Fantastic experience: My office visit was a follow up to my colonoscopy. My doctor shared the results and impressions from the procedure. All my questions were answered and I felt well informed to make immediate decisions going forward with the changes she suggested for improvement in my health. I felt inspired to make a commitment to earnestly make these changes a daily part of my health regime. Good news, caring doctor, kind office support equals a great office visit.

Fantastic experience: I was greatly impressed with quality of the care I received. Everyone was attentive, caring and very professional. They had already reviewed my medical records that were provided by my PCP and were family with my medical history. All of the assistants were polite and courtesous.

Negative experience: After a procedure I was prescribed a medication that was never sent to my pharmacy. I tried to reach the Katy location 4 times with absolutely no response. I inadvertently reached the Cypress location and they handled it. Get it together Katy.

Negative experience: I went through the ringer sending medical records to this clinic. To be declined care. Totally unethical and unprofessional to not provide care because a patient has a 20 year plus history of IBD along with other autoimmune conditions. Do not waste your time with this clinic like I did.

Negative experience: I was referred by my primary care for a routine colonoscopy. Before my consultation appointment I completed all online paperwork, but when I went in for consultation appointment I was told they weren’t able to access yet so went through the questionnaire again with nurse & PA but never saw the doctor. I was very PROACTIVE in including the information that I have a cochlear implant & type of implant due to possible surgical limitations. I included my cochlear information & the fact that I medically cannot have a monopolor cautery due to electrical currents. This information was included in my consultation online paperwork, during my consultation visit, on the phone call from doctors office confirming my colonoscopy appointment, on the phone call from surgery center confirming, as well as to multiple nurses at surgery center. It wasn’t till I had an IV in my arm that a nurse finally listened to me and acknowledged that a monopolor machine is what they use for larger polyps & the facility didn’t have a bipolar cautery machine which would be needed if large polyps found. THIS never should have been continuously ignored. At my post appointment I was almost in tears because as proactive as I had been i felt like I couldn’t trust medical team. When I asked what else I could have done to advocate for myself the PA, Ami Patel suggested I make appointment with my cochlear surgeon in advance of any procedures. Which I actually did but it still didn’t help because nobody paid attention. I was scheduled for a 2nd procedure with Dr.Verma, but that was canceled & pushed to PA Patel. At that point I canceled due to lack of trusted care. More attention needs to be given to what patients put in the paperwork they are made to fill out and during appointments. Also, doctors not just PAs should have active roles in medical procedures. When I tried to speak to someone about procedure due to limited information nobody ever called & followed through.

Fantastic experience: I have a family history of colon cancer on both my maternal and paternal sides. So I take my colon cancer screenings very seriously. I have had colonoscopies before but we just moved to Texas 2 years ago and I was due for another one so I chose Katy Gastro Health and Nutrition after reading reviews. I would highly recommend Dr. Franco and her team. She was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. She listened to my concerns and answered knowledgeably and confidently which made me feel at ease with her recommendations. Another great thing about Dr. Franco is that she prescribed SuTab as the prep. These are pills instead of that nasty drink. Oh my gosh what a difference!!!!! I mean the results are still the same and there is obviously going to be discomfort, but I have had so much trouble with getting the drink down and keeping it down and these pills made the prep soooooooooo much easier!!!! The actual procedure day was also great. They were timely in getting me back. Everyone from the receptionist, to the nurses, to the anesthesiologist were very kind, professional and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable and at ease. The nurse that did my IV got it in on the first try!! All in all it was a great experience for what it was. I would highly recommend Dr. Franco and her team.

Negative experience: Impossible to get an appointment in a timely manner it takes weeks even if you are having an issue that needs urgent attention they just tell you to go to the emergency room which will cost you triple. Why have a specialty doctor when they can't see you. The receptionist could care less about your issues or to even try and get you in to see one of the doctors. Patient care is really not valued at this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Gayle was a God send. She helped me immensely navigating the ins and outs of the complex medical/pharmaceutical nightmare we have today. She called the insurance company and got my prescription approved and even managed to get them to pay for the medicine beyond what they normally cover. Thanks you, Gayle, we have been working on this for a week. Seems insurance loves to have you call them again and again and again. One call to Gayle, problem solved. And she's friendly too.

Negative experience: There are a lot fake 5 points review for this clinic, be aware! This is my experience, the entire situation feels like a structured scam operation. The whole operation is a process to make patients pay more out of your packet. Here is my experience. Been referred by my annual exam Dr. Who i trust, and with this Dr. LaCameFrom this clinic which is in network by my insurance. On the day of my first visit to this clinic, I was greeted by the front desk Verna Wilson, who checked my insurance and told me this visit is covered by my insurance. No extra fees for the visit since it is in the network. My wife was on my side who was on the medical field and heard the whole conversation. The meaning of this visit was a basic discussion for the gastro screening for the next appointment- the operation. Yet, before days of operation appointment, I get multiple calls from hospital that setup the operation who insists I need to pay them for the facility fees, also telling me I need to pay anesthesia fees and maybe others. I was surprised by how they didn't even go through insurance but ask patients for the payment directly. By the way, I have been told this screen operation is all covered by my insurance by the Dr. LaCame Which in my case, I should pay nothing because the maximum already made for the year by insurance policy. But apparently those people just ignored to check. Even if I didn't paid my maximum, it should also been covered because it is for my annual check. So when I asked what other things I may need to pay, the woman who called me refused to make it clear, the word exchange was very aggressive from the woman of the hospital. It looks like I already owned them the money, the whole thing made me very uncomfortable and feels I will get robbed if I get that appointment. So I decided to cancel the appointment because that day was the only time for the clinic, the next day was Saturday, then the appointment was set up on 7/5 after the national holiday. So when I called the clinic, I was told to transfer to another phone, then never had anyone picked my call, so I left the message and number for cancellation. After waiting for 1 hour, that was 4pm already, no one ever called back to make a cancellation. So I drove to the clinic, once I got there, I told the girl at the front office the meaning of the visit, I told her my discomfort about this whole situation, one of the Dr. Came out, with a couple more people that led me into one of the check room, and I told the Dr. And this lady about the issue and the reason for my complaint, both of them seem to understand and know such issues have already been going on for a long time. And agreed to check the payment based on my insurance for the operation for me, and make sure I know the payment before I will set up another appointment. I have waited for 3 months since then, which I intend not posting my experience as it is negative to it's operation and give this clinic to make corrections, however, I have never received any information after my face to face complaint with this clinic. Yet, I received a bill from the clinic for the initial visit which at the time I was told was covered. So supposedly if I was the first patient for the clinic, and the clinic was first time working and had connections with the hospital, then it makes sense the clinic may not clear how to get clear payment or how to check insurance and get payment that a patient will need to pay. But based on the reviews from this platform, I can see this clinic is doing the same thing again and again. Then, this situation is intended to make patients pay more. I will certainly avoid this clinic at all costs. Furthermore, patients who had the same experience and situations should make complaints to the board of certificates and other government agencies for further investigation of its operation. Make complaint to inspection of attorney general office if you have same experience. Also, please make complaint to Federal trade commission to investigate their operations.

Positive experience: Update: I received a follow up call that was very attentive to my needs as a patient. I was very grateful for the offer. The rating went from 1 to 3. After restructuring my day, searching for records to attend this appointment, I was informed upon arriving that they did not accept my insurance. This is such an inconsiderate act and misuse of my time. I even received a reminder the same morning of the appointment. As of Jan 2024 they stop accepting my insurance. Shouldn't you have been aware to check future clients that may be affected. Now I have to start the whole process of finding and scheduling an appointment with another doctor. If you care about your time you need to check and double check before showing up that they take your insurance.

Fantastic experience: I Love Dr Verma!!! He's one of the best doctors I've ever had. He is so genuine and really cares about his patients. I went through a serious health issue and he took care of me more than my specialist. He's thorough and does everything he can to make sure your good.

Negative experience: I have no complaints to Dr. Verma, he is good. Staff in the office are good as well, however, the billing team is really difficult to deal with. Numerous (50+) calls to fix billing errors in last 2 years, and it is extremely hard to get them to call you back. I had called different numbers/medium/forums, but no one cares. The same is the case when the insurance team tries to reach them. I had to go to their office personally to have them call me once but no resolution yet. I am paying for the mistakes they are making, and the only choice I have is to request them and resubmit, and can't do anything if they choose to sit on it and then eventually put a mark of my credit history? I recommend to ask for diagnosis codes and the CPT codes that are used before leave the office.

Negative experience: Front office staff is not trained correctly. They gave me the wrong H pylori test. Then called me and told me to come back and get a new one. Secondly the doctor does not listen. He is cutting me off to tell me what he thinks while I'm giving MY medical history. Had me waiting an hour for him to come in room. Sad

He is not only responsive and kind, but thorough and determined to find the exact issue at hand and address it aggressively and head-on, which is what I need. When no one in the area/surrounding area could help, he did and continues to provide personal and professional care. I wouldn't dream of going to another gastroenterologist for my healthcare needs.

Negative experience: Edit on review, the Doctor did call me and explain that this was only their policy for a week and they have now changed that. Never answer the phone, when you leave a message they never call back. I finally went in, scheduled an appointment and on the day of the appointment turned up to be told that as my primary care doctor hadn't sent over my records the doctor wouldn't see me. They had 3 weeks to tell me this, but chose to not do that until about 30 mins before the appointment which I did not answer as I was driving to the appointment. Absolutely refused to see me even though I explained I was in some pain and had waited 3 weeks for this appointment.

Fantastic experience: Good Primary Care Center with an excellent doctor and staff. I made this my primary PCP after looking for a new one and found Dr. Kattegummula. The doc was more than willing to listen to my concerns, and created a care plan that not only helped me get my diabetes under control but I have also lost twenty pounds with my daily proper diet and regular activities. I have never felt more healthy in my life. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I went there with a lot of pain and inflammation, it took them 3 months between tests and 2 appointments and nobody help me. Three months later, They just says it’s no cancer you are good, and I’m still without a diagnosis. Don’t waste your money with this people.

Negative experience: Dr Lacamera is a nice person, but the schedule system they use for procedures like colonoscopies is bad. They don't allow you to schedule the time, but the day. And they just call you the day before the procedure to let you know the time. That is very inconvenient, mainly when you can't have any food for the entire day before the colonoscopy, and then, they make you wait until the afternoon for the procedure without even drinking anything. Besides that, you have to ask someone to take you to the procedure, so this person can't arrange his schedule at work with anticipation. Very bad idea not allowing the patient to schedule a time.

Fantastic experience: Words can't describe how knowledgeable and patient Dr.LaCamera is. This was my very first visit with him and he listened to what was wrong with me. Sometimes I have trouble pin pointing the exact problem and some stuff I forgot to mention that was going on but he bought it up. This the first GI doctor that actually knew what I was feeling and gave me multiple choices. As a young African American woman who has been pushed to the side by other doctors because I shouldn't "have those problems" & my voice went unheard. I sincerely thank Dr.LaCamera for hearing me & Recommend him for POC and Non-Poc!

Negative experience: Today I stopped by the Gastro Health and Nutrition in Katy to make an appointment because I heard such great things about this location for my GI issues, but immediately changed my mind when I saw how a woman supervisor type unprofessionally scolded a young lady to tears that works there. It was an ugly scene and it just left me with such a bad impression and concerned me with a thought “What type of bedside manner does this doctor have if he allows his employees to behave this way in front of clients”? No thank you pass!

Fantastic experience: What a special, dedicated caring doctor! In addition to family members, I too became a patient of dr vermas December 2019. He diligently pursued several procedures in order to address my health issues and achieve a diagnosis. I am 70 years old and I have never had a physician so competently and throughly pursue a medical problem for results. In addition, he surrounds himself with a staff that is equally knowledgeable and devoted. Forget traveling out of town, the best gastro doctor is in your backyard!!!!
