Fantastic experience: I came to Secoya Health because I wanted to try a more holistically base of treatment rather than conventional medicine that doesn't address the whole person. I walked in with a walker, barely able to move because of immense pain and physical impairment that made daily living a struggle, today, I walk 2 miles without any assistance, and the pain is lessened to where I expect full recovery. The first day in July 2023 was amazing, as staff was incredibly encouraging and supportive. Through an amazing practitioner, Paula Fortin, giving me the medical support, Dr. SCHILLINGS, his non-judgmental approach to work on the areas of pain and recognizing my issues have a lot to do with trauma in my life with his approach of using MNRT, worth the investment, for sure. I believe God sent me to Secoya Health, my family and friends mention my progress, they see the progress toward a more enjoyable life. Thank you, Secoya.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Secoya health yesterday morning! I am suffering with a long term injury that causes severe medical symptoms. After 2 years of trying different doctors and medical professionals I still had no answers and was suffering at a 10/10 level at times. After years of searching I was finally introduced to Paula Fortin. After working with her only a short time I began to have some relief from my suffering. Paula was tenacious and did not give up right away like so many others did. I feel as though she is incredibly gifted both intellectually and intuitively as a health provider. I honestly feel I could have died without Paula’s help. After great efforts on her part, I am now living what I consider to be a normal life again. I do still have some challenges from time to time. About a year or so ago Paula switched companies and started working for Secoya health. I of course followed her and continue to check in on a regular basis to manage my condition. Yesterday morning I happened to be having symptoms again and was struggling to keep focused on my work. I decided to call Secoya and check in to see when my next appointment with Paula was. Taylor is the employee who answered my call. I asked her to check and see when my next appointment was, to which she replied, you are scheduled next week Tuesday at 3:00. I think she must have heard it in my voice that I wasn’t feeling well, because right after that she asked if I was doing ok. When I told her I was having a little trouble, she immediately checked the schedule, and found a cancellation for that morning in Paula’s schedule. She then asked if I would like to come in right away and address my concerns with Paula. I was so amazed. I wouldn’t have even tried asking for an appointment on such short notice. Something like that would have never happened at her former company, In fact most of the appointments I made to see Paula there had to be scheduled over 30 days out. I was impressed by Taylor’s initiative and intuition both. I was also impressed with Secoya health being flexible and fitting me in on extremely short notice. That’s only one of the great many differences between Secoya health and some of the other primary care options. I have now been at Secoya for about a year as my primary care provider and I have never been happier with my healthcare. Every person I have met that works for Secoya health has treated me with kindness and respect . I also have noticed they seem to work together extremely well as a team, and they give off that feeling of being a big loving family.

Negative experience: I made an appointment for 5:30 pm online. I received a call that morning telling me that I would need to be there by 4:40 pm, and I agreed. I left work early, with plenty of time for the drive. Unfortunately, a 40 minute drive became more than an hour because of a multi-vehicle accident on I35. I called to inform them that I was running late - I hoped only by a few minutes. As it turned out, I arrived at 4:55. 15 minutes late. When I pulled into the parking lot, I received a call from the practitioner telling me that I would need to reschedule. I explained that I had been driving for more than an hour, and I lived quite a distance away, and that I was right outside. She was unmoved. She offered to reschedule, but I wasn't going to risk making that drive again. I walked inside, got a receipt for the refund, and left. I'll never know if the treatment would have helped me - only that when I walked out I was feeling far more stressed than when I made the appointment. Grace and compassion are not their specialties.

Fantastic experience: It’s been a few weeks now since finished up 12 rounds of QNRT with Dr. Shilling + the Secoya team and I cannot thank them enough! I reached out to the Secoya team 3 months PP with my second child after continuing to experience intense anxiety, bouts of depression, insomnia and mood swings. I learned SO much throughout these treatments. First, I want to thank the entire Secoya team, especially Dr. Shilling and the care coordinators. I was greeted everyday with a smile and general inquiry of how I was doing. The care coordinators really took the time to get to know me and my struggles and provide advice when appropriate. You can tell they truly care about their clients and want the absolute best for you. This was so refreshing compared to typical medical clinics where it feels like they don’t take the time to get to know you or truly care. Dr. Shilling was extremely empathetic and knowledgeable, you can tell he is so passionate about what he does. Just like the care coordinators, he took the time to get to know me and even along with the QNRT treatments offered great advice. QNRT showed me that there were past experiences and events that have shaped the way I subconsciously (and consciously!) respond to current stressors, What I learned about myself, specifically negative patterns, will stick with me for the rest of my life. I loved getting to see the data from before my first session to after my last session on the EEG and how my brain improved. I want Secoya to know that not only did they impact my life but they impacted my families life as well. It has completely changed how I plan to parent and support my children, especially in the way I will speak to my kids knowing the impact it can have. I can’t recommend QNRT enough, even for those who may not be struggling but just want to achieve overall wellness and optimal health.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Secoya Health and Dr. Schilling to everyone. The atmosphere of the clinic is calm and relaxing and conducive to healing. The staff is kind and knowledgable and I’ve always felt that they are truly invested in my healing process. Following a Holistic/Natural medicine path can be a challenge for some (it was initially for me), but Dr. Schilling has a way of letting the skeptical know there is science behind it all. I’ve experienced many successes and have witnessed the successes of those who I’ve recommended to Secoya. Perhaps the best thing about Dr Schilling and his staff is that through them I have the confidence that no matter what health challenge I’m experiencing, we will be able to get to the root cause and thus to a solution.

Fantastic experience: I learned about Secoya Health through the amazing Functional Medicine minded Nurse Practitioner Paula Fortin. I followed her to Secoya and immediately signed up for a 1-year membership because she is awesome!!!! Paula is the first practitioner I had seen in five years with ongoing unexplained health issues, who I felt heard me. She was able to look beyond my emotional state and piece together what may be at the root of my numerous symptoms. Thank you for not chalking up my distraught emotional state to “anxiety” and for ordering the tests that my body needed to show how depleted it actually was in specific areas. I felt seen, heard, and hopeful for the first time in years. Because of you, what other practitioners previously assessed as most likely normal perimenopausal symptoms, was actually due to a complex ovarian cyst that no one knew was there. After perusing the website, I got so excited about all that Secoya offers, that I jumped on having a phone consultation and then free consultation. I only have one brain and I had been trying for years and years to renew my mind and think my way into positive thoughts and healing. Compound that with the multiple head injuries I sustained over the years playing competitive soccer (heading the ball was my favorite way to score), as well as being knocked unconscious from behind by a bicyclist going full speed 16 years ago, my noggin needed some healing love and attention. So I said yes to a 12-session Neuro Therapy Session. It was pricier than I could afford but TOTALLY WORTH EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR!!! And rather than have to travel super far away to another state or nation, I only had to drive 38 minutes each direction, enjoying every minute of it to rest and process. QNRT is sort of like Emotion Code on steroids meets guru neuro-chiropractor muscle tester, in my opinion. Dr Schilling was able to use muscle testing to find the connections between emotions I stuffed so far down that I thought had zero effect on my body and physical/brain patterns that I thought were just bad habits. Oops! The color therapy glasses, tuning forks, and essential oils helped bring the healing in deeper. Because of my QNRT and the Brain Training sessions, my body literally now stays calm in what were previously normal stress trigger situations and/or interactions with others. Now my body stays calm and relaxed, and I’m able to think clearly and speak up in a kind yet direct way to others when it warrants. I absolutely feel THE BEST that I have emotionally, mentally, and physically than I have in at least five years, if not 40. The staff at Secoya is AMAZING. My biggest complaint is that unfortunately I do not get to see them weekly anymore since I completed my first Neuro package and I miss their joyful, loving faces and little updates. I am hopeful to be able to save up enough $$ so that I can return for a second package of QNRT/Brain Training before the year ends. For now, I will take advantage of and enjoy the Pulse hours that I received with being a Direct Primary Care Member, I will schedule care visits as needed with Paula Fortin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, and I will soak up the remaining evenings in The Biology of Belief biweekly book club this spring with Coach Curtis and Blake. Secoya Health has been one of my biggest highlights and the most effective holistic care that I have been able to participate in on my journey into greater healing so far! Thank you! Thank you!! Negative experience: Extremely rude people. I had to go to a funeral that I didn't know about until an hour before it started. I got a nasty text from this office about how they are more important than anything else. The person on the phone made a rude joke about someone going to a funeral instead of taking the phone call from them. Then she laughed and said have a wonderful day. That employee should be fired.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Secoya literally changed my life. I had been on heartburn medication for 11 years, and my symptoms were steadily getting worse. I would feel full/bloated and very tired after every meal, in addition to getting acid reflux. I was also starting to notice a negative impact on my mood, and it seemed like even the smallest stressors would cause a very strong stress response in my body. I knew I had to do something outside of the western medicine ‘bubble,’ as all doctors I had seen up to that point had nothing to offer as far as advice to get off the medication. My wife just happened to read some reviews of Secoya saying that people with similar symptoms had found help healing with them. I did a consult visit with Secoya where we talked about a game plan for my path to healing, and then I fully committed to doing the program for 3-4 months. Dr Schilling was able to find and address the root cause of what was causing my symptoms, and when we addressed that, the symptoms went away. It has been over a year now that I have been off heartburn medication, and I have felt great since doing the program. The above mentioned symptoms are all gone; I have experienced more energy, better mood, improved digestion, and an overall noticeable increase in my quality of life. I have the same stressors in my life but they don’t seem to impact me nearly as much as they used to. The people at Secoya are all super helpful and very friendly, and I really enjoyed my experience there. They helped me implement change in my wellness for life, rather than just giving me a pill to temporarily mask my symptoms.

Negative experience: My care with Secoya did start as a professional,caring and positive environment. However, I underwent a 4 month treatment program that ended up costing me more than $20,000 and at the end of the program I still hadn’t felt any better than when I started. I consistently tried to tell the staff about my symptoms and what was going on and I was just told to keep going, keep going and that it would get better. This never happened. Instead at the end of many months I was told I needed to work harder at “integrating” what they were teaching me. I was even forced to do an exit interview “testimonial” and talk about how I was “better” even though I was not and was crying the whole time because I was so disappointed, angry and frustrated. There were blatant things that were ignored as well - such as they tested my hydration levels of my cells every few weeks and I was always severely dehydrated, but they never actually checked my minerals or did any sort of bloodwork to understood why - they just told me to drink more water. When I went to an actual integrative health practitioner, they did a mineral test on me, and realized I was very deficient in several minerals, which is why my body was not holding or absorbing water like it should have. I also was having jaw issues and was told it was stress, but later found out I had dislocated tmj disc when a functional dentist took images. In addition, I was able to find a somatic practitioner who has helped me feel better in a few weeks at a fraction of the cost of the services at Secoya. I wasted so much time and money continuing to do the treatments at the Secoya clinic that did not help. And was suffering as well, which was not a secret as I would be outwardly showing that I wasn’t feeling well. When I brought this all to their attention and asked if there could be anything done because I had spent so much money to have no success in my symptoms they simply stated there are no refunds. I should also mention that at the beginning of the program they essentially promised that they had seen people with my symptoms, and that no one had ever not gotten better. I felt like I was completely taken advantage of and then on top of it made to feel like it was my fault that I didn’t get better.

Fantastic experience: I could've sworn I'd left a review for my favorite healthcare team years ago; thankfully "better late than never" is at work here! When I was struggling with sciatica pain from a pinched nerve years ago a friend said, "You should try my chiropractor." I resisted, saying chiro hadn't helped me. He persisted, "You've got to try this place, they've helped me so much." Figuring I had nothing to lose, I made my first appointment at Secoya. I underwent a series of tests and questions wherein I was asked to provide all the injury information about my body I could possibly remember and then we delved into QNRT. Having been raised with western-medicine values, I was leery of "holistic" approaches but again, wanted to try to be open minded and give my friend's clinic a chance. The QNRT method was entirely new to me and I wasn't quite sure about it at first; as Dr. Schilling started to "find" things with my body/mind connection that were directly contributing to my chronic pain I started to believe... ...but what really clinched the deal in my mind was one session where he mentioned the "trauma to your front teeth." Confused, I said, "I've never had any trauma to my front teeth..." And then I remembered: the BROKEN TOOTH I'd suffered when I was 11—I hadn't even mentioned it on my initial injury list! It had entirely slipped my mind (I'd had a filling on it for 30 years and had forgotten about it). Yet Dr. Schilling knew about it because "my body told him." Cue Twilight music. Seriously, that's when I really started getting on board with this kinesiology, body/mind connection type of healing. I could go on and on about myriad other issues I've had (trifling in comparison to my sciatica pain) that Secoya has helped me understand and eradicate over the years. E.g., when I went in once for severe pain in my elbow that was causing weakness in my hand—I could barely hold my coffee mug, which in itself is a tragedy. After my 20-minute QNRT session of figuring out where the issue was stemming from (conflict with a family member) I walked out of the clinic pain free and more self-aware of the issue—and how to deal with it in the future. Guaranteed if I'd gone to a "normal" doctor for the same pain, I'd have been prescribed pills and a PT plan that could've helped in the short term, but wouldn't have touched the actual issue. Stress and conflict, when not dealt with, manifest themselves as pain in the body. If you've got chronic pain you just can't shake and you're tired of "traditional" medicine not helping you—get thee to Secoya. If I can become a believer, so can you! Also? The entire team at this clinic is chock full of great energy: when you walk in, you're greeted with genuine smiles and feelings of warmth. They know everyone's name, they ask about my dog (they know her name, too), they remember details about my life... ...it's just something you cannot get at any other healthcare facility.

Fantastic experience: Thank you, Dr. Schilling and his team. I have been going to secoya Health since 2021 and during the writing of this review, it is now mid 2022. It has been stated by an unnamed source to me that to escape tyranny from a communistic society, you must create a parallel society within that. Secoya Health is just that - A healthy society embedded within a very sick society. The first time I stepped foot in their doors, I immediately noticed the subtle energy shift from a negative, almost draining energy, to a positive and uplifting one. There has never been a single time where I haven’t left Secoya feeling better than when I walked in. I have done, so far, 22 sessions of QNRT. I am currently 23 years old and I have a strict budget. I, also, am not a fan of Western medicine or doctors. But, Dr. Schilling offers an alternative to even medicinal care, which is QNRT. QNRT goes beyond treating the symptoms, it’s shoots straight through the source of the problem, which is negative emotion and thought patterns stored in the body from childhood. I am a quite healthy individual physically, comparatively. My psychological health, although psychologically, did not meet that same standard. I felt as if though I had so much potential but something was blocking my way and I had no idea what that was. All I knew is I was suffering in a healthy body. Reflecting on my life currently after just finishing my last session of QNRT today, I can quite confidently say I have never felt more free to make decisions in my life. I am more excited for my future than ever before and there is so much more love, hope, and happiness building up from within because of the efforts partly from Dr. Schilling and his team. The rest, was from me and my sustained efforts to take responsibility and action for my problems. Dr. Schilling and his team empower The individual by creating a distinction between you and the rest of the world. They empower you to be the creator of your world and take responsibility for the things that happened to you in your life and how you can respond to them, and everything else. This is the complete opposite of a victim hood perspective which puts life in the driver seat and you in the backseat. The creator perspective puts you in control of your life and where you take it.This viewpoint is very nontraditional and has change the way I look at everything, and will forever. Fantastic experience: I have had 8 shoulder dislocations and they are very painful. The last one left me with a full thickness tear. For about a year I have hardly been able to use my arm and could only lift 1 pound over my head while contorting my body. I went to see Dr. Dan and after only one visit I had more strength in my arm. I was able to use it more normally and the pain doesn’t hang on. I am very hopeful. He even said I could eventually walk on my hands again. I believe it from the change I have already experienced. Fantastic experience: Everyone at this facility is so vibrant and friendly! I really liked the warm and peaceful atmosphere. It was my first time getting an IV supplement treatment. I didn't necessarily notice an immediate shift but had good energy the following days. They offered a free protein bar & hydration drink. I was excited to discover a new gluten-dairy-soy-free protein bar there. It took a little longer than I planned, but I think they just had a full schedule of appointments & it was also my first time. I would recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I went here for supplements and Annissa and the other staff at Secoya were super knowledgeable and helpful. They were consultative and took time to answer my questions. I could tell they actually want to help people and set them free, rather than have them keep coming back forever. They have lots of great video resources online as well!

Negative experience: I originally sought out to see Dr. Schilling per these reviews. I want to first come out and state that this is not a knock on Dr. Schilling himself, as I never saw him. However, I believe that medical institutions who allow their front-desk staff to engage in fear-based motivating as well as delivering prognosis from an intro screening need to be called out as this is highly unethical. In an intro screening, one of the questions asked by a front-desk member was ,"what is your fear if you do not change this?" My answer was that I don't have fear around it at all. She tried to dig deeper and said "Well, imagine what would happen to your business if you didn't take care of this?" I told her that my business would be just fine. Again, she said "Well, you know that things only get worse." (Prognosis on something she is not qualified to diagnosis and is not the case at all with what I was wanting to be seen for). My response was that I disagree. This was the first red flag. Any institution that uses fear to try to motivate patients and allows front desk staff to engage in prognosis, one should be highly skeptical as this goes against ethical practices in medicine. Being a small business owner, I wanted to alert Dr. Schilling to this directly rather than leave a public review, as the individual at the front desk just may have been very poorly trained. As such, I called to see if I could email Dr. Schilling and asked to cancel my appointments. The individual I called at the front desk assured me that my email would go directly to Dr. Schilling. After sending what is in this review to that email, I got a response back from a member at the front desk that Dr. Schilling would reply. This means that the person lied (since the email did not go directly to Dr. Schilling) and I never received any sort of response as well (so I'm doubting that he ever got it). Professionally, I'm a clinical mental health counselor. When you work with vulnerable patient populations, there is a standard of ethics and professionalism that should be inherent in one's practice. I cannot comment on Dr. Schilling as a practitioner as I'm sure he's great per the other reviews, but the screening and front-desk interaction was beyond unprofessional and lacked integrity to say the least and is a reflection on the overall company and practice. I hope they can sort this out for future patients.

Fantastic experience: I am in awe at what the Secoya team has done for me! I have struggled with the same postpartum issue over and over again and it’s extremely painful! I had tried everything and of course was recommended medication and many different remedies by other doctors! After one appointment with Dr Schilling, he literally took all my pain away! Its crazy how your emotional health is truly tired to your physical health! I am so grateful I can enjoy time with my newborn now and not cry every time I go to the bathroom! So thankful for all of you!!

Fantastic experience: Secoya can be a mouthful to comprehend, when you are new to viewing health from a different perspective that is not commonly well understood. Dr.Schilling is very knowledgeable in what he does and is able to provide the knowledge and understanding behind Secoya's integrative approach to wellness. When you are tired of repeated measures with temporary or no results (like going to the chiropractor to be cracked 2-3x a week for 2 months-physical therapy that worsens the pain-massage therapists who can't seem to get that one knot out of your shoulder or keeps reappearing) Secoya can offer a different perspective and seeks the root of the problem versus alleviating symptoms. Along with Dr.Schilling's amazing comprehension of the body and all its complexities, Seocya health is also led by a kind, caring, and welcoming team!

Negative experience: If you have a lot of disposable income, I’d still think twice about trying them out. My treatment program that was presented to me was ridiculous on a few levels, mostly the cost. For a 4 month plan, they wanted me to commit to over $12,000! This wasn’t even including the cost of any supplements they recommend buying, which will be a cupboards full. I should’ve run when the doctor said “there’s no mysteries to human body anymore!” Sad, really. Misdiagnosed and mistreated. Receiving much better care for a fraction of a fraction of their cost.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shilling and his staff provide a personal experience when you are there by appointment. They all make you feel cared about. I personally need and enjoy that type of experience.

Negative experience: I tried to make an appointment 3 times. The office called and had to reschedule every time. They kept having problems with over scheduling. I never even got to meet the doctor because the office staff could not get their act together. I filled out my pre office info in an email. I made an appointment and even confirmed it via text and the day of the appointment the office called to tell me the appointment was cancelled since I didn't confirm. I immediately called the office back to say that I had confirmed the previous day, but the staff member said they had already given the appointment slot to someone else. I had taken a screenshot of the text messages to show the staff. I was given no apologies. I have since found a much more professional integrative health clinic in the Twin Cities.

Fantastic experience: I sought Secoya when all other avenues, (doctors, treatments) failed. I was misdiagnosed as asthmatic and prescribed inhalers, etc., none of which worked. I could not breathe! Dr. Shilling diagnosed me and now, two years later I am fully active and healthy again. Treating the cause and not the symptoms is the medical science of the future., I am living prove that it works. And , oh so grateful to have my life back!
