Negative experience: I really used to love this place but my goodness the ridiculousness of the prices makes my head spin. The ladies that used to work here were genuinely friendly and helpful, they kept me coming back. Now the shelves are filled with overpriced items and the help is only offered begrudgingly. It's sad that a neighborhood staple has turned into this.
Negative experience: Been trying to order sierra Nevada goat feta cheese for four months but I guess chuck doesn't want my money? Pretty simple to do so but not for their current manager. Wanted a case but naw. Just Ridiculous!
Fantastic experience: I havent been here in years... Happy to walk in here and get my delious fresh jucing! Love every here, unfortunately I cannot find my protein soy chicken strips or plants protein crumbles.

Fantastic experience: I stopped here today hoping to find some natural cough drops. I found some Manuka Honey ones with Lemon. While I was there, I looked around the rest of the shop. They sell essential oils, soaps, vitamins and supplements, organic produce and grocery items. They even have a little cafe inside the store. The proprietors were very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to patronizing them again.

Fantastic experience: Everyone who works here is always very nice, helpful & knowledgeable. It is a great place to purchase supplements and other essentials.. Prices are very reasonable many things the same or close to the same price as you find online.. I've told everyone that I know about this place they now go on a regular basis. They carry my favorite Solaray supplements & vitamins. Stop by, you won't be disappointed!

Negative experience: I had always heard about how overpriced Chuck's is, but out of desperation for relief from a sinus infection, I went there anyway. I bought a bottle of Now brand, Curcumin (Turmeric) 60 capsules, for $25.99. I thought that was pricey, but bought it anyway. The next day, just out of curiosity, I looked it up on Amazon. The EXACT same product on Amazon is $11.47!!!! Now I realize Chuck's has overhead, but a 126% markup over Amazon, come on. I will never set foot in their door again and I will try and make up that $14.52 in bad publicity for Chuck's. Live and learn.

Giving high praise for a being able to access such primordial vital foods and products, amongst south Florida’s over saturated homogenized Barbie and ken gmos. Negative experience: Not a single person who worked there had a mask on - I left. To answer your reply - just because there is no mask "Mandate" does not mean it is not best practices to do so. You don't want to limit anyone's freedom? I'll be sure to let my nursing home patients know how important that is to you. I'll exercise my freedom and shop elsewhere.
We apologize that you feel that way, however we do not have a mask requirement for our customers or our employees. You can wear a mask if you choose to, however in Florida there are not any mask mandates and we do our best to keep our staff and customers safe. We exercise disinfecting and cleanliness and do not want to restrict anyone's freedoms here.

Negative experience: This was an atrocity, and I say that as someone who was ideologically motivated to like this place because of their position on health freedom. Only one item on my shopping list was available. Pick up a few more things. Discover when I get home that all items were expired, most by several months - how do you have a grocery store in which stock isn't rotated?!? There's taking a position on health freedom and then there's gross negligence - selling long since expired food, especially dairy, is dangerous.
Negative experience: They had many aisles of vitamins I would have liked to look through, but no one working there was wearing a mask. The workers need to be trained to use the cash registers, no one was helping the lady at the cafe, when there were workers walking around doing nothing, and overall we just felt uncomfortable there.
Positive experience: The juice I got was delicious but the prices are a little high.
Negative experience: I went in recently and no one was wearing a mask, certainly doesn't make me want to go back.

Fantastic experience: I love this store & frankly, don't know what I'd do without it! The employees are knowledgeable, helpful & accessible. Always eager to help. Nick is one of the employees & is the reason that I even went back a second time. He's always up for conversation & knows his stuff. I now look forward to stopping in a few times a month. I'm vegan & also require gluten free products...they have plenty of options & I'm always discovering something new! I can't wait to go to the salt cave next month & the fresh salads & smoothies are always a treat!

Fantastic experience: The employees were so wonderful and very helpful! My 2 girls and I ate at the windmill Cafe and we loved everything. We can't wait to go back to eat there. I can't remember the sweet lady's name that made our food but she was as nice as could be and so sweet to my girls. Richard helped me in the store and his knowledge blew me away! So grateful for his help. We can't wait to visit more often!

Fantastic experience: A ton of great options, weather it's keto, Paleo, vegan, gluten-free, they will probably have what you're looking for. Also has a great selection of supplements, make sure you go see Richard if you need the right stuff. The cafe serves some great organic chicken salad and vegan/low-carb desserts. Staff is nice and helpful.

Negative experience: Last week I stopped at Chuck's Natural Fields Store to purchase Garden of Life Coconut Oil. None of the employees at the front end were wearing a mask. They can't care about the patrons. I was very disappointed by what I saw and I plan to never shop there again.
Negative experience: Employees need to be educated on current matters, they don’t wear masks and then they talk about not wanting to because of their own beliefs, this is white privilege at its best. I will not be going here anymore due to their lack of education and respect. It’s ironic that this is a health food store but I’ve noticed for some time now that every time I have gone I’ve caught the unprofessionalism on many levels.
Fantastic experience: Freezers are pretty NEW... so idunno why somebody left a neg comment about that. Love Chuck's kale salad,brocoli salad and chicken salad. Sometimes Chuck has a buffet..i think once a month. Everybody come to them because I think he is testing it out..if he gets enough customers to support his buffet then hopefully one day chuck could have a full organic buffet for us..no other restaurant offers a totally organic buffet in the whole state of Florida

Positive experience: Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of suppliments, vitamins, organic bath and beauty products, and produce. Good selection of Bob's Red Mill products. Cafe is great and has a few vegan options too. I'll be back!
Positive experience: The gentleman in the vitamin section is very knowledgeable and willing to help with anything you need. It is a little bit pricey though, for example I bough milk once it was around $7. I later went to another supermarket and found it for almost $4 less
Negative experience: I went in to purchase some probiotics and other items to help with some horrific gastric distress caused by a Z-pack antibiotic and steroid that I was taking for a sinus infection. The guy behind the counter didn't seem to care if someone would need guidance, it was more important to stand there waiting for people to finally come up to check out. The problem with this is, he knew I needed help, since he had started to when I first asked (only showing me one big box of probiotics, declaring "this is what I use"), and then having to answer the phone and told me he would be right back to help, but every time I looked around the corner for him to see if he was on his way back, he was just waiting. He also didn't know anything about antibiotics, so maybe they should start hiring people who are educated in the products that they sell. That to me is what a place like this is supposed to be about, having the knowledge to help people who are having issues under a doctor's care and need the things to get there flora back working properly. I had to leave, my bowels were not having any of that. I will not go back here again.

We are not doctors so are not able to direct you in regards to your antibiotic use, however had thought we were helpful in providing you with something that seemed appropriate to your care at the time to assist you. We apologize your perception was we did not want to help you, as we have in store consulting and classes free of charge. For more than 20 years we have been here to assist and once again, I apologize if it seemed that we were not wanting to help, as it was simply we thought we had answered all of your questions and did not want to seem pushy. We hope you will come back and give us another try and take advantage of our one on one consultation.

Negative experience: Terrible return policy - no receipt means 20% of the original price and only as in store credit. What kind of establishment has no system of inventory for sku’s to track sales in today’s world? Absolutely bizarre.
No receipt means 20% "OFF" the price, not 20% "OF" the price - that's a big difference. I hope that was just a typo in your review & you weren't misinformed. Anyway, the reason we take 20% off the refund if you don't have a receipt, is because you could have purchased the item on our Super Tuesday sale day. Then we would be giving you back more than you paid for the item. Our return policy is clearly displayed at each cash register. I am sorry that you are not happy with your experience and promise you that we were between inventory systems at the time you came in. Please ask for Chuck next time if you should have an issue, as we would really like to accommodate as best as possible.
Negative experience: I was truly disappointed by the poor inventory of their bulk herbs available for purchase. When I asked when they might be replenished I was advised in about a week ot two. Although not ideal and not a good first impression, I smiled, said ok and was willing to make that trip again in two weeks, UNTIL it was time to check out. I agree with the reviewer in a previous review I just read and then some. Not only did the owner give off and awkward vibe , it was down right rude! I spent over 100.00 dollars that transaction and not once did he look up to acknowledge I was even there or speak. It wasn't busy and he did look up and speak to the customer getting in line behind me though. Forget about did you find what you need , thank you, or come again, You know, basic good service but the bread and butter for a small business. Instead, he was almost throwing my items and invoice for signsture down on the counter acting the entire time like I was bothering him. I am always polite to staff of any establishment. I have worked retail and food service myself in the past so I get and know folks can have a bad day BUT this was totally different! He will not have to worry about me darkening his doorstep ever again.

Positive experience: Chuck's is a dependable, good natural foods store that still has that old-school feel of the natural food stores/markets of the 1980s. Sure, you can head over to Whole Foods, Sprouts or Fresh Market but Chuck's still carries organic foods and supplements that are hard to find elsewhere. The selection is not huge, thus keeping it from being a 5-star store. However, if you're looking for a natural food store with a personal touch, Chuck's is worth checking out.

Fantastic experience: Since the renovation they have added and reopen a couple of things. There's a all natural GMO free meat market that sells venison, buffalo and other meats. The deli has reopened and so has the taphouse. The new addition is the Salt cave. It's comprised of 20 tons of pink and with salt. I spent around 10 minutes in there photographing the cave. To say it was an awesome experience would sell it short. I have very server PTSD from 38 years of military experience and events I saw as a volunteer paramedic/firefighter. In a matter of 5 minutes or so I was completely relaxed and my normal hypervigilant was no longer there. It's been about a week since than and every time I feel anxious I have the taste of salt in my mouth and it fades away. It was truly an amazing experience that I'll do again. Positive experience: I loved this place because they used to have a super vegan friendly cafe. The store closed down for a while and just recently opened back up. I visited for the first time today since the re-opening and I was so sad to see the cafe turned into a meat shop. Kind of grossed out. Was told they are building a cafe next door but that’s been in the works for what seems like forever now.... super disappointed. The grocery store has some vegan boxed goods and a small selection of vegan frozen items but they just don’t compare to the fresh food that was being served in the cafe.

Positive experience: Great place to find some specialty products and health foods. I buy all my shampoos, and personal hygiene here. They've got the best cookies right up font by the register. Never tried the juice bar, but it always smells good. Only negative is if you are looking for a certain item, because they are a small store they sell out quick, so sometimes things just aren't in stock. I've gotten spoiled on having things right away, and hate coming back in the week to find my tea flavors. Thankfully they always have more plenty of cookies.

Negative experience: The manager Tina was very unfriendly and rude my two visits. I always give a business two tries before I post anything derogatory on here. I drove from Lakeland to try this place and I was sadly disappointed by the way I was treated by Tina. I love the food. I love everything about this place but she is the reason I will not return. You can have the best items or services but if your staff isn't friendly and helpful even Groupon can't help your business.

Negative experience: If you pre-order a product you NEVER RECEIVE IT. Some staff members enjoy mis- gendering bearded men ..constantly. The "old winkled up lady who does bookings"that was a quote from Chuck himself..well she doesn't not know how to book bands has no taste and is too old to understand what college Genre wants to hear..she said she is a previous marketing experience? What telemarketing? LOL . Chuck you expect area musicians to come perform for free at your open mic BUT I DON'T SEE YOU GIVING AWAY ANY FREE FOOD..RIGHT? HOW WOULD YOU PAY YOUR BILLS? DUH DITTO. Taking advantage of local artist is NOT NICE. I & other fellow musicians do not appreciate your supposed booking "Crip keeper" looking lady, taking away out 1st amendment rights of freedom of speech when we are performing on your stage,Chuck. Thought Chuck's was a safe space but it is not..total opposite,Chuck. And your prices are too high.. DUH.You should have kept Todd as your booking guy. Guess you were not willing to pay him. Just like the $50 you paid me..LOL NEVER AGAIN...And the poor piano guy you paid him a lousy $40 he could not even afford to bring an extra musician for his gig. Chuck you expect customers to pay high prices but when it comes to you paying performers $50 for two hour gig that is robbery. You should ashamed of yourself,Chuck. That's all. Karma. Oh yeah Chuck also your stock is all f ed up at your store...never have what I need can't order anything... what a joke. Is the store just a rich boys hobby? Do you even care about anybody besides yourself? Nice.
Fantastic experience: I went in looking for Oil of Oregano in capsule form and was able to find it from many different manufacturers. The worker, an older man with white hair (I'm sorry I didn't get your name), that helped me actually talked me out of buying a more expensive brand. He showed me that all of the ingredients were the same, as well as the directions. He also recommended another vitamin to help soothe my stomach, since Oil of Oregano can be harsh. Both of the items I purchased have helped me more than traditional antibiotics. I will return to the Brandon location!

Negative experience: I called four or five times, because I didn't have time to go all the way out there to see if they had something for me in the store. They hung up on me 2 or 3 times and the other times they did not even pick up. Based on the customer service they will not be getting my money no matter how good the products they sell.

Positive experience: I just stopped by to pick up a hard to find item (nutritional yeast) that I could not find at my local health food store. So it was just a short visit but at checkout the staff seemed nice as well as knowledgeable about what they sold and had in store. I'll be back for sure!
Fantastic experience: I have no idea what all the negative reviews are about. Yes some prices are higher than Amazon but often items are priced lower or the same as a manufacture's but without shipping costs. Remember.. you get what you pay for. NO employee has ever been rude to me in the 5 or so years I've shopped there. I suggest the Haters are easily offended, entitled feeling and have not taken the time to research prices or items and want to be lead by the hand by people who have other customers to take care of and shelves to stock.
Negative experience: The older woman with the dark hair is not only rude but a know it all and condesending. She tried to tell me my condition can be cured naturally when I had that organ removed due to the condition itself. She followed me around the store after I asked her multiple times to let me shop and I eventually left the store empty handed.

Negative experience: The worst customer service coupled with the most ridiculous prices I have seen. Like others reviews.....I called to verify that they had a product, was assured they did, got there a found they didn't have it and never had stacked it. I spoke to a clown that purported to be the shift manager and was talked down to, had it suggested I was lying, had it suggested I was clueless and treated like an animal even though I remained calm and low keyed. When I suggested I ought to take my business elsewhere I was encouraged, in rude and no uncertain terms that the world would be a better place if I did.
Negative experience: Rude service.....i called to ask if they sold Tigernuts. The young lady who answered the phone told me to hold on. After waiting a minute a male gets on the phone and says rudely "How can i help you". I got transferred without any notification. That part didn't bother me too much. I asked the guy the same question and he said "What are those, I've never heard of them." In a very condescending tone. After that i ended the quickly to avoid me getting mad and going up there in person.
Negative experience: My main problem with Chuck's is that about 1/4th to 1/3rd of the items for sale have no price tags on them. This applies especially in the cold and freezer sections. That's a real pain in the butt at the register. Also, many of the ice cream/frozen items have thawed and been refrozen. That shows a real lack of awareness for the basics of retailing food. Thirdly, the last time I bought fresh herbs the herb containers were arranged in completely random order. Each jar had numerous old sticky label remnants on it. The shelves were disgusting. They have a sandwich bar but you can't even get a cup of naturally grown coffee to wash it down with. Chuck's staff is very young... and some are clueless. I don't usually see anyone at Chuck's over, I would say, 21ish. While high school and college labor is really cheap I just don't feel like opening my heart up to these folks to discuss my personal homeopathic/health/medical needs as I try to select a vitamin. Hire some adults!
Positive experience: I do go in Chuck's on a fairly regular basis. They are OK, but sometimes, like the other readers stated, the staff is less than enthusiastic. A few times I have bought stuff and walked right back in because they didn't give the discount that was stated on the shelf. I noticed that some other readers had that same problem. When something is on special, there is a disconnect with them putting the sale price on the bottle, so be careful and check your receipt (preferably before you leave the parking lot) to make sure you got the special/discount. Also, sometimes staff just "wings it" with an answer. I wasn't satisfied with an answer just last week, so looked it up right there in the store on my phone, and found that two of the associates didn't know what they were talking about. I also pick around at Publix for organic things, as well as Fresh Market, and then I will drive to Rollin Oats if I have the time. They have the biggest selection of organic fruits and vegetables.
Negative experience: I have tried, and tried, and tried to get on board with Chuck's. Every time I am in there it is dirty. Things are not clearly priced (most likely so you grab things without realizing how ridiculously over priced they are), the staff has varied from nonchalant, to uninformed, to flat out rude. This last time i was there, out of desperation since the organic food selection is nonexistent in Brandon (shocker). I accidentally purchased the wrong product and went back the next day to exchange it for a more expensive item. I forgot the receipt at home. Even though the same clerk was there, and REMEMBERED me from the day before, and he claimed to be a manger, he refused to take the exchange. I will never return there and really hope others do not continue to support such awful behavior.
Negative experience: Brandon Chucks once again provides poor customer service. I have shopped this location on several occasions and still the same old story. The people they call management are rude, arrogant and provide nothing but poor service. I asked a simple question about potentially getting a discount on an item and all I got was an punk attitude that was inappropriate and typical from an associate that clearly doesn't care about his job, or the company he works for. The problem wasn't that I didn't get a price I was hoping for but it was the delivery and disrespect I received from this so called manager. Chucks clearly needs to reevaluate the management training program on how to speak to customers and/or they need to have a better hiring module. It's unfortunate that we have to spend top dollar to be healthy but to receive poor service every time you shop their is clearly unacceptable.
Negative experience: Overpriced, Clueless, and Rude! I'm a USF undergrad student who lives in eastern Brandon; I've gone here probably a few dozen times and every time seems deficient to say the least. Like the other reviewers said, they have an impressive selection and that's what I come for! However, when I looked on Amazon to compare the price for some random thing, IT WAS ALMOST A THIRD LESS THAN CHUCK'S. Chuck's price was not justified for just overhead and (most likely) near minimum wage pay for his employees. The customer service is atrocious: I have ALWAYS felt weird when I go in there. The employees either stare at you or say don't look happy to see you. Some of the female employees smile but that's it. Chuck must be from up North because he looks unhappy a lot of the time and acts like a king that shouldn't be arsed for anything. Also, the prices on EVERYTHING have gone up significantly! Hear me out readers: I PEELED THE NEW STICKERS BACK ON A HALF DOZEN ITEMS AND I SAW PRICES THAT WERE THERE JUST A MONTH AGO!! A LOT OF THESE PRICES ARE 35-50% INCREASES OVER THE ALREADY-HIGH PRICES! This was only yesterday: January 11, 2015. I suggest only going here to get an idea for just how many natural foodstuffs and supplements are out there. THEN WALK OUT AND (BULK) ORDER IT ON AMAZON!
