Fantastic experience: Excellent seamless intake process through VA referral starting online and then on arrival. Had initial massage therapy appointment (one hour) with Angela and she was excellent. She listened to my history, developed a therapy plan, and effectively identified and dealt with tight muscles for release. Highly recommend and will definitely continue with Awaken Wellness.

Casey, my massage therapist, was excellent. She listened carefully and gave me a great massage. I was with my last massage therapist for over 20 years. I look forward to my future therapy with Casey. Well, I've been going here for over a year now and I absolutely love this office. Casey, my massage therapist is amazing. Fantastic experience: Have to admit I was very skeptical about the benefits of acupuncture helping my vertigo; however, after taking a friend's advice and trying it, I have to say the professional skills, knowledge, and experience of Stephanie Judge at Awaken Wellness has allowed me to manage the "dizzies" and life is great! And whenever arithritis flares up in the hands, hips, etc. Stephanie is there to provide acupuncture relief. Oh yes, and my sinus and allergies are grateful as well. I'm a believer. Negative experience: I had an amazing experience here previously with the Aesthetician (shout out to Emily), and got a facial. After some time i called to book another appointment with her, and her schedule changed so i wasn’t able to rebook with her. I asked if another person was available any other day of the week and unfortunately there wasn’t, its only Emily and she only works once a week. I said disappointedly that i wont be able to come again due to scheduling. And shockingly i was told “okay” And hung up on. Apparently manners were not on the menu that day, and the lady on the phone had better things to do.

Fantastic experience: It was awesome. Emily talked me through my first lash lift and tint. I felt completely comfortable and have already booked a facial with her. I would recommend. The place itself was calm, clean and peaceful.

Fantastic experience: Very experienced Nutritionist, she listens to all my concerns and follow up with good recommendations for my specific health goals. The office staff are very friendly too. And fees are very reasonable. If you care about your nutrition and general well-being, please contact her. I don't write reviews often, something must really impress me to write, and this is one of those.

Fantastic experience: This was the best deep tissue massage for my upper back, neck, and shoulders that I have ever had. Bisrat gave three pressure levels to choose from light, medium, and firm. I chose firm - because most of my issues are deep tissue related. I feel lucky to be a patient here and lucky that Bisrat Abebe had an opening for me!

Fantastic experience: I just had my very first acupuncture experience ever and Dr. Sanford Lee was amazing! He was very thorough in his questions about my medical history and concerns and made me feel comfortable with him throughout the whole process. He was very easy to talk to about why I was there in the first place and gave me great medical advice on what to do once I left. The staff that I encountered were friendly. The "healing rooms" were very nice and calming too. I look forward to my session next week! I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I drove a half an hour north from Silver Spring looking for someone who might be able to help with my upper back tension, and I’m so pleased to say I found the help I was looking for. Bisrat Abebe did such an amazing job loosening the rigidity in my back, neck, and shoulders, and helped to unwind a bad knot in my leg that had been making it difficult to walk around without a twinge. It feels like he undid months of damage in the space of an hour, and I’m so grateful. Worth making the half-an-hour trip!

Fantastic experience: My blood pressure was high at 130/100 this morning. l have tendinitis left ankle . My sinus was congested before treatment. Once I arrived home my pressure had lower to 126/88 . My sinuses is clear.

Fantastic experience: I don't want to tell you about Melanie and Casey, because if I tell you about Melanie and Casey, and how utterly fantastic they each are at their chosen craft, you will call Awaken Wellness immediately and make an appointment and I won't be able to get in and see them anymore. So I won't tell you how a year of acupuncture with Melanie has changed my life and calmed down my nervous system, which had been on high alert since the day I was born. I won't tell you how much she really cares about her clients and how she sees her work with you as a partnership and how supportive and kind she is. I also won't tell you about Casey's Magical Massages, which have relaxed me so much that they've put me to sleep, and how she takes time before every appointment to check in with me and when I tell her I have problem areas, she spends extra time and care there and I always feel better afterward. Please don't go to Awaken Wellness, because I am selfish and want to save all of their appointments for myself. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: Simply put, Judy Allen and Sandford Lee have provided me with excellent acupuncture treatments for a number of weeks, significantly reducing my foot pain due to posterior tibial tendinitis.

Fantastic experience: I don't know how to accurately explain how this place has healed my mind, body, and soul! I've been coming here for 5 years and I feel like the staff is more of a family, rather than just health care practitioners. Everyone there brings a next-level of care, and just walking through the doors I feel calmer. I've seen almost all the acupuncturists, and each one of them have been incredible. Ditto with the massage therapists and the amazing aesthetician giving facials. The front desk staff will do everything they can to accommodate you. This place is different- rather than route/packaged massage or acupuncture sessions, they sit and discuss your concerns and problems and tailor the full experience to you. This is a true interconnected wellness experience. From the mind-body-soul experience, to the medicinal herbs, the clean skincare line that I now exclusively use, to the local art they hang in the hallway for purchase. They practice what they preach and I recommend Awaken Wellness to any and everyone!

Negative experience: Kept cancelling my appointment. They are not a serious business. Veterans if you were referred here call you VA coordinator and ask for a different place. Trust me I just saved you a major headache. They have no consideration as to how you may modify your day to accommodate them only for them to be completely unreliable. Avoid at all cost. Oh yeah done fall for the COVID excuse, every where else is up and open they abuse that excuse.

Fantastic experience: This place has truly made me love massages. I never felt relaxed to enjoy them but decided to give it a try after having severe anxiety. Melissa was so amazing I went back the following week. The place itself is very clean and felt safe with covid protocols. Also the I can't begin to describe the amazing professionalism and kindness of the front desk staff. Also love how easy it is to make an appointment and you can fill all your paper work online. Truly a great experience. Can't wait for my upcoming acupuncture appointment.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with the services here at Awaken Wellness. Everything is very personable and individualized. This is definitely an alternative to medications by focusing on the whole! As an asthmatic, I know I will have to have some medications on standby. However, the meds do not have to be my crutch; they have moved from a state of dependency to rescue as needed. I can't wait to try the other services.

I love that she even provided diagrams and instructions for some of the techniques she used (which I've never been provided by a massage therapist) that I could use on myself and family. I receive acupuncture treatments every other week from Sung Mi. My health has improved noticeably during this time. I have had far fewer illnesses, relief from some chronic pain and generally feel much healthier. Sung Mi is very knowledgeable and compassionate, a true professional.
