Fantastic experience: Dr. Goodfellow was my doctor, and my husband's doctor, for over 20 years until we recently moved too far away to continue seeing her. But she was the best doctor ever: caring, attentive and thorough at each appointment. We miss her and her wonderful bedside manner and always making us feel so comfortable and cared for. Positive experience: I just met Dr. Goodfellow for the first time after my long-time PCP retired. I was nervous for a new doctor after 30 years with the previous, but I’m happy to say that Dr. Goodfellow was open to my questions and I didn’t feel rushed. With only one encounter with Dr. Goodfellow under my belt I don’t feel like I can dole out a 5 right off the bat, but I was quite pleased with my first experience.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Goodfellow has been my primary doctor since 2018. She has seen me through several severe illnesses including calcemia, bone fracture, and most recently, a severe case of covid-19. She has always been available through her medical personnel and has responded immediately to concerning situations as well as following up on those cases in order to ascertain if treatment has been successful. She is also quick to refer me to specialist care if needed.and follows up on the success or lack of success in those instances. I feel very fortunate in having Dr. Goodfellow as my primary doctor.

She actively listens, she provides good analysis and diagnosis, she prescribes appropriate treatment, and she really provides such excellent care that over the years I just stopped even going to my gynecologist and just go to her. I trust her, she is up to date on relevant medical findings and studies, and I highly recommend her and her wonderful PAs at Irvine Family Care. They are dedicated to high quality care for their patients.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Goodfellow takes the time to talk with you and answer all your questions. She is able to explain to you using understandable terminology and logic, and speaks to you at an intellectually fitting level, not trying to talk down or over your head. She’s immediately warm to you, which shouldn’t be rare for physicians, but I do think she’s one of the few doctors who has really good bedside manner and is good at her job.

Negative experience: Worst “Doctor” in OC. -AVOID- Janet Goodfellow runs her business with a sense of moral turpitude. The front office is actually quite friendly; however, there are often layers of superfluous processes and outdated technology that lead to a clunky onboarding process. Regarding the “doctor” specifically, she lacks the skill set and moral compass that is required to provide quality care. Plus, you might not even be able to see the “doctor” when you’re sick, which essentially defeats the purpose of visiting a doctor (beyond preventive care). In OC, there are lots of high quality physicians; hence, there’s no reason to visit “Dr” Goodfellow.

Negative experience: My appointment was scheduled during rush hour and as a courtesy I called to let the staff know I was running ten minutes late on my long drive to Irvine. They responded by cancelling my appointment for being ten minutes late... unreal! Im changing Doctors... or nurses and staff because I have not met the Doctor. Not only have I been there twice and not met my doctor, I feel like treating a patient with this kind of lack of caring tells me all i need to know to about them as people. On both occasions, I waited ten minutes or more. Enough

Negative experience: Terrible office staff. No communication besides phone messages you hope gets to the right person. Being closed at lunch is an inconvenience and other forms of communication would be helpful.
