Fantastic experience: Since my recent diagnosis of scoliosis I have been searching for a place that specializes in the conservative treatment of scoliosis, rather than surgical intervention. I was very impressed with Wheaton Family Chiropractic and all it has to offer, from Dr Mark Meyers expertise, knowledge and special training in this area as well as all of the staff and the specialized equipment for the treatment of scoliosis. I will be starting treatment and am looking forward to the outcome!!

Fantastic experience: This was a first time visit. The team at the front desk were patient and helpful in filling out the forms that I had not completed online. After completing the forms I was given a quick tour of the therapy facilities. Then I met Dr. Myers He explained that he wanted to collect lots of data by measuring range of motion of the head, arms, torso, and legs. He asked for my feedback and expressed his observations when there was something unusual and noteworthy. I appreciated that. After that I received a series of x-rays of my head, upper and lower body; front view, side view, and back view. All this was part of the collection of objective data upon which Dr. Myers would formulate a plan to address the critical issues that he identified. The plan would be presented to me the following week. An appointment was scheduled according to my time frame. I was very pleased with the whole experince and look forward to seeing results. BTW I am 73 in October and have herniated disks in my lower back. I no longer can run anymore or go surfing. It is painful to lift heavy objects. I swim daily for an hour to get some arobic exercise. Fantastic experience: My first visit and I found the staff and Dr. Myers very friendly and welcoming. They took an hour to take measurements, photos and X-rays to ensure the treatments to follow are created to my needs. In the past I've seen a chiropractor who took X-rays and proceeded to do adjustments with exercises to follow. There were no measurements to get an idea of progress that was made. I'm very excited to work with Dr. Myers and his team to see what progress I will make over time. I'm grateful there is a doctor who is passionate about helping people build health.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient for years and I always joke they keep me upright! For my specific needs, I get adjusted once a week, my husband with different needs gets adjusted every other week. I really appreciate the team at Wheaton Family Chiropractic. They definitely make a difference in my ability to function at my best by putting me back in alignment after day to day stresses like sitting long hours working on a computer gets me all crumpled up. They also put me back together when I do something brilliant like fall off a curb (don't ask - there were multiple bales of hay and my pick-up truck involved). That visit required adjusting my back, my neck, my right shoulder, my right hip, several ribs, both elbows and both wrists. It was really amazing how they were able to realign everything and I felt better and recovered from the injury quicker.

Negative experience: I came to this place with severe scoliosis and was in lots of pain.I signed up for their 3 mo program and achieved great results within the 1st month. They were a bit pricey for the services they offer and I had a long ride to drive and was loosing at least 2 hrs to and from there 3x a week and had long wait to get adjisted despite having a set appt time but decided to give them a shot. Every 4 weeks they do a progress check which is a longer appt where they basically do a quick thermal scan ,bofy weight distro plus the x ray which in my opinion was too excessive and unnecessary to do in such a frequency ,overall nothing too crazy and complicated.Anyways,I travelled almost an hr to get to my appt and that day was my 'progress check' day.I told the stuff a few days earlier that I can not do it that week due to personal scheduling conflicts.I arrived that day to my adjustment in a rush so I can make to my other appt guess what?One of the ladies walks up to me and says "Well if you can't do the check in,they will not adjust you"!I looked at her in disbelief trying to process the nonsense she just told me and picked up my stuff and left and on my way home called that office to cancel all of my future appts! At the beginning it felt like a group of nice people,but later they showed their true face!Anyways,they called to apologize and whatever,but I realized going back there would be so awkward!I will give a try to some place else! Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Mark for years . I follow up with maintenance every 4-6 weeks (I drive two hours). My primary concern is my scoliosis but Mark also addresses my torn rotator as well as knee pain. Time and expense is important to all of us but so is the cost to not addressing the problem. Fantastic experience: Wheaton Chiropractic does a thorough evaluation of your spine using x-rays and other scans. Then they make a plan of exercises and adjustments that are tailored to correct the problems specific to you. They recheck your progress by repeating the x-rays and scans after a few months. My husband and myself have experienced improvement both in the tests and the way we function. This is a Science based practice. I have avoided needing quartizone shots in my arthritic knees by swimming, getting them adjusted regularly and following simple stretching instructions given by Dr. Mark. My husband encouraged me to get checked out due to pain I had in my neck and back for years. I resisted because I didn't want to have multiple appointments. Fantastic experience: I came here for a second opinion after an orthopedic didn't offer any treatment after diagnosing me with scoliosis. I ended up doing the intensive care treatment and I'm happy to say that my migraines have subsided thus far. When we came to WFC we were in search of a more holistic approach to healthcare for our infant son who had been suffering with Gerd and sleeping poorly following a traumatic birth experience. Our regular pediatrician kept him on prescription drugs to treat the reflux but at his young age we were uncomfortable with that approach. After just a few short months our little guy is thriving and free from all medication! There was a health fair going on and he spotted my husband walking crooked and in pain. He started talking to us and convinced my husband to come in for an evaluation. So glad he did! It hurt me to walk when I first came to see Dr. Myers. I have horrible reactions to many medications, so this works great for me. Close to two years ago, we came to Dr Myers after multiple visits to our pediatrician who was puzzled by my child’s congested lungs from contacting regular colds. We were on a path of prescription drugs and getting ready to make an appointment to see an asthma specialist. Dr Myers took one look and was able to immediately diagnose the issue. We’ve been seeing him ever since. From the first adjustment until now, my child has no longer needed any medication and no longer gets congested lungs. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Mark since end of July(never thinking that he would be able to help me) for very serve neck pain. Not being able to turn my head without turning my whole body to left. Constantly in pain morning night and not being able to sleep just being in pain and not being able to do any of the things I love to do. Fantastic experience: Dr Mark and the staff here are top notch. He took the time to diagnose & explain what is wrong and a plan to fix it. Yes it is costly BUT no comparison to what Northwestern has billed me or my insurance. Wheaton Chiropractic is a fraction of the cost actually!! Not 1 of the 6 doctors I have seen at Northwestern has given me a reason for my feet and legs going numb NOR did any of them recommend a chiropractor?!? Big Pharma watch out !! 10 months and counting, 3 mri's, 2 back injections & Northwestern doctors ( in cahoots with big Pharma) and STILL no answers!! Thank god several of my mechanics kept pushing me to a chiropractor and Dr Mark came highly recommended . Now I highly recommend him. It is a slow painful process, but i see myself getting better and better, no thanks to Northwestern..... Fantastic experience: We were referred to Dr. Mark from our chiropractor. We found out our daughter age 11 had a 38 degree curve. As parents of course you worry and wonder what the next best steps are to take. After doing some research on the clear Scoliosis Institute we decided that was the best route for our daughter. We just finished a two week intensive therapy program and could not be happier with the results. My daughters curves have all been reduced. It is amazing with the different techniques Dr. Mark uses and how they work it is amazing. I would highly recommend anyone who has a child with scoliosis or even and adult to go to Dr. Mark. Dr Mark and Ashley who helps run the treatments are really great. We can’t thank them enough for what they did and will continue to do to help our daughter. The staff is also great and very helpful. Fantastic experience: My wife has received the best possible care for her Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and scoliosis here. Yes, the chiropractor may seem like an unlikely place for Post Concussion Syndrome to be healed, but when the nervous system is working well the brain and body heals itself like it was made to. When we came to see Dr Myers my wife was unable to do small tasks such as tie her shoes and ended up being in bed for a painful majority of the day. She had trouble breathing, any auditory stimuli and any fast moving visual stimuli used to give her instant splitting headaches. Thanks to Dr Myers and his wonderful staff we found out that the cranium gets thrown out of alignment during injury to the head and sure enough, Dr Myers had been recently certified to do cranial adjustments. The proof that it worked was there immediately. When we got home the garage door opened loudly and did not cause her any pain. She was able to tie her shoes on her own before her next appointment. 3 months later she made it to the top of a very hard to climb indoor rock wall on her 2nd day of trying. 1.5 years of going to all sorts of MDs and all she did was get offered off label prescriptions and get worse. 3 months of instensive chiropractic care and she was at the top of the climbing wall smiling while being able to enjoy music in her headphones. His staff was the most understanding with our erratic schedule changes and made us feel like family. She has been to 4 chiropractors in her lifetime, and Dr Myers is without a doubt the best. I personally have been to 3 and I definitely agree. He uses a low radiation X-Ray machine to give you your results and updates regularly. If you know about Dr Myers, you are blessed! Sidenote: my father has been able to dodge the back surgery bullet twice after going to Dr Myers on two separate occasions in a 10 year span. My scoliosis was cured in 6 months. Dr Myers is not trying to make a lifetime client out of you. He works diligently to get you to the point where you do not need his services anymore. He will expertly adjust anything from your toes to your nose. If you have an ache or pain be open with him and let him know and you will experience amazing relief thanks to his expertise. He was also the team chiropractor for the US Judo, Wrestling, and Gymnastic teams. Those 3 are some of the most beat up athletes of all.
