Negative experience: Started as a new patient not long ago, no one told me they were closing i should have been told not to come because they would be closing soon, I checked my email after they said that's how they informed everyone... no email in my inbox. Also they are referring dr Rowland and said they are sending patients there.... this doctor is a concierge doctor (not a joke) this guy charges an additional $2000 just to see him.. clown.... and they didn't even know who florida premier was when I called to schedule an appointment I can't even see a doctor. Nurse only. I guess I'll cross my fingers and hope my medical problems go away. Thanks for nothing.

Negative experience: It's a shame that this office seems to have changed a lot, because I had a really great experience for my first few visits. I began seeing Dr. Brittany McDowell here, which was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a GP -- She was attentive, ran tests, and had really amazing bedside manner. She moved, unfortunately for me, but I continued coming to the office because I can make appointments online and do bloodwork in-office. However, the recent reviews for this practice prompted me to leave my own -- I recently saw a new (to me) doctor, I don't remember his name, for asthma and also to ask about hair loss (I'm 30 and losing hair). This doctor did prescribe a new inhaler for me, was generally condescending, made fun of my jeans (because they had rips in the knees), and basically told me that I'm 'too young' to have hair loss and to just 'keep doing what I was doing' which was wearing a hat. Then, he tried to sign me up for PRP treatments (provided by a 3rd party) but he couldn't even remember the name of the treatment and told me nothing about it -- I had to look it up myself, online. Needless to say, I'm now receiving care elsewhere, which is a shame because I had such a good experience when I first started coming here.

Negative experience: I do not normally leave bad reviews, but I have been trying to get a prescription refill for over 8 days. I spoke to a live person once, but now only get an automated response. I left 8 voicemails and sent 5 emails to the address stated on the recording. I have received no response. I am now out of a very important medication; this is absolutely unacceptable and can cause a medical emergency. I have had good experiences here in the past, but since Dr. Lipson left it has been very chaotic, with no one seeming to care about taking care of their patients. My pharmacy will not do anything until I hear from them, so I am in an extremely unhealthy situation until someone there contacts me!

Negative experience: After almost 20 years going to this place and Loving it !! The Dr just decided to do Science resource.! The new Owners said they emailed everyone that is incurrent .!!! I was on control medicine and basically was left cold to dry out ..! Very un professional and new owners are not Nice or Caring !

Negative experience: Been going to this clinic for years and had an overall great experience. However, Dr Lipson who was my provider is no longer there. And they just lied to me about it after trying to call them for 4 weeks. They no longer answer the phone. I’ve even tried driving but my to see if I could speak to some one and they are always closed now. So I truly don’t know if this place is still open and functioning.

Negative experience: Does this facility exist anymore? I’ve called all numbers available for several weeks trying to get a prescription refilled. I’ve left messages and haven’t heard back. The website is “under construction” and I’ve sent emails as well and have gotten “undeliverable” receipts. How does a medical facility go dark like this? No notice, no way of getting prescriptions refilled…

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lipson and the rest of the staff there always listen to what I have going on and try their best to help me with whatever I need. I never wait too long, it’s always prompt service and easy going vibes there. I really recommend Dr. Lipson for any primary care needs, he’s a great guy and very easy to work with. Seems like he really cares about his patients and I love that! I have my next appointment coming up soon through telehealth / zoom since I moved states temporarily, but I only want to see the staff from SmartForLife. Thanks guys - James Gorsuch

Fantastic experience: This is my story I took Thur 6/9/22off I spend the morning making calls to different doctors offices to get information.most the calls the energy I was getting was short and cold.after calling 11 offices not getting no where, I call SMART FOR LIFE, I remember this would be mylast call..the person the answer the phone had such gentle voice his energy was positive .so I jump in my car.i notice all the staff members were so amazing. I told myself this people really like there job and the doctors. Fantastic experience: I absolutely LOVED this office. The staff was super friendly and constantly checked in with me to make sure I would be seen right away and constantly asked if I had a good experience. The staff was genuine and very professional. My nurse Brittany was amazing and took time with me while I asked a lot of questions and led me in the right direction. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel so comfortable! Had an incredible experience here overall and would recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Negative experience: This practice double billed my wife and I. They had us pay cash upfront, then billed our insurance for the same procedure again. As of the date of this writing, this matter was still not resolved. Additionally, the staff was unprofessional and poorly trained. Especially when it came to billing us.

Negative experience: Worst doctor on the planet. Left the office crying - the front office staff was embarrassed for me but they seemed used to it. I had the last appointment of the day and the "Doctor" lipson was in his car driving away before I got into my car. DO NOT GO HERE

Negative experience: This practice is so TERRIBLE , UNPROFESSIONAL and the staff is NEGLIGENT. Negligent because the nurse who took my oral temperature NEVER used a disposable probe tip cover on the thermometer and of course I realized too late when the thermometer was already in my mouth and I felt and tasted metal. When she took it out I saw that the disposable cover wasn't on it. Plus she wasn't wearing rubber glover. The accident report was filed and I will proceed.

Negative experience: They don’t even deserve one star absolutely terrible I will never return to their office. I waited an hour and a half and still was never seen I drove 45 minutes on my only day off and woke up early for this appointment I called him the day before my appointment to let them know I need to be out of the office by 11:30 for a 12 o’clock appointment I had they told me no problem I got there at 9:30 when they opened and sat in the waiting room until 11 o’clock the final straw was when they took a gentleman who walked in after me who didn’t have an appointment and they said they fit them in and they did so they took him right before me and that’s when I walked out they have no respect at all for Patience time but the doctors time is so valuable and no thanks I will take my business to a practice that values my time

Negative experience: I have Florida Blue insurance which allows one free physical per year. The physical was your standard physical and everything went well. After the check up was over I go to the front desk and they tell I’ll get my results back for my blood work in 2 weeks. They told me the doctor will call me. What they didn’t tell me is they will charge me for an office visit to get my results back from my physical. They charged my insurance for a two minute phone call to tell me I’m fine plus a $35 dollar copay. Don’t recommend this doctor to be shaken down when every other doctor I had gave the results free with your routine physical.

Negative experience: I visited Dr. Lipson for help with weight loss. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the support I needed from him or his staff after repeated attempts. He prescribes weight loss pills that make me feel sick when I first go on them, and then lets the supply run out every 30 days, making me go off and back on the medicine repeatedly, which makes me feel even sicker. I asked the staff, and even Dr. Lipson directly, for help with this issue. Could Dr. Lipson prescribe something else? No. Could the office staff proactively manage my prescription by calling in refills before I run out? No.

Negative experience: The MOST UNPROFESSIONAL practice I ever had the REGRET of going to. Went for some EXTREMELY TIME and HEALTH SENSITIVE blood work on 9/4. Was told that I would get a call with in results and after over 2 WEEKS I NEVER did. Dr Brad Lipson also FAILED to inform the office to fill my RX because he "forgot" Called on 9/21 was told my a staff member that the lab "forgot" to do the most important test for my blood work but that other results came back that were "concerning" naturally freaked out, she told me that she would have the Dr call me the same day and NEVER did!! I called on 9/22 and kept getting hung up on when they would say "please hold" finally I spoke to George the owner who to me to come in and they would "redo" the blood work "free of charge" and I would get a call by 9/25 and to my surprise I NEVER did. To add insult to injury they "forgot" to fill my rx again so I left empty handed when I went to the pharmacy to get my meds today! I called today and kept getting hung up on until George answered the phone. He was rude, insensitive, did not take any responsibility and was unapologetic. He told me someone would call me back in 5 minutes and they did. Thankfully my month long nightmare was put to rest with NEGATIVE results! Also BEWARE that they try to pressure you to pee in a cup by asking you 50x per visit to Bill your insurance more!! Nonetheless, I will NEVER EVER go back there again! HIGHLY ADVISE TO STAY AWAY!!!!

Negative experience: My lab work got billed from an out-of-state lab. As a Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield provider, they should be aware of the difference in coverage for in-state versus out-of-state labs. They did not respond to any of my emails in this regard.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff is so welcoming and professional!! I typically work with the beautiful blonde Renata, who makes me feel like i'm worth a million bucks when I walk in the door. I've experience the same with each and every member of the staff on every visit. Can't say enough about Dr. Lipson! He is the first Dr. that I have ever had that makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. I'm the guy that hates hospitals and seeing physicians. For the first time I feel like I have a trusted friend who is helping me design my "new life". I've avoided Drs. all my life but since seeing Dr. Lipson my entire life has changed my life, physically and mentally I now feel like I'm 25y/o again.

Negative experience: I honestly hate leaving bad reviews but I feel like I have no choice. I went for a first-time visit for a physical a couple months ago and I was assured they take Aetna in-network. All was well, lady at front desk was very nice, and all-in-all my appointment went smoothly. Or so I thought. A few days later I get a bill from Empire City Laboratories for almost $600 dollars. I checked and I had several claims for my bloods tests and the cumulative total for the claims was over $5000 dollars. I also received claims for my office visit that were hundreds of dollars. At no point was I made aware they would send my blood tests to an out-of-network facility and if I had known, I would’ve gladly gone to a third-party facility to get them. I wound up stuck with a monstrous bill for a single appointment for a physical. Beware the friendly, front-facing facade of this doctor’s office. They clearly embrace every slimy trick in the book to squeeze every penny out of you and your insurance.

Negative experience: I ended up at Smart for life because of a last minute appointment I had made through ZocDoc, an app that I have since stopped using due to a multitude of problems. Initially Smart for life seemed ok, however, after my initial visit things got bad very quickly. Because Smart for life elects to do substantial bloodwork, the lab costs for my physical added up to $3,553. I have insurance, no problem right? Well my insurance cut me a check, so I present myself at the doctor’s office, per Smart for Life’s instructions and provide them the money. What ensued for the next 8 months, was repeated letters from their lab partners, Empire labs accusing me of no payments made. Repeated attempts to email and call Smart for Life were met with no action on their part. Currently I have been taken to collections. I strongly recommend you take your healthcare needs elsewhere. I will do what I can to get the word out on them and their lab partners to protect the interests of any who may be considering their business.

Negative experience: I am aware that this review might be deleted so I am going to get out what I can while people can be warned. This practice is operating under false pretenses and putting people at serious medical risk. They do not advertise as an addiction specialist clinic nor do they advertise as a Suboxone clinic but they have no problem dispensing it and in the WORST WAY POSSIBLE. Recently, the two doctor's believed it was a good idea to treat a patient that came in desperate to overcome their heroin addiction. They were hopeless and begged for help. These doctor's took this as an opportunity to make money not a difference in helping someone. They prescribed an extremely high dose of Suboxone and in addition benzodiazepines which should not be prescribed together less long to persons with addiction issues. This person is now in detox for their THIRD TIME IN TWO MONTHS FROM THE DRUGS PRESCRIBED FROM THIS "PRACTICE". I am horrified that a weight loss clinic has the nerve to do this but especially horrified that in the heart of Palm Beach County where the opiod epidemic has hit so hard that their mission is to take advantage of people who really were just trying to get help. God willing someone reads this and stays away from you for all reasons.

Negative experience: First visit I waited 2 hours and 40 minutes for the doctor to see me. They are keep checking to see if I can see his assistant - no way! I’m first time patient in a new practice - I deserve to be seen my the doctor. Their excuse was, it’s a “rush hour “ during this time of the day. Really maybe you should not triple book so everyone gets their scheduled time! For follow up appointment they demand 150 just for the dr. To tell me that my blood work is ok. Well not cool because my insurance told me it’s 30 dollars. The office manager who is very rude and raised her voice on me multiple times over the phone. I work in a medical field and I do second visits for no charge at all - just a currency to the patient! That’s how your build TRUST AND LONG COMMITMENTS! But since they insist on the 150 I asked the office manager to give me the code that they will be sending to the insurance, so I can call them again and ask them. She said that she doesn’t know the codes. I will never go back there again just for the rudeness of the office manager !

It's only a short time that I ever have to wait to see Dr.Lipson, and I really don't mind at all because we do have some good laughs. Really, this is by far my favorite Dr. EVER! Negative experience: do not come here for primary care. I'm not speaking on the weight loss clinic, just on the primary care. they are a scam. they overcharged on my insurance and lied about copay costs. they also lied about informing me on other costs prior, when they didn't. tried to have me come back to pay more money saying "i was informed about their charges before I had any samples taken" which was a lie. they charged $5000 for blood work through my insurance which is unheard of..... no one pays $5000 for blood work. my insurance plan is covered and IN NETWORK with dr. lipson and i still was charged this amount... plus they tried to get more money from my insurance by lying to a diagnostic center and having them call me to tell me i needed a radiology exam for a "concussion" which was a complete lie. the diagnostic center informed me that dr. moulavi made the call for the exam and i didn't even meet with him, i met with dr. lipson. do not recommend. visit was not helpful, he barely listened to what i was concerned about and didn't even look himself.he made a "diagnosis" based on what i said without physically examining. plus i was a new patient and should have had zero co pay... they put me as an annual visit which INCLUDES blood work according to them IN OFFICE but once i leave they try and change it to a "critical visit" adding additional costs for me to come back and pay and charging $5000 for blood work... absolute scam.

Negative experience: “You shouldn’t care what my title is, my title is not important. All you need is to get your iv done” Sat down for my appointment. The woman upfront was nice and pleasant to talk to. However, one of the medical assistants there (Alicea) was unprofessional, rude and misrepresented herself as the nurse in charge. At the time she was trying to start an iv on me, my experience was nerve racking. She didn’t know what she was doing so I have ask her to see someone else. Her comments about how I shouldn’t worry what her title is, was just to start an argument and waste time. I have the legal right know who am giving my arm to when getting an iv at any health facility. Specially when you just sitting down there and looking at my arm and not knowing what to do. I have been asked to answer “what’s the difference between a nurse and a medical assistant” that’s something you would have to figure out or just go back to school sweetie. Hopefully the manager can address this issue and correct the staff and re-train them so they don't lose more patients.

Negative experience: i would give no stars but in order to post I had to mark one star. This is my first review ever however I am so deeply saddened as to how this office managed my sons "annual physical". The number of "recommendations (echocardiogram/x-ray and follow-up visit)", over billing and untruth when speaking to the insurance on a three way conversation was upsetting. One example: When I told the insurance that my son saw a nurse practitioner on his visit and did not see the Dr, she told me that was not possible as there was no nurse practitioner on staff. I later went to the website and there is a nurse practitioner on the site (although she is no longer there effective 1/19) and in fact she saw my son on his first visit(end of December). I would plea to anyone when seeking medical management please educate yourself, ask many questions ( do not assume anything) and be an advocate for yourself. I am not making any opinion regarding the the Dr's. I would not recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Lipson as a primary care physician. I am so grateful to him for being so thorough, knowledgeable, patient and caring. He is the only doctor out of many for 2 years that helped me to lose weight immediately. He helped me to feel better by taking his extensive blood tests and making sure I was on the right vitamins and supplements. I had unique health concerns that no other doctor could help me with, but Dr. Lipson knew just what to do! He is a walking medical book of knowledge. Being treated by Dr. Lipson has truly changed my life in the most positive ways. I am very grateful.

Negative experience: If I could give 1/2 a star or no star I would. Very disorganized and wait times are atrocious. Woman at the front desk is loud and chatty and doesn’t do her job effectively or efficiently. I went in for a basic blood draw and to pick up results with their general practice doctor and spent more time with the nurse than the doctor. Then at my next appointment to get results, which could have just been picked up or emailed, I waited and hour and a half past my appointment time just to speak to the doctor for less than a minute and sat in the exam room alone for another 30 minutes. Also, exam room doors are left open while patients are in them. Very unprofessional. The only redeeming quality is ONE of the nurses, otherwise DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Fantastic experience: Just saw this dr for the 1st time & had the best visit at a dr I’ve ever had. I lost the address & phone number for my appointment so I couldn’t go since i lost all the info. An hour after the scheduled appointment the receptionist called & was so understanding told me come in any time I want no big deal and no rush. Came right away she was the nicest friendliest receptionist to literally everyone from me to the person behind me to the mail carrier who dropped off the mail. “Hello beautiful” to everyone, that receptionist is the best. At the end I didn’t realize my urine lab was going to cost me extra and she said don’t worry about it we will take care of it for you no cost when I told her can you throw out the urine sample I can’t afford it. Says now that I’m a patient you don’t even need to make an appointment just show up and they will see me, unbelievable service. Best experience I’ve ever had in a dr office. I recommend to everyone!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Most recently, I have been seeing Dr Brad Lipson as my General Practitioner (I guess in the US they call it a Primary Care Physician) and I must say he is the best GP I’ve encountered so far!! I initially came just for a general wellness (annual) check up and then subsequently due to severe flu symptoms. As a veterinarian, I can say he is extremely knowledgeable from a medical perspective, gives a comprehensive and thorough exam, and he is also a lovely person in general! He is able to educate me on any queries I have, and clearly he has a wide knowledge of general medicine, yet comes across very humbly. You will not be disappointed! The lovely ladies at reception and the nurses have also been super friendly and personable, and you can tell that everyone in the office has a very positive vibe!

Fantastic experience: I started with Dr Moulavi years ago and was always a great doctor. Now I work with Dr Lipson who is also a great doctor. Also very reasonably priced. They understood I do not any longer have insurance and were more than happy to work with me. Not just there to take your money and get you out, they really care. And the ladies in the front always leave me with a smile on my face. Best practice I've ever worked with, highly recommended in all regards. Thank you Dr Moulavi, thank you Dr Lipson, thank you Renata, and all others who work with them!!!

Fantastic experience: Only doctor I will go to in Southern Florida.. Who I can sincerely say I trust with my health care. Extremely down to earth and do will do whatever it takes to help. The first day I went into their office very nervous not knowing what to expect, walked out with a smile knowing I was taken care of not just pushed out the front door. They gave me a blood scan, asked several questions to insure my health needs. This place has changed my life and the people that work here are wonderful, full of life and plenty of energy believe me LOL. They make me excited to come back for my next visit, rather than loathing the idea. It's generally an in and out process and they will do anything they can to schedule you in as early a possible. As a suggestion make sure you schedule a day in advance from my experiences with Smart for Life that's all it takes to get Grade A health care. Sincerely... Fantastic experience: I love it here so much you can feel the love from the minute you walk in, they are ALWAYS happy to see their patients. I left the ER and my OLD primary didn't have time to see me, (mind you I just came out the ER.) I called Dr. Moulavi and he was able to see me right away. He is so smart, and has such a great way with patients along with the nurse practitioner Brenda she is absolutely wonderful! They are both outstanding they work with each other, so if one is unavailable (which is usually never they are always available.) the other one can see you. I will never go you another doctors office again! They won me hands down, they are what health care is all about! THANK YOU SMART FOR LIFE! XO

Fantastic experience: I first went on the diet 10 years ago with great success. Now 10 yrs and 15 lbs later I'm back. I walked in and was happy to see Renata & crew were still there...best of all, Renata remembered me and greeted me by name! Lots of great new products and same tlc by staff. Fantastic experience: I love the products!! I have failed every diet and this is the only diet that I have been able to keep. I was on the diet for six weeks and lost 15 pounds! I was never hungry and for the first time my sweet tooth did not sabotage my diet. It was very easy to stay on, I saved money on my grocery bill every week, and I loved my Carmel protein bar that I ate for my evening snack.The peanut butter cookies are my second favorite. I also drink more water now that I can add the natural, zero calories, flavoring. I highly recommend this and in fact it was recommend to me Dr. Lesile McKnight, my holistic doctor. It works!

Fantastic experience: If anyone is even thinking about trying to lose weight you should start right here! First I would like to review this particular Smart for Life Office: I was referred to this office by my father as he lives near here and I am living in Indiana. I have been working with Renata for the past year and first and foremost let me say she truly knows customer service! She has been extremely helpful along my weight loss journey. She is always a delight to talk to on the phone and gives tips on things to try and never makes me feel like I am just a random customer. She is a true asset to the program. She also gets me my orders quickly and on the rare instance where there was an issue she goes out of her way to make it right. As for the diet, I started back in December of 2012. I am 6' and I used to weigh ~318lbs and had high cholesterol and was pre-diabetic. With a busy job and two 2 year old twin boys trying to lose weight is not an easy task, but a necessary one. To be honest I started off strong for 2 months and it worked great, but then I fell off the wagon for a few months. On top of that I started eating nothing but burgers and .takeout food every day. I made up my mind to get serious and went on the smart for life program again, this time even more determined and I am currently no longer pre-diabetic. My cholesterol is much much better and I am down to 229lbs. By the time people start to read this review I am sure I will be past 100lb loss (not there yet but am confident I will get there). The program is very easy and I see myself making smarter choices in what I eat on top of it. I know some people say it is costly, but I disagree. The costs are cheap when you realize that ALL of your meals except dinner are included. You owe it to yourself to give it a try. Whats the worst that could happen? Give it a solid month and you will see just how easy this is. I do have to admit that the most expensive part of the program is having to keep buying new clothes since my old ones don't fit and then my new clothes don't fit. Now that is costly, but an expense I do not mind having at the moment. Trust me, pick up the phone and give Renata at the Glades Smart for Life Office a call. This thing really WORKS!

Fantastic experience: Each time we visit in Boca, my husband and I feel like family! Dr. Sass, Renata and the staff are friendly and genuine in their encouragement and support to lose weight. We have been successful on the program and you will too! Yes, there are other good programs to lose weight, but this is another healthy alternative, affordable, and comes with excellent customer service.
