Fantastic experience: First time trying acupuncture. I am treated with respect. They remember my name. They make sure everything is clean and handled carefully with care to how the patient feels about the experience. Especially for newbies. It's practically painless. They check in with the patient before each visit on how you felt after the last session. They provide knowledge and good conversation. You are than left to rest, and even fall asleep if you feel so. The staff is organized and on top of it. There is excellent communication even when changes need to happen. I was recommended to this place after a car accident. Fantastic experience: I been doing acupuncture since 2011, my Doctor retired last year, and I was lost, I had seen an article in the paper about Pivot Acupuncture, but they were too far for me, so I went to another clinic but wasn't impressed, I found that Pivot had moved to Fairfield, and was excited to check them out, to my surprise Dr. Shawne exceeded my expectations, she has helped me with my stoke recovery, some surgery scarring, my sinus, and just my well-being. Negative experience: Today I attempted to get some relief from pain by calling pivot Acupunture in Fairfield. I was told they were a community Acupunture with a sliding scale and after 15 minutes on the phone with her, giving her all my information I find out that they're sliding scale starts at $90 Ninety dollars to a hundred and twenty. What the hell I moved here from Chico California where the sliding scale is $30-$80 at chico community Acupunture what a waste of my time and I'm in such severe pain and they told me they couldn't even see me that I had to fill out a bunch of paperwork and , I told her I'm in a lot of pain right now. I didn't go any further - no point. -. I'm on Social Security ,$661.00 monthly, so there's no way I could give them one sixth of my monthly allotment per appointment disappointing very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: I have been seeking acupuncture and cupping therapy for my chronically bad back, shoulder pain, Achilles tendon … just all the areas which aren’t spirited-toddler proof. I am feeling so much better, even though I might not be the most punctual patient. I am continuing my sessions not because I’m in constant pain but for I overkill myself to compensate for everything I was struggling to do for a long time before seeking therapy before one or the other problem area goes out again. Dr. Shawne offers specialty therapy, but she happens to be a natural mental health champion. I cherish speaking with her. Vani is sweet, thorough and extremely detail oriented. Miss an appointment? Got issues? Not on Sara’s watch! Jalen was under training when I came here for the first time but you got to watch how the girl rolls. The staff is lovely, young and so alive. P. S. The lobby has Bridgertonesque music playing so even waiting is nice on the ears.

Fantastic experience: I found Pivot Acupuncture and Dr. Shawne through the recommendation of L.Ac Wanda Dabkoska at the Kokoro Clinic in Oakland - and I'm so so glad I did! As a professional singer who developed vocal nodules, I was in a stressful and fearful conundrum. I heard from a friend that acupuncture and Chinese medicine could really help. While I was familiar with acupuncture in the past to help me battle issues like bruxism, migraines, and general stress with much success, I wasn't as familiar with Chinese herbology and was lucky to have met Wanda who pointed me in the right direction to find a practitioner who is familiar with vocal pathologies. Enter Dr. Shawne. Dr. Shawne and her team of professionals are the real deal. Despite living 40 minutes away in Oakland, I committed to making the trek to Fairfield and I'm so glad I did. Upon my initial intake, Dr. Shawne and her team provided a comforting environment and experience. Dr. Shawne reassured me that she was familiar with working with singers who have had vocal nodules and opened my eyes to how stress among other factors can play a big role in vocal health - as well as how acupuncture and specifically Chinese herbs can help. I started my treatment with her the same day and received my first batch of customized Chinese herbs the following week. After my two weeks seeing Dr. Shawne and first week of my herbal regimen, I noticed that my energy levels increased and my stress had gone down substantially. Plus, the Chinese herbs tasted great and I could tell my body was responding really well. Within just 3 weeks of weekly treatments and 2 weeks of daily Chinese herbs, I went to see an ENT surgeon with my speech therapist at Kaiser. Much to our surprise, my vocal folds were no longer inflamed and the nodules were almost completely healed. The Kaiser doctors delightedly asked, "What have you been doing? How did this happen?" I replied that I had been practicing my speech therapy daily, but largely, I accredited this near miracle healing to Dr. Shawne and her team. My speech therapist was convinced that my nodules might have developed into hardened polyps before this check up, so seeing this massive change was a real blessing. No lie, I am forever changed by this experience. I am convinced that Chinese medicine is filled with ancient wisdom and can help so so many of our modern ailments. My acupuncture treatments have really helped with my chronic neck and back pain as well as my headaches. I didn’t think that acupuncture would be able to help my chronic pain due to a surgically fused neck and headaches caused by a traumatic brain injury but I am a believer now and I highly recommend Pivot Acupuncture. They give a natural alternative to pain management versus damaging and toxic medications. Fantastic experience: I just had my first cosmetic acupuncture appointment w Dr Shawne. I was looking for this and for someone who practices TCM and my friend told me about Pivot Acupuncture. The appointment was informative and relaxing. My skin is brighter, glowing , the 11s between my brows are much softer and my face is lifted. She definitely got my Qi flowing. Fantastic experience: I have neuropathy in both my feet and the pain became very severe early in 2023. I was no longer able to take long walks or do any cycling on my road bike. Not being able to do these activities was very depressing and kept me from getting the aerobic exercise I need to stay in shape. After doing some research I found Pivot Acupuncture and Dr. Shawne Lopes in Vallejo CA. Since starting acupuncture treatments in May the pain and burning in my feet have decreased remarkably. I am now able to walk a few miles at a time and back to my 25 mile plus rides cycling. I am in great aerobic shape again and much happier now thanks to Dr. Lopes and her staff. They are very caring and professional and I highly recommend them for anyone suffering this condition who wants to get back to living again. The treatments have really worked wonders for me.

Fantastic experience: I started coming to Pivot in the summer of 2020 for relief from vertigo and nausea after experiencing sudden hearing loss. I have remained impressed with the clinic's pandemic precautions and have always felt safe. Even after my immediate symptoms were alleviated, I have continued to come in twice a month for acupuncture and now massage with Cat to complement my treatment. I really appreciate the calm environment and the holistic approach Dr. Shawne and her staff all have.

Fantastic experience: The Pivot Acupuncture Team have been life changing for me! After almost a year of severe knee pain with visits to doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, etc my pain was still limiting my activity and the recommendation was, of course, surgery. Not what I wanted to hear! A friend recommended Dr. Shawn so I made an appointment. Since starting with her and her team, my knee is greatly improved and I am out and about enjoying life. With the addition recently of “Cat” the massage therapist in the office I continue even more improvement and am learning exercises and other things to do at home to keep things on track. Also, with the untimely death of my Naturalpathic nurse practitioner Dr. Shawn was able to review my supplements and keep me aligned with a regime to maintain my overall good health! Fantastic experience: First I’ll start by saying the entire team is so helpful and kind here, and I always feel welcome. I’m always looking forward to my next appointment. Diana and Dr. Shawne always make sure I’m comfortable and have what I need, and that extends into the treatment as well. I’ve been going to Pivot at least once a month for almost a year now, and Dr. Shawne has dramatically helped my chronic pain and mobility issues. I was having issues for over a year with cubital tunnel syndrome with numbness in my ring and pinky fingers, and after having regular sessions with her, I have the feeling back in my fingers. During my treatment she also helped pinpoint and relieve my chronic work-related pain in my neck and shoulder. She works with me to find appropriate supplements and healthy habits to facilitate my healing and also introduces me to ways to improve not only my physical health, but mental health as well. Fantastic experience: I have to leave a completely separate review for the wonderful massage therapist, Catherine Elumba. There’s no way I could fit both in one review. I’ve had multiple massages with Cat now and she has to be the most skilled therapist I’ve ever been worked on by. She takes her time. This is just so important to me. She finds areas of pain and tightness I wasn’t even aware of, but I’m extremely grateful and relieved once she’s attacked them and worked them out. Cat strikes the perfect balance between physical and mental healing during her massages and I always feel as relaxed mentally as I do physically after a session, which is a completely new, awesome experience for me. As with Dr. Shawne, I feel Cat performs her craft by putting kindness and caring at the forefront and it shines through in our sessions. Thank you, Cat!

Fantastic experience: Dr Shawne is knowledgeable and experienced holistic doctor. It is quiet and relaxed ambience in the clinic. My PMS was worse and impacting my daily routine and activities. I started Accupuncture treatment in June along with Chinese herbs and after few months noticed the amazing difference and overall getting better with mensuration cycle.

Fantastic experience: I did a detox cleanse a few weeks ago with Catherine. For me this came a the perfect time. All the great nutrients I received through the healthy foods is just what I needed. The Bone both is absolutely delicious, I could drink everyday. Catherine did check in to see how I was doing and also provided yummy healthy receipts that the entire family loved. This was a great reminder of the importance of getting nutrients through food.

Fantastic experience: Being someone who has a fear of needles, I would never have thought that acupuncture would work for me. But Dr. Lopes and her amazing staff always make me feel peaceful and content. The office is very clean and sanitized. Dr Lopes makes sure to let me know what we are doing and recommends natural supplements/vitamins that I can add into my life for additional benefits. I love my visits to this office and highly recommend it. With so many Rx pills for every ailment we have, I would recommend anyone try acupuncture before more medications.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lopes started treating my mom shortly after she had a stroke. My mom’s physical therapist highly recommended seeing an acupuncturist to help with her recovery. I accompanied my mom to each appointment and it was my first time being exposed to acupuncture in person. First, I must say that Dr. Lopes is such a professional and I immediately felt comfortable. She took the time to address my questions and was very open and thorough in explaining how she was going to treat my mom. In the days after my mom saw Dr. Lopes, I started noticing an improvement in her mobility. Yeah!!! I’m so thankful that Dr. Lopes could be a part of my mom’s care team.

Fantastic experience: My daughter just moved to Germany and I struggled with not having her around the house. I only slept for 2 to 3 hours the entire week after she left. My acupuncturist Shawne helped me big time. After my treatment I felt as if the ground was pulling me down, my entire body just felt so heavy but very relaxed. Being diagnosed with anxiety disorder, it’s something I’ve never felt before without taking my medication.
