Fantastic experience: Urban Health has a Wonderful office staff & epic Doctors Staff Dr's Gonzales .. Moreno ... & Malika .. thank you for the great care in 2024

Negative experience: Scheduled an appt, and the appt was a month out. I understand that appts are hard to come by so whatever. Appt day, I arrive a couple mins early, and they tell me my provider is not a tier one on my insurance so I call to verify, and my insurance confirms what the woman said so I go up to pay the $55 copay and then I’m told my appt can’t be honored. My appt was at 3:30, I finished paper work at 3:40 and called the insurance and walked back up to the front desk at 3:50, and was turned away to be seen. I’m shocked that they are okay doing this.

Negative experience: This has been my primary for about three years now. Had no issues when making appointments for my yearly, but when I became sick and needed to visit the doctor ASAP, it’s ridiculous that I could not get in for two-three weeks and they were referring patients to the Centra Care. Not only have I had issues with this office, but many family members have had issues as well. Will be looking for a new primary doctor.

Fantastic experience: I have had some frustrating times with the billing department in the past. A few of those times I was noticeably aggravated by the situation. Ms. Charity, despite mine or anyone else’s unprofessional actions she always chose kindness. Her customer service is 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Excellent Doctor and staff at Urban Health, Clermont, Florida. Dr Gonzales very much cares for his patients, always friendly.

Negative experience: Poor patient service. If you are sick, the office cannot see you due to their protocol, it has to be by camera and make an appointment. To what extent has the health system and palliative care of the patient changed.

Negative experience: I never saw the doctor or even got an appointment, so this is more a review of the office. I called to set up a new appointment, waited for 15 minutes, and then someone picked up but wasn't talking to me. In the background, they were talking to someone else. Then after about 15 more minutes, they hung up on me without ever saying a word. Please don't take this as a reflection of the level of care available at this office because as I said, I don't know that. But in a PCP office, I'm looking for people who put ME first. I called another office in town and someone picked up right away.

Negative experience: Dr. Moreno is the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. My doctor is Dr. González. He is very good. I got the appointment with Dr. Moreno because González didn't have availability. Dr. Moreno came in, did not greet me, and just told me, 'you have everything degenerative. There is no cure for that, and you need physical therapy.' That was it, and he was about to leave. I said hello, did you look at my record? I have a brain tumor and Cervical Dystonia; I need a new referral. He barely wanted to listen to me. He wouldn't let me speak. Due to my insistence, he looked at my record. He was not oriented in anything. He has no vocation, no empathy, no respect. I traveled 45 minutes and wasted my time. He did not pay attention, does not know how to listen, does not prepare, nor does he read the file. He has no commitment or responsibility for his patients' lives. I had never seen such a big lack of professional ethics. I had never seen such deficient health service. In summary, Dr. Moreno is not fit to deal with human beings. My pet's vet has more love than he does. He saw me for the first time and never looked me in the face, not even to greet or show interest in my health. I feel sorry for the elderly or people with more severe conditions. Imagine if they fall into the hands of a doctor like this. He could send them the wrong medication or one that could contraindicate with another medication. If he doesn't read the patients' files, the risk is very high. Definitely, Dr. Moreno only had a good capacity to memorize in school and complete exams and classes. But everything else a doctor should have does not exist in him. I have seen people studying health, nursing, and medicine. They have love, passion, vocation, empathy, etc., and because they get nervous or cannot memorize all the concepts, they fail in exams and cannot practice the profession after studying so much. If exams were practical and not memorization-based, they could pass them. But in this world, we continue to evaluate only memory for an exam. And that's why we have so many deficient professionals. Meanwhile, those who have all the good characteristics for the profession falter in memorization and cannot advance. When they have the heart and excellence in service to help others. If we gave practical exams in health schools, everything would be better. I do not believe in those computer exams that only measure memory. Those who cannot memorize fail, even if they have everything else. Practical exams with real patients are what should be evaluated. I hope this helps some patient who does not go through this experience.

Fantastic experience: Natalia Montenegro, Barb - Referral Associate and Emily RN are awesome. The office staff is superb. I travel 45 minutes and will continue due to their professionalism and quality of care. Kudos

Negative experience: Wow... thought I was on the right path with finding a new primary, until I got sick and they would only see me via telahealth. I didn't think too much about it, until it became 2:15 which is when I am writing this now and my appointment was at 10:15am. Took my co-pay at 10:32am over the phone, nurse called at 11:13am to collect info, someone called at 11:58am to say "hey the Dr has called and left messages", no missed calls or messages. Called at 12:20pm to find out what was going on, was told a nurse would call me back. Called back at 1:42pm, was put on hold and hung up on. Called back AGAIN at 2:10pm finally to leave a voicemail. Ridiculous. Great first experience, but can't rely on a medical provider to essentially "leave me in their waiting room" for 4 HOURS!!

Fantastic experience: We always feel our health concerns are understood and properly addressed. The staff is extremely respectful.

Negative experience: My parents had an appointment at 4pm, they usually get a phone call to confirm their appointment, which they didn't this time. They arrived to their appointment less than 10 minutes late and they were told they were not going to be seen. No where in their waiting area does it state that late patients will not be seen or might not be seen. Other places might have you wait or they clearly give you a window, like 15 minutes. This to me is unacceptable especially when different circumstances can come up sometimes.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Dr. Jose Moreno. He is honest and truly cares about his patients. Especially, since I like to try a more natural approach to my healing and try to avoid pharmaceutical drugs, he is willing to work with me and monitor my progress without making me feel guilty or pressuring me to go the more modern way. He is a partner in my health journey and I appreciate that he celebrates my efforts and success.

Fantastic experience: Jackie from the lab is super friendly and is quick with getting patients in and out. I did my iron infusions here and it was a lot of fun with her there to keep me company!

They are all wonderful and at your service almost anytime wouldn't change them for nothing!!! They are all wonderful, considerate and caring.

Doctor G has a way of actually listening to what I say and coming up with a plan to actually heal me! He is now bringing in new assistances and training them with his Real Compassion and knowledge! It’s awesome to know how much his office staff all are engaged with my well being! I ❤️ Urban Health Another great experience at Urban Health with Sam, Natalia and Jackie who did my lab work! Negative experience: Just avoid coming to this practice and choose another provider in Clermont. I came in for an appointment as a new patient over a concern of a bump in my tongue and swollen lymph node. Dr. Gonzales came in and did nothing, I mean literally nothing, other than shine a light in the back of my mouth to briefly look at the bump. Then he proceeded to tell me it’s “probably” from acid reflux. He did not feel my lymph nodes to confirm if they were swollen or not and he pretty much turned our entire 5 minutes interaction into my concerns stemming from anxiety and prescribed me an anxiety medication and acid reflux medication. I wasn’t referred to a specialist over the obvious bump growing on the back of my tongue. When I had a telehealth appointment set for a few days later about the results of my blood work I waited 25 minutes past the time of my appointment and finally had to call the office myself and ask if they had forgotten about my appointment. 10 minutes later got a call back from one of the nurses who literally laughed on the phone when I told her it was like they forgot they had a telehealth appointment. I don’t appreciate not being taken seriously. I don’t appreciate being rushed during my appointment with the doctor. These doctors get paid WAY to much to run a practice this way. Patients should be taken seriously and made to feel like their concerns are being listened to. Also was charged a $25 co-pay which is fine and was expected but they also tried to charge me an additional $25 just to give me my results of my blood work over the phone. Not ok.

Fantastic experience: Doctors & staff is very professional. Dr Gonzalez has been my Dr for over 20 years. I don’t plan on changing Doctors nor Dr’s offices. I give this establishment 5 ⭐️.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Gonzalez for over 10 years and I got nothing but good things to say about him, Dr Moreno and the whole staff. They have been instrumental in my and my family's health care, always willing and ready to provide the very best from check-in to checking out. The facilities are very clean, plenty of parking and I do not recall any time where I had to wait an inordinate amount of time. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Negative experience: i love the doctors they are great and so nice buy the girls in the front are rude and unprofessional they just want to make a simple problem hard and difficult when it really shouldnt be at all ! He always had a great front desk staff but now all of a sudden theyre now rude and absolutely disgusting attitudes are makong me second guess about returning.

Fantastic experience: I spent weeks researching for a Dietitian in the area. There weren’t any and then I was referred to Wendimere Reilly at Urban Health. She’s an amazing Dietitian, who specializes in Gastritis and was exactly what I was looking for. She is a breath of fresh air in the medical practice, overdelivers in her services, and an expert in the industry. Together, we’ve made huge leaps in healing my gut through food & bowel movement journaling, assessing which foods agree/don’t agree and other alternatives to medication for a holistic approach. Hands down, amazing and highly recommended for anyone who wants to optimize their health. Thank you Wendimere.

Also, Natalia Montenegro has to be one of the most brilliant and beautiful women I’ve ever dealt with in my life in the medical field. When she smiles she lights up the room. She is extremely personable. She listens and understands and works with you I n your concerns and your needs which even makes it more amazing to have such an amazing woman to work with you and to be on your side and make sure you’re getting better and not just write a script and go onto the next patient. The group of Doctors here have been the best I have ever dealt with and I hope anyone that ever comes here gets the same treatment I have received which is so amazing! I have referred several folks to this practice and they are happy with the results as well.

He is knowledgeable and really does Care and takes his time. Unlike many other Doctors these days, He is truly a traditional Doctor that sits and talks to you and truly does show Compassion. Negative experience: The worst medical office I have ever been to is this practice, how is it possible that they charge me $150 for a consultation where the doctor takes only two minutes with me to ask me a couple of questions that I had already answered to the nurse and tell me that he doesn’t know which specialist to send me to? I work with the health field and I had never seen that a doctor had such a comfortable position and little interest in helping the patient; a good health professional seeks through his knowledge to help the patient in the first place but it seems that $150 is not enough for this Dr Moreno to do his job.
