Improved Motions Advanced Physical Therapy and Performance

Fantastic experience: Having just finished up with 12 physical therapy sessions here, I just wanted to say that Improved Motions is definitely 'Advanced Physical Therapy'. Not only the advanced equipment they bring to the table (like the restricted blood flow machine they used on me to promote rapid muscle growth where I needed it most) but also the advanced knowledge and techniques they (especially Dr. Katelyn Myers!) brings to the table for every session!

Fantastic experience: Dr Mann has done a great job of evaluating and treating my impacted humerus. It's a relatively rare injury, but he had no problem in coming up with different modalities that were effective while not too painful. Thanks to him I'm on the road to recovery. His sense of humor and kind manner made the 3 per week sessions very tolerable. I've made tremendous progress and , for that, I am very grateful.

Fantastic experience: I came into Improved Motions barely able to pick up something from the ground without pain. Katelyn took the time to listen and come up with a plan to get me back to where I wanted to be. Each session I felt progress, and even if I had a setback, I was able to recover faster than I ever had before. I finished my last session deadlifting different weights for reps that I hadnt done in years. The road to recovery has its ups and downs but I know Improved Motions is there if I need help getting through the hard points.

Fantastic experience: My daughter plays softball and hurt her knee in a skiing incident during winter break. We were referred to Ortho who immediately said surgery. We wanted another opinion, and our gym recommended Improved Motions! After her first evaluation, we knew we made the right decision by not rushing to surgery. The root cause was quickly identified and after only a few weeks of customized treatments and daily exercises at home, my wrist strength showed significant improvement! I was skeptical at first but am so glad I changed my mind. I highly recommend this place for all your physical therapy needs. It has state of the art equipment to help you heal even faster. Fantastic experience: I am updating my Google review! If you haven't tried the hyperbaric chamber at Improved Motions, you don't know what you're missing! As somebody who suffers chronic pain, I get more relief from these treatments than I do my prescription pain relievers. Many people have asked me if I get claustrophobic, or if the pressure bothers me, and I am here to tell you it doesn't and I don't. The pressure is no more than what I feel when I fly. And I don't get claustrophobic because there's a huge window and I get to relax and watch television during the treatment. I encourage anybody living with pain to try this!

Fantastic experience: Originally I had what I thought was just some minor back pain that I just pushing through until it became a bigger issue and then I could barely move. As some that exercises frequently this was incredibly frustrating. Mike was able to almost instantly diagnose what was going on and get me on the path to recovery. It is amazing to be back to myself again and able to move forward towards my fitness goals. The knowledge and services available made for a creative solution for my physical therapy and I would highly recommend Improved Motions to anyone regardless or age or physical issue, the services are really able to be catered to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Came to Improved Motions after trying to heal a sprained ankle for months. Tried podiatrist, YouTube, all the things. After one session with Dr. Mike, I walked out the door. After 6 weeks in care, I was able to run, jump, chase my littles around pain-free. Dr. Mike is a wizard, and seriously knows his stuff. Fantastic experience: I don’t know where I would be without Improved Motions! They have been instrumental in my recovery from a very traumatic wrist fracture/surgery and I only wish I had found them sooner in my journey. After just 8 sessions I’ve regained almost full mobility, and the level of pain has decreased almost 100% from where I was when I came in. They are now working on my strength and I can’t believe how far I’ve come in just 6 weeks! The physical therapists are extremely knowledgeable and kind, they will push you but also know the limits and will work with you to make the experience as comfortable as possible. They have so many tools they utilize to get the best results, and I can’t recommend them enough as I was going to another PT/OT for many months with little change or progress. It’s highly worth the time and money to work with them. And shoutout to Lindsay the clinic director extraordinaire who held my hand while I cried a few times :) They are all around good people and very experienced therapists, I can’t thank you guys enough

Fantastic experience: After 3 repeated dislocations and continued ineffective physical therapy from mainstream care, the only last option was surgery. After surgery I found improved motions and was immediately taken under Dr. Michael Mann’s wing. I could tell he was extremely knowledgeable about physical therapy and exactly the person I wanted helping me get back to full ROM and sports as quick as possible. My surgeon told me I had 4-6 months until I could be back to sports and activities. After 2 months I was golfing and lifting with Michael Mann just like it was back to normal. The care I received from this physical therapy institute is second to none and I truly am grateful for how Michael and Lindsey at improved motions affected my plan of care. They are the best physical therapy care in south Florida probably even the United States.

Fantastic experience: The hyperbaric is truly amazing for injury recovery. I do a ton of sports/recovery with daily cold plunge and infrared. Even cupping at home etc. But when i got Achilles tendinitis, the hyperbaric has me back in action in no time. I was skeptical but it works!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough amazing things about Michael and Lindsay! I participated in a crossfit competition called the Sea Dog Summer Showdown last weekend and after my second workout my quads became very tight and sore. Michael and Lindsay were so kind and accomodating to not only give me treatment in between my workouts but to allow me to sit and relax in their gravity chair when I wasn't competing. Not only is Michael amazing at what he does, but he and Lindsay are both so kind and so professional. Not only did my teammate and I get first place in our heat after he loosened up my quads, but we ended up taking third place in our division out of 22 teams! I injured my leg/hip flexor training for downhill skiing last winter. It hurt all the time, and it kept me from doing everyday activities. Thanks to Improved Motions, I have already booked another ski trip, and I am able to do every day activities without pain again. Dr. Mann is very attentive with his one-on-one personal therapy and provides you with 100% of his attention. While others might just use your run of the mill exercises, he uses top notch equipment to be able to create and provide you with a personalized plan to really focus on your injury. Fantastic experience: I came to see Michael because my shoulder was hurting so much that I was having difficulty doing my daily workouts, sleeping and taking my sports bra off. As of today my treatment is over and I can say that I am completely healed. I love that Michael doesn’t just treat the one area you may be complaining about. Instead, he looks at the entire body to make sure that he addresses and resolves whatever is involved in causing the pain. I come from a family of doctors and orthopedic surgeons, and I have rarely seen somebody with such mastery of anatomy and physiology. I cannot recommend Michael and his team any higher!

So I just fought it out for two years, hoping my body would heal itself. Anyone who deals with pain daily knows how it drags you down. My husband who had bad siatica and back pain signed up for Physical Therapy at Improved motions and within his first two sessions I noticed his improvement. So I decided to take the chance as well! After going to several different doctors and physical therapists with no improvement, Dr. Mann alongside Dr. Edmunds were able to create a treatment plan that got me back on my feet doing everything that I enjoy. The hyperbaric chamber alongside cryotherapy and physical therapy helped me recover faster than I possibly could have imaged. Fantastic experience: Improved Motions has worked wonders for my injury. After having surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon, the recovery was going great until I pushed it a little too hard, too early in the recovery. Follow ups with the surgeon and new MRI's showed nothing out of the ordinary and suggested rest. After several months of limited activity with little improvement, I started working with Dr. Mann and the treatment has really helped me continue the recovery. I'm still not 100%, and probably will never be, but significant progress has been made over the last 10 weeks and I'm almost back to where I was prior to reinjury. I highly recommend Improved Motions for anyone struggling with lingering injuries, looking for improved recovery or needing supplemental physical therapy to their existing regimen.

Fantastic experience: I have been though physical therapy multiple times to try and get my shoulder impingement, hip(s), and lower back issues treated with limited success. From the first visit I knew that the team as Improved Motions was different from other physical therapists. They were immediately able to pinpoint issues that I was having and explain them to me in ways that made sense while also providing insight into what the treatment plan would look like. When I went in I could barely raise my left arm above shoulder level and even getting there was painful, my right arm was not far behind. My hips and back caused me pain when sitting, standing (as a teacher this is a problem), driving, pretty much anything but lying down. By the time I was done with physical therapy I was pain free with a level of mobility I haven't seen in many years. I chose to continue treatment with their performance coaching team and found them to be just as adept at their job as the therapy team. The real test of the results camp on the last 2 weeks with 4 days of driving in a 10 period and 3 nights sleeping on a cot as Boy Scout Camp with my son. The driving wasn't fun, but I didn't have agonizing lower back and hip pain with need to take a break every hour or so. As for the cot, it wasn't comfortable, but it didn't take me 20 minutes to get out of it in the morning like it did the year before. I start back in the gym on Monday for the first time in years knowing that the team at Improved Motions has given me the knowledge and tools to get where I want to be. I cannot thank them enough for giving me back my life pain free. I know that I will be back, whether it's a nagging pain or injury, some help with getting past a particular training plateau, or just stopping by to visit.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mann is truly passionate about helping to improve the quality of life for his patients. I have known him for many years and he is a wonderful human, but I was unprepared for the physical therapist in him to come so naturally. And while I have been his friend for some time, I have only been his patient for about a month and through four sessions. His initial diagnosis was spot on and each subsequent session has brought immense relief. He is encouraging in his quest to help you heal yourself - his ever present reminder to prioritize yourself (Do as I say, he says, not as I do ) has encouraged me to stay on track with completing my “prescribed” exercises. Fantastic experience: Dr. Mann is a knowledgeable, passionate, and patient physical therapist. Through a potent mix of traditional and advanced physical therapy techniques Michael was able to rehabilitate my shoulder in just under a month. He is also trained in Graston techniques for soft tissue mobilization and holds a certification from the Gray Institute. I could not recommend a more well qualified physical therapist or physical therapy experience.

I have been to many different physical therapist around town and this is the first time the program was tailored just to me and not the same routine that traditional therapist follow. Their modern approach provides the most current and ground breaking techniques to assist in your healing. Even after my first session I could see improvements. They worked on me unlike other therapist and they provided me with completely different exercises. Before coming to Improved Motions advanced physical therapy and performance I was with another physical therapy group. I was not making progress with them and my next option was going to go back to the neurosurgeon. But now that is not the case and I’m on the correct path to mending my body. I can’t thank these therapists enough!

Improved Motions helped my client eliminate his shoulder pain and increased his range of motion in minimal sessions. I contacted Improved Motions to help strengthen my shoulder and trap pain as well. Fantastic experience: Dr. Mann was a blessing to my life. I was suffering from back pain every day. Dr. Mann pinpointed the source and developed a plan to get me back on track. After a couple of weeks of therapy with Dr Mann I was able to do things I would have never been able to do before his therapy. Fantastic experience: Dr. Mann is very professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Being an Occupational Therapist myself, I’ve worked with many therapists and he is by far one of the best physical therapists I’ve met. Fantastic experience: I recently had a sports related issue with my knee and wanted to avoid any kind of cutting or surgery. The gym I go to has several doctors and nurses who work out there. I mentioned my knee issues to the Dr’s that I thought could help and they mentioned that Dr. Michael Mann would be my best chance to relieve/repair my knee issues without opening me up. They were right.. After 5 appointments my knee is like new and most importantly, no surgery. Dr. Mann comes to you and works on you in the comfort of your own home. Highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and thinks outside the box. He has an athletic past himself, so if you’re an athlete or have an athletic related injury, this is the guy you want to remedy your issue. I’d use him again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic experience: I have delt with shoulder pain for over 2 years. I assumed I had a torn cuff. I have never had surgery before so I always found an excuse not to make an appointment and just deal with the pain. I had trouble sleeping and eventually keeping up with my daily routine. I reluctantly decided to try other alternatives to surgery. Luckily Improved Motions was my first attempt, in the first appointment Dr. Mann assured me we can relieve the now intense pain in a short time without any surgery. Fantastic experience: Mike is an awesome physical therapist. He is a consummate professional who out diagnosed my chiropractor didn’t want to see me x rays and found my real issue !! My Hip not my back ! Once he found out he went to work and I have had pain relief and an increased quality of life !!
