Fantastic experience: A little gem, I was suffering for months just hoping this nagging pain would go away, but it didn't. So I broke down and took a chance at Sexton. They are very affordable, can squeeze you in most anytime you need, and are very personable. They diagnosed me and got me back to feeling great.

Fantastic experience: Once again Dr. Sexton has saved the day. After some home renovations I have been stiff, sore, and struggling with a migraine. Dr, Sexton saw me right away and set me to rights. I can always count on him to fit me in and get me back to my normal self. I have had a lot of back and neck pain over the years. Dr. Sexton has really helped ease the pain and helped me understand how to be proactive to reduce damage that we self-inflict like sitting correctly and posture. I have felt so much better physically and have much more range of motion. He has also helped me with food allergies and weight loss. It's amazing what learning about food allergies and their affects on you both mentally and physically and how to recognize those symptoms. I would recommend anyone to visit Sexton Chiropractic for better health.

Fantastic experience: My back was in a serious pain. I couldn't walk with my back straight. I found Sexton Chiropractic and Wellness by Google search and made a same day appointment online. Doctor Sexton showed great empathy looking at me walking in his facility. He took X-Rays and performed chiropractic adjustments on my back. I felt a lot better after the first treatment. He explained my x-rays result. He also had me utilize one of his traction tables, and instructed me how to care myself at home. After 4 sessions within a week, I am healed, and feel free and healthy again. Dr. Sexton is extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. His front desk staff is also very friendly and efficient. The facility is very clean and very well equipped. I am grateful that Dr. Sexton relieves my pain and discomfort. I will keep visiting him for routine adjustments to maintain and improve my wellness.

Fantastic experience: After a few days of immense pain, I came to Sexton Chiropractic to see what could be done. Almost immediately, Tim knew what needed to happen to put my body back in order. After my first visit, I gained 90% of my mobility and completely eliminated the pain that had been plaguing me.

Fantastic experience: My back was screaming with pain- was able to get an appointment quickly. Dr. Sexton took time to explain what was causing my pain, plus gave me an adjustment, plus mapped out a plan for a pain free future (without the use of medication which was important to me). Big space with neat atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. Clean. Easy to find. Wheelchair accessible. Accepts most insurance I believe.

Negative experience: I was seen by Dr. Sexton after a car accident last January. The other drivers State Farm covered the costs as they were found at fault. The Sexton clinic decided to pocket half of the insurance money and report it as unpaid in my name to the credit bureau. It has been disputed, as I have record of all of the payments made to Sexton by State Farm. When I called to ask about this ‘mistake’, the woman Paige who works the front desk told me they were paid in one large check and that they weren’t paid until this last fall. Telling me they didn’t know ‘it wasn’t fully covered until then’. State Farm paid them in checks and as digital payments, over 14 times. Luckily, like I said, this has been disputed. After asking Paige to explain how this happened I have not been able to reach them. They have been reported to the BBB as well as reported for insurance fraud. Taking advantage of people who are injured is gross. Bring your business elsewhere. They are negligent, dishonest, and sloppy. Leaving a paper trail and refusing to give me an explanation is astounding to me. They also have a brand new large location with brand new equipment, with big letters in the windows advertising they now accept Medicaid and Medicare. Interesting, to say the very least.

Fantastic experience: With years of treatment elsewhere and still having pain and issues, I wanted a second opinion. After finding Sexton chiropractic on Instagram I decided to inquire. At first anyone is skeptical of a new provider but after meeting with Dr. Sexton I felt confident in his knowledge and his compassion for how I felt. During my consultation he was professional polite and respectful. His questioning reminded me of symptoms i have been experiencing that i had no idea were related to chiropractic care. He adjusted my pelvis and provided me with a lift in my boot as well as sleeping instructions to accommodate for any soreness I may experience. His treatment and post treatment care instructions were spot on and provided me with more relief than I ever thought possible without surgery. In short Sexton chiropractic is a wonderful provider and I urge ANYONE to see Dr. Sexton.

Fantastic experience: I love this Chiropractor. He has helped me with lower back pain . Neck pain. Times when I've felt so much pain I could hardly walk. I've went to him for years. Hes helped make my body HEALTHY and without pain. His office is calm and CARING staff. Feels like home.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sexton is the best!! Had some ribs out of place that was causing extreme pain. Texted him at 6am on a Sunday for suggestions on how to ease it until the office opened on Tuesday. He told me he'd meet me at the office and did an adjustment!! Negative experience: Update......staff WAS nice. That's why there is 2 stars. But that's about it. Been going for about a year and I'm still not any better and got a surprise when i was told i owed more then what was in our agreement/contract. Very kind( is where it ended)and has been helping get my body back aligned( but didn't)

He fixed my neckpain and nerve pain in my foot in no time before. I’m going to his office again for lower back and hip pain. t’s a large cozy office. If you’re looking for a good Chiropractor on the south side, I suggest you give Dr Sexton a try.

Fantastic experience: Best place to get ur hips inline.......I've been going to chiropractors for 25 years! Dr. Sexton has helped me so much. He is straight forward so what u see is what u get. I've been going to him for 12 years. Paige is also wonderful! I always love visiting with them when I go in too. Do you my job I travel and I have to go to other chiropractors locally where I am temporarily and I always can't wait to get to Sexton because others never get my neck and hip in like he does! Negative experience: My wife didn’t want to give them a bad review since she says the doctor was friendly, but I think somebody should tell other people the truth about them since all you see of them is good reviews and not the truth. I will tell you this. I would recommend you go find someone else and save your money. My wife has been going to them for months and nothing has improved, she initially went to the doctor because she’s been having terrible neck and shoulder blade pain and the doctor said it was because her neck is flat and spine is twisted, he assured her he’d align her spine and help her gain the curvature of her neck back again and that she just had to trust the process, we trusted the process for $2000+ and 6+ months and her neck and spine are exactly the same, her pain is worse some days or the same others, we expected they’d refund at least half of what we spent in promises that never happened, not even minor improvement and all we are receiving back is $300+. I would say do not trust the process and don’t pay this clinic upfront because you won’t see your money’s worth.

He has helped me with my back & the pain that went along with it. He has also helped my headaches. I have been on once a month to every 6 weeks preventive maintenance & I feel wonderful. Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Sexton Chiropractor for about a year now; weekly treatment for diabetic neuropathy. Happy to say results are showing much improvement. Not 100% yet, but Dr Sexton and April have been diligent in seeing that my treatment is working to improve my quality of life.

Fantastic experience: I am always hesitant to begin new seeing a new chiropractor because my lower back is extremely difficult to adjust and it requires a strong hand. However, I had nothing to worry about with Dr. Sexton. The Executive Assistant is prompt and extremely professional. I received a gift as a new patient which took me back and was very surprising. Dr. Sexton was very fast and proficient in examining, diagnosing, and treatment. He listens and had more than enough strength to adjust my lower, mid, upper back and neck. I walked out feeling like a new man. The only think I could possibly offer as constructive criticism is Dr. Sexton could take it a little slower rather than pushing from one step to another and adjusting so quickly. But, given the day and age; people want fast and are always on the go. So, 5 stars and I would definitely recommend his practice to any and everyone!

Fantastic experience: Three DR.s have told me there is nothing they can do to help me with the tingling and weakness in my legs. Dr. Sexton noticed that my pelvic bone was out of place and after my first adjustment 80% of the tingling and weakness are gone. I honestly couldn’t be more grateful.

Positive experience: I started going to Sexton chiropractic on the south side of Des Moines. While I was becoming comfortable and starting to get relief they had set me up with multiple appointments which I explained I was waiting for funds to come through before I could commit to all of them. I thought things were going well. I received a bill and called to make the payment and cancel appointments, and had intended on scheduling one time appointments until taxes came back. The office manager took offense when I stated that I didn't understand about how the x-rays were part of my coinsurance and I was not saying I didn't owe the bill I was calling to pay the bill and his office manager started getting nasty and insulting me then refused the payment and hung up on me! I called back to make the payment and she picked up the phone and hung up without answering the call. My PTSD is now on high and can't stop shaking all because this individual felt the need to be ugly. I was nice about my concerns and my husband and mother in law heard everything and confirmed I was not rude. It's really unfortunate that a talented caring doctor would allow his office help to ruin his business.... Just saying

Fantastic experience: I started visiting Dr. Sexton several years ago because of headaches, acid reflux, and restless leg feelings. These issues were alleviated under his care. I continue to visit him for periodic adjustments and would recommend him to anyone else experiencing similar issues. Dr. Sexton and his whole staff are awesome and makes you feel welcome!

Fantastic experience: I personally have been a patient for 17 years and choose to call upon Dr. Sexton and staff for treatment before going to my regular physician. I even have my 4 athletic children visit regularly just to keep them in physical alignment as much as possible. They actually ask to come for adjustments. Dr. Sexton is always in the know about new treatments and practices. I would always refer him to anyone who is willing to try or looking for someone new for chiropractic care.

Negative experience: Never had a bill for any chiropractic work done with my insurance. I received a 200+ dollar bill today. Not to mention they did electric shock therapy on me and made me walk clear across the building into their adjustment rooms. I was in tears! Will never go there again!!!!

Negative experience: Went there after a car accident, told me I wouldn't need to worry about the bill until after I settled. I quit going to my appointments but kept in touch ; few months later found out my bill was in collections. So much for not needing to worry until I settled. Charged me 700+ dollars for him to put ice on my back and readjust it 2 times. Over charged for services because it was an insurance matter and then because it was taking to long to settled turned the bill in to collections.

Fantastic experience: I came to Dr. Sexton for to look at my thumb that was twitching all of the time. I had seen several doctor but none were able to diagnose me or help. It only took two treatments and for the first time in two years my thumb stopped moving. Dr. Sexton made such a big difference in my life
