The Point of Health Wellness Center - Atlanta Ga

Fantastic experience: In 2003, I began experiencing pain in the top of my left foot. I spent 6 months going to a chiropractor, at $50/visit (co-pay). He did X-rays, put me in a boot, gave me injections, had me try CBD cream - nothing helped. I decided to try acupuncture. After my first visit to Point of Health, my foot pain was 70% better. I came in for a second treatment the following week and was 100% pain-free afterwards. Fast-forward to now…I recently began experiencing the same symptoms in my right foot. I came back into the facility, had one treatment, and I am now 100% pain-free in my right foot as well!!

Fantastic experience: The experience is worth every penny. Staff was so sweet and Dr. B is extremely patient and determined to figure out your problem areas. I came in with an annoying headache and left feeling so relaxed. I probably shouldn’t leave this awesome of a review because yall keep taking all the slots. But that’s just how good they are.

Fantastic experience: Forming a partnership with Dr. Brittany has been one of the best decisions I could have made for my health! Not only did her techniques quickly help to eliminate the crawling numbness in my legs, working with her has helped to diminish various aches and pains, decrease chronic sinus issues , and also helped manage a few perimenopausal issues. She takes the time to get to know me as a person and creates the best plan to balance my body for better performance. Her pleasant bedside manner, personality, and staff are a plus!

Fantastic experience: First, I’d like to preface this review stating that I’ve done acupuncture before, and while it was “effective”, it didn’t hold a candle to my experience at Point of Health Wellness. What really sets this practice apart for me was the education portion. It’s evident that Dr. Brittany is an expert of the field from her explanation of her diagnostic technique. She took the time to thoroughly evaluate me prior to administering the treatment. I didn’t feel rushed at any point. I’ve never been walked through an acupuncture treatment in such detail. I really felt like she knew exactly what she was doing. Eastern medicine is not as common of a practice in the US, so it really reaffirmed the science behind the technique for me. The treatment itself was top-tier. The treatment room was quiet, dimly and cozily lit using warm light from salt lamps and heating lamps. It was a real relaxing vibe with calming music, crystals and essential oil diffuser. The treatment table was heated. It was the most relaxing 20 minutes…I didn’t want it to end. Dr. Brittany’s administration of the needles was COMPLETELY painless and precise. I could tell immediately that the treatment was working from the sensations I felt at the point of insertion. After effects of 1st treatment: deep and restful sleep, noticeably increased energy levels and focus. I was very impressed with my experience at The Point of Health. I’m really looking forward to the acu-reiki treatment.

Negative experience: Good day ladies and gentlemen… I have been coming to this place for about a year now. I would like to share the lack of communication about how much you will be charged for the late cancellation (when there is communication about a situation) is unethical… I shared a time would not work but was willing to come another time that was open…. Oh yeah there was earlier time (10am) a lot available and I was not even offered the opportunity to be accommodate. Loyalty is royalty in business and I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN. Move. forward at your own risk ⚠️. P.S. They charged my card before my 10:40am appointment around 9:49am… at least be honest about me being considered a no show.

After undergoing a myomectomy for fibroids back in 2021, I was told that my AMH was very low for my age. I was so discouraged until I met Dr.B. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient of Dr. Woodard-Hampton for a few months, and love her holistic approach to healing. In addition to acupuncture, I was provided with valuable insights on dietary changes and herbal supplements that complemented the treatment, enhancing its effectiveness. From day one, I was treated like a person and not a patient chart. I was initially seeking treatment for sciatica pain, but discovered some underlying issues during my evaluation. Dr. Woodard-Hampton took the time to thoroughly understand my medical history and current concerns before proceeding, and created a personalized treatment plan to cover all my aliments and concerns. After just a few sessions I noticed significant improvements in my condition. Not only did my physical symptoms diminish, but I also experienced a sense of balance and well-being that I hadn't felt in a long time. Fantastic experience: I was not expecting the wealth of knowledge and insight I received from Dr. Brittany. I'm excited to finally be getting down to root cases instead of just treating symptoms. On that note, I've had GI issues for a while now and mu stomach is usually tender to touch. For that tenderness to be completely gone by the end of the session astounded me. I love the time she took to explain what she was doing and why. And as far as the needles went, I barely felt them and the heat lamps they use made the whole experience very comfortable. Fantastic experience: Dr. Brittany is kind, thorough, professional, inviting, and made the experience of a first acupuncture visit a breeze for someone initially anxious about needles(MAGIC). After seeing her on and off few the past few months (only because my schedule didn't allow for regular weekly sessions) my sleep schedule has been regulated (it is now a rare occurrence that I wake up between 1:30am and 3:30am; that was initially a nightly issue) and my UC symptoms have been reduced drastically (was having serious flare-up issues even on my medication). To top it off, the stress reduction is apparent and immediate starting at the visit itself: the comfortable chairs, the heat lamps, the soft music and water sounds playing in the background... so relaxing it's work to get up the motivation to get back out into traffic to make the drive home. And Ce'Nae is great: removes needles with utmost care, ensures that appointments are booked and good to inform of opportunities for related events or discounts for your birthday. In short, this clinic is awesome and highly recommended!

Negative experience: Day1: November 2022 -Hands down 10 thumbs up best acupuncture experience in my 10 years of holistic treatment. Dr. Woodard listened to my concerns, and provided immediate relief with sciatica, inflammation and pain in my FIRST visit, looking forward to my next session Present day: May 2023- Actually, I have to take my previous review back because that was the first appointment now that my referral ran out with the VA the office did not do everything in their power to help me get my appointments in a timely manner. Instead, I received an attitude from Miss Kendrick, the receptionist Saying “oh that’s not how we do things”. At this point I’m confused because there’s an open appointment slot; you have an opening next day and my insurance will cover it, so I am no longer happy with this facility, and will be looking for a new acupuncturist to help me with my health. Myself and the insurance tried calling the point of health and wellness to schedule the appointment and had to answer the phone. I would have gotten that same appointment available, but since they did not answer the phone at that same moment, I had to call once my insurance hung up, and I was able to get through and found an opening that I provided the same information to my insurance with the authorization number. This office is causing me to have to start over with my Acupuncture referral that I had waited since December 4 and Miss Kendra decided to cancel it and now I have to start over with my primary care provider. Thank you Miss Kendra for your great not so great customer service..

Fantastic experience: I wish I had known about the fantastic effects of eastern medicine and acupuncture long ago. After a few months, my anxiety has become much more manageable, my need to drink has severely lessened, and my extremities are no longer in pain when the temperature drops, among other things. I was able to come off my antidepressant. I worked with Dr. Washington and Dr. Woodard, who make you feel at ease; they are straightforward, thorough with their explanations, and patient. When traditional medicine has failed me over many years (misdiagnosis, incorrect treatment, no holistic views, etc), Dr Woodard stepped in and gave me a full holistic assessment. Within 2 visits I understood more about my condition, root cause, and treatment plan than I have in the past 5 years with other Doctors. Fantastic experience: This year, I was made aware that the VA had started offering acupuncture service to veterans. The first acupuncture treatment I had ever experienced, years ago, the doctor stated to me that “God created our bodies to self-heal. That’s has stuck with me ever since. So my introduction to “The Point of Health Wellness Center” (PHWC) and Dr. Brittany Woodard-Hampton. They say timing is everything, which was the case for me. Because of my work schedule and PHWC next availability date, my first appointment there was going to be three weeks away. Still I was excited starting acupuncture again with the VA now paying instead of me. I had been naive regarding the acupuncture industry thinking that it was primarily done by Asians… I pray for forgiveness. I had set this examination and treatment up for my lower back and both knees. Probably a week after setting the appointment I started dealing with intense foot pain from my old Planters Fasciitis surgery. Walking had become difficult and as a result I scheduled an appointment with my old foot specialist which was going to be 3 days after my first acupuncture treatment with PHWC. Now at my first appointment at PHWC in walks Dr. Woodard-Hampton, needless to say she wasn’t Asian. She was this huge smile, amazing personality, very detail, and informative of the science of acupuncture. Not only did she treat my back and knees, she also treated this foot that had me laboring. Again timing is everything, by the time of my foot specialist appointment, days later, my pain had all but gone. I was able to walk with minor issues no longer the extremes that I had endured. His initial solution was surgery but with it possible nerve damage due to that procedure. I shared with him, my foot specialist, that I had recently done acupuncture and the pain had gone and I was walking again in comfort. I was shocked when my foot specialist stated he too believe in acupuncture and suggested I continue with this treatment over surgery. I’m at my 4th week receiving treatment at PHWC by Dr. Woodard-Hampton. My ailments have gotten better with each visit. The doctor has been the same person in week 4 as she was in week 1. I have referred several people over the weeks to their service, I even went to the grand opening on their new location. This is truly top-notch service.

She suggested that she perform acupuncture for grief, I agreed. Listen!!!! The next day I felt like a new person! Fantastic experience: Dr Woodard is AMAZING!!!! I've wanted to try acupuncture for a while and specifically wanted someone who I felt could relate to me as woman and I was not disappointed. I am on a natural journey to shrink uterine fibroids and came across Dr Woodard from a google search. I called her office and she promptly personally returned my call and answered any questions I had. She did a very thorough assessment at my first appointment and was able target and address more than my original concern. Fantastic experience: Whether you are a believer in alternative medicine and acupuncture or a bit skeptical but want relief, Dr. Woodard is definitely worth the try! I live a pretty healthy lifestyle, but had some digestive issues and random back pain that my primary care doctor had no answers for (despite tests) and gave me prescriptions for the discomfort but nothing to get to the root cause. Dr. Woodard was interested in all my feelings, physical and emotional, and even drew a connection between the recent loss of my mother to my digestive issues. I appreciate how she explains her thought process and answered ALL of my questions (even why she was placing a needle in a certain spot). She was creative and thorough throughout my treatment and after 9 sessions, my digestive issues are minimal and my back pain is completely gone. I am continuing to visit in order to gain optimal health. In short: She is great and personable, its not painful, maybe just a little uncomfortable for a second, it is truly holistic care, and i saw results. Their COVID procedures are also very comforting (its super clean, you must take your shoes off, they call you in when ready, and temperature is taken) and I felt very safe.

While maintaining absolute professionalism, she has the ability to engage and connect with a patient in a way that shows she personally cares to see your improvement and satisfaction with the services she is providing. Prior to Dr Woodard I have had accupuncture done for approximately 6 years, trying 3 different practitioners. There tends to be some bias towards choosing a chinese doctor, since after all, this is related to chinese medicine BUT Dr Woodard was the most thorough, wholistic, and knowledgeable doctor I have ever experienced to date. Her ability to first assess a patient mentally, emotionally and physically - informs her treatment choices. I really like that because I am a whole person - not just the pain in the arm or leg, etc. Additionally she speaks very comfortably and fluently about what she is doing, the expected results and alternatives to treatment as well. This shows me she is well educated in her craft! Besides the fact that she treated my concerns (insomnia, knee weakness, wrist pain and headaches) within 3 to 5 visits, the AccuGraph was just over the top! No doctor took the time to explain the basics of energy flows, ear reading, what the needles are doing, and more. They just treated whatever I said was the issue. Dr Woodard removes the personal subjectivity and treated me for what my body was saying it needed. Scheduling is super easy. She also sends helpful reminders and follow-ups. I have never had an issue trying to contact her, so she is accessible to patients when needed. The space is serene and always meticulously clean when I arrive. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for accupuncture services.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Brittany is an acupuncture healing angel. I am on my 5th appointment and well on the way to recovering from low back pain and sciatica that has challenged me for YEARS! After my second visit my pain level went from 8 to 2 and stayed that way for several days. Fantastic experience: This was the first time I received a service since COVID. Upon arrival, all precautions were taken to reinforce the safety of the business and the patient. The space is calming and clean with good energy. Brittany was friendly and so knowledgeable about her craft. Not only that she took her time to patiently answer any and all of my questions. Fantastic experience: I am extremely grateful for Brittany Woodard expertise, support and quality of service she provided me with. I started to get acupuncture sessions with her in November to get my body ready to conceive. She did a very clear examination to establish a healing/strengthening strategy. I forgot to tell her that I had been diagnosed with Adenomyosis a few months prior but one of the first thing she found was that my uterus was inflamed. She said: « there is no way you can conceive with this inflammation ». I definitely gained a lot of trust about her knowledge from there! Not only she provided me with acupuncture session but also with herbal medicine and food. I followed everything she advised and I am happy to share that I am 10 weeks pregnant now!! Fantastic experience: I actually was supposed to work with Dr. Brittany at another facility but the owner of that location chose to call me one day to say that I did not have an appointment and would purposely cancel someone else's appointment so I can be seen. When I questioned this she became very rude and laughing at my concern. So I informed Dr. Brittany I would no longer be coming to her for acupuncture assistance. But Dr. Brittany called me immediately to apologize for the owner of that facility in Decatur and suggested other locations she brings her business to if that worked better for me. She went out of her way to put me at ease and though she was not supposed to be in East Point she promised to make the trip for me. So I drove the 45 minutes to her and not only is the facility beautiful but the owner of this new facility, Rachel, is the sweetest human being I have ever met. With prior spinal issues and now being pregnant she has helped me with blockages, spasms, numbness, headaches and dizziness. I love Dr. Brittany and all that she has done to assist me; I would travel anywhere for her help. :)

Fantastic experience: I started going to Brittany a couple months ago. I had done a few acupuncture treatments in the past so was familiar with having the treatment. But her process is AMAZING! She has a wealth of knowledge and ensures she shares it with you. She took the time to discuss my concerns upfront, did a diagnostic to make sure she was treating the proper areas (conforming what I mentioned as well as sometimes identifying other areas of focus), and walking me through each needle (why she was putting there and what it was treating). It’s one thing to know it works but it takes it to another level to know why it’s working and how my body works to heal itself. Recently I went into her office for my standard issues and a little congestion (I thought it was sinuses) and Brittany did her diagnostic and was like “no, you are getting a cold.” Sure enough that’s what it was. She treated me for the cold and and gave me some types in teas to drink to help ease the symptoms and get rid of the cold faster. I definitely didn’t feel the symptoms as badly as I have in the past. When I went back I was suffering from laryngitis and the tailend of the cold. She focuses specifically on my immune system that session and within a few hours of the session my voice was returning. By that evening it was almost back to normal. I have recommended Brittany to all my friends that suffer a variety of ailments from migraines to pain to anxiety. Her warm spirit and energy as well as her passion for holistic healing keeps me coming back. If you see Brittany you won’t want to go anywhere else.
