Fantastic experience: Yesterday I was scheduled for a 12:15 hair appointment with one of their staff. It had been 2 years since I had my hair done anywhere and I was very excited ! Since this was a gift from my mom, she did all the research and booked me with someone she felt was experienced and would be able to take care of the mess my hair had become. At 9:15am I get a call from the salon telling me they had to cancel my appointment! BUT they had another stylist available to come in for me at 10am. Now what do I do? Take my chance with someone we haven’t researched or wait another few weeks? We’re getting ready to go on vacation and I wanted to look my best so I took the chance! I’m extremely happy that I did! Lindsay spent almost 45 minutes talking with me about color/cut choices before she even did anything. She was very honest about what my hair might “do” since I had colored it myself at home, she talked with me about several options she could do to correct it. Let me tell you folks, my hair looks AMAZING!!! It took about 10 years off my looks! She literally performed a miracle!! So, if you need a miracle on your hair go see Lindsay!! Worth every dollar! The first 2 pictures were before and the next two are the results!!
Fantastic experience: I got a classic manicure with Brooke and it was amazing! I spent the last two years damaging my nails with dip and Brooke took her time to make my natural nails look healthy! She explained every step she was doing and how it would help revive my nails. Shes very knowledgable and takes her time to do a great job! Thank you!

Fantastic experience: This is my preferred salon for all haircuts and trims. Normally I'd rate this salon at 4 stars, due to the warm, friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Kristin, one of the master hair stylists at Swan Cove, is responsible for the 5th star. I recommend making your next appointment with her for a salon experience that is truly second to none.
Positive experience: The massage was great! Michelle was great! The check in was not so great. I arrived early per instructions and was told I was all set. I sat back down waiting for someone to come get me and waited for several minutes. Another woman who had been waiting got up to ask if she was in the right place for her massage and was told no. Luckily I overheard this and followed along. We were then waved in the general direction of the massage area with no further instructions. Not the smoothest welcome for a new client.

Negative experience: Charging 245 dollars for a beginner to do your lashes is disgusting, sticking to emerald salon in Easton. 1 star because zero isn’t and option will never be back
Hello Hannah. We are glad you enjoy Emerald Salon. I have checked our records. We have you in our system but we have no record of you ever receiving services with Swan Cove Spa and Salon. Everyone needs to go where they are comfortable with the providers and pricing.
Negative experience: I made an appointment six weeks ago as a new client. I received a one hour notice via text that my appointment was being canceled and needed to be rescheduled. I was already in my car on the way to this appointment. Very disappointed especially if I were the one who was “sick” I would have been charged 50% off my service since I would be messing up their precious schedule. Hmmmm do you think I’d get my service at 50% off since they canceled on me??? Highly unlikely.
Hello Cheryl. Apologies again. We know people look forward to the day of their services. We waited until 7 am to text as a courtesy, so you would not be receiving a 6 am text. As we informed you we were going to accommodate you. Your appointment was made for before business hours at 8 am , with Adam who is normally fully booked 6 -8 weeks out. The early hour was so you could get in. Unfortunately he is not feeling well today. Hair stylists do get sick as well. It is an unfortunate situation. We would like to accommodate you. As I said in the texts to you ,we would call you when we arrived and could look at the schedule to accommodate you before your trip. We are still willing to try, we have been open for 20 minutes now. You said do not bother, but we will be reaching out again to try and accommodate your needs.

Fantastic experience: I was traveling by myself for business and wanted a pedicure for an upcoming beach trip. A local friend recommended Swan Cove so I made an appointment and was scheduled with Kailee, a nail tech. Such a great experience! She was so thorough and great at casual conversation. Wish I lived closer so I could go back regularly. My feet look and feel great! If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend Swan Cove.

Negative experience: I used to work in a salon so I will usually give places, even restaurants, the benefit of the doubt. I understand things happen. My first experience was a prenatal massage, which was great. I went back for a waxing that was horrible. The esthetician performing it even expressed her inexperience but still wanted to move forward. I told her I've been there and to do her best or I could reschedule. As someone who has had many waxes before, you are in a very vulnerable position and hope to be in and out. Usually I go to someone and they are finished in a few large strips and then you're done. This process took about 45 mins. She did it in little patches and would often go over the same spot with hot wax more then twice. Like I said, I get it, but they shouldn't be booking people with someone like this until she is more comfortable. My sister in law had the same experience. I was very nice to her and even tipped her well. Decided to give it another try and book a prenatal massage. When I called to book the appointment I spoke to a woman who seemed very distracted. Honestly, it sounded like she was out in left field. She said um a lot and would talk to people around her. It took her way to look to find an appointment for me. Again, not the biggest deal, but before we hung up I asked her "this IS for a prenatal massage, right"? she responded with "huh uh". I thought, Okay great. Each time you get a message you fill out a form. didn't do that. I was just brought into a room by the therapist and was just asked what my focus was. My thought was well, it's a prenatal massage so..i'm sure you can guess. I explained my aching muscles and tightness. Then for the first half of my massage I was on my back (im 39wks and 5 days). My last two messages I was on each side for the entire time. I thought ok maybe this is how she does it. I thought i'll just adjust and didn't want to be a pain. Next, every time she applied lotion it was cold. She often used only one hand and most of the time felt like she was just applying lotion to my skin. I noticed she did things on one side that she didn't do to the other. not little things, noticeable things. . At the end, they apply a hot towel to your back and feet. The first towel was taken out and applied right to my back which was scolding hot. I even jumped forward. At the end, I went to check out, and I was given the price. It seemed low for a prenatal but I paid anyway, tipped, and left. Driving home I remembered that I booked with Miss space cadet who wasn't paying attention. I later looked on the website and they charged me for a regular 60min Swedish massage which is what she booked me for. Even my sister in law also had a massage there and told me later she wasn't impressed either. I'm officially done with this place.
We are sorry to read about what you have written. We do strive for 100% customer satisfaction ,so thank you for letting us know where we can improve . We are experiencing some growth and employee turnover so will be addressing the front desk customer service training more aggressively. We are surprised to learn the esthetician would say she was inexperienced doing Brazilians. She had been performing Brazilians for years prior to your 4/8/2022 appointment. We do not schedule people for that service unless they have exhibited proficiency performing the service. You were booked for a Maternity Massage. You received the Maternity Massage price which has not been raised yet. Before a rate increase we post for several months on our website. The Maternity Massage is due to be raised in another month to the website price. We apologize for a massage that was anything less than a positive experience. Please contact Shelby, the manager, to see if we can make this up to you.

Fantastic experience: This is my second facial with Melissa. So relaxing and fun. This was a birthday treat for me and my friend. The staff is very welcoming. Shelby greeted us at the door, took me right back, and offered coffee and water. Melissa was right on time and so talented and friendly. Kelli, the owner, came out to see how our treatment went and even offered us wine since it was my birthday. Thanks for a great day!
Fantastic experience: This is my 4th visit to Swan Cove and I am still loving my experiences. The establishment is clean and bright. The front desk is well-staffed and the ladies greet you in a professional manner. It does not take long before your stylist comes to take you back and begin your process, assessing your hair, determining your needs, and getting you ready for service. My stylists have been professional, knowledgeable, and real masters at making me look and feel beautiful. They took the time to listen to my concerns in addressing some color and texture issues I was having, and I think my hair looks amazing. I also had my eyebrows waxed and tinted. I am older and have sparse looking eyebrows. However, by the time I was through the aesthetician had cleaned up and tinted my brows so that I finally had a complete face with fully formed eyebrows; amazingly beautiful! I haven't felt this beautiful since my 20s (I am now 60). Yes, you might pay a little more for services, but not much--it's worth having better haircuts, color, etc. than not. Make sure you book ahead during busy season, i.e., holidays, prom, etc. Communication is key, these professionals are at your service so make sure you let them know your needs. Remember self-care is health-care, and that includes hair, skin, and body. If you don't look and feel good about yourself you can't take care of other people and feel good about them. Invest in you. I am glad I found Swan Cove. A little tune-up every 2-3 months is just what GLAM-Ma needed.
Negative experience: If I could give my experience 0 stars I would. Where to start. First, the morning of my appointment I received a phone call and was told the stylist who I originally booked based on recommendation would not be in and that my appointment would be moved to 1 pm with Ashley. When I met Ashley I had a gut feeling this would not be a good fit but I did not want to be judgmental and I was leaving for vacation on Tuesday and badly needed my grays covered. I explained that I wanted to refresh my hair color root to ends and that the color was close to a cinnamon shade. I showed a picture of me with the hair color and also a model with the same color. I also asked if it was possible to leave a few pieces of hair Uncolored to allow for a bit of contrast. My previous stylist (who unfortunately retired) always did this to give a bit of contrast. There was never an additional charge so I did not even think to ask. Nor did Ashley think to volunteer there would be. Ashley argued with me about the color and selected a swatch that I knew was too dark. I told her so and that I needed a warm color- cinnamon. She took it upon herself to disagree and said that color made me look washed out This is when I should have grown a spine and left, but I did not. The color came out way too dark, made my skin look sallow, and the undyed hair was random, very stripy and did not compliment the ashy brown. The end result was I looked like my torti cat- dark brown and orange. I told her I was not happy with the color and she replied let’s see what people think. I then got the shock of my life when I was told I owed 307 dollars when I expected to pay 157.00 for a cut and color. Evidently leaving some of the hair undyed was considered a 212 dollar technique. Stupid me was in such shock, and not wanting to cause a scene paid it. However, on the ride home and after looking in the mirror for a few hours and crying, I called the salon and asked that I be issued a partial refund. I was told that the owner of the salon would contact me on Friday. I waited all day Friday and no phone call. I then called at 5 pm knowing the salon closed at 6 and was told the owner did not come in because of traffic and would call me Saturday. I waited until 3 pm on Saturday and then called the salon and was once again told the owner did not come in. Now, my vacation is ruined, I am out 307 dollars and I feel an overwhelming sense of helplessness. In 42 years of getting my hair done I have never received such unprofessional, discourteous service. I am sure there may be excellent stylists at this establishment but unfortunately I was not given one. Also, the owner is extremely unprofessional for not making an attempt to call when she was well aware of how upset I was because Shelby, I assume salon manager, spoke to her by phone about my situation. I hope I can help others with this review. Asks lots of questions, ask for a definitive price EVEN if you think you do not need to, steer clear of a hairstylist who refuses to listen. And if your spidey sense goes off listen to it and get out of the chair! UPDATE TO RESPONSE FROM OWNER: Good Morning, I wanted to take my time answering this email as I wish to be polite but honest. Lori was very pleasant to work with and had she been my stylist at the start I believe I would have had a much different experience. She explained she did not want to place more color on top of the newly dyed hair and I knew this was correct from everything I had read. She highlighted parts of my hair and used toner to change the color of the rest. Although, the result was ascetically pleasing and I was no longer embarrassed to wear my hair down, it is not the color I wanted. I always have my hair colored red but this is more of a golden brown. Again, it is pretty but not what I had originally asked for. Additionally, regardless of what Ashley told you, I did not ask for balayage. I know how much this procedure costs and I would never have agreed to pay 315.00 dollars. I have had my hair highlighted many times and at most have paid 190.00 plus tip.

Fantastic experience: Wow! Beyond impressed!!! First time getting my hair done with Jess and she exceeded all of my expectations and then some! She takes her time, makes sure every strand of hair is perfect. You can tell she really cares, loves what she does and is naturally gifted. I have extremely unruly, curly, frizzy, THICK hair! And she did the impossible and actually made my hair exactly how I always dreamed it could look. She goes above and beyond. If you are looking for an extremely talented hairdresser make an appointment with Jess. Feel lucky to have crossed paths with her.
Fantastic experience: Icey was excellent!!!! She took the time to talk to me about my problem areas and she was thorough with taking care of them. About 85% of my pain was gone on my first appointment with her! I definitely plan on coming back soon!! Thanks again Icey for everything!!!!
Negative experience: I bought 2 peppermint essential oils this afternoon and this evening when I went to use the oils I noticed that both bottles of the oils had been opened. One bottle had about a quarter of the oils missing and the other bottle was just about empty. Not good business. I want at the very least a refund for one bottle or a new bottle that hasn’t been opened. Maybe the receptionist didn’t realize they’d been opened and oils missing in both. But they should not have been on a shelf for sale. I know the owner of the essential oils. I don’t think Rose, the owner of “Your body needs” would be happy to hear this about her products. If I don’t get a response/refund I will give Rose a call. Excuse me, owner of this establishment, but you sold me the product so it is your problem! I demand a refund!!!!!! Not good business! I will report this! You sold me the product!

Fantastic experience: Everytime I go here to have my hair cut and highlighted I always have a great experience. The staff is super polite and personable and the shop is clean and nicely maintained. Jessie is a master at what she does and I would recommend her for any type of client.
Fantastic experience: I went to this salon twice in one week. The first for a mani/pedi and the second for hair (color, cut, and style). Jillian did my nails and they were beautifully done. She was very kind and fun to talk to. April did my hair. She was sweet, helpful, and brought my hair back to life. Oh and she's a crack up! Had me laughing the whole time. Also a fun person to talk to! Happy with how my hair turned out! I went from a dirty blonde to a reddish brown. And my hair is not an easy task, super curly and thick! She made it look so easy. Highly recommend both of these women if you're looking to get your nails and hair done!
Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying that I have blonde short, thin, and poker straight eyelashes. I needed as much help as I could get. I was frustrated with eyelash curlers. Tried them all.. Maybelline, Tarte, and even a heated one from Amazon. I was desperate so I thought why not try an eyelash lift and tint?? I called and got an appointment with Susan. I had an amazing experience! Susan is so sweet and calming, she put me at ease right away. I'm not usually a fan of someone else touching my eyes. Lol. It took about hour for the whole treatment. Once she finished, I was amazed at the results! I looked like I had mascara on, I am so happy and ready for summer. No more running mascara from sweating and swimming for me Susan is the bomb!!
Fantastic experience: I got a 60 min massage with Icey and she did such a great job! I have had TMJ for years and after she massaged my neck and jaw I felt relief for the first time in years. I’m definitely coming back when I’m back in stevensville in September.

Negative experience: Would of liked to have scheduled a time to get my hair cut and washed but when I tried today I was informed they can not accommodate a wheelchair. Disappointing to say the least.
