Fantastic experience: 10 years ago, I flipped over my bike after getting stuck in an expansion joint on TC jester, and as a result my pelvis was twisted and unlevel. My ortho said that I would need to have my pelvis broken and reset, which would have led to 6 weeks of bedridden status, which I declined. This year the pain became more intense, running was almost impossible, and my quality of life had deteriorated. I went to the ART clinician, Dr. Cadenas, as he had healed my previous injuries including plantar fasciitis. Fantastic experience: I had lower back debilitating pain as well as sciatic pain. My Dr recommended physical therapy and diagnostic shot. Each time I left physical therapy I felt more pain. One day a coworker who is a marathon runner recommended Dr Cadena. I felt relief after my first visit. After a few visits I was better. A few years later I had another flare up. I could hardly walk again. I went to my spine doctor once again, and again he thought the cause was a bulged disk. He recommended physical therapy and a diagnostic shot. Fantastic experience: After a bad fall, I ended up with excruciating elbow pain, bruising, and a huge hematoma at the tip of my elbow. My PCP prescribed me some medication and said I would need that (hematoma) surgically drained. Their first available appointment would be one month later. Fantastic experience: Best physio in Houston I have been to. I have played competitive soccer, basketball, and now do cross fit and other intense exercise. I threw out my back after a, good workout just reaching for something once my legs were tight. Never really had back issues but I couldn't walk much or sit comfortably. After just once session with Dr Cadena I can bend over and sit without much pain. I highly recommend him, don't wait until it gets worse. It is not typical ‘adjustment’ therapy, it is pressure and release which doesn’t immediately feel better; however, he is looking for long term results. Fantastic experience: While ice-skating, I had a bad accident and suffered a tri-malleolar ankle fracture. After extensive surgery and plenty of hardware in place, I started a very long , 2 year rehab process. When I was done, it was still painful to walk and I had a noticeable limp. Fantastic experience: Falling off a ladder I ended up with a compound Potts fracture (ankle fracture). After my surgery and all my hard ware put in place, for two years I ended up with a very painful limp and swelling that would not go away. Although skeptical at first, after my first session I noticed a marked improvement in my symptoms. I went in for pain at my right deltoid and scapula area and Sacro-iliac area of my lower back and after only 1 treatment my symptoms improved 70%. Fantastic experience: I have been suffering with severe leg pain (in the calf muscle region) for almost 6 weeks and still was not feeling any better. Note that I already tried pain killers, muscle relaxers among other medication prescribed by my primary physician. One of my colleague suggested to try a chiropractor who is trained on Active Release Techique (ART). He has been having a similar problem and he did not get better even after 6 months but this ART helped him. So I searched for one in Houston and found Houston Flex. Just third day after my first session with Dr. Cadena I was feeling much better and just after my second session I can be normal and do day to day activity without any pain. Dr. Cadena is awesome and takes good care of the patients and the amount of effort he puts in each session is amazing. Worth every penny being paid to him. My problem was related to the sciatica nerve, which I later came to know that it is complicated to treat, which he had handled with ease (very experienced).

Fantastic experience: Active Release Technique, done right!!! After Breaking my wrist and two surgeries, I had close to 0% range of motion. I then tried several long weeks of physical therapy that produced zero results. When I found Dr. Cadena, most of my doctors had just given up on me. After just 2 sessions with Dr. Cadena I had nearly all my range of motion back (99%). After 4 sessions, I am able to load my wrist with push ups and bench press very comfortably. Fantastic experience: If I could give 10 stars, I would! Dr. Cadena has been an absolute life saver for me and my family and all my friends. Seriously, if you have a pain, he's your man. Originally I saw him for a lower back pain that resulted in him retraining me how to walk. Dr. Cadena teaches you how to fix the problem that caused the pain in the first place. It is incredible what a few sessions can do to your pain. I have seen him for at least 5 different injuries and he hasn't failed me yet. Not only is he a magic pain reliever, he is also affordable and his sessions are 45 minutes to an hour. He's not just going to give you a quick adjustment and send you on your way. I cannot say enough amazing things. I cannot stress it enough, if you have pain, give him a call!! You will NOT regret it!

He helped rehab and heal a partial tear in my MCL, and I was back playing soccer in ~6 weeks. Fantastic experience: When I first began treatment with Dr. Cadena I had chronic shoulder pain and it would dislocate 2-3 times a day. Coughing, sneezing and reaching for anything in front of me are just a few the things that would cause my shoulder to dislocate. After a thorough evaluation of my shoulder, Dr. Cadena explained to me what his approach would be. He also explained to me in the simplest terms why my shoulder was dislocating so frequently and what happens to my shoulder at the structural level every time I allowed my shoulder to dislocate. Combined with treatment, Dr. Cadena recommended that between each appointment, I try my best to prevent my shoulder from dislocating, and so i did. We continued this for the next couple months. We are now six months from the day I started treatment. My shoulder has tightened up significantly and has not dislocated once in the last six months. Fantastic experience: I came to Dr. Cadena with calf tightness that had been bothering me for some time. I had tried at home stretching remedies and got no relief. A friend recommended I make an appointment with Dr. Cadena to get some relief to improve my workouts and outdoor running. He took the time to explain what I was doing wrong and how I could improve in order to not get that injury or specific pains in those areas again. After the first session, I felt immediate relief. I had some soreness the next day, but that was to be expected based on the work he did. My next workout was a vast improvement - I had no calf soreness or tightness after! I went back and finished out my session pack (4 sessions) and I feel like I have entirely new legs. The techniques he took the time to teach me is helping me prevent injuries and correcting my form. Houston Flex is my new go-to for “sports therapy!”

Also, after trying about 5 other cryotherapy locations in Houston I’ve gotta say Houston Flex has the coldest chamber. Dr Cadena is also very affordable and can get you into his office quickly with little to no wait upon arrival. Houston Flex deserves every bit of 5-stars.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Cadena for many reasons - the primary one is that he (quickly) helped me relieve chronic pain in my hip and back. This pain has lingered for years but became debilitating about a year before I met Dr. Cadena. His level of knowledge and integrity is impressive. He has educated me about specifics of my body and taught me how to make small adjustments that make huge differences. My pain was so severe that I visited an orthopedic surgeon - believing years of long distance running had ruined my hips. The ortho did a quick xray, saw nothing and made a "guess" a.k.a. diagnosis of bursitis and prescribed painful steriod injections. I returned to the ortho TWO more times over 6 months. Instinctively I knew I didn't have bursitis, but I was barely able to walk, not sleeping at night, and blinded by constant pain. I would have listened to anyone at this point. After no relief the ortho ordered 2 MRIs - one on back, one on the painful hip. After he got the results, his RECEPTIONIST called me and said I needed to see a pain management doctor. I questioned her if this was correct and she affirmed that my bursitis was still the diagnosis. Red flag! But again, what were my options as I needed pain relief? Reluctantly I went to the pain management doctor (also part of large medical group with ortho). I walked in, they had me do an immediate drug test (I was so confused and bewildered), then pulled out a contract regarding controlled substances. I HAD NOT MET THE DOCTOR yet. I told the nurse twice that this was all a mistake and I was in the wrong place. She said fill out the paperwork and the doctor will see you soon. The doctor runs in a few minutes later, and begins rattling off prescriptions. She said the oxycontin may have side effects. WAIT, what I flatly refused the prescription. She responded by writing me 6 other prescriptions. When I asked why this was necessary, she said since your bulging discs are hitting nerves, this is how we treat. WAIT! I have bulging discs hitting nerves?! No one told me. I've later learned most of the human population does but in this moment I felt like I would in a wheel chair soon based on how I felt and the extensive list of drugs I was leaving her office with. Pain management also prescribed epidural steroid injections, which is a surgical procedure (done in the surgery center this group of doctor owns). Three injections - outpatient, anesthesia procedures - that frankly even with insurance are too expensive for most people to afford. Fast forward 6 months and I was still having the exact same pain in the exact same location. A friend referred me to Dr. Cadena. In hindsight, I would have started with him and not got stuck in this insane, ineffective cycle of unnecessary medical treatments. Dr. Cadena was completely honest and told me he would know very quickly if his treatments would help. After one treatment, I felt better. And, I increasingly felt better and learned something new after each treatment. Chronic pain is miserable, debilitating, and keeps us from enjoying life and doing the activities we love. I hope anyone dealing with these issues finds relief in a much more cost effective and quicker way compared with my journey.

Fantastic experience: I have been dealing with acute SI joint pain for almost 3 months now. I tried therapy with another doctor for almost 6 weeks now with almost 0 results. And then tried Dr. Cadena at Houston flex, first thing I noticed his hip/extremity/SI joint evaluation was much different and a lot more accurate. Fantastic experience: Been dealing with chronic suboccipital neuralgia, neck pain and mid back pain for over 15 years. I’ve been referred to every specialist in town had every diagnostic exam possible done, every type of injection you can imagine. All producing zero results. After Dr. Cadena reviewed my diagnostic exams and my history he was very confident that we would have results within two or three visits. After six visits the pain I’ve been dealing with for over 15 years is all gone. Fantastic experience: I came to see Dr Cadena after a 4 week resting period from any sort of activity involving my hip. Since I was still not able to run, I knew I had to see an expert. A friend of mine said he was able to help with her hip flexor and said that I needed to see him. After my 4th visit, I noticed a huge difference. Dr Cadena did various aggressive soft tissue treatments, corrected my foot pronation, and after a GAIT analysis found that I was a toe striker that had also contributed to my hip pain.
