Negative experience: If you’re serious about your health please do not waste your time or money here. They just push their own products and get upset if you ask for a brand of something to buy at a pharmacy. I went to an endocrinologist who was surprised by a lot of things that I was told/the ranges they use to reference labs
Negative experience: This is a long one, so hang in there with me. If you are made of money, ignore my review. From a health improvement perspective, me and my husband would highly recommend NAVA. Our energy, focus, sex drive and overall mood drastically improved (all reasons we seeked them out in the first place). We were both 28 and relatively healthy but needed that extra “umph”. We went to NAVA for about 8 months in 2024. My negative review is purely from a billing/financial perspective. In order to gain access to NAVA, you are required to pay a monthly or annual subscription ($50+/mo). Appointments start out (for us) weekly to biweekly then every 3-4wks. Some in person, some virtual. We have great insurance that NAVA accepts (more on this later). We paid a copay at each appt ($15-25). Invoices are pages long for visits totaling 5min for lab work to 30-45min for consultations. Medications/supplements recommended to us were several hundred dollars per month. We found several supplements online for cheaper but we both took medication from a compounding company that was $300-400 for a 3 month supply. We are still receiving invoices from 6+ months ago for $15-200 each, after insurance. A card is required to be kept on file and is automatically billed the day the invoice is uploaded to the portal, leaving no time to budget for unexpected expenses (again, from 6+ months ago). When we called to ask if invoices can be mailed to us, you must pay to have each invoice sent individually. To summarize $$$: we paid a monthly subscription ($50 each/month), copay each visit ($15-25), about $150-200/mo in supplements, $300 for an ointment every 3 months and $400 for prescription every 3 months, plus invoices from almost every appointment that weren’t covered by insurance ($15-200 each). Again, if money is no object, I highly recommend NAVA. If you are a normal human, save your money — go to your primary care doctor to run basic testing, clean up your diet and work out.
Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE! My experience with their billing and customer service was just a nightmare. I was assured that everything was settled. After a YEAR, they sent me a bill & charged. Said it was a lag from last years insurance claims that it took awhile for them to process etc etc.. I honestly don’t know if they are lying or why they did this. Also, the customer service lady in billing wanted to charge me extra for copies of my past statements! Such a money grab.

Fantastic experience: Aesthetic Nurse Yesenia did my lip filler and chin filler and I LOVE my results. She gave me a subtle pout I was looking for and the chin filler snatched my jawline more! She was very professional and made me feel comfortable with my experience. Will definitely be coming back to her for my Botox as well! The facility itself was very clean and beautiful.

Negative experience: I have been going to Nava for a few years now. The customer Service experience with Nava. It is truly a feeling of being just a number. Every appointment I’ve had previously with lab work has been detailed and we went through step-by-step. Sam by the way is phenomenal! My last doctors experience Left Me feeling so frustrated I felt I had to write this review. I had a scheduled appointment. I took off work early and kept receiving back-to-back phone calls. Come to find out it was from the doctor. Who wanted to go ahead and get the appointment over with. To a point that he did not go through each results as I have done previously in all my There at Nava. When I finally answered the phone because I was commuting, he proceeded to say hey are you available right now so we can go ahead Proceed with the call. I felt like OK sure you’ve been blowing up my phone. A few months back, I reached out to Management regarding the Nava RX . I should say the lack of information. The information I was receiving Was very vague. And I wasn’t sure if there was an update in the program and what it entailed, etc.. I reached out to management, but no one ever returned my call. You’re forced to leave a message on a voicemail. Very impersonal.I paid $1,000 for the Nava RX program and didn’t receive the necessary documents until months later. The dosage was confusing. The information provided about different services is very limited, and frequent appointment cancellations make the process even more frustrating. One time I was in the parking lot as my appointment was rescheduled. Things were much better before Nava went public. While I love the hormone treatment, I’m starting to question whether I can get a more well-rounded experience elsewhere.”

We have escalated to the client services team who will be reaching out to directly address the issues you have outlined.
Positive experience: I really like the model of Nava and the focus on holistic medicine. The staff are knowledgeable and have a genuine interest in helping you heal. My frustrations are: 1. I love the Ashburn office, but I can never get a hold of someone there directly. The phone call always goes to the call center. I really don't like that - makes me feel like a "number." 2. I really don't like that every time I need a med adjustment for a pre-existing condition, I have to make (and pay for) a 30-minute appointment. In my previous experiences, I was able to talk to my doctor/nurse over the phone (or via MyChart message) and they would call in the new dosage after receiving my bloodwork or listening to my symptoms. I understand needing to make an appointment to discuss new diagnoses, but when you've had the condition for a while and are in the midst of making minor adjustments, a whole appointment shouldn't be necessary. 3. They no longer accept my insurance. UPDATE: I spoke with a manager (Kim) about my concerns. She was lovely and explained to me that the reason there is a call center is because there is an overwhelming amount of Nava clients, so to allow the front desk receptionists at each location to focus on their in-person patients, they have a call center to triage all calls first before overwhelming the offices. I also appreciate knowing that there is dialogue taking place around all of the services that your membership covers, including the idea that if you have a quick adjustment about an existing condition/medication, that it doesn't need to take an entire appointment (unless you're discussing lab results). Kim then connected me to a doctor (patient fee waived) that night to discuss my medication concerns. Thank you so much! The insurance concern is out of Nava's control. My only other thought or suggestion is for someone at Nava to reach out to Cigna clients and give whatever the current update is since our previous email made it seem that negotiations are still taking place. Negative experience: In 2024, Nava's customer service quality has plummeted via the patient portal and phone. You're better off finding an online subscription for meds versus the headaches and inconsistency you'll find at Nava. They bill aggressively but respond to inquiry sparingly.

Negative experience: Entire experience was negative. They assured me they accepted my insurance, but I continue to receive more bills from them for Additionally charges. Additionally, their required membership is frustrating and ineffective. You have to be a member, and they try to force the cancellation of membership to take 30 days (so that you have to pay another month of membership). You have to pay per month and then they try to not use your credit for appointments, instead wanting to charge you. When I did have appointments the people I met with had no clue what I was meeting for (one doctor thought my appointment was about sleep instead of weight loss!) I never saw the same person twice, they were always late and my last appointment she talked with someone in the room for five minutes while I just sat there (after she was 15 minutes late). I cannot recommend this place due to all the issues and the huge cost of "being a member".

Negative experience: NAVA has changed their practices and they are starting to feel like a scam. This business runs tests without consent so they can bill more from insurance. They are pushy about getting you on their compounded meds so you have to buy directly through them. The whole point of functional medicine is to be on LESS prescriptions, not more. I really benefitted from Nava in the beginning, but it has started to feel like a racket, so I cancelled my membership.

Negative experience: I had an extremely frustrating experience with Nava Health. They assured me that my insurance would cover the treatment, but once they had my credit card information on file, they started charging me without any valid reason. It felt like every time I turned around, there was another charge for services I hadn't agreed to. They push unnecessary medications and perform blood tests you may not even need, all while pretending it’s part of your "treatment plan." This company is a complete scam, and I would urge everyone to be cautious. Do not give them your credit card information—they will charge you for things you never agreed to! Positive experience: A Wonderful and Convenient Health & Wellness Center! If you’re looking to begin your wellness journey, NAVA Health and Vitality is a fantastic place to start. The process is seamless, thanks to their friendly and helpful front desk + call center staff; making onboarding, booking, and even modifying appointments easy. They promptly address concerns and find solutions that meet your needs. Unlike many holistic clinics, NAVA accepts insurance, making this journey more affordable and accessible. While it’s always good to clarify exactly what your out-of-pocket costs will be (as with any insurance policy), the patient portal provides detailed statements; and after meeting your deductible, it’s a lot easier. NAVA operates on a subscription model, but the monthly membership pays for itself. Credits can be used to explore new services like cupping, acupuncture, and massage, expanding your holistic experience. The highly skilled and warm nurse practitioners and PAs make micronutrient IVs hassle-free and painless. I personally noticed the biggest improvements in my fatigue, sleep quality, and overall stamina through this service. I also appreciate the regular bloodwork appointments, which allow me to track my wellness progress and make informed decisions about the next steps; including hormone testing, which provides a fuller picture of wellbeing. Fantastic experience: Latasha's massages are incredible! Without disclosing your areas of discomfort, she can pinpoint them during your massage and emphasis focus on those specific areas. I have never had a massage therapist be this attention to detail oriented/ this spot on. I weightlift, and have some areas of pain/tightness. She makes me feel like butter by the time the appointment is done. I'm hooked!!!! Natasha is my go to for massages!

Fantastic experience: I joined NAVA for the hormone treatments, but I just found an amazing value in their holistic total body services. Fantastic experience: Nava has been a game changer in my health and wellness journey through menopause. The HRT pellets, nutrition program, and keeping on top of all my hormone levels through regular blood draws has proven to be just what I needed to get back to feeling like myself again. Fantastic experience: I've been dealing with a number of health issues over the past 3-5 years and did a search online and found NAVA health about a month ago. The staff is always top notch on my visits and very accommodating. The total approach to wellness by identifying the interconnectedness in our bodies and coming up with ideas that would suggest root causes is totally foreign to me AND is exactly what I needed to build confidence about starting this journey with an entirely new set of medical professionals, dedicated to my care. They're always so personable and I never feel as if I'm in an assembly line waiting to get my oil changed because my engine light came on. I'm instead being carefully evaluated to try to determine why the check engine light came on in the first place. It's quite possible there's nothing wrong with my oil. Ok, corny, but you get my drift. This place is complete and have some of the greatest minds and positive attitudes attending to your care. Get this: many of the treatments are covered, at least in part, by insurance!! Yay!! But you want to know the absolute coolest part? It seems many of the staff are patients and use the services there as well. Who better to articulate the benefits of what they offer and can do than by the people who actually use the products and services? They know, first-hand, how things come together to work on our behalf. My journey is still in the early stages, and I've never been more positive about my ability to experience much improved health outcomes, than I have with a group of people at NAVA who are committed to serving you. Fantastic experience: I had Accupunture for tinnitus today. My pressures and tensions have been tremendously increasing tinnitus. Yin young have focused on increasing Yin to increase water elements. Even though my tinnitus is still there but the heat because of anxiety and stress is just gone and I feel very relaxed.

Fantastic experience: I love NAVA, it has literally changed my life. I have been going to NAVA for about 2 years now. I usually do acupuncture which I love, it definitely cured my migraines and back pain. I did the weight loss program which was amazing, I learned so much about nutrition and balanced all my hormones. Positive experience: I've just started my experience with Nava, and it's not great. Initially, I was contacted by someone extremely enthusiastic and helpful to set up my initial appointments, including a physician consultation, blood panel, WAVi scan, and nutritionist. I had to contact them through their "call center" 10 days after my blood draw to ensure my results were available and have them uploaded to my portal the day before my follow up (scheduled for 8/1). The NP was very thorough in my results and shared her screen to show my care plan; however, that plan has yet to be uploaded to my portal. I have also requested in message and via Health Coach to confirm a prescription was sent to my pharmacy with no response. After both the MD and NP virtual visits, I had to wait for a Health Coach to call me back and complete my appointment. All payments are taken over the phone as opposed to being directed to a portal where you can see what you are paying for. There have been no billing statements or care summaries made available at this time. Yesterday, I spent half an hour back and forth on the phone with a Health Coach AFTER my appointment attempting to check out and schedule services. This morning, I was contacted by a Health Coach in four separate calls within half an hour to cancel and reschedule an appointment for a service with provider unavailability being the cited reason. They did, however, manage to take pre-payment for the service before canceling and rescheduling it 2 more times. My NP follow up was approximately $100 more than my MD initial consultation, after billed through insurance. I have also paid my membership at this point. Given the ~$1000.00 I have paid so far, I've received very little in return. Hopefully things will improve moving forward because I feel this practice can help me with my concerns. They should consider more transparency and access for patients regarding their personal records, billing, and payments. They should also consider an online booking service because the Health Coaches seem to be misinformed and overstretched to meet needs. Updated: I would like to note that I have received excellent care in person from the team in Ashburn. My dissatisfaction lies with scheduling, checking out, billing, payment, and overall transparency with the tele- and virtual services and the information provided in my patient portal.

Positive experience: I started using NAVA in April 2024 to work with my hormonal health. I was very happy with the level of detailed testing and reviewing of my lab results. I started with hormone therapy and see great changes in mental clarity which was my biggest concern to start with. I did have some concerns re. insurance/billing details but it was cleared with their accountant Kim who went through every visit and billing and that was very helpful. I appreciate their team of doctors and staff and providing a service that accepts insurance. I look forward to trying out their services along with hormone therapy.

Fantastic experience: Great service! I love that the subscription helps me to stay regular with services and making sure I’m scheduling time to take care of myself. I’m able to use insurance for most services and then have enough credits for 3-4 services a month under the $99 subscription. The regular blood work helps me stay on top of what my body is doing and making sure I’m watching trends and changes too and then discussing with a doctor each time to understand how to improve my levels. I was extremely low in some vitamins and hormones that weren’t checked in primary bloodwork. I go to both the Fairfax and Ashburn locations and absolutely LOVE Inyoung for acupuncture annd Tasha for massage. They’re both fantastic and are great at understanding what my body needs each time while helping me relax and feel overall refreshed. Acupuncture has been wonderful for my digestion, circulation, anxiety and aches and pains and massage has been wonderful for helping me release muscle tension and take care of my body.

Fantastic experience: No wait time. Provider met me in the lobby after I was checked in amd escorted me to the back area. Everyone was friendly, professional and very detailed in explaining the process/procedure. Blood draw was fast and conversation kept me distracted. Wavi was new to me and each step was clearly explained. Looking forward to the reaults. Overall, fantastic!

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Nava by a friend for digestive issues. While my insurance didn’t cover any of the services except the initial lab work, I did the gut restore program out of pocket and am very glad I did. Several food intolerances were identified and I’ve never felt better since following the advice from the nutritionist I worked with there. I signed up for the monthly plan and use my credits for massage and acupuncture. I am a horse trainer and my body is pretty banged up but I have gone from having chronic neck and back pain to feeling pretty good most of the time thanks to InYoung and Jen. The front desk staff are super friendly and the appointment reminders are really useful. The office is very clean and peaceful. If I had more money or better insurance I would do more of the IV drip therapies which I tried and really liked too. Pricing is transparent so you shouldn’t be surprised by anything. This is like concierge healthcare/med spa, it’s not going to be cheap, but I find the value is there .

Fantastic experience: I cannot express how satisfied I am with my care so far. I have been battling with several autoimmune issues for several years and have seen a number of specialists. Unfortunately, I have only been offered pharmaceuticals to manage symptoms that come with a laundry list of side effects. At Nava, I feel that my providers are working with me to tackle the root cause of my autoimmune deficiencies. Negative experience: The people are great, but business model will nickel and dime you for everything. The membership services should be very straight forward $99 a month or $900 for the year-- you get 2 credits. But any time you need to see a doctor or anytime "insurance" can be applied. Expect to see a bill. I really enjoyed the massages but was surprised by the unexpected cost for the "health care". Just know what you are getting into: lab work with my insurance was ~$350; doctor consult $300; and nutritionist $170. Don't get me wrong, I am ok with paying for what I order... but menu with out prices and some which vary make it difficult to make informed decisions.

Fantastic experience: I am very pleased with the services they offer at Nava health. I mainly go to get acupuncture. Their acupuncturist, In Yong is amazing and one of the best I’ve seen. She is very knowledgeable, takes the time to get to know you individually and tailors your sessions to meet your needs. I highly recommend her! In addition, the office is clean and the support staff is always friendly! I would recommend booking directly in person, I’ve had a few issues with the centralized booking system.

Fantastic experience: I had my first acupuncture today with Inyoung and I was so nervous before. But, within minutes, Inyoung made me feel relaxed and explained everything happening as she did it. Fantastic experience: This is by leaps and bounds my favorite location of Nava Health. From the front desk on, everyone is so friendly and kind. The acupuncturist is very professional and knowledgeable of her craft. She gave me the entire background about what acupuncture is and how it helps your body. She even did an assessment of my body based on just basic checks and observations. My body feels so much better. The nurse that I usually work with for my IV fluids easily finds the vein every time I go. I have had an amazing experience with this location. What are you waiting for? Go check them out!

Fantastic experience: I joined Nava recently and I have been going frequently for acupuncture. Inyoung is the BEST! I have severe tendonitis in my right elbow and she has been helping me with the pain. I feel so much better each time I leave. She walks me through the process of where the needles are going and how they help relieve the pain. I have learned so much! I am so grateful. Inyoung is kind and patient. Love seeing her!

Fantastic experience: I began going to Nava on a recommendation from a friend, and it has been an incredible experience. The acupuncture specialist is phenomenal and has assisted me in dealing with various severe health problems. Negative experience: I must say that my family and I are experiencing better health since we have joined NAVA. I find that the staff at both Ashburn and Fairfax are really great. That having been said, I share some of the same concerns that others have expressed with regard to transparency, billing discrepancies, lack of detailed receipts/invoices, unexplained/unauthorized charges, staff turnover affecting my ability to utilize monthly credits before they expire, no client means of tracking monthly credit usage/availability, last minute provider cancellations, health summaries and labwork not being uploaded to the portal and/or blank health summaries, file names on the portal are also indistinguishable. I am currently in contact with a NAVA billing representative who seems to be supportive and willing to work with me to resolve the issues I am experiencing. Pending the satisfactory resolution of my concerns, perhaps I will be able to give a higher star rating and update my review.

Negative experience: I had high hopes for NaVa considering the high price they charge. I have an insurance for federal employees which is quite good, but they manage to charge very high prices on top of out of pocket cost. I have to call them multiple times for the same prescription after they tell me they’re going to call it in and they don’t. The IV appointment which they told me they scheduled for today apparently hasn’t been scheduled and they can’t take me in even though it’s urgent. They keep your credit card in file and keep making charges without asking first. They charged me twice for the same service several times. I had to go through each charge to make sure they were not billing me twice for service. I had to be on the phone with them for hours to go through the charges with them. For all these reasons I’m quitting NaVa membership. The only positive thing about NaVa is the providers take time to go through the blood work and explain well. They also offer IVs for a more reasonable price as they file the insurance claim while most providers refuse to file insurance for the IVs
