Fantastic experience: I've been visiting 2-3x weekly over the past month for chronic headache, neck and back pain post a vehicular accident which occurred a year ago. After undergoing multiple injections with little improvement, I was advised to try a nerve block in my neck. At that time, I began searching for less invasive treatments and stumbled upon this practice. I'm glad I did as my pain is far more tolerable. Furthermore the facility is nice and the staff is phenomenal.

I was so worried I wouldn’t be able to ski and that my vacation would end up canceled due to my condition. Outside of that she’s extremely well versed as a nurse practitioner, with functional medicine and acupuncture. Fantastic experience: A friend of mine recommended Dr Yehoshua for Accupuncture. I also recommend her!! She is very good at what she does. She is very informative. I enjoy going to my appointments!

Negative experience: I won't be going back here, as the customer service is less than par. I purchased two gift cards from them in the fall of 2021 (yes, I know that's old) at their open house event. They were $30 each for a 30 minute massage. I was able to use one but unfortunately could not find time to use the other one. Between working, raising a newborn, and welcoming another child, I couldn't find time to go until now. I only purchased the gift cards because I am a regular customer of the spa business and decided to support this side of the business too. When I finally called, Gina initially did not want to honor the pricing as prices have since increased, but then she said she would (like it was doing me a favor). She said I had to present the gift card at my appointment, but I was never given one. I was only given appointment cards which of course wasn't filled out at the time. Well, that wasn't acceptable so I couldn't make an appointment. Yes it's only $30 I'm losing but the fact that they don't even keep records of the gift cards they sold me is ridiculous. I'll continue to be a customer of the spa side but definitely not this portion of the business.

Fantastic experience: Amy Yehoshua the acupuncturist is amazing. She listens to my needs and is helping me through many health issues from nueropathy to arthritis and I feel amazing after each session. I highly recommend her as an acupuncturist. I have been to many acupuncturists on the west coast before moving back to Chicago and I am happy to say I have found a great one!

Fantastic experience: I've had neck problems for most of my life went to see Dr. Ankur Shah. He is informative and genuinely cares about you and your health. He takes the time to explain why your having problems and his plan to get better.Since I started seeing him on September 3,2022 my neck has improved 50%. The reception and massage therapist Chris and Sky are fantastic in fact the whole staff are so helpful and welcoming I recommend you go there.

Negative experience: I did not have the best experience at this site with some of the staff members and Dr. Shah, Sr. Please know that his son is wonderful! I felt like a number - not like a patient. I wouldn’t recommend this practice.

Negative experience: I sought out Dr Shah for acupuncture for infertility issues a few years ago. When I met with him, he confidently told me (and sold me on the fact) that every woman who got acupuncture fertility treatments from him got pregnant. He said I would need 20-40 sessions. I was extremely faithful to my appointments coming 2-3 times a week in the beginning and following his protocol exactly how he suggested. Literally, at my 39th session, he asks me how old I was when I first started my period. He never asked me before. I said I was 10. He replied and I quote, "Oh that's why this is not working, your eggs are too old." He shamed me. SHAMED ME!!! But was oh so willing to take almost $4000 of my money without a sorry I could not help you. He took advantage of my situation. I would NEVER see this guy for infertility acupuncture if that is what you are looking for.

Fantastic experience: I was a huge skeptic when it came to acupuncture. I was also at my wits end with fibromyalgia, headaches and back pain. I was tired of trying different medications so I gave it a shot. So happy I did! The staff at Advance Health & Wellness treat me like family and have helped me so much to manage my issues. A bonus is that my hot flashes are gone as well! I tell everyone to give it a try and to go to this office!

Fantastic experience: I love everyone that works at this office! Dr. Shah discovered I have scoliosis. I have seen chiropractors in the past and none have even noticed. He made a treatment plan designed just for me. He doesn't just have one plan for everyone which is hard to come by. If you are looking for a great place, the search is over.

Fantastic experience: I love this place! It's very cozy, like family. I prefer places like that instead of just being a "number". Dr. Shah is awesome. He really takes the time to listen AND hear your complaints. He ordered X-Rays and developed a treatment plan for my particular "pain". I get a combo of treatments, including massage (that's my favorite part). All the massage therapists are exceptional, but a special kudos to my favorite, Antwoine. But, you will not be disappointed with anyone or anything at this place.

Fantastic experience: Oh My Goodness- I have never been treated so well at a doctor's office. Dr. Shah and the office staff were the most inviting and kind people. They all genuinely care about the problems I have been having with my back. You would think Dr. Shah would be absolutely too busy; but, he instead sat with me to find out how I have been feeling and how he can help. He ordered Xrays yesterday and instead of making me wait for the results of what he finds he fit me in for an appointment the very next day to go over them with me. I have been having major problems with my back but I am very happy I found Dr. Shah and his staff because I feel like I will finally be helped right. There are an overwhelming amount of chiropractors to choose from out there but Advance Health and Wellness is where it's at. I am just a patient but I have to say- You should make an appointment and check Dr. Shah out for yourself. OMG- There is even massage and acupuncture offered here. Fantastic experience: I had tried chiropractic care before, and quite frankly it terrified me. But after several months of headaches, I was referred to Dr. Shah by my pcp. She said that she went there as well, and his office is literally attached to the hospital, so I thought what the heck... And it's been a life saver. My headaches are gone and even thought it's only been a couple weeks I do notice a difference. I'm not saying they're miracle workers, but I've seen far less results with traditional medicine and care. If you can afford the commitment (and have decent insurance), do yourself a favor and check them out. Oh and the office staff is amazing as well!

Negative experience: I was told I would get an adjustment from doctor and I didn't get one. All I got was acupuncture and massage. It seemed he even forgot he told me to set up treatment. I feel with tremendous pain I have I will search for a new doctor. I feel he was not uplifting in talking about my condition.

Fantastic experience: I went to Dr. Shah after trying various doctors' therapies for relieving my severe back pain. I had bulging discs and sciatica. I could barely walk, even using a cane. Dr. Shah took a lot of time with me and listened carefully to my description of my pain and symptoms. He was very patient. At my first appointment, I received a therapeutic massage from Corey and an adjustment from Dr. Shah. By the end of the third appointment 10 days later, I was walking without the cane and only minor pain. It was like a miracle. I have continued to have the massages and the adjustments for two and a half months. I haven't walked this well in years. I feel so much better and have so much more confidence thanks to Corey and Dr. Shah.

Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer ( with mets to lung and bones ) in Feb., 2015. After my 2 week hospital stay , I was living in a rehab facility for 8 weeks to get stronger. In addition to my oncologist, I wanted to form an integrative team of a holistic primary doctor/natrapaths, etc. to heal as much as possible. I was praying to God to please find me a chiropractor who was also skilled with acupuncture. I wanted to build back my immune system, detox from the drugs, needed to get my lungs stronger, keep my organs strong, etc. Well my prayers were answered when my brother found Dr Shah from my insurance company. When I arrived at his office for the first time, I was in a wheel chair, on oxygen and was having fluids drained from my chest cavity every day. I couldn't walk much without a walker. My friend had to fill out the paper work as I had no energy. I was also coughing so much. Dr Shah and his staff were so kind to me. Bedside manner is of the upmost importance to me in my healing in addition to the skill of the practitioner. I developed a strong sense of humor to help me cope with the stress I was going through. I used to joke around with Dr Shah and that really helped me. Its nice to have doctors with a sense of humor. I did not need much chiro in the beginning, just acupuncture and medical massage. When I complained that my tail bone was hurting from sitting too much in the hospital and rehab facility, Dr Shah adjusted it with just one treatment. Other issues would crop up such as digestive issues from drugs, back soreness, etc. His medical massage therapists fixed those issues and I did not need any medication. The foot massages were my favorite thing to look forward to during such a difficult time in my life. I have always slept with two pillows, but eventually I was breathing so well that Dr Shah wanted me to only use one pillow. I am still sleeping with only one pillow. Its been a huge commitment of time working on improving my health with Dr Shah the last 27 months but getting back much of my life is so worth it. I am no longer on oxygen, no fluids to drain, no wheel chair and can walk 40 minutes on nature trails. My goal was to attend a Cubs game with no wheel chair and I just reached that goal last month. I walked 9,000 steps that day. Dr Shah shares my love of the Cubs so that has been fun to discuss. Recently, I complained that my lower back ached if I stood too long talking with neighbors. I could barely walk. Dr Shah had orthotics made for me and that has made such a difference. I wish I knew about them sooner but had no idea they could help so much. In summary, Dr Shah is a highly skilled chiropractor and acupuncturist. His therapists are also skilled. Whatever problems crop up, it usually gets fixed with either chiro/acupuncture or medical massage. His office waiting room is very pleasant but since he runs on time, as soon as I sit down , he is almost always ready for me. Thanks Dr. Shah for being the wonderful-- compassionate-- healer that you are. I am so blessed to have you, your wife and your staff in my life.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shah is the BEST! Any time I have needed him he has been there for me. I have gone in after a car accident, sore back, tight joints, and heel pain. I always feel better after I leave. I now go in even when I have no pain just to be sure the pain does not return. After I had surgery years ago and felt miserable while recovering Dr. Shah got me right in and helped me instantly feel better. Dr. Shah is patient, kind, listens, and does whatever he can to help his patients feel their best. He is the ONLY chiropractor I have ever seen and will ever see! Go see him! I came in with severe back pain from scoliosis, and he does adjustments for me twice a week plus a chiropractic massage, and it's been very helpful in reducing my pain and helping me get back to work. Fantastic experience: I began seeing Dr. Shah a couple months ago because I was having minor neck pains. The first visit, he had me go get some x-rays done to verify that there weren't any underlying issues. If you are looking for a quick-fix or for a doctor to give you pain meds, this is not the place for you. Dr. Shah actually cares about his patients and wants to help them achieve long-term results. The staff is extremely friendly and massage therapists are very attentive and accommodating. Yes, the waiting room is small, but who cares? It's not like I am trying to have a party in there. Also, they are moving in a few weeks to a larger space in the same building and will be adding additional services via their new med spa! So Excited!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shah and his office staff are friendly, personable, and professional. They accept many types of insurance and have good hours. About two years ago, my back and neck were hurting so I began regular appointments with Dr. Shah. Since then, my back is feeling better and my neck feels great. I'm always amazed that Dr. Shah knows exactly what type of adjustment I need per visit to help my spine get into correct alignment.

Fantastic experience: I met Dr. Shah after meeting him at the restaurant I worked at. After casually mentioning I had a newborn who was born with shoulder dystocia, suffered from constant ear infections and wasn't sleeping through the night, he handed me his card and told me to swing by next time I was at St Alexius. (Considering my son went to the same dr his kids went to and he's located a floor down from him, why not) I stopped in without an appointment and without hesitation he took my son and adjusted him! My son smiled and was happy the whole time!!! He slept through the night that very night! I came back a few months later due to more ear infections and same; adjusted him (and myself) and he's been ear infection free for over 7 months. Dr. Shah and his wife have such a great and uplifting personality and I love seeing them.

Fantastic experience: I had to write this review because Dr Shah and his staff are the best place around to go for your health and wellness In Hoffman Estates. I had back pain so i came in to try and get my first chiropractic adjustment ever and It was the simplest, greatest experience I've had. Dr.Shah understood it was my first adjustment and he completely "cracked" My fear out! He also educated me when i had any questions. Hes very wise, smart, and passionate about his proffesion. My back and neck aren't as stiff as a board anymore and I feel I've learned a lot with him. Thank you for helping me! I'd like to say that Regardless your age the staff is always friendly and funny! They made me feel super comfortable i trusts Dr Shah 100% as he is the one to call when you need help. when you are hurt, he will do his best to help you out he has a great heart I read a bit of his bio while waiting for my appointment and I was surprised that he offered free clinics services in Brazil and India. That says alot about him as a person. Hes very proffesional and has a funny humor. I can always count on walking out of his office laughing. Thank you Dr. Shah for the pleasant experience.

Negative experience: I started seeing Dr Shah for acupuncture. My first impression of the place was not good. It was dirty I cringed every time I walked into to the acupuncture room and seen that old stained sheet on the bed. There were times I often changed the disposable face covers myself. At my first appointment he asked to see my tongue for half a second but, seemed very uninterested in my mri reports and diagnosis's of my neck and back injuries. Unfortunately, he is one of the only places around that accepted insurance for massage so I kept going. I had my doubts about him from the start. He never asked how I was doing he just came in the room and stuck the needles in wherever he felt like sticking them all without any type of evaluation. I always felt like he didn't know what he was doing when it came to acupuncture. I was rarely ever offered a gown. I almost bought one for myself. The massages I received from the office girl is the only thing that helped me and as previously stated was covered by my medical insurance which he accepted. I have yet to find another massage therapist nearby who accepts insurance. He boasted about his chiropractor friends in the south seeing 100 patients a day. He would grill me about the insurance payments at every visit. ... Aetna is my primary insurer. Allstate is secondary and is responsible for my out of pocket expenses pertaining to my accident related injuries. Aetna always paid but, there were delays with Allstate. Come to find out he wasn't billing Allstate correctly and was not sending in the required office notes. I don't think he even took notes. My Allstate rep even personally reached out to him to get the info they required to pay the bill. I doubt he had any training in acupuncture. They even solicited me to leave them a good review on google which I regret. Anyways on August 2nd I took the 40 minute drive over there for my scheduled appointment. Instead of being treated he took me into his personal office and pulled up my bill. He complained about billing Aetna a certain amount but, like all insurances there is a lesser agreed upon amount they actually pay out. He wasn't happy about that. After he got done complaining about Aetna (which is an insurance policy he accepted and agreed to do business with before I was ever a patient) he started in on me about the $589 Allstate owed him. I said that I contacted my agent who has reached out to them several times. He even acknowledge getting calls from her. I did my part all he had to do to receive payment was send them what they requested. I told him I would contact my agent AGAIN to see what the hold up was. That particular day I was on the verge of a meltdown which I told him I was. He could see my shaking body and knew I could really use some relaxation. Instead of helping he kicked me out. He made clear if Allstate pays him his $589 he isn't making enough money from Aetna to keep seeing me and he wasn't going to keep wasting his time. He could have just called me and told me that instead of having me drive all the way there so he could kick me out to my face. If he doesn't like the rate my insurance pays then why does he even accept it in the first place? I could care less about the crappy acupuncture treatments he was performing but, I did benefit from the massage I got every week from his massage therapist and was really needing that massage, but he wasn't making enough money from my insurance company. How is that on me? How is that grounds to deny my treatment I came in for. Once I walked out of the office and got in the elevator I lost it. As I said and told him I was on the verge of a meltdown (before he started harassing me about the insurance) You would think he would have some compassion being a doctor and all. Nope he didn't care at all. All he cared about was $. He could have let me have my massage and sent me packing but he didn't. I even stopped going to them, in Jan to recover from surgery and contacted me to come back. UPDATE. They just threatened to sue me over my review.

Fantastic experience: After seeing another chiropractor for a while, I wasn't doing that well. But after my first session with Dr. Shah, I immediately started feeling better. His manual chiropractic adjustment skills are spot-on - he knows exactly what adjustments I need to relieve my discomfort. Holly and Katie also do terrific work with my massage therapy. For what must have been years, I had some pretty severe muscle knots in my shoulder. With Holly and Katie's help, those knots are mostly gone, and I feel the difference. I also had an issue with my insurance, but, as advertised, Dr. Shah was very accommodating with payment. Dr. Shah and his staff are easy to recommend to people in the Chicagoland area looking for chiropractic and massage therapy services.

Regardless of your age and the shape you are in accidents happen. Good health happens but it is easier to obtain your good health by being treated by Dr Shah and his staff of professionals! Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Shah for the last 10 years. I feel like the combination of acupuncture, massage, and chiropractic adjustments really help treat my migraine headaches and sciatica. I love that I can get all of my treatments in 1 place! If I did not go for my treatments, I would probably be on lots of medications to manage my pain.
