter and I have the same doctor. There are toys in the waiting room and lollipops for after, so my child always looks forward to her visits. The front desk receptionist is always friendly. My doctor and his MA are so professional but actually listen like people who care. It's helpful to get a text immediately after an appointment to confirm prescriptions compared to other places. I wish all doctors' offices were like this one.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first visit to this practice yesterday. I chose it because it was in-network with my insurance and close to my home. I had a fantastic experience!! The woman at the front desk, Michelle, was a hoot and made me feel so comfortable immediately. I saw Dr. Brown who is very down-to-earth and knowledgeable. His MA, Vicky, is an absolute gem! She's attentive, funny, caring, and takes pride in her job. She's even bilingual Spanish! Before I left, they sent me a text confirming the medications they were sending to my pharmacy. Super impressive! I'm so happy I found this practice and would recommend it to anyone!

Negative experience: Someone will probably respond with a “we’re sorry blah blah” but they are just doing that so other people don’t realize they don’t know what they are doing. Went here twice not going back. They aren’t able to tell you accurate information about your insurance. They said mine was able to be used and then later said it wouldn’t be and I got charged when they said there would be no charge. The exact same thing happened to my girlfriend who was visiting the same day. She was told there would be no copay due to her insurance, next time they said she owed $250. She is a nurse practitioner and said the Dr. didn’t do most things he should have and she wasn’t happy and wouldn’t be going back. The Dr. takes about 1 min to talk and then schedules next appt and leaves; total money grab, they don’t actually try get a good grasp on how you’re doing. If you have actual concerns about your health I would avoid this place. Oh and the Dr. I saw wore jeans which was concerning when every other medical professional I’ve ever seen was not wearing jeans.

Hi Matthew - We check ALL elgibility when we schedule an appointment. We would not have scheduled the patient otherwise. Our office tries very hard to help get your insurance claims paid. However, we can't negotiate with an insurance company if the patient didn't have insurance coverage in the first place, or if it termed 3 days before their appointment. Our recommendation would be to hold off on making an appointment, if the patient knows that their insurance will be canceling.

As far as your girlfriend, it sounds like she has a deductible plan. Many times patient's have deductibles, or copay's and not realize. Copay's and deductibles are different. Again, that would be the responsibility of the patient. Please have her refer to her insurance policy to become more familiar with the different types of programs that health insurance cover. This will help when she see's a new provider and receives another bill for her deductible. Please feel free to have her call me and I can help explain.

This office prides ourselves with taking exceptional care of our patients. Regardless, if a provider is wearing jeans.

Fantastic experience: I have been blessed to have Pete Smith P.A.C & Susan RN for over twenty years as my caregivers & I feel as though I'm beyond blessed to have them. Pete has been then the absolute best & often when I've had medical issues that others misdiagnosed or simply did not recognize he has always got things identified & under control. Fantastic experience: I began treatment with Dr Brown almost 7 years ago in Pueblo. When he stopped treating patients at Pueblo's Hanson Clinic a year later, he transferred my file to this facility. I'm in my seventies now and have a bunch of medical problems. Dr Brown has been terrific. He's helped me through 3 hernia surgeries, a painful sciatica bout, high blood pressure, suspicious changes in a facial mole and other problems. I always get the feeling from him that he truly cares about my well being and I appreciate him. The supporting staff has been always helpful to me. His assistant, Vicky is my point of contact. I call her when I have questions and I depend on and value her medical expertise. I must add I am quite neurotic and can be difficult to deal with. Despite that, no one loses patience with me and I am so grateful. I just wish it was easier to get to the office as I'm still in Pueblo and have transportation issues.

Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here. Michelle is always helpful when I call in. Directing me to the correct person or scheduling an appt for me. My provider Carissa is a very compassionate, attentive and wonderful. She thoroughly handles all concerns. She formulates plans together and talks through everything. I appreciate this because it allows me to advocate and make decisions for my healthcare as well. Her MA Rachel is spectacular too. Extremely helpful and timely with any med request I have. Or just answering questions period. Always greeted with a smile from everyone in the office. 10/10 commend this office if your looking for a compassionate provider who cares and listens.

Negative experience: Do not go here. As others have stated they spend very little time with you. It seems they just want to get money from you but don't actually dont want determine the cause of your illness. Their billing practices need an overhaul. I asked before leaving if I needed to pay any copay for the visit. I was charged for physical that never happen. Only get 1 star because can't give 0 stars

Hi David - I apologize for your negative experience. If you would like to call me or email me I can explain why you are getting a bill for a copay. I can print out a copy of your EOB's so you can see what YOUR INSURANCE company paid.

In order for our providers to find a diagnosis we might have to see you a couple of visits to figure it out. Sometimes it's not so cut and dry, and it might take more testing or a specilaist in that particular field to find out exactly what the problem is.

Copays are REQUIRED by law to collect in order for our office to keep a contract with your insurance company. Sometimes your card will have the copay on the front, and other times we won't know until we bill your insurance to see if you have a copay. It would help greatly if insurances would explain your policy in detail before you purchase the policy.

Again, I apologize for any miscommunication or confusion this may have caused.

Positive experience: I LOVE our doctor we saw here. She is very sweet and attentive. She listened to all of our issues with open ears and tackled them all. I am not, however, fond of admins lack of empathy. I had to call to cancel my appt as my car was not starting and my husband was out in the field as he is military. I have no other family or friends here. I explained this to them ahead of time and they still charged me a $25 no show fee. I understand business is business, but it didn’t help my situation or make me feel very valued. We are currently PCSing, so I don’t have to worry about being seen in that office anymore. But that is enough to make me want to switch physician offices.

Hi Sierra - Thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to here that you didn't feel valued. I apologize for the misunderstanding. I can tell you that we value all of our patient's.

Our office provides a welcome letter to all of our new patient's explaining the missed appointment fee. We only charge a missed appointment fee due to the fact we might have been able to put a miserably sick patient in your appointment slot. That is definitely an office that does not lack empathy rather than an office trying to make sure every sick person is seen. However, we realize life happens and you can't make your appointment. In this instance, we will waive the fee. If you have worked with computers before then you know they are far from perfect, and from time-to-time it will still generate the fee. This could have been fixed with just a simple phone call explaining you don't owe the fee.
We are happy to hear that you're satisfied with your provider, but discouraged that receiving a simple no-show fee would stop you from coming here. Was that the lack of empathy you mentioned? I can say that it's hard to resolve an issue if we didn't even know there was an issue to begin with.

Negative experience: I really do love them my doctor! I am not fond of the person I speak to when I have to make an appointment. Everytime I call she seems very short and not very friendly. For it to be the first voice you hear it should be the most pleasent voice, and that isn't the case, which makes me sad.

Negative experience: We found this facility over a year ago and have loved their care, until recently, and unfortunately will be switching offices and doctors entirely. If have a sick child or any medical need that requires an appointment (not booked months in advance), don't bother calling them. As a regular patient, I was told by the receptionist there was "nothing she could do to get us in, but that we can't let strep throat sit, so we should really find a doctor," when trying to make an appointment for my sick son. The closest available appointment was weeks away. If we are unable to get in at our primary care doctor when we are sick, where else are we supposed to go? Isn't that what a doctor's office is for? I'm flabbergasted by the disrespect from the office staff and so saddened to see such a great doctor's office go down the drain.

Negative experience: They don't care about their patients, they just want your money. The 'doctor' completely dismissed my symptoms and my problem, sent me for blood work and then I had to call to schedule another appointment (another $200 in their pocket) to be told everything is fine when clearly it's not. They don't take anything you say seriously if you're fat, even if you're desperately trying to lose weight and have been for years. It can't be that there's something wrong with me, I'm just a fatty who likes to pay $500 to be called a liar. Honestly, they're useless. Edited to add - Your assumption that I would need to pay a nutritionist weekly in order to know how to do something as simple as count calories, proves my point.

I can tell you that if you have weight management issues we will try to get to the bottom of it by starting with blood work. If that’s not the problem we move on to another test or procedure to help find you answers. We also offer a nutrition program, and we currently have a certified nutritionist on site.

If you’re having a problem with your deductible or copay we would’ve gladly helped.

Negative experience: Do not go here. As others have stated they spend very little time with you. It seems they just want to get money from you but don't actually want to determine the cause of your illness. Their billing practices need an overhaul. I asked before leaving if I needed to pay any copay for the visit. The receptionist said "nope you are good" then a month later I get a text stating I owe a $20 copay without receiving any bill in the mail. Don't bother calling their billing department because they are never there and they never return your calls. Also their patient portal will not reflect any amount due.

I apologize that your insurance requires a $20 copay. All insurances are different. We give everyone a handbook that explains in detail our policies and procedures.

Our office is trying to keep up with the times, and often patients would rather receive a text message than a phone call. We started sending out text messages as a courtesy that we can now accept payments online.

Negative experience: I recommend Carissa, she was nice and quick and I'd go to her again, but don't go to Pete unless you want to be dismissed and ignored. He blames obvious problems others see clear as day as just being emotional the day of when it's been occuring for weeks, he doesn't take his practice seriously or offer any real help, especially if you're a woman

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and they're dependable with responses to my questions. Dr. Brown takes time to listen with empathy, and has never made me feel rushed. Vicky is enthusiastic and helpful every time I come in, and has made the effort to get to know me and remember my medical needs from visit to visit. The office is immaculate. My only complaint is the daytime TV in the waiting room....if I have to watch The View one more time...! LOL

Fantastic experience: i have had many interactions with dr carissa benedict in the past 7 months since moving to colorado springs. she is thoughtful, kind, and thorough. she is patient and listens well to me, many times going the extra mile to meet my needs. the nurses and ladies at the desk are also very kind and enjoyable. i will recommend dr carissa every chance i get. to summarize, i am completely BLOWN AWAY by my luck in finding these folks!!!

Fantastic experience: Love the people, doctor, physician assistants, and nurses. They truly do care and work with you. I have been a patient here since 2016. That was a really bad time for me, but the office staff, PA Pete Smith, and his nurse Susan made me feel like I wasn't a problem. It has been great since. Just this last few weeks they have been amazing and supportive. They have truly gone above and beyond for me. Negative experience: Please, DONT GO THERE. Rude staff. They tell you they accept your type of insurance HOWEVER, they bill you the cost of your appointment afterwards. They also claim that they’ve sent you 4-6 notices in the mail regarding your bill, but doesn’t matter how many times you check the mail, stuff is not there...how come? And they also defend themselves by saying “oh, before we sent you to collections (an entity that would take care of the payment and would create interests) we called you and left a voice message” I have been looking all over my voice messages. There’s nothing there. A reputable family medicine center, would AT LEAST make you aware of bills that you will be charged post appointment. They did not. They just take your insurance and tell you that “everything’s set and good to go”. Please avoid this place if you don’t want to have any money misunderstandings, they’re thirsty and they won’t care about making sure everything is clear regarding bills.

Fantastic experience: Dr Pete saw my husband after me calling about concerns about his recovery from a neck fusion. Dr Pete seriously had him at a neurologist and for bloodwork and an mri within 24 hours. He was attentive and caring and office staff was very supportive in follow up as well.

Negative experience: Staff doesn't do anything. Make it almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a copy of your medical records and never call you back about things. The nurse is a joke, constantly asking if you need a flu shot even though you got one in their office the week before. Shouldn't that be written down? They see you for maybe 5 minutes after waiting for 20 in the lobby. Do yourself a favor and go to another Doctor's practice.

BEWARE if your seen here and they decide not to send you billing statements you will not only pay for your services you will also pay interest.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Pete Smith here for a couple of months now and he's been nothing short of amazing. All of the staff here are caring and they listen! I've been suffering from PPD & was swelling something awful (about a month postpartum) and my OB told me it wasn't their problem. I was in a dark place and the swelling in my feet hurt so bad and I didn't think anyone cared until I came here. My son is sick and they all ask about him too when I come in. There seems to be a shortage of doctors that will actually listen and who care, so I feel so fortunate to have found you guys. Thank you for caring and helping me. I don't know where I'd be without you.

Negative experience: Dr Jeremy Brown is very knowledgeable and honestly a great doctor. There have been staff changes to the office. It's a very noticeable difference. The front desk receptionist was rude and always seemed as if she didn't want to be bothered. The new lady is nice and polite and warm. The lady next to her is knowledgeable and willing to help. I originally gave this office an exceptionally honest review detailing the nonsense. It's changed in there and I wanted my review to change as well.

Negative experience: Unfriendly staff, and like other patients’ complaints the front desk personnel have no manners, they present a rude attitude, no sincere friendly greetings, no eye contact. Also, you have to evaluate your billing process, I see several complaints related to this. After my visit I paid my portion not covered by the insurance, then I get over the mail a breakdown of the full bill with a $20 fee (the same amount I paid) which I think is covered since I paid on the spot. Then is sent to collection. If I offered to pay right there any portion not covered by the health insurance, why do you let this things happened? BTW, my wife went to see Dr. Brown for leg pain, and was told that they needed to conduct a sleep study? I am not coming back to this place.

Negative experience: After Jeremy told me that he could do a nerve block of the pudendal nerve he did one it did not work I was never told I was going to be charged more and now I just got served court papers for $142 bill. Never once were we told that we were going to have to pay more for the procedure I was just told that he could do it.why didn't they tell me at the time of service I was going to have to pay more it's not fair to me nor my husband. Really to send the sheriff's department to my door for this and you guys didn't even tell me that I was going to be charged extra for it is really wrong. Not to mention embarrassing in front of my neighbors.it is now 8:31 in the morning and I have been calling them since 8:15 when they said they open and their voicemail still says they're closed

Fantastic experience: Stopped by with a referral problem. Chandra was amazing, she coordinated between TRICARE and UC Health to fix the problem for me, not an easy task (give her a raise). I’ve always been impressed with the staff and their concern for patient care!

Negative experience: All of the nurses and receptionists were very nice. My only issue has been consistently with Pete Smith. He was the first person I went to to find out what was wrong with me. I went into his office two times. The first time I was completely dismissed by him as depressed, thrown drugs and sent out the door in under ten minutes. The second time I was too sick to even communicate so my mother came with me to help. Again he completely dismissed us both and sent me home without more than two questions. I have been found to have fibromyalgia and missed out on months of my life because Pete Smith didn’t care enough to treat me like a person. I recommend seeing anyone else but him if you actually want answers or help.

Fantastic experience: I have had some very bad experiences at doctors offices before so I was nervous when I took my toddler and myself here for our physicals. The office staff was very friendly, and I actually didn't have to wait any time past my appointment which is wonderful with a toddler! The medical assistant was so nice, professional and personable. Then Carissa (PA) came in very timely. We didn't have to wait at all. She was GREAT. So sweet to my daughter and took the time to talk to me about things while being very respectful and kind. She was very informative about some preventative type care I may need and took time to explain. I am very happy to have finally found a doctors office I'll actually go back to! -Amanda

Fantastic experience: This was my first time seeing a civilian provider and I was blown away with PA Pete Smith. He really listened to my concerns and saw me the next day! Negative experience: I’ve been coming to this office for several months. I’ve have had scheduling issues and today was no different. So they had to take me in at the end of their day and their MA “Vikki” was apparently put off by this on a Friday. She was rude, slammed the door every time she came in and out of the room and when she found out she needed to do an EKG, she literally said, Are you F*****g kidding me? Loud enough that I heard her. And when I confronted her, she wouldn’t answer me or apologize but got an attitude and said, “Where are you trying to go with this?” And on top of that I was told by the NP Carissa several times that Dr. Brown broke the rules while treating me and it wasn’t fair. Like I know the inner workings of their office rules and politics. I left that office in tears today and walked out, but you can count on me filing a formal complaint and letting everyone know NOT to go to that office. Nobody should be treated that way. Especially when they have a health issue. Get out of the profession if your patience are a burden to you. And keep your office rules and programs between you. That’s not your patient’s problem.

Negative experience: After returning the myriad pages of medical forms I was given upon my arrival, I was told they needed my S.S.#. I informed them;" I'm not giving you that.The only people who need my S.S.# is the social security administration." I was told by Kim, "No, there's a new law from the government requiring all patients to give their S.S.#'s to doctors' offices to help them track prescription drugs." I responded, "There's no such law, and I'm not giving you my social security number." Kim replied, "Then you can't be treated here." So I left. I phoned the S.S.A. They know of no such law, and told me it was my responsibility to protect my S.S.#. I then phoned an attorney who handles S.S. cases. I was told there is no such law, and I should refuse to give out my S.S.# to anyone.

Positive experience: I needed to get seen relatively quickly and they were able to fit me in within 3 days. I thought that was great as it was my 1st visit. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Should I have medical concerns in the future, I will definately give Dynamic a call.

Fantastic experience: We were so very happy to meet Dr. Brown and finally find a doctor interested in what the patient's treatment goals are! It is so common to have doctors TELL you what your health goals are or should be instead of ask you. It can be very discouraging to a patient if they don't share those goals or fall short of achieving them. No doctor patient relationship can grow from that. It was a huge relief and a pleasant surprise to actually feel supported by a doctor, instead of bullied, or worse, shamed. That shamed feeling keeps far too many people from seeking medical care. If you are avoiding the doctor because you feel unheard, unsupported, or shamed by other doctors, please consider seeing Dr. Brown. Dr. Brown was all around pleasant and sincere. While he did provided appropriate matter-of-fact information about food, exercise, and medication, he was not patronizing. We actually look forward to building an excellent doctor-patient relationship with Dr. Brown at Dynamic Family Medicine.

Fantastic experience: The doctor Pete Smith we have here is the best doctor we’ve ever had. Cody called him this morning & told him I have mastitis & they rushed me in that second. Also when Everly had jaundice we were having a hard time finding the lights for a decent price so he went & bought lights for patients to use when that happens! We’ve never had a dr care that much. The office staff is always friendly & helpful & remember your face.

Negative experience: Tried to get in to see Dr. Zimmer, but was told he doesn't take new patients over age 60. REALLY? The reason given was that he doesn't have a contact with Medicare. I'm currently on Tricare. I won't need Medicare for another 5 years. Plus he is listed on Tricare as an approved provider. VERY disappointing. I'm putting the word out. No use going to him if he's going to kick you to the curb at age 60.

Fantastic experience: Never have had a problem getting in or setting up an appointment. When I need to get my medications or need to change them Dr makes sure that I get what will be safe for me, "it's not a get what I what doctor office." The staff Always Makes sure that I get a physical at the same time every year, and blood work needs are always taken care of. The staff and Dr. always do their share of making sure I'm healthy and I do mine.

Negative experience: PLEASE READ!!!!! The worst health care provider the staff is terrible they have lost my records from previous physician they have lied to me,This office is all about money!!!! I carry insurance and make monthly payment on my account...50 dollar but was told it wasnt good enough they wanted 100 to sum it up they would not refill my med that i take daily for thyroid and an antidepressant...when taking these meds it is dangerous to stop, they DONT CARE!!!!!! you will regret choosing them as your health care provider
