Fantastic experience: amazing facility! was very nervous coming in, dr. Sophie answered all of my concerns and didn’t dismiss anything, getting my labs done was great. They gave me an ice pack and said that if I feel woozy or anything leaving to let them know. At Wilmington health they never showed any concern for my wellbeing. At the end I got a free tshirt and a little goodie bag!! Highly recommend them as your PCP!! Only this I would like to see improvement on is maybe adding a sound machine or something to the rooms so it’s not dead quiet in there :)

Fantastic experience: My favorite doctor’s office! I had tried to establish care in Jacksonville for 2 years and had horrible experiences. I finally found Avance care and they are absolutely amazing. All of the providers are extremely intelligent, upfront, and honest. They all have great bedside care and provide excellent quality care. They are proactive and get things moving right away. It’s super easy to schedule in the office and their front desk staff are the kindest soft spoken people. They have helped me so much and have honestly been a breathe of fresh air in the medical industry.

Fantastic experience: Avance care is what I imagine medicine used to be like, when doctors were allowed to care about patients and not just numbers. I am extremely thankful I met Dr. Vomer at an event and learned more about their practice. It was extremely easy to get an appointment, the office is clean and the staff are kind and friendly. I never felt rushed or like my problems were being brushed off, and a comment she made regarding labs that I had sent over showed that she actually reviewed my chart before I was seen. If you’re tired of one of the big two groups in town like I was, I highly recommend Avance care.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new PCP after moving to Wilmington and thank God I found Avance Care. Sophie is so attentive and genuinely cares about her patients and their health. She’s very smart and so friendly. She responded quickly when I had a problem with my insurance covering my prescription and was able to find alternative medications that would be covered. I didn’t even have to come in, she had fast responses through the patient portal in the app - which is also very easy to use! Every part of their care team from the front desk to the MA’s were so nice. I highly highly recommend this practice to everyone and anyone!

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give this practice a 10 instead of a 5-star rating. Dr. Emma Vomer, her PA, Sophie Zientek, and all of their staff deserve a 10 in every area. I brought my mother to see Dr. Emma Vomer, as we needed a PCP here in Wilmington, after moving my mother here due to a stroke. We are having numerous issues with my mother’s health due to the stroke, and she had many issues prior to the stroke. Dr Vomer and her staff spent nearly 3 hours with us the first visit, and 2 hours during the 2nd visit, two weeks later. She was very knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, and has been very persistent in advocating for her with other services, and especially helpful navigating these “unchartered waters” we have found ourselves in. These are the things that make this doctor EXCELLENT: 1) KNOWLEDGEABLE 2) GREAT LISTENER 3) ORGANIZED AND CONSCIENTIOUS 4) COMPASSIONATE 5) GREAT ADVOCATE FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES 6) GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER Dr. Emma Vomer has impressed me to the point that I have left my PCP of 25+ years and now see her for all of my healthcare needs. Fantastic experience: I have been so turned off by doctors in the area after witnessing the nightmare of care my mom had received from Wilmington Health over the years. Now that I’m getting older I knew I needed to find my own PCP. I almost immediately knew I found the right office when I stepped in to find out it was Pajama Day for a spirit week the staff was doing. Dr. Sophia was so easy to talk with and I felt like she was actually listening to my concerns.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Avance for shoulder pain and a follow up of a foot stress fracture and was incredibly pleased with my experience. The staff were professional, welcoming, and efficient from check-in to treatment. Dr. Rock Vomer took the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly evaluate my condition, and explain my options clearly. I ended up receiving a steroid injection for my shoulder, and the procedure was quick and virtually painless. Dr. Vomer ensured I was comfortable throughout and answered all of my questions, putting me at ease. It’s been a day and I already feel significant relief, which I am so grateful for. He also assigned PT for both ankle and shoulder! If you’re dealing with sports-related injuries or chronic pain in an area it’s not forever! I highly recommend this Avance clinic for their excellent care and expertise. I’ll definitely be returning for any future needs.

I asked for a recommendation on the Wilmington FB page and Avance Care came up quite often -- I'm so glad I found them! The staff is extremely friendly and efficient. I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time and all my questions were answered with no rushing. I felt like I was heard and concerns were addressed. Fantastic experience: Review Update: I went back to Dr. Vomer to discuss HRT. I had almost given up getting help after 5+ years of going from doctor to doctor and being told I just had to live with my crazy peri menopause and then menopause symptoms. Dr. Vomer listened and said he would help me. HRT and Dr. Vomer are complete game changers. I feel like myself again not some stranger I don’t know. I can’t say enough good things about the care I have received from Avance Care. They value and listen to their patients. Dr. Vomer and his team are skilled, knowledgeable, and friendly. The office is clean and comfortable and new patient registration was a breeze. The in office lab and xray were a huge time saver, since I didn’t have to schedule separate appointments somewhere else, but was able to get these things done in the same visit. Total game changer for me. I felt valued, respected and listened to.

I scheduled an appointment however they called and asked if I wanted to get in sooner which was great. I miscommunicated with Haley the receptionist on my appointment however she worked some magic and was able to get me in, she was very friendly and helpful. Great place with good people.

She was very thorough, asked a ton of questions, listened to all my concerns, and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. All staff members were super friendly while maintaining professionalism. Fantastic experience: Okay. Where do I even start. I have been to countless doctors offices and pharmaceutical buildings in my years of living. It’s always a headache, and don’t even get me started on booking appointments. What a nightmare! But at avance care? They have a whole website, easy to navigate and so simple to setup and appointment! You can even select the doctor you want. I of course went with Rock, it really was a no-brainer. His experience in his field and the pride he takes in his work is unmatched. He recommend several options and alternative routes to take for my illness I was seeing him for. A true master at his craft. Also? Their telemed!? Insanity. It’s so simple and straightforward. Imagine this: you wake up in the morning sick as a dog. You’re dying basically. The last thing you want to do is go to the doctors, but you have to. You’re at deaths door. Fear not. On avance cares website you can setup a telemed appointment and they will call in the comfort of your own home! Truly a genius idea. And the environment in the building? It feels more like home than a doctors office. The front staff are like grandma after a long day of school who bakes you cookies. So warm and sweet. And my word. Don’t even get me started on Hailey Stark. She’s truly a genius, overqualified, and so helpful. Give that girl a raise. She was so communicative and helpful and patient in directing me. She walked me through the website, took my insurance, and help setup my appointment. I will definitely be going back to her, she’s beautiful! And the seats in the lobby are so comfortable, bathrooms so clean, and the water pressure was perfect. The decor was tasteful and felt like it belonged, and the floors were clean. They even let me bring in my emotional support animal scratchy, my white fox. I cannot hype up avance care enough. Please go see them. 9/10

Fantastic experience: I scheduled a consultation and physical with Avance after two recommendations in the past week! My visit went seamlessly. The area is beautiful and clean. I was greeted with smiles and genuine care. Sophie is now my PCP, and she was gracious, kind, and informative. I felt cared for and safe today. I trust them with my whole heart! I haven't felt this secure with doctors for a long time.

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to Wilmington and needed to update my PCP and found Avance Care had an office near. From setting the appointment to going through my first visit I was met with friendly, knowledgable team members. Both Emma and Dr. V were extremely thorough and cared about why I was there and developed a plan to help me. I haven't seen this level of service in quite sometime from a medical facility and other offices should pay attention to how patients are taken care of here at Avance Care-Wilmington...they can learn a thing or two.
