Negative experience: Dr Ali ruined my life. I went here for years. She convinced me to take Bio Identical Hormones. I did until I had to stop cold turkey because I had a breast cancer scare. Then a I had a thickening of the uterus because of those hormones, another cancer scare. Plus when I was initially going through this trauma, no one from that office called to check with me, to help me. This place is a scam.

Fantastic experience: I went to Age Management of West Michigan and lost 40 pounds and feel. I didn't just loose weight but gained life changing knowledge on how to eat and drink properly. Even though I'm done with the program I am sticking with this lifestyle change permanently. If you follow the instructions and are honest with the physician you will succeed. Fantastic experience: After several weight loss programs that resulted in the proverbial yo-yo of loss then gain, my wife and I decided to try the HCG program at Age Management. Even though the program is a reduced calorie intake, the cravings and hunger that we experienced on other programs were not a factor. We reached our goals within the 10 week program. (Close to 80 lbs. combined!) A key element we sought was after plan guidance. How to eat healthy and maintain a balanced lifestyle. One thing I specifically wanted was how to avoid eating foods that lead to inflammation and finding ways of limiting the amount of “chemicals” that are present in most foods now. We spent some time in Costa Rica and were amazed at how much better we felt eating the fresh foods provided there. Learning how to find those foods here was essential to us. It’s not always easy to find foods that are clean, but knowing what to look for is essential! We have been off the program now for close to a month. We are maintaining our weight quite easily, living comfortably with the changes and keeping a lot more active lifestyle than before we started our journey!

Negative experience: I was very excited to partner with Age Management of WM to get to the bottom of some of my daughter’s health issues. Unfortunately, after filling out and completing the online questionnaire, I could never get them to actually talk to me or schedule anything! We received one phone message from them and tried to call back 5 different times over the next 10 days. I left several messages asking for a return call and/or an appointment. It’s unfortunate that this place does not value the health and wellbeing of potential patients enough to return a phone call.
Hi Sarah, value the importance of all our patients and potential new patients and have a policy to return all voicemails within 24 hours of receiving. Your voicemails were not received and we are looking into this issue with the phone company so this will not be a problem for other patients. One of our management team will contacted you to assist with scheduling.
Negative experience: Poor referral process. Poor phone system. Tried calling their office all day and their menu options redirects back to the same menu options. This is an update in response to the reply by Age Mgmt: I was unable to leave a voicemail. Every menu option I tried redirected me back to the original menu. There was never an opportunity to leave a voicemail.
Your call is important to us , but due to a high volume of patient calls and staffing issues, we sometimes are not available to take your call and patients need to leave a voicemail for us to return their call. Our policy is to return all voicemails within 24 hours and contact patients and assist them in a timely manner.

Negative experience: Four days leaving messages and still NO return calls. Very poor service! I called Monday, I called Tuesday, I called Wednesday and finally received a call back on Thursday! Your response was not true!

Fantastic experience: I feel the need to write a review to congratulate whoever chose to let go of the former front desk lady and decided to add more diversity to the front staff. Two black ladies have been added and I have to say it is the best treatment I have received since being a patient here. The first time I had to reschedule an appointment, the lady talked to me as if I was a 5 year old, then gave me an appointment for three months later saying they were too busy and it was my fault for not being able to make my original appointment. Last week, I decided to go in person as I had to reschedule again due to a last minute trip. I found the new staff and what I thought was going to be rescheduled for two or three months, I was seen in two days. Not only that, I was told, for the first time, that they have a lab on the office! After a year and a half, I was finally treated with respect. The Second Lady who I saw when I went back in o my appointment, was also super kind and helpful. Congrats!

Negative experience: Dr. Bhatnagar at Age Management of West Michigan is a decent enough physician, who unfortunately, doesn't have a lot of time, and delegates a lot of the patient consultation to the Tracy and Stacey sisters who are so technology-reliant and diagnosis-incapable that it wouldn't be surprising at all if the only way they can actually determine the cause of an illness is via an autopsy. They certainly have a lot of the American attitude, but none of the substance that leads to breakthroughs. In the end, you'll be leaving your inheritors owing a few grand, maybe more, for all the inconclusive tests that you underwent. A question naturally arises and I am not the only American asking this: why am I paying all this money for health insurance? There is also the matter of the elaborate voicemail menu with copious options that nobody responds to (other than scheduling and referrals), even if you leave a message requesting a callback for help with pain. Is this dysfunction and incompetence a symptom of brain drain in Michigan, or just a reflection of the sorry state of American healthcare in general (not just my views--there are articles about these well known issues)? In the meantime, I'm out several grands, still experiencing discomfort, and no closer to a diagnosis after 2 years with this clinic. This is neither appropriate nor compassionate; rather, this is the epitome of irresponsibility--inefficiency and parochialism masquerading as standard procedure and professionalism. The "qualified" health practitioners here should read up on how financial burdens can impact health outcomes and rethink their approach to "integrative medicine". From prior personal experience, an intelligent diagnosis can obviate the endless tests, the expensive bills, and provide swift and lasting relief from pain and discomfort. In conclusion, Age Management is itself in need of age management: they need to discard outmoded views and attitudes, and embrace values and practices that are in better alignment with the 21st century.
Age Management of West Michigan stands by the knowledge and professionalism of all its medical providers. Due to high volume of patients at Age Management, Dr. Bhatnagar is unable to see every patient and has to really on his staff of qualified health care providers to assist in patient care. This is the case at most health care facilities. Chronic pain can be very complex to address and lots of times there is not a definitive answer to the problem. Testing and labs are a necessity in finding the underlying causes of patient illness and pain.

Negative experience: The incompetence of this office is absolutely astounding. After trying to get a simple infection treated unsuccessfully over the course of 4 weeks, we were told by the medical department that urgent care is a better option than our primary care physician's office. Turns out, they were right. Urgent care is far more professional, personal, expedient and effective than this office. A random nurse at urgent care was able to do in 15 minutes what this entire office was unable to do in a month. It should be noted that in over 2 years of using this office, neither of us has ever actually seen see a doctor, and in fact we have never even met our doctor. Don't even *think* of calling this office if you require an appointment on short notice for any pressing issues. This office is staffed by people who are perenially unavailable. Run, don't walk, from this place. At the end of the month, our family will be leaving Age Management for a competent primary care physician's office.

We attempted to talk to you on the phone to get a better understanding of your complaints so we can address any issues with our office and protocols, but was greeted with profanities and insults directed at both our facility and staff and were unable to proceed with an adult conversation.
Age Management of West Michigan's mission is to provide each and every patient with the best health care experience. Our goal is to get patients scheduled in a timely manner with one of our providers, but in instances when we do not have availability on the schedule to get a patient in, we recommend for patients to go to urgent care so the issues can be addressed. Due to the high volume of patients seen at Age Management, the doctors are booked out several months in advance for appointments so short notice appointments are only available with Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners. You are going to find that this is the case at most physician offices.
Age Management providers, whether MD, PA, or NP offer the highest level of patient care with both professionalism and compassion. Your review was very surprising to us since we do not get those patient responses. We are sorry that we were unable to meet your standards of medical care and hope that you find a physician's office that is better suited for you and your family. Fantastic experience: I am over the age of 50, and it has been extremely difficult to lose weight. Within six weeks, I lost almost 18 pounds! This is a lot of weight for me to lose. I have a lot of muscle, so I never am believed when I tell someone how much I weigh. I was hoping to get ten pounds off when I started, but to my surprise, I got back to a weight I haven't been in about 20 years! Thank you AMWM!!!
Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience. The weekly accountability was a huge part of my success I feel. The plans are simple to follow and I was happy to get to lake my own food.
Positive experience: I have had wonderful experiences with Stacy and most of the staff. Unfortunately on the night of my last morning appointment, I had woken up profusely sweating and was running a high fever. I immediately called and of course had to leave a voicemail because they weren’t open yet, to notify them of the illness I had come down with. Instead of a call back, I received a letter with a $45 bill for a no call/no show. I consistently called and left voicemails in every department trying to get in contact with someone who could help me get this straightened out. I received no call backs, but I consistently was sent the bill to pay the $45 no call/no show fee. This was months ago and I still had yet to be given any call backs on this entire situation. The fee has wrongfully been paid by me already. I’m single and pay all my bills on my own. I don’t have an extra $45 to just put towards anything, but after months of trying to get ahold of someone, I finally just gave in. My last appointment I saw a different doctor I had never see before and I explained to her that I am consistently getting sick and a few other concerns I am having. She rushed my appointment then told me “you’re good for a year”. None of my concerns were addressed and clearly, she wasn’t concerned for my health with leaving me with “you don’t need to come back for another year.” I’m sad that my great experiences over the years here have turned into me almost feeling unwelcome. I hate leaving reviews but since no one has made the time to call back on complaints or situations such as mine, maybe leaving a review will show the correct person that there are some improvements that definitely need to be made and situations that should be addressed.

Negative experience: $200 meal delivered, $0 tip ~ be aware the cheap level around there may just translate to patient care, and if i was a betting man I’d bet that was absolutely the case. 10/10 won’t deliver here again short of $200 guarantee and the screenshots are going in the forum so everyone knows, this was a while ago but since google wanted to remind me to make sure my reviews were accurate, I thought I’d remove the simple “yikes” and explain the 1 star, and after reading the other bad reviews I believe myself to be 100% spot on. Cheers New review ~ they did it again! 150 dollar subtotaled order, saw who it was for and dropped like a sack of potatoes, and naw ~ I think lack of tip sounds like a you problem because it definitely wasn’t merchant requested delivery - not making sure the person bringing you gobs of food is taken care of driving quite literally across town reflects poorly on not only that you that didn’t ensure your “3rd party” didn’t snatch the tip or you just didn’t leave one, but overall just shows an apparent lack of accountability on your part - again, my review was spot on

Negative experience: I would highly suggest you avoid Stacey at all costs. She is rude, downgrading, and downright nasty. She does not listen and already has her mind made up on solutions before even walking into the room. It didn't matter what I said or the symptoms I explained, it goes in one ear and out the other. She said multiple times "I don't have time for this right now" to a paying customer with health concerns. By looking at the other reviews, this does not seem like an isolated incident. Don't waste your time and go somewhere else.

Negative experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Stacy for the last 5 years. Over the course of the last 2 years chronic stress coupled with pandemic brought me to a breaking point with my mental health- I mistook this for physical health and tried profusely to explain what was happening to Stacy multiple times and was dismissed, shamed, and it was clear that she was visibly irritated by my actual presence. At one point, I was having chest palpitations and significant intrusive thoughts and I called the office every week for 4 weeks asking if she had advice or follow-up (from a previous pointless appointment) no answer. Not a message, not a phone call, not even the time of day. After leaving and switching to Spectrum Health Physicians on the East Beltline I was in awe of the ACTUAL medical care, time, attention and follow-up. What I'm most thankful for is that after my health was restored, I could resume my responsibilities being a more proactive mom. Stacy is not just incompetent, she is reckless. Please save yourself the time, frustration and money and find a different office to care for you.
Negative experience: I signed up for and paid for the HCG diet program. 10 week program. By the third week I was so sick from lack of caloric intake that I almost passed out 3 times. I also told and showed Alyssa that the exercise program was doing some physical damage. Showed her that my left knee was 3 times larger than my right. She said heat and ice but keep going and here are more exercises you need to do as well. Come to find out after an emergency room visit that I have osteoarthritis in my knee, bone on bone and planter fasciitis in my foot, same leg. I think her intention is to help, but you cannot ignore your patients concerns. You have to be able to develop alternate plans for 56 year old women not give them the same exercise plan as you would a 24 year old. After the third serious dizzy spell, as my husband was catching me, he said that is enough, I want you to be healthy not passing out. I asked that the second payment not be processed as I realized I would not be able to continue but it was processed anyway. Thought that was a bit tacky on their part. Just think that Alyssa was reading from a script and only following what she read, not changing anything even after concerns were raised by me to her.

An office works that works with their patients to act before symptoms develop. 2-REACTIVE: An office that listens carefully to diagnose a problem, prescribe medication, and follow up until symptoms subside. 1-CIRCUS: An office of monkeys throwing poop at each other.

Negative experience: Nothing short of frustration from PA Stacy. She is rude and doesn't seem to care to much about you or concerns. She won't acknowledge multiple concerns unless you switch over to them as their PCP. Did that. Had another consult and she was late by 30 minutes and then rushing through because they were closing soon. She has NEVER offered any help/supplements/etc. to assist with my problems. I was going to her for a "second opinion" and she wanted nothing to do with "other" doctors and stated she would not look at any tests they had performed. I would entertain seeking care from the actual doctors there but no way would I ever go see Stacy again. She made me feel terrible and was very rude to me.
Negative experience: I informed them during my appointment that I was uninsured and unemployed and having trouble paying for the mandatory appointments for my prescription and they then decided to have an impromptu drug test that I only later discovered was $200. I’ve been taking this prescription for years and have never had to take a drug test or heard that such a thing would ever be necessary. I was informed they would not give me the prescription I medically need until it came back clean, which it did, and I was never informed of the cost until much later. There were no other options given.

Negative experience: Dr. Bhatnagar is a good doctor, however, I have not had good experiences with the office staff. In the past couple years we’ve had at least five times where lab work has not been called in resulting in wasted trips and lost time.
Fantastic experience: I have been going here for over a year. I see Stacey Pniewski and she is wonderful, haven't had any issues yet.
Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for a few years now, and Everytime I come in the staff has nothing but smiles. They are very nice here, and they treat their patients with the utmost respect. They are also very thorough, and makes sure that when you leave, your questions and concerns are answered.
Negative experience: I had my first visit with Age Management today based on the recommendation of a friend and my visit with PA Stacy was disappointing at best. My appointment started late which was not a big deal until I reached the end of my appointment and Stacy said I was taking too much time and could not address my issues. She was in the exam room with for 15-20 minutes max. She was dismissive of my health concerns, suggested my symptoms were “mild” when I had mentioned that they were concerning and abnormal for me. She was also visibly put off and irritated when I was asking questions trying to clarify/understand information in regards to insurance and bloodwork. I will try again at this office for my follow up appointment and requested another healthcare provider and am hoping for a better experience next time.

Fantastic experience: I received information about the weight loss program when I needed it most. I went to the seminar and signed up that night. It was the best decision! The program was easy to follow and Alyssa was supportive throughout the entire ten weeks. This is not a diet but a life style change that is sustainable after the program. I feel better physically and emotionally and I'm still losing weight. I give this an A+.

Fantastic experience: When you decide to make a change in your life and drop that extra weight that has been hanging around, go to Age Management of West Michigan and be sure to ask for Alissa Dykstra as your coach/mentor. I was in the 10 week program and dropped a significant amount of weight. Alissa D was there for me all the way. I doubt that I would have done as well without her.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Ali's for many years. She is a kind and thoughtful physician who takes the time to listen to her patients. She is absolutely excellent in her field and is always thorough and proactive with my care. I have always felt as if I am good hands with Dr. Ali. The office staff have improved greatly since I started. Offering a multi-discipline approach allows one to choose a preferred strategy to optimize one’s health, all under the supervision of a medical doctor. Negative experience: I would have given them a 5 star report if Dr. Ahmad was still there. I am an existing patient & called to get an appointment with a another doctor and was told I had to wait 12 weeks before I could get an apt with Dr. Bhatnager. If I wanted an apt with a PA (was told they can do anything a dr can do) I could get in sooner. When Dr Amahad was there, it was a great place to go, but not now I wouldn't recommend Age Management, unless you are ok waiting 3 months for a drs. appointment.
Negative experience: I'M ONLY GIVING 1 STAR BECAUSE OF THE OFFICE STAFF, NOT THE MEDICAL STAFF, THEY ARE AWESOME!!! Love the medical staff, they are the best, they listen and explain everything in detail and in terms you can understand. They take their time and you don't feel like your being rushed ,I recently interviewed my new Dr. ,Dr. Piyush Bhatnagar and I absolutely love him, he went far out of his way to make me feel comfortable and confident in him and answered all my questions and then some, he was willing to work with me on my current health plan and on my future health care and was open to here my concerns and my thoughts on my current health situation and was more than willing to proceed with it and also give me more options. I highly recommend Dr, Piyush Bhatnagar to everyone. On the other side of things. The office staff are not the best, they are rude and do not follow through on calling in prescriptions or calling in tests or calling specialist that you are referred to go see. They try and charge copays when you don't have any. I am not impressed, I hate to even call there to make an appointment or refill a prescription or ask any questions, they get rude and act like your asking them to cut off their arm, they talk over you, and don't want to answer any questions pertaining to payment that have been made that you were not supposed to have been charged for, and when asked where the money went ,you get no response and a rude answer. I dread calling there. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because of the office staff period, Not the medical staff.
Negative experience: Long waits, dismissive and rude staff, and everyone who works there tells you something different...Poor bed-side manner and very disorganized...this is a mill clinic there to maximize profits and not patient experience.

Negative experience: I went here yesterday and upon arrival I wasn't acknowledged until I made my presence known. I went in the back to be treated by the nurse. I had all of the normal stuff done. Like weight height ECT. After I had my strep throat test taken I waited for 45 minutes when they nurse said it should only be 6 minutes. Then I had the flu test done which took another 30 minutes. So at the end of my visit I was told that she doesn't know what's wrong with me and was only repeating everything I had told her about my illness. I will not be returning to this place. I high suggest that you guys stay away from this place because they don't know what they are doing. I went to the urgent care today and got prescribed four types of medicine because I have 3 types of illnesses. If you want something to get done don't go here they are a waste of time and in my opinion a scam.. this doctor does not know what she is doing.

Negative experience: At Age Management of West Michigan, they know next to nothing about Medicare. I went for an appointment two days ago for blood work. They said they did not know about "Welcome to Medicare" which is a free screening within your first year of eligibility. They do not know anything about billing correctly (I have no money for health care this year, but I am keeping up Medicare insurance payments, so it matters greatly to me that they do not send me dun letters for services that are free under Medicare). For example, the literature (see the online Medicare booklet "Your Guide to Medicare's Preventive Services") explains that blood tests for diabetes and cardiovascular disease are completely free of charge (no co-pay, no annual deductible) to patients who are instructed by their doctor to have these tests. At the lab desk within this clinic, they could not assure me that they would bill my lab work this way. It seems they are willing to insist on their own ignorance at my expense. There is a whole new area that has recently opened up for Medicare patients (Age Management of West Michigan seems oblivious to recent Medicare changes): These changes mean that many preventive screenings are completely free of charge to patients who need them, things like urinalysis, mammograms, and most blood work. Yesterday, I talked to a Medicare agent on the phone; he explained very, very clearly that the clinic is wrong. All necessary blood analysis ordered by a doctor is completely free of charge under the new guidelines for preventive care. A big problem is that even when I do their homework for them, they do not listen or care. My initial interview in the spring was free of charge; I explained to everyone I encountered (from billing staff to the Nurse Practitioner) that I had not seen a doctor in 30 years, and that I had just started Medicare, and that I was looking for a basic health screening. They should have understood that that visit was covered by "Welcome to Medicare." When I called billing and pointed out their mistake, not only did they not change the status of that visit to "Welcome to Medicare," they sent me the same wrong bill again. They really need to up their game. Here is one thing they know in spades: How to turn a visit to the doctor into a bureaucratic nightmare (which is most certainly not good for your health).
