Fantastic experience: I starting looking for a gym to get my muscle tone back and firm my body up to improve my appearance. I visited several gyms in the Heath and Newark area a couple months ago. I finally settled in on Maximum Fitness Center. This facility by far exceeds equipment availability Compared to any other fitness center in the area. The total facility is huge and is laid out in the category of equipment you are looking for in 4 different very large rooms. The facility is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I can promise you if your looking for a quality Fitness Center and want a facility that gives you so much for your money ,then visit Maximum Fitness Center and I am sure you will agree with my evaluation .

The woman at the front desk help me feel even more comfortable with her answering all my questions and then some! I truly believe I'm gonna really like this gym and just appreciate the top tier equipment they have wall to wall. I'd refer this gym to anyone who's serious about "putting in the work".

Fantastic experience: Best gym in Ohio. Old school feel with a modern twist. The only gym I’ve ever seen with an old plate loaded pull over machine. Bryn is always polite and helpful from behind the desk. The only complaint I have ever had barely worth mentioning is that the kettlebells only go up to 50lbs and the dumbbells in the performance zone are sitting on top of the tallest platform so I have to stack the smaller ones to do box jumps. 5 stars.

Positive experience: Love this gym! The best if ever been to and I’ve been to a lot over the years. Very clean, the equipment is super stout, well maintained, with a good variety to work every muscle. Aerobic and cardio equipment is also a good variety. This a gym for those that are serious about working out…and just want to focus on good solid routine without feeling like it’s “social hour.” Most people who attend have that same mentality. My only criticism is….there is a group of about 8-10 females who are professionally led by trainers on M-W-F during peak hours who seem to get preferential treatment and hoard the machines wether you may be in the middle of your own personal workout or not. There is a sense of annoyance by gym members whenever they enter the “space” because you just know you’re going to get booted off a machine or run out of the area.

Fantastic experience: I love Max Fitness. John's there at the front desk to say hi when I come in and have a good night when I leave and is always friendly. The place is always spotless, the temperature is pleasant, the machines are in good working order. All the cardio machines have TV. What more could you want? A great place!

Negative experience: Seems like a really nice and clean facility, but the Fitness Director is difficult to get into contact with. I emailed him and never got a response. Waited about a week or two and then went in person to seek him out. He was busy training so I left a note. Still didn't hear back. Called a week later to see if I could set up an appointment with a different personal trainer since they have several. I was told I'd need to see the Fitness Director to do that as he oversees the personal trainers' schedules. That is the same person who I was initially trying to talk to. They took my name and phone number over the phone. I waited another week before I ultimately decided cancel my membership because it just doesn't sound like they really care at all based on my experience. If you're looking for a place to work out and are going to plan your workouts yourself, might be a good place, but their membership is a tad expensive. But if you're interested in a personal trainer creating a workout program for you to do on your own, just don't. Also, fair to add that I wasn't given a hard time when I went in to cancel my membership, since they do make it possible for you to do so online.

Fantastic experience: I have been to various gyms across the country and this is one of the best I've seen. It has a comprehensive selection of equipment with plenty of duplicates for more popular exercises. The facility is big and clean, well ventilated with a thoughtful layout. The staff was very helpful. Well done maximum fitness!

Negative experience: Wish I could give a lower star!! Keep trying to get a hold of management and keep getting told “ they aren’t in” or “call around this time” and they are still never there! Don’t know how they magically keep disappearing. Horrible customer service!!! All for taking money but don’t wanna deal with issues. Disappointed and disgusted!!

Fantastic experience: Have been a member for almost a year & absolutely love it. Very clean, spacious, with newer equipment. Great variety of machines, free weights, & fitness accessories. Lots of room to work out. Nice variety of classes. The owners take good care of the building w roofing having just been completed. Clean & spacious locker rooms. Nice that they offer the Fit Scan 3D! Friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommend Kristin for personal training!

Fantastic experience: My favorite gym! People aren’t taking on their cell phones on the cardio equipment and no rude youngsters jumping on the equipment your on. People here are serious about their workouts and the equipment is top line. Good music and friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: This place is GREAT! All new equipment, clean locker rooms, and extremely friendly staff. As others have said, this place is BIG, plenty of room to have a great workout, even at peak hours. Could not believe the membership is so cheap!
