Negative experience: The ER doc last night 7/29/2025 was nothing short of an outdated gorilla. Went in with orders from my primary doctor that stated I needed to go to the ER, I arrived, showed him the order and he sits there *shrugs* and says he doesn't understand why she ordered me to go to the ER. Needless to say, I'm luckily not paralyzed from the blood clotting in my spine and nobody figured out to this day why I can't pee and he proceeded to tell me the infection around my catheter, blister, and skin melting off my genitals, is "normal." The staff was great, nurses were great, but he didn't even have the gumption to return to the room per my request and do his job. Don't worry, UNMC will be taking care of me today and I will ensure that faith regional, specifically the ER doc WILL be paying for my wasted time and his poor practice that could've resulted in death or paralyzation. Good luck, abandon hope all ye who enter faith regional. He also understood of my neurological issues and played games with me lying and arguing with me about the date of the injury. I also took footage where a second door was open when my genitals were out and a gentlemen digging in a trash bin in green scrubs could see and overhear everything. Please reach out to me for the video, doc isn't fit to run a McDonald's efficiently or safely. My privacy was destroyed and it is not my job to be the doctor and fix myself.

Negative experience: Worst place in the world left mt boyfriend in the entrance doors after having to get ambulance involved to get him to the hospital he can’t walk something with his disc and instead of keeping him there and trying to help him literally can’t walk (we live in an apartment building has a lot of stairs) they just wheeled him out as he is screaming in pain and said call other places worst service in the world wasn’t even there an hour

Negative experience: Worst visit ever. I went to the Er and have to pay 1,000$ for a lab test. I got a second opinion at Wayne and the doctor was surprised I survived. I would rather die than go back.

Fantastic experience: I cant beleive that this hospital dosent have a 5 rating, had to go to the er yesterday and they were the best people they were very polite and fast, they got my pain under control in less then 20 min ,the dr. And nurses i had were the greatest. Thanks to all the drs.and nurses i wouldnt be afraid to ever go there. I should metion i am from out of town and reading some of these reveiws made me a little scared to go, but i am so glad i did , god bless you all and thank you!!!!!

Positive experience: I have been hospitalized numerous times in the last 9 years, the last the first week in February 2025, and find the nursing staff to be competent and compassionate. The Hospitalist Doctors the same. I did find that certain floors answer call lights faster than others. I don’t like the rule that staff needs to check on patients more than every hour. It is almost impossible to get sleep during the day when many different departments are coming in constantly.

Negative experience: Didn’t know I was pregnant until a week before. (Cryptic) and when I went into labor and arrived. No pain meds, told to “grow up”. Finally got an epidural, AS I WAS HAVING HIM. Got charged to extreme amounts for “pain meds” never given. And then told I was a “terrible mother” for not breast feeding” and told them I wasn’t gonna breast feed. Never given anything for my milk to dry up cause “God doesn’t believe in that”. This place hopefully doesn’t ever exist in the near future. Don’t go here unless you are ready to die.

Negative experience: This place is horrible. I have never written a review to say something bad but these doctors and nurses are horrible and so rude. I went in sick with a bad sinus infection my face was swollen and horrible pain on cheeks and my head horrible headache. They pretty much said I was just there for pain medication. A couple of days later my head was still hurting and my neck hurt really bad. I went back and I told the PA i couldn’t move my neck she gets close to me and grabs my head and jerked it down I screamed and threw my hands up to get her off of me. My friend that is a nurse came unglued couldn’t believe she did that. Apparently they think everyone is just after pain medicine I was scared something bad was wrong since I couldn’t move my neck. My daughter who is very sick she sees a blood specialist and an oncology doctor we have had to take her there a couple of times because her doctor said get here there it’s quicker and they can transfer her. Her spleen swollen and her blood is messed up. She was hurting really bad and the pain medication wasn’t helping she was just doubled over in pain and sick to her stomach. She told them everything she takes PA looks at and says I can’t believe you are taking pain medication for a swollen spleen I have never heard of that. She was really mean to my child. I told her doctors how they were treating her and they called and was mad about how they treated her straightened out. She went 2 days ago and they did it again. Just acted like she was lying and just there for pain meds. She never asked for a prescription her doctor did that for her but if she gets to bad get to er. Her oncologist is in Omaha and stomach doctor is here. She called her stomach doctor he looked at the blood they had drawn. He said go back we need to redo bloodwork. He called er and told them what to do. They ended up admitting her because thank god her doctor is wonderful. They originally had sent her home said they had called her doctor and he said there was nothing they could do a complete lie when she called him she asked him. He never got a call from them and wbc was.08 way to low with what she has. They didn’t tell her anything about her bloodwork just sent her home. Thank god her doctor is a wonderful doctor who cares about his patients. I get that they have to be careful because people do just go to get pain medication but when you have her records and know what is wrong with her that she is really sick and you treat someone that way you don’t need to be a doctor or nurse. You have to actually care about people. I want go back to them because they could care less about people. I don’t want my daughter going there but she is grown and when she starts getting really sick and a lot of pain she calls her doctor and they tell her to go there cause it’s closer and her stomach doctor is across the street. After I let them know how they treated her they usually call. But sometimes it in the middle of the night. If you want to be treated like a human being and not like a piece of trash don’t go

Fantastic experience: Nothing but amazing things to say about having a baby here. I just had my second baby at this hospital and the labor and delivery staff were incredible both times. I especially loved my experience with Joan the lactation consultant. She is so incredibly kind and helpful.

Negative experience: They took X-rays on my leg and told me there was nothing and that I could go back to work turns out my leg was fractured. No one at this hospital knows how to do their job correctly.

Negative experience: Seeing everyones posts on here makes me so sad that this hospital is still so money hungry. 10 years ago I went in for a lump in my breast. My gynecologist said that if the ultrasound showed that the mass was clear (or black) then it should just be a fibroadenoma, harmless excess fluid buildup. Had the ultrasound, it was exactly how my gynecologist described so I felt relief. Two days later I get a call from the hospital with the "results" and that they were "inconclusive" highly recommending I get a biopsy done. Breast cancer runs in my family, so I scheduled the biopsy. Surgeon who performed the biopsy used an ultrasound to identify where the lump was and said "looks like this is just a fibroadenoma, so you shouldn't need to worry" and of course that's what the results were! No cancer! They made a big deal about it when they called. Fast forward 6 years and the lump had grown from a marble size to over a golf ball size. It was starting to hurt. Got it taken care of, the gal who got me ready to be put under was very kind, and the surgeons did a great job with their incisions not being noticeable. However the aftermath of their financial department was insane. I went in 3 separate times to pay off the remainder of my bill, and EACH time they told me "looks like you don't owe anything" and I asked why I kept getting this bill, and they said they didn't know. Eventually I found out that yeah, I didn't owe the hospital, but I owed the specialist. I was never told that there would be segregated payments, nor did the contact info on the bill lead to anywhere. I thought going in person would be the best way to resolve it, but no one was helpful

Fantastic experience: Ive been here multiple times for visits and theyre always super helpful during my regular visits. The staff I see regularly are knowledgeable and helpful, and the price with my bad insurance is good. The injectable medication I need is prohibitively expensive through the pharmacy ($2000+) so the doc let's me get it at their cost+the visit (like $60 for a nurse visit, $120 for a doctors visit). Cost is completely reasonable. And that's my usual visits. ER is just as good but different. The short of my ER visit and hospitalization is that it was downright pleasant even though at first I didn't want to be there. I had to go to the ER due to having a suicide plan. They immediately set me in a room with a bed and gave me some good medicine to reduce my psychosis. I didn't like that they took all my stuff and made me change clothes but that's the norm in this situation due to all the things I brought being hazards to hurting myself or someone (items was my meds, wallet, phone, a charger and the clothes had string). It took a long time to get up to the behavioral health unit due to it being a busy night, longer since i couldnt sleep due to being scared, but if I needed to talk there was someone there to listen. The doctor that night (Fleenor) was a calming presence, and besides when he had to go manage other people coming in he was very nice and considerate along with the other ER staff. They didnt make me do anything i didnt want to do, but they gave good suggestions looking back and is how i ended up on the unit cause I was a voluntary patient. The security screening was non-invasive which is good. When I got up to the bhu the clothing given to me was comfortable but was too big in the pants department due to having no string. The staff were super nice and asked things like if I had a preferred name. They let me take as many phone calls as I needed. The schedule up there is nice with the group stuff, although boring. There was no danger at all and it felt like staff were in control. It was very clean in the unit. And like in the ER if I wanted to talk with staff they were always available. The doctors, social workers, etc didn't make you wait super long and they got to every patient. Overall if your having a break in your psyche I recommend this hospital.

Fantastic experience: When I had a stroke, I was taken very good care. Every doctor, nurse, physical therapists and all of the staff at Faith Regional, they were all so good to me. They helped me in every way they could in the 8 days I was there. Thank you to all of the staff.

Negative experience: There are NEW questions in the registration process that are new cms requirements (capturing sex at birth and legal sex) that I find 100% INAPPROPRIATE they ask legal sex, gender identity, sex assigned at birth, and sexual orientation all of which is very personal or uncalled for. They have to ask EVERYONE these questions, even children, we should not be pushing this matter or beliefs on our children and what you sexual orientation or any of those following questions should NOT define you in any way or determine how you are treated in the hospital. This stuff is getting out of hand, and it needs to stop

Negative experience: Care is par, at best. The billing department is absolutely atrocious and has the WORST customer service. No one ever gets back to you in a timely manner, but oh, they’ll expect their payment in FULL or on some stupid payment plan RIGHT AWAY. Reminds me, DON’T go into a payment plan if you can’t pay your outstanding balance in full. They have no desire to help you or work with you in any way. They just want their damn money. They will never receive another cent from me.

Fantastic experience: I had to go into the ER to get stitches. No one likes to be in situations like that but I feel lucky and grateful about the service I received when I got there. Diane RN and her team are extremely good at their job and made the experience as good as it could be. I needed help and I am glad they were there to help me.

Negative experience: Money-hungry place. Charged full amount to “see the specialist” when specialist never came due to snowstorm. Saw PA instead. Bill was $370 for never seeing the doctor. No scans, bloodwork, etc JUST talk. No wonder their reviews are horrible on here.

Negative experience: Kept getting missed calls about my bill with them. which I already had an automatic plan set up and when I would call them back they had no idea who called and why. Well then I tried several different times to change my payment plan and finally talked to someone just to have it not get changed and of course no one in the financial department knew what I was talking about or who I talked to. And after not getting anywhere they sent me to collections. The financial department is a joke.

Negative experience: The ER is a joke. You would think with a 2.6 star rating and the many many horrible reviews directly about the ER, they would take us seriously. My Fiancé was in such horrible pain and the nurse told him to settle down. Are you serious? Beyond disgusted, horrified, and livid. Instead of saying "we appreciate your feedback" maybe you should address these issues with your staff. This isn't the half of our experience, but I doubt you'd take it seriously anyway.

Negative experience: Got to experience the rude nursing staff for dr. Rzouq today when calling to reschedule. Should be ashamed of themselves laughing at people who are sick. Update: Dr Rzouq himself called me to lecture me about having to reschedule. They didn’t even reschedule it. He told me he doesn’t care what I had to say and to let him talk when he was talking way far left field about nothing to do with anything. Language barrier problems? Not my fault he doesn’t understand English so he gets mad.

Negative experience: The ER at Faith Regional is a JOKE. I took my mom in and she was treated absolutely terrible. The PA or nurse or NP (whatever she is) Makayla Garcia was terrible. She talked down to my mom and myself the whole time. I had to ask her to take labs. She told my mom she just had a stomach bug after seeing labs (even tho her WBC was normal. Then she comes back in and states that she read the labs wrong and that my mom had to be admitted. Before admitting her (almost 2 hours later) she ran and drug screen. Why? Nobody knows. My mom was told it’s be awhile before she could be seen after she got out into a room because there was actual emergencies that needed more attention. There’s so much more I want to say but I’d be typing for hours. Don’t go to the ER here!!!!

Negative experience: I had surgery at FRHS where the doctor said he would give medication for pain but didn't. Then after returning home I called the hospital 3 times for help and the only help they would give me was to come back in to the ER. The doctor wasn't notified, so I ended up in the ER. This cost me a lot of extra money, and the hospital wouldn't work with me on the ER cost. This was all out of my hands. The hospital blames the doctor and the doctor blames the hospital. The billing is so messed up by using outside sources who they don't communicate with daily. I made a large payment and had a verbal agreement to pay the balance (which was smaller) the next month, but was sent to collections. After talking to FRHS billing she pulled the collection back after reading the note that we had a verbal agreement to pay the balance the next month. I would give the hospital zero stars, but has to give one star to post.

Negative experience: Seriously I had Covid. I was sick. One of the male nurses grabbed me around the neck. I asked not to be given a medication. They gave it to me anyway. They took my phone for 2 days. It was my only way of communicating with my family. Really. The worst ever.

Negative experience: Billing is terrible. They turned me over to collections saying I didn't pay 3 months in a row. I provided proof I did with my bank statements so they took it back. 2 months later they turn me over to collections again for the same thing, I remind them what occurred before, so they took it back from collections again. This has been nothing but a headache. I've dealt with Fountain Point, Avera, and sunny meadow and not once have I ever encountered such issues like this. There are good doctors at Faith Regional, but this whole experience has me doing all medical issues with Avera. If they can't keep their billing right, what else is being messed up there?

Negative experience: Absolute rude nursing staff I brought my wife there because she was having seizures and all the nurses did was yell at her and tell her to stop essentially telling her she was crazy despite what they say there’s no compassion for people here a joke of a hospital

Negative experience: My son had an emergency hand injury during a baseball game. The ER nurse's and doctors were amazing but I will never seek care here again because of the billing department. I have private insurance and the way It was treated is unexplainable. The billing department and customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They treat you like a number and not like a patient, parent, or human.

Fantastic experience: I went into the ER with acute appendicitis and was checked into a bed within 15 minutes. They scanned me to confirm appendicitis within 45 minutes and then called in a surgical team late on a Friday night to remove the appendix immediately as it was on the verge of rupturing. The surgery went well and although I did have to wait longer than I would've liked to get checked out of my room by the surgeon the next morning I have no complaints. They undoubtedly saved my life. The billing process was a bit slow, but the prices were reasonable. It was an overall great experience.

Negative experience: Worst care! Rather die than go here. My experience with my father hear has been a total joke. One visit they let him fall, broke his hip! Took him going through almost 4 months of pain to finally diagnose his bad gallbladder!

Fantastic experience: The friendliness teams, amazing Hospitality and intentive care made me feel so welcomed and comfortable not to mention the food is amazing, far from "hospital food" I had bilateral pneumonia with one lung infected and they were on top of pain management and so good about asking what makes me more comfortable. All in all amazing hospital.

Negative experience: This emergency room is a joke. They do not do anything to help their elderly patients of the community at all. My mother has been there so many times only to be treated and Street it. How many times do you have to send away the same person before you finally helped them. If this is five star service then I would hate anything less. If this is how you treat the elderly here in Norfolk shame on you. You should be ashamed of yourself Faith Regional do better. A person should not have to go to the hospital several times a month for the exact same thing when it's an easy fix. Do not recommend go somewhere else.

Positive experience: I had knee surgery yesterday and Jessica was not the most knowledgeable nurse. She did not seem to know what she was doing and she blew two of my veins trying to get an IV in. They even had to get another nurse Jill (she was amazing) come in and do it for her. Other wise everything was okay.

Negative experience: Sondra is the worst nurse! She has screamed at me twice now! For no reason! Most Unprofessional woman in all of healthcare. She should NOT be working with the public... She should be employed in a store room, or somewhere that she doesn't have to come into any contact with anyone!

Negative experience: Well not going to Faith Regional for a very long long long time. Went to my primary doctor and they sent me to norfolk to remove a gallstone and norfolk didn't feel there was any need to take out my gallbladder as there was no gallstone even if i have been dealing with GERD/Heartburn for like 6 months. I sat in hospital for 2 days nothing to eat, no answers from doctors as to what the plan of action was.

Negative experience: Worst facility I have ever experienced. 2.8 rating is a compliment. Horrible experience. Drive somewhere else and save their life so Faith Regional doesn’t take it.

Fantastic experience: I received instant, expert help to all my needs. I felt genuine concern from the staff. The hospital also impressed my family in the way it conducted business and interacted with visitors. I must also rave about the bed and pillows for extreme comfort.

Negative experience: I've taken my wife to the er and the nurse and doctor were heartless. It was awhile ago but since then I hope they have improved on being human. Till then we are trying to find a place other than Norfolk in case of emergency. Please dont respond if its gonna be that same copy you tell every other negative reviewer. Save it.

Fantastic experience: While on vacation heading to Montana from N.E. Iowa, I was overcome by chest/abdominal pain. Turned out to be gallstones. My gallbladder was removed. The staff was excellent, attentive and professional. Their follow up with me and my health provider the Mayo Clinic has been spot on. Kudos to all who were involved in my treatment! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: My uncle was a patient here for a number of days, could not have asked for more compassionate, dedicated staff than those caring for him. Negative experience: Took my daughter to ER. Doctor took her temp looked in her ears and told us nothing was wrong. Had to come to Omaha a day later to figure out she had mono. $500+ later. Very unhappy.

Fantastic experience: While visiting a relative we had to take our daughter to the ER. Everyone from the person taking temperatures at the door to the receptionist to the nurses to the doctor were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. Thank you all for your great service!

Positive experience: The treatment I received should get MORE than five stars, The reason my review is only 3’stars is due to the major failure of my discharge experience which resulted in me not receiving the KEY ingredient necessary to complete healing. For whatever reason there was a MAJOR disconnect between the hospital and my local care provider. From my perspective, my local care provider was scrambling to resolve a situation that occurred.

Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if I could. I was pregnant without insurance and was told if I paid the full amount they’d take 20% off, I waited TWO HOURS after my appointment for them to total up my amount and paid in full. 6 months later I got a bill for $700 and called billing and explained that I paid it in full and they told me they would investigate it and not to worry about it. 7 months after that they sent it to collections, never called again or sent another bill after telling me not to worry about it. Hands down worst facility I’ve ever dealt with.

Negative experience: Driving home to ND from a trip to Houston I had to stop in Norfolk NE after becoming very sick during the drive. I found out there was a VA clinic in Norfolk and, being a disabled veteran, I went there first. They determined I was too sick for them to treat me so they told me I'd have to go to the ER at Faith Regional. The VA clinic filled out an authorization form, even though I don't need an authorization to visit an ER outside the VA system because my disability rating is 100% total & permanent, and also included some of my medical records they thought would be helpful. When I checked in at Faith Regional I was assured many times I'd never see a bill because of my VA disability status and because I sought treatment at a VA facility first. Like every other story on here, it was a complete waste to go there because all they did was take some x-rays and blood and then didn't prescribe anything. They didn't even give me a diagnosis, the only thing the PA, who claimed to be a Doctor, told me was that I should get some rest. I left and drove the rest of the way home in misery. That was June 4, 2019. TriWest paid ALL the bills for that visit within 2 weeks. The VA, TriWest, the physician's office and Faith Regional confirmed the bills were paid. This past month a collection agency, MSCB, sent me bills and threatening letters for that ER visit, stating that the hospital and physician never got paid and they claim I owe more than double the original billing amounts. Faith Regional and the physician are probably involved with MSCB in trying to scam myself and other disabled veterans out of our savings. DO NOT TRUST FAITH REGIONAL, THEY ARE HORRIBLE

Negative experience: Horrible experience from the start. Waited in line without anyone asking if we needed immediate assistance. Once we got paperwork filled out it was at least an hour wait to get a room even to see a nurse. I did insist on seeing a nurse who was rude and uncaring. She made it clear she wouldn't be able to evaluate my son so she took his temp and his pulse. People in the waiting room were all upset about the wait time and lack of empathy for anyone. On top of that the billing of Faith Regional Hospital is the worst. Please know that if you have a billing mistake or problem go to your health insurance and ask for a health advocate. The health advocate will work with the hospital on your behalf so you don't have to deal with them directly. We will be going to Columbus or any other place in a vicinity around Norfolk to avoid this place. Do BETTER Norfolk!

Negative experience: I came in experiencing chest congestion with pain and shortness of breath. After 3 hrs and xrays to run up a bill I was told that I had an infection BUT they were NOT going to prescribe any antibiotics or cold meds. I was advised to take Tylenol and let my body fight it. I have been taking Tylenol and trying to let my body fight this for 2 weeks...that was the entire reason for coming to the EMERGENCY room. An entire waste of time. Dont waste your time unless you have a gunshot wound.

Fantastic experience: I'm a long haul trucker from Arizona and these loving people probably saved my life. My pain was so extreme that I was hardly able to concentrate to drive my semi. The emergency room Doctor and Nurse were so gentle and understanding. My health insurance paid most of the bill and these wonderful people let me pay my part monthly over six months. I will never forget the care and kindness these Professionals displayed. May God Bless Them..

Fantastic experience: This is the best facility I've been to. Hands down the most loving and caring staff. Such a phenomenal group of people. It was very clean and up to date. Notable nurses that deserve a raise just off their work ethic and character are Nora, Mikayla, Erica and Dawn. Nothing negative to say except the taxi driver who they called took me an hour and a half in the wrong direction lol but hey it gave me time to reflect on some things. Negative experience: A short ER visit (just over an hour) lead to a $1,200, which turned into a $1,500 bill. I can't even dispute it properly. The bill keeps going up even as I pay it. No one seems to know what's going on in the billing department. I guess that's how they are paying for that new building!

Positive experience: i was in a lot of face pain and couldn't talk. they tried different meds, so of course, for a while it got worse. docs checked in every day. the nurses were very patient, helping me find ways to communicate and in other ways. when i left i felt much better. getting control of pain. appts for follow up. i felt fine with the experience.

Fantastic experience: My husband was brought in by ambulance from an urgent care, being a long distance from home, (an otr driver) they were quick and efficient and explained everything as they did it. Thank you taking care of my husband when I couldn't be with him.

Negative experience: Awful experience! When your not from the area the best thing they can tell you is “ follow up with your primary”.. instead of helping you during an “emergency” like they are there for. Was sent home to pass a kidney stone in severe pain that lead to much more!

Negative experience: RUDE ER Nursing Supervisor. ABSOLUTELY NO customer service skills. I asked if they could possibly deal with an abscess on a jaw or if there was an emergency dental office available to the public in Norfolk. She did not listen to my question and kept saying that she could not give medical advice. I said that I did not want her advice. I just wanted to know if they could see my brother. She then repeated the fact that she could not give medical advice. I called the RN working in ER...she YELLED the same thing at me. She was loud and would not even let me finish my sentence. Seriously, this is how staff treats people? I will take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr Bailey in the morning and they managed to get to me in the same day. There was a little bit of a wait, but as with all surgeons they are very busy. And with being busy usually means they have a poor bedside manner... Not the case, Dr Bailey and the attending Dr who was with him were super nice. They have this amazing way to make patients feel at ease. I honestly have no complaints. I have met with other surgions in the past in the Norfolk area and not only was he very short with me, he did not explain the surgery or the risk. I was having my gallbladder removed. He didn't even come in and see me after the surgery. I noticed a few patients getting upset in the waiting room because they were having to wait a little longer than normal. But one thing most people do not understand about specialist is they are a specialist for a reason, and any "GREAT" one will take the time needed with each patient. I feel that I got the best treatment from Dr, Bailey. I am sorry that I can not remember his attending who was with him. Because he was awesome to. You Both are Rock Stars; Thank you for getting me in on such short notice and for taking the time to do the research needed to figure out what's going on with my foot.
