I tired a few that I won't name because this review is not about putting any other practice down, it is about telling you how great Chiropractic Works is, and I have finally found the chiropractors that I will always use from here on out. Dr. Kris and Dr. Kirsten are both great. They are friendly, professional, work their tails off, and love what they do and you can tell immediately. They treat the patient, not just crack joints and send you on your way. During the consultation you get an x-ray and a scan of your entire spine that tells the Doctors where your problem areas are, and then they tailor your treatment baaed on what their scans tell them. They are flexible with payments and will work with your insurance directly to get you squared away financially. The front office staff are all amazing people, very friendly, knowledgable, believe in the practice and what their mission is, and work very hard to make sure everything is organized and ready to go for your visit, payments, insurance, and answer any questions you have with a smile. They are also pediatric certified and are amazing with the little ones. We took our 4 week old baby girl to Dr. Kris on the recommendation of our pediatrician, had a very thorough and intelligent down-to-earth consultation that explained in detail what baby's go though during birth and how it can affect them and why they may need some chiropractic help. I was a bit skeptical because the concept is sort of new to me, but I can say that I was wrong. As soon as Dr. Kris did his thing to my baby girl I could see instant relief in her face and body posture like she melted and I could tell she needed it. Glad that we went with our pediatrician's recommendation for Chiropractic care for her, and so glad that we chose Dr. Kris at Chiropractic Works for it! On to the SoftWave therapy. I have been dealing with a rotator cuff injury since 2013. It has been nagging me and I have seen an orthopedist for it. The orthopedist is a great Dr as well, and I am still going to follow up with him in a few months to see if I need imaging and possibly further treatment. I got a cortisone shot for it which helped with the pain for a couple months. The pain came back, and I am already a patient at Chiropractic Works so I scheduled the mapping session for SoftWave. I could tell immediately after just the mapping session that there is something to this therapy and I can't wait to see what the end results are after it is completed. I am optimistic that it will correct my issue and save me from anything invasive like surgery. But after just 2 sessions so far, I can already tell that my range of motion is improved and the pain is less. I can't recommend them enough. Highly. highly recommend them! I am very happy I found a great Chiropractic office that is right here in my town of Collinsville.

Fantastic experience: The best thing we ever did was take our baby to Chiropractic Works when he was 7 weeks old. He was diagnosed with torticollis & acid reflux by pediatrician- wasn’t sleeping well, crying every hour, constipated from new reflux formula, very stiff and arched his back. Well, that all changed after just 1 adjustment- & he even sleeps through the night! He has been several times since then & we will continue to go for routine care. It has changed our baby tremendously in the best way!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had scoliosis all my life and bad knees due to basketball. I went in to get my back treated because I felt like I had a massive knot in my back. I tried everything to get the knot out like massaging, ice, icy hot, Thera gun treatment and more. After my recommended sessions and adjustments I felt like I was back to my old self again. For my knee I was offered the option of cutting it open to have surgery to replace missing cartilage. After research and study I did not want to go that route. I was introduced to shockwave therapy and I was blown away by how much less pain and more flexibility and spring that I have in my knee. I can honestly say that after a full session of adjustments and shockwave that I can still play sports and be as active as I once was at about 85-90%. 10/10 would recommend chiropractic works!!

Negative experience: My experience there was awful with Kris. I came in with back pain in one area and left with back pain in another area. Every time he cracked my back and neck it never did anything for me. The only thing that really worked was icing and that is something I could have done without ever going there. It only takes a few minutes of him doing work on you at most (cracking your neck, back, and hip area) but often so many people are scheduled for the same time and you can be waiting there for 30+ min. One time in particular he was really backed up and instead of doing his normal speed he rushed it and really hurt my neck cracking it. It hurt for a week. Another part Kris fails at is having a plan specific to that patient. Even though I hurt my back he had me doing strengthening exercises for my neck and chest and not for my back. I do realize that strengthening those areas could help but it wasn’t for me. When I would bring up any concern for pain in my back he would just say something like "it takes time and it won’t heal overnight” or “your body got like this for 10+ years it’s going to take a few years to get back to normal." Another way of throwing shade on me questioning if this is really helping? I will give it to him though he is a great salesman and even has his own video in the lobby playing on repeat to show how 'great' he is. Kris has a favorite line he says every visit, "What's the good news?" It wasn’t so bad at first but after a while it got really annoying. Rather than try to talk about how things are going with you like a patient such as talk about your progress or thoughts and concerns you may have for example. Instead he asks that question and tries to socialize and then you don't have any time to talk about what matters as he tries to hurry you up out the door when he finishes. On a few occasions he started talking to other patients while in the room with me mid conversation. Which I felt was rude. I felt like every time I was there he never liked me and I think it showed in his carelessness and lack of concern for my well-being. Even after I stopped going suddenly I never got a call asking when I was wanting to come in for my next appointment. Theory confirmed? Also, he gives you these printouts for icing, posture, strengthening, etc. to follow. They are probably the worst directions and diagrams explaining how things are done I have ever seen in my life. In closing ever since I left the place my back has felt a lot better. I have been icing once a day and doing lower back stretches and strengthening with youtube videos. I think the back cracking was making things worse for me. The only good thing I can say about the place is the front desk girls were always friendly. PS my name is not BrianKitis.

Fantastic experience: I have had Sciatic Pain since l987 from an accident with L4 & L5 herniated disc. I have had water therapy, injections, physical therapy, electronic therapy, tens units, acupuncture, and finally consulted with a surgeon for relief. After two years of weekly and now bi-weekly adjustment with Chiropractic Works and Dr. Kris guiding me along the way, I am thrilled to report that daily, morning and all day pain is almost non existent.
