Positive experience: Not a bad gym. Hoping that they soon replace the ancient cable tower, the one where the pin keeps getting stuck on the weight stack. Other areas they can improve- update & clean the showers and bathroom more often, clean the sauna more often and implement some standards for the sauna. There shouldn’t be 8 people stacked in there with their shoes on. Other than that no complaints

Negative experience: Giving one star so maybe management sees… y’all gotta stop blasting shiet screamo music so loud I can’t hear my music through my noise cancelling headphones. Ok fine you have bad music taste but why are you making it everyone else’s problem. And pls stay open later on the weekends

Positive experience: Awesome gym with great equipment and atmosphere. However, there’s a trainer here who is prone to incessant whistling which usually distracts from the workouts. Headphones are no match to the whistling. Otherwise a great place to get all your fitness needs.

Fantastic experience: Peerless fitness site for all/many, notably those ' seriosos ' ° ° Espec' due to the double locations, Somerset +/ Mercer Counties, respectively. No cheapo. (I went out on a limb a bit - -woops; usage of some Spanish.)

Fantastic experience: Update: The recent renovations have been terrific - updating the review. Excellent gym at a great price. I like the communal feeling and the turf area a lot. The fact that they have competition kettlebells is the main reason I am a member here. I would love to give a 5 star, but I have a few critiques: 1) The paper towel dispenser in the men's room is often empty or not working. I expect better. 2) Quite a few of the locker door latches get jammed in the up position. Creates a frustrating experience operating them. 3) A lot of the equipment is crammed together. "Less is more" can apply here and I wish the turf area was larger like the one in the Princeton location. 4) Like most people, I usually have my headphones on. But the music played in the gym should be music that hypes you up. Instead, a lot of the music played is easygoing pop music.

Positive experience: Love this gym! Can get a bit crowded especially in the afternoon, but all around great local gym.

Fantastic experience: I recently was visiting my family in Hillsborough and visited the Next Fit club there. This place effortlessly marries the sleek, contemporary design of a modern gym with the timeless charm of old-style iron plates, and the result is nothing short of extraordinary. The equipment is second to none, featuring the latest in fitness technology, from treadmills to cutting-edge weight machines. However, what truly sets this gym apart is its collection of classic iron plates, dumbbells, and barbells.The clinking of iron plates is inspiring and encouraging. Even if you forget your headphones, the music is upbeat and helps you push weights. My only remark is that the place could use some more natural light.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely top-notch gym overall and perfect for people who need to have a deadlifting platform as well as all the other advanced equipment you’ll see here. Great staff.

Fantastic experience: One the best gyms I’ve been too in a long time !! I use the Princeton location and it’s my fav because it’s very private. I go in the morning and I could count the people that are there in one hand. And good people too…staff are very friendly and helpful. The Hillsborogh location I at times go on Thursday morning….now if you want a gym that has it all…nextfit Hillsborogh is it. Anything you could expect in a workout facility they have. They offer a 30 membership I did before I was hooked !!! Don’t believe me…come see for yourself!! And if you are a group person…LeeAnn is ya gal !!!!!

Negative experience: I went here for a couple months. 54$ a month is crazy for the little amount they have. It’s always packed. Weights are old. Small gym. Very pricey. Not a good place to go

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. They don't care about their customers at all. We canceled the services and two weeks later they charged us another full month of membership. The 30-days they mention are actually up to 60 days. They don't explain why the rules are like that and have the courage to say that this is standard and was written in the "small letters in the contract", which basically means it is simply a way the use to make more money. On top of that, they could not care less about customer's opinions and are not willing to receive feedback. Also, it is probably written in small letters somewhere that they can cancel classes whenever they want, because that happened very very often.

Negative experience: They charged me after 30 days I canceled the plan and refused to issue a refund. Customer service not friendly.

Fantastic experience: I loved this gym. Was there for 2-3 years and only left because of re locating. If you like small/community like gym, clean, affordable, with the best equipment and nice people then this is the place for you. I originally wanted to join and do classes but instead I got a temporary trainer and then decided that the Classes looked full in the space they had and just enjoyed all the equipment instead. With the space they have they use it well. I don't like gigantic gyms- gets over whelming. I loved going to this nextfit community. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: It’s only been 30 days since I started going to Next Fit and it has been a better experience than the other gyms I’ve been to. It’s clean, organized, and very welcoming. My personal trainer Laura has been amazing at helping me become more confident with using gym equipment and reach my personal goals. She even gives great recipes and examples for nutrition. The front desk staff have been amazing at re-racking weights, keeping the gym clean, and always having a positive attitude when greeting guests. The classes are a lot of fun and motivating. Even if you are a beginner or injured, you can customize it to your level. They have different membership packages suited for your gym goals and they are all reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend this gym over any other chain gym.

Fantastic experience: Next Fit Clubs is easily the best gym I have ever been a member of! They have a ton of equipment that is good for every type of gym goer. Anything from a treadmill, to a rower, to a functional fitness turf, you name it - they have it! This gym has wonderful friendly staff members (Joey & Max) and is always kept so clean! I am a proud member of Next and will continue to be!

Fantastic experience: Shout out to everyone at Next Fit Clubs of Hillsborough. Through the entire pandemic they have been an inspiration. Maintaining an enthusiastic upbeat disposition (even while having to wear masks) while still being professional they have been nonstop support and motivator to still work out…and enjoy it. They have slowly added back classes and changed some bringing new life and new members to be a part of them. The trainers are very knowledgeable, friendly and push you to do YOUR best. Through everything the gym has proved to maintain a clean atmosphere with a cleaning crew I see there very often and a plentiful supply of wipes and cleaning spray so members can wipe things down after every use of a machine or dumbbell. They have been a model of cleanliness. if there were more hours in a day, I am sure I would spend more time at the gym. So, everyone at Next give yourselves a pat on the back for a job well done. Thank you for all of your work!

Fantastic experience: I have to tell you I Love this gym especailly during the week. The gym isn't the biggest but it has great equipment and your not waiting to use it. The upper level of the gym is filled with cardio equipment, they have the main equipment room in addition to this plus two more rooms for ab work and dance studio thingy. There is a great community buzz here and like I said it's no to crowded. Well worth a visit.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. Incredible lack of professionalism and self awareness on behalf of the manager, Danielle. I brought my mother with me to sign up for a year membership. We spoke with Jess at the front desk who was lovely and very sweet. After completing payment, my mother wanted to look at the locker rooms and began walking that direction. Simultaneously Jess asked for me to point out where on the computer the family rate i would be paying was located. I quickly popped around the desk to show her and immediately heard yelling from the lifting area. Danielle essentially ran over to the desk to reprimand me for going behind the desk, shouting the entire time. Despite working at the Next Princeton location for four months, I realize she didn’t recognize me. So I apologized and turned back to the front desk. Danielle proceeded to come up and put her hands on me to turn me around and point out the security camera on the wall. Regardless of the circumstance, I believe it is always inappropriate for anyone to put their hands on another person. But this I could almost brush off if it wasn’t coupled with absolutely ridiculous and hostile behavior towards my mother. Before coming to chastise me, Danielle stopped to shout at my mother for not wearing a mask (no one in the gym was wearing a mask, staff included). Danielle snapped at my mother saying she needed to be a member to walk around without a mask on. My mother explained that she had just bought a membership to which Danielle quickly replied “well I’ve never seen you before and you don’t look familiar.” My mother turned to Jess at the front desk and asked her to confirm that she had in fact paid for a membership. Danielle did not apologize or change her tone and just insisted that she hadn’t been shouting when aggressively interacting with both my mother and me. Insane interaction and I cannot believe that is who this business chooses as its agent to interact with the public. Needless to say my mother told Jess to cancel and refund both memberships and we have yet to see that happen, it’s been over a week. Save your money, go to a retro or planet fitness. This place is awful.

Fantastic experience: This place is like a little family the owner chill it helped me get back on track with my health and I had a very awesome trainer named Caroline Sparno and the other trainers are awesome at what they do Next Fits Clubs it is a gym I would recommend to people

Fantastic experience: NexT made returning to the gym post-pandemic easy. The gym is always very clean, and there are plenty of measures in place to keep members safe. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. I've enjoyed some small-group training classes, and worked 1:1 with a trainer, Caroline :), since returning. I've seen amazing progress in my technique and strength goals. NexT is a motivated community I am thankful to be a part of.

Fantastic experience: The team at NexT is incredible. I have been out of the gym due to the pandemic and have recently have been going back. The trainers are so friendly and welcoming. The gym can be such an intimidating place especially when you’ve been out for a while. I’m excited to get back to such a wonderful place!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVE next. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely inclusive. No matter what your fitness level or experience, they make you feel comfortable and welcomed. There’s something for everyone there! After the restrictions lifted and gyms opened up, I felt extremely safe being at Next. It’s clean, sanitized, and comfortably spaced to ensure social Distancing.

Fantastic experience: To reopen the gym during pandemic is not always easy, the management and staff have done an excellent job of getting through as best as we can by maintaining the premises clean and instituted the protocols at both the locations, Hillsborough and Princeton. Staff and the Members in the community have responded well to follow the guidelines at both locations to ensure the safety of everyone and were cognizant of the happenings. Great job ! I also want to thank Jamie, trainer for challenging me and pushing me just a bit further every time. I’ve achieved more than I thought was possible.

Fantastic experience: I am thrilled with the holistic approach that NexT Fit has with respect to training, personal development and nutritional balance. There is a vibe that trying and striving to get better is more important than the results, and I really appreciate that. I've re-committed myself this year and have worked closely with Jamie Susino to help me take agency for my health. I could not ask for a better coach overall, she is enthusiastic, smart, super inspiring and always ready to adjust my plans as needed when I need to. I love NexT Fit and encourage anyone who is nervous or not yet sure if they want to try it, to give it a go, you will not be disappointed!

Positive experience: Loved this gym during the week I was here. Not too big but it has everything and they make it fit well. The equipment does feel a little crammed but not too much either and it’s not super new but not too old either. The upper level is full of cardio equipment and besides the main equipment room they also have two more rooms for abs and a dance-style studio. It feels very communal and most importantly it’s not too crowded (though we are in covid times so I can’t speak for normal times). I would recommend checking it out.

Fantastic experience: This gym is great. Best gym I have ever been to and I have been lifting at various gyms for about 11 years. All of the machines are in top notch shape and rarely broken. They have a great variety of machines and free weights. I love the old school iron dumbbells and plates. The place is rarely crowded which is a rarity for a gym now a days. It’s clean. The only downside is the locker rooms could use a little facelift but other then that. Great place. Friendly staff that will greet you by name and get to know you personally. Awesome job being and awesome gym!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to NexT Fit Clubs close to two years and I am so thankful I signed up for the Small Group Training and personal training sessions. The vibe is positive and uplifting with an emphasis on being strong, mindful and healthy. If I am not able to attend a small group training class, I am glad I have a gym full of different equipment to utilize. As a mom of two daughters with a husband that works crazy hours, there are many times I benefit from the great day care. The day care ladies are wonderful!

Fantastic experience: NextFit got me off the couch! the 40 day challenge and my PT sessions with Leeann were just the right motivation i needed. Its been over a year now and there is no looking back. The PT sessions were among the best i have had. Leeann went above and beyond to help me get out of my slump

Fantastic experience: I was not an avid, fitness enthusiast. I found going to the gym and using equipment intimidating. I started Group Training classes at Next and found a great way to work out! The trainers make you feel comfortable, explain all the movements and exercises, and encourage you- even when you're a beginner. I'm so happy to find a place where I can get healthy and also have fun.

Positive experience: This is the best gym in Hillsborough. It's affordable and has lots of options for working out. I love the classes, especially Zumba and Boot Camp.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking their small group training classes & personal training with Jamie since November 2017. I am very happy with my results. The trainers keep you accountable and are friendly. The facility is clean and they have daycare if you have children! I definitely recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say how much I appreciate and love the Next Small Group Training Classes! A year and a half after having my first child via c-section I started personal training with Tony for four months (Sept-Dec 2015) before getting pregnant with my second child. In those four months I felt so much stronger and noticed a big difference in my muscle tone. From January to September of 2016 I only engaged in light cardio and 5 lb dumbbells for arm work. Again, I had c-section and was not able to work out or lift anything above 8-10 pounds for 8 weeks. In December of 2016 I was able to begin working out. I met with Tony and he encouraged me to try the Small Group Training; I was very skeptical because I felt I was so out of shape and thought the classes would be too difficult for me. When Next came out with the 40 Day Challenge for $149, I thought what do I have to lose. It was not a big investment, if I could not handle the classes, no great loss. I am so incredibly happy I gave it a try! I love the classes and I have gained a lot of strength. My energy level has increased and I just feel great. An even bigger bonus is that my pre-children jeans fit!! (I weigh less than when I got pregnant with my first child.) I have attended classes with Ryan, LeeAnn and Dmitriy. They are all amazing trainers and I am grateful for their instruction and encouragement. I could not have gained so much in such a short time without them. I appreciate the incredible staff and enjoy the recent improvements to the facility. I am a very happy Next client.

Fantastic experience: Amazing improvements over the last year - new yoga studio, new 2nd level cardio equipment, new personal fitness training area, great group instruction offerings at convenient times, super friendly staff... Hats off to the new management team. Great job !

Positive experience: I tried out the Zumba class... instructor is Chrissy.. she was very energetic and full of life.. the workout was for an hour.. complete workout of the abs, core, squats, cardio.. by the end of the hour i was all sweaty but felt very good.. Chrissy is very good, makes it fun to workout.. waiting to go for more classes

Fantastic experience: I have been a member here since 1997. The new ownership is committed to a very personal experience. There is a plan in place to upgrade the entire gym in the next few months. The best part of this gym is the staff! Everyone from the front desk staff to expert trainers have a common goal....Make training there fun !

Positive experience: Owner decided to put standing kicking bags in workout room where it is all women. When confronted he basically said,"if u don't like it, don't take the classes." Great way to run a business. Tried to change arguement and blame instructor. The room is small to begin with.

Fantastic experience: Great gym for full workouts including plenty of free weights, smith machines, cardio machines and classes. I have been going here for 7 years. The members are very considerate and the gym is very clean. The locker room has suana too. If you cannot workout here than you cannot workout anywhere. Plenty of parking.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of this gym for years. It has all the equipment needed for both cardio and strength training and it's all in good working order. They also have a variety of classes to offer if that is what you're into. About 6 months ago it went under new management and has been improving ever since. They are actually in the process of revamping the whole inside. It's very clean and the staff is super friendly! Always a plus!
