Capstone Parrish is a valued health care provider dedicated to serving the community's needs. Our facility is known for its caring and attentive staff who truly listen to their patients. Many users have praised the affordable care we offer, especially for individuals without insurance. The clinic has a clean and welcoming environment, with a pharmacy on-site for the convenience of our patients.
While numerous patients have highlighted their positive experiences, including receiving thorough consultations and feeling genuinely cared for, there have been concerns regarding the communication and scheduling. Some clients have reported difficulties in reaching the office staff by phone and faced long wait times for appointments and authorizations. Moreover, certain reviews indicated that not all staff members consistently meet the desired level of professionalism.

Negative experience: Dr was OK but we've been waiting on a very important authorization for a medication that their Dr sent in. We can't get ahold of the nurse, they refuse to call us back and no one will even attempt to send in the authorization. Don't come here if you need any meds on a specific date bc you won't get them and will be left trying to figure out what to do. Also, they won't put you into the patient portal so you can contact anyone.

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit and I must say this place has been amazing to me. The doctor listened to my concerns and we set up a plan to get me back on track. The lady at the front desk was so sweet and answered my questions and the lady who takes the vitals made me feel relaxed and comfortable. I didn't have to wait long and everyone greeted me with a smile. I highly recommend this place if you don't have insurance like me and need to get your health back on track.

Negative experience: Terrible! Wait time is ridiculous! The last three times I have been there I waited over an hour and a half! I will never go back!

This office has made me feel out of place and also made me feel like I was being discriminated against. This office and doctor Christopher Shariett made me feel unwelcomed here and they didn't care about me as a patient. I asked for a physical exam and didn't get one and I was told that the doctor doesn't have to give me a physical exam if he didn't want to. If I could give this place no star I would have. I would not recommend this office or any other office like this to anyone. This office acts like they care when they don't. This is my experience with this office. I hope they don't do any one else like they have done to me. I'm saddened about how I was treated here at this office . I'm finding another doctor who will care for me as a patient. I'm 100% displeased with the services here. This place is a joke.. Reasons I'm dropping this place: 1. My request isn't being respected 2. I've been talked about and I do believe I've been talked about. 3. I feel like I've been discriminated against. 4. I feel like I'm NOT care for as a patient. 5. I feel like I have been disliked and not wanted as a patient. 6. I also felt like I have been laughed at by the doctor and the UAB nurse. 7. I feel like the doctor chased me away from this office. 8. I also feel like I have been lied to. 8 reason I'm dropping this place as my primary care
Negative experience: Worst experiences ever with the nurses and them giving you information on your results. It doesn't seem to be the doctors problem. I've called all day long trying to get someone to assist me. They never call you back. They never want to do their jobs correctly. It's sad that it's these kind of people working to help and serve the community. I'm never coming back to this location ever again. I'm very displeased with the services. I wished I had better things to say about this place.

Positive experience: I think it is hard to rate a physician. The pharmacy staff is polite and knows what is going on. The front desk usually has some sense. The place is over worked for sure but they are providing accessible health care. I try not to hold it against them. I do not care for one of the doctor but what can you do?

Negative experience: Called to ask if they did sports physical and they said yes. Then was told had to make an appointment that they didn't take anyone after 330. It was 315-320 when I called and was on the way there. Was told I couldn't make an appointment because of the time. If you didn't have to wait on the prerecorded message and then Wait on someone to answer the phone, my daughter could've probably got a physical that day. Not to mention they advertise at local football games and says to call to get your sports physical.

Negative experience: The staff at check-in are nice, but some of the doctors are horrible. Long wait time, and they do not get in a hurry for referrals or prescription.
Negative experience: Great service for COVID vaccine during lockdown. Anything else I have tried has been an absolute joke. Everyone puts things off to other people. Legitimately wanted to refuse a referral when our insurance and the specialist both sent us to this specific place for a referral to specialty treatment. This facility is a total joke.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this clinic, for a lady with no insurance, this is a dream come true. The Doctors and staff are so caring and I love the way they research your diagnosis. They really care about their patients. There is so much to be offered even with medication help. Thank you for all you do.

Deniser Atmore is a truly wonderful Nurse Practitioner, she doesn't believe in over medicating people, she is very through in her patients care! The nursing staff are always so kind. I have great insurance but will always be seen here because of Ms. Deniser!!

Negative experience: My wife went to Capstone to make use of the sliding discount prices. $20 isn't bad at all. It IS, unfortunately, the case of "You get what you pay for." My wife has multiple health problems that the doctor whose name starts a 'D' refused to listen and chalked up most of the health problems as fixable just by "Going for a walk." Can cancer patients cure themselves by just going for a walk? My wife had to repeatedly ask to be put on her previous prescriptions even though the doctor said that wasn't necessary. I consider it luck we even got her medications she asked for. If you have any health problem regarding your weight, do not come here.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with their prices. Only $20. For my unemployed daughter to be seen. Got a good price on prescriptions too. It was a week or two for an qppointment. MIchelle said lady doctor or nurse practitioner was very nice.

Negative experience: If I could give them a negative review I would. They are a joke as a medical clinic especially dental. The only reason I went there is because it's a sliding scale clinic and I could afford to get teeth extracted. Don't bother they are rude and the worst place I have ever been to. Not only that when they extracted one they cut my mouth and gums so bad it took almost 2 months to heal. When I tried to make another appointment they told me it wasn't part of the plan. So now I'm stuck with only a couple teeth left. They are meant to help people and they are lacking.

Negative experience: I've been going here for over 2 years now. I can't even begin to list all of the complaints, but I'm tired of it. If you can get through to someone, because they often hang up on you without even answering half the time, if you have any issue other than making an appointment the front desk is rude and treats you like the biggest inconvenience. They close the pharmacy without changing the voicemail or letting anyone know anything, stating “there have been signs posted for 3 weeks”. Excuse me for not just driving by at least once a week to keep up to date. I don't even live in Parrish. I only come in once a month for my blood pressure medicine and once every 3 months for check-ups, change your voicemail it's not hard. You try to voice any concern or complaint and they treat you like you're being dramatic or unreasonable. The only reason I have stayed this long is because Dr. Miller actually at least acts like she cares, and listens to me about what's going on. I wish she had her own practice. I won't be back.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist and all the staff are so nice and helpful. It is a great place to go to a Doctor for $20.00. They have their own pharmacy on site and that is very convenient. If they can't help you they will help you find the right place to go. It was very clean and welcoming. We are blessed to have Capstone Rural Heath in our little town. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Negative experience: Wish there was the option to do negative five stars. I called and scheduled an appointment as one is expected to do. I take time off work shift my schedule around and 30 mins before my appointment this morning while I'm driving to the office I get a ride phone call stating that I will have to reschedule because the physician I was to see just didn't show up for work. I explained that I really need to be seen for some issues I am having and that I would gladly go to another location. She was rude and snappy and said I would have to reschedule without even taking time to look to see if I could be seen elsewhere. My wife then calls and gets an answer from Gabby at the Parrish location my wife started out trying to explain the issue and it must have been the same associate I spoke with earlier, or either they have two extremely rude individuals working there but this Gabby was completely rude all but cussing my wife. I have the best insurance BCBS and chose to go to Capstone due to it being closer to home and I had heard good things. More in more in the past two years all I hear is Negative and I can personally tell you that I have dealt with several unprofessional individuals by phone and I have not went once in the last two years without some sort of issue. My meds not being sent, labs results never being called, my yearly insurance information not being submitted resulting in me being charged $50 on my plan. I had to call numerous times within two weeks to get that straightened out. I am currently looking for a new primary care. This is the last I will do business with this place. Truly a disgrace. So now I have wasted time at work, no work excuse, and not getting the medical care I was seeking and not one of the two individuals we spoke with was kind, helpful, or considerate of my situation.

Fantastic experience: My husband had dental work here and he really loved it there. He said everything was so clean. He got insurance and started looking for another dentist. He never found one he trusted and was relaxed about everything going on. And that says allot he was a big baby when it came to Dr and Dentist. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs help.

Negative experience: This place has caused me nothing but trouble.. I see Dr Miller see doesn't give me enough prescription refills she gives me one and I see her every 3 months I have to call every month to get refills and when I go see her she acts like she's took a handful of xanaxes she can't keep her eyes open I'm trying to find another doctor as I speak so we'll see

Negative experience: *****I have changed my rating due to multiple things that have happened to me due to staff at Capstone. The young girls that answer the phone are ABSOLUTELY the rudest! I have even heard them cussing and complaining,before they rudely transfer me. The male office manager will support this behavior and argue that they didn't say or do anything rude. So every time I called I got the horrid attitude. They dont seem to realize people are not feeling well.. so treat People with kindness. Or AT LEAST let the person know you are going to transfer them. Don't just rudely transfer them with a loud huff. I feel there is a lot of High and Mighty attitudes from several staff members. I even told my provider I did not want to call or Contact the portal... because, what I thought was private, is actually read by these rude girls before sending it back. It's not private at all!!!!! I even got to the point I was very uncomfortable walking in there. So if anyone is using the portal.... know that it's being read by anyone before your provider ever sees it. The service and bad attitude has gotten severely out of hand. Find another place to go!! The cheap prices come with poor quality treatment.

Positive experience: Great place it helps so many people who don't have insurance and they now have a low-cost dental clinic. I have insurance but I know a lot of people that don't in this place is a lifesaver for them their medications are even reduced in price so most people with any income especially those with very low income can't get there life saving medication without spending every time they have

Started off real good but as time progressed they seemed to want me out and all the promises they made were lies. There are some good people there though. The program has a good foundation to make a really helpful experience.

Positive experience: They work towards making sure you're healthy and even have options for uninsured people to see a doctor. Lord forbid your insurance run out though. The front desk staff doesn't relay messages to your doctor and you end up going without blood pressure medicine for a month. Then when you finally get to see the doctor, they're pretty upset that their receptionists didn't let them know that you're going through sort of a health emergency.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Haldar is the best. He really cares about you. He always takes the time to listen to his patients. All of the staff is always so sweet. Plus you don't have to wait long at all before they call you and in a room before maybe 5 minutes Dr. Haldar will come in. Great place. Plus now they have a dentist and eye center. And the pharmacy is right inside.

Positive experience: Clean and professional but, I'm giving it a 3 star because I was told by the doctor and the theropist they don't perscribe benzodiazepines. I understand they are restrictions on certain prescribing medications but, please evaluate the person and at least review a person's background before you shut them down.i didn't feel heard at all . I am a former correctional officer and do not take anything. Imagine being told the only medication that helps you,There not going to perscribe to you. I didn't make a big deal of it because everyone is polite. But, I didn't feel heard or my personal situation evaluated

Fantastic experience: The Parrish clinic is a God send to this little town and a general bright spot in the county. Deniser is a wonderful NP with genuine concern and care for her patients. Never have a problem getting things done here and being taken care of. Very professionally run from all aspects. Very happy with the new addition of the pharmacy of which I have used NAUVOO for years and would say will be hard to beat. I truly thank Capstone for it’s generosity towards our town and all they do to help move us forward.

Positive experience: I started going here in November, nice friendly people. Switched getting my meds too the pharmacist there in Parrish. Ran out of an important medication because they had closed due to a holiday. Understand they just opened up a pharmacy there but i ran out. Had an appointment today, needed some blood work done, after 4 different nurses they finally accomplished it. My appointment lasted 2 hours and i wasn't able too get my meds as i just missed it at closing time,5 o'clock exactly. So i asked the receptionist then Doctor Miller to have it sent too Wal mart, i go all the way into Wal mart for my meds that was much needed and it was NEVER called in and when i called it was the answering service. They closed at 5 i was at Wal mart at 5:24. Soo now i have to go all weekend without. Thanks.. when i left Capstone the gate was down at the pharmacy but they were still there. I guess some get treated differently there than other's

Fantastic experience: They are the only Drs in 20 yrs to actually fight at all cost to get my treatments for my liver and because of this clinic and the wonderful staff I'm going to live to see my son get married and watch my grandbabies grow up God bless this place..

Negative experience: I have never been in this place that I did not have to wait a long time its apauling of the uncaring response I have had and no respECT I was 30 min. early and still wasn't called back an hour after my app. they new I had to work they was calling people a head of me they new I couldn't wait I'm berry sick been bleeding in my bowels you would think your doctor would care but I guess mot thanks for nothing

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful establishment. Warm, caring, attentive staff all the way around. Pleasant disposition with everyone you come in contact with. Very affordable. I drive all the way from Hayden to Parrish and it's totally worth the trip. And the office is really modern. Clean. Spacious.

Negative experience: The doctors and nurses here have always been nice but the receptionist at the desk was very rude and unprofessional to me today. She had an attitude from the time I walked in. I was having a hard time breathing and just needed a refill on my inhalers. When I was trying to pay for my visit she was talking really loud letting the whole waiting room hear my business. I will never go to Parrish clinic again. I’ll just stick with Nauvoo clinic. Nauvoo is awesome and a very sweet receptionist. I walked out of Parrish clinic. I didn’t even get seen. I had to go to emergency room just to get some relief from my asthma.

Negative experience: Dr. Miller is very cruel and uncaring. This is the most unprofessionally run doctor’s office I’ve ever been to. They treated me with disrespect and the nurse actually laughed at my concerns. I went in after moving from Soith Alabama in order for me to keep receiving a very vital prescription that I need to function on a daily basis. They e-scribed the meds to the Walmart pharmacy in Jasper. Well, the Walmart pharmacy was going to have to order it and it would take three days. Well, I needed the meds that day because I had started a new job and needed the meds to function properly and hold down my job. So, I called Dr. Miller to ask her to e-scribe it to the CVS. Well, it’s now three days later and Dr. Miller still hasn’t e-scribed the medicine. I’ve never in my life been treated so disrespectfully by a medical staff in my life. Luckily, my doctor’s office in my old town e-scribed the script in for me or else I would have eventually lost my job waiting on Dr. Miller. This clinic is a JOKE. The people who work there are a JOKE.

Negative experience: I used to love this place but my last few visit have been plagued with billing errors or inconsistencies, staff members that get confrontational just because you ask questions about services your paying for, staff members giving false information about billing, and service providers that are seemingly apathetic.

Negative experience: I went here nearly 5 months ago after a bad spat of bronchitis, upper respiratory infection and lung infection. I had a horrible cough during that and developed a hard pressure in the upper center part of my stomach which is pushing on my ribs and heart (possibly vagus nerve) I explained all of this to the doctor that I seen and told him I was having problems breathing since it started, much worse when I sat down. I also explained to this doctor that I had been taking meds for migraines but had ran out and needed a refill. Once this doctor found out I was a smoker, he seemed to not even care at all. He blamed everything on smoking. I had my 12 year old son in the room at the time and this doctor literally drew a graph of how long I was going to live on the bed paper. He terrified my son!!! I knew then I'd never see that man again! Instead of checking to see what the pressure was and instead of refilling a med I had been taking for 12 years he put me on Buspar. The first night I took that Buspar the pressure increased so bad I could hardly move! I'm also now having to take bp meds since all of this. I'm 34 years old, I should not have all of this going on and for it to hit like it did all at once. And instead of this doctor trying to help me he terrified my son! He also prescribed me Naproxen which luckily I didn't take because I went to St. Vincent where they done at egd and found I have chronic gastritis as well as reflux esophagitis so the Naproxen could have caused a stomach bleed... I've seen another doctor here who is better than the first but I am still having the same issues. I'm honestly believing a stuck hiatal hernia or something else has been missed. The new doc put me on zantac which didn't help either. I feel no better, in fact I feel worse than when I did when I went to try and get help here about 5 months ago. As far as the staff, nurses and other docs they are great. The first doc I saw I would not recommend to my worst enemy!
