Fantastic experience: I have known Dr Majid for over 10 years. I have worked with her in a hospital setting and currently in her own practice. Dr Majid is a very knowledgeable, caring and hardworking surgeon. She goes the extra mile for her patients. She keeps her self up to date with education courses, learning up to date procedures and is involved in several committees in the advancement in the care of the Bariatric patients. She constantly finds ways to improve herself and the practice. This dedication she shows she expects also of her staff. She spends time answering questions and educating staff. Every question or concerns becomes a teachable moment. I have worked with other surgeons before and Dr Majid is the only one I know who takes time out to do this. Dr Majid has very high standards and expect her staff to abide by these standards especially in the care of our patients, with patients information and providing quality care. HIPPA guidelines are adhered to due to the law and in respect for patient’s privacy. If you need a surgeon I would whole heartedly recommend Dr Majid. She is not only skilled in Bariatric surgery but with surgery for Gastro esophageal reflux disease, endoscopic procedures and other abdominal surgery

Fantastic experience: The most professional/ consistent practice I’ve ever come in contact with! All of the staff is top tier!

Negative experience: My experience with this practice was appalling. Below is a list of many incidents that occurred while under her care: 1. Her office would constantly contact me since my first appointment regarding various topics. This is fine, what is NOT okay is asking patients to speak/call insurances and obtain medical files like clearances. Insurance communication and or clearance letters from other practices should NEVER be the responsibility of the patient. 2. Dr. Majid treats her staff horribly. During a telehealth appointment, the doctor is visibly upset with me for "not providing clearances" when in fact I did weeks prior. It was a result of her poor communication, disorganized practice that she was not advised of this. When I told her this, she proceeds to demand her staff member into the telehealth appointment, repeat what I said, and correct her in a belittling demeanor IN FRONT OF ME. I fixed the issue so she could stop pestering her staff, which led her to offer me a job at her office. I felt so terrible that I took the blame and called later to apologize if I had any part of the staff getting yelled at by their boss. I instantly knew this was a case of hostile work environment. 3. My insurance waited for a specific response since June 5th, my surgery was already scheduled for June 18th. This office scheduled a surgery WITHOUT approval. They wanted ME to contact my insurance to "speed things up" 4. Dr. Majid started me on a liquid diet for 2 weeks for a procedure without having an approval from my insurance. Her office then called me 4 days before said procedure to say, "we are not sure if your surgery is happening yet." What kind of doctor puts a patient on a diet for a procedure that "may" happen? She asked if I wanted to reschedule the procedure AFTER I purchased and started the diet. 5. When confronted about this, Dr. Majid told the policy holder of my insurance that her practice "Does not need to take responsibility for this" in her words this is normal for healthcare and insurances. So, cancelling surgeries and having them up in the air is completely normal in healthcare? Or is doing prep for a "maybe" surgery normal as well? 6. My case was treated as if I was a guinea pig. It seemed that everyone was learning from my case. Dr. Majid would repeat "my office is learning or having a meeting from this case." If this practice is in training, patients should be aware before proceeding with treatment. Seeing errors and them being corrected in front of me, especially in such a vile tone, gave me an impression of dysfunction and disorganization. Especially poor communication skills from Dr. Majid. 7. Dr. Majid/her office then still tried to convince me to have this procedure even after all this took place. I proudly declined due to the previously mentioned points and because I simply did not trust this woman to operate on me especially being under anesthesia. I cannot imagine what working with her is like, but also what her OR is like. Not only was I uncomfortable with it, but so was my family. Dr. Majid did not take this lightly as she passively hung up the phone on me. Regardless, I still want to thank the office staff Olivia, Viola, and Ivette. They tried their best with what they are given and communicate with patients so gently and kindly. These ladies do an amazing job, but unfortunately because of Dr. Majid and her horrible attitude, I can see how things get miscommunicated and why it's confusing. However, they DO NOT deserve to be spoken to or subjected to Dr, Majid's hostile demeanor. I hope they find better as it is very clear Dr. Majid does not value her staff in the slightest. Dr. Majid has 14 years of experience in this field and although I do not want to discredit or invalidate her experiences, I will not stay silent about the treatment I received here. Experience is great on a resume, but to patients your attitude and how you treat humans is the very important. Unfortunately, no number of years can replace the disregard someone may have for human feelings.

Fantastic experience: I very seldomly write reviews but felt the need to share this very positive experience with Dr. Saniea Majid’s office. Dr. Majid is very personable and professional. She explains everything to make sure you understand all of your options. Dr. Majid is very compassionate about each and every patient and their individual success. You can tell she really cares. Dr. Majid’s staff is also very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Majid if you are looking for a healthier you. She will give you all the tools to succeed.

Negative experience: DO NOT use this Dr. she only cares about $$ and not people. Will charge you more if you have insurance for an initial consultation (admitted by the office). Also she has "levels" to her initial consultation, based on the amount of time spent. If you want your consultation to be about weight loss medication she will disregard that and primarily discuss surgery options, she is doing this specifically to inflate that time so her office bill you more. When I asked her about this directly "she doesn't speak about money". This is on top of some really inappropriate questioning. So go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Majid repaired my hyatal hernia and she was wonderful throughout the entire process. She explained everything to me before and after the surgery. I am now doing great and am happy with the results.

They gave me the option for a tele visit and with my hectic schedule, it worked out great. Fantastic experience: Dr Majid is amazing! I just had a Gastric Band over Bypass removed less than a week ago and feel the difference already. She saved my life. I had an esophagus measuring only 1/2 inch in diameter to swallow food which was slowly killing me without even knowing. I knew I had issues keeping anything down but did not realize how serious. Besides all the adhesions and scar tissue in my stomach and esophagus. Thank you Dr Majid for basically saving my life! Now onto healing my body and getting back on the correct nutrition plan.

Fantastic experience: 11-28-22 Today I was really nervous when I walked in the weight loss and wellness center but after talking with Dr. Majid and her staff the nervousness started fading away. I love the fact of having a nutritionist that would assist you along your journey. They answered my questions that was really concerning to me and was worm and welcoming. I decided to have the sleeve done because I’ve tried for over five years or better to loose this weight and I’m ready to get off all these medications, just sick and tired of being sick and tired. Negative experience: I would like to share with you my experience with Dr. Majid staff to schedule appointment. First then you call no way you will be able to talk to the person they send you a link via txt to your phone and after you fell out all details about your self you will receive a new link to schedule appointment. Magically you will receive the following message: “Hi! Although we work with your insurance, your particular plan does not have benefits to see Dr Majid. We are happy to see you as a new patient and Dr Majid will discuss all weight loss options at your visit however there would be a fee of $350 for the initial consultation and $95 for follow ups. Please let me know if you'd like to proceed with the appointment. We look forward to helping you!” And next one: “your appointment at 4:00 PM on 10/12/2022 at 6 Brighton Rd #106, Clifton, NJ 07012, United States has been cancelled. If you have any questions, please reply to this text message” No other explanation and if ask any questions they don’t reply? Who think this is great service? I am done with any communication with such a great staff. In addition to Doctor staffing comments. First I received txt message stating that I been offer schedule appointment and need to pay $350 out my pocket because Doctor not ACCEPTING my insurance! Next second my appointment was CANCELED! Then I ask what type of benefits I don’t have and that benefits I need to have and why appointment was canceled??! Also, prior to my call I call my insurance and they conform that Doctor in Network. If your referring to CTT4 that you using to bill insurance company for services I am not even sure that your staff call insurance based on time line of responses. In my opinion Your staff handle situation very unprofessional. I would not ever concern to schedule other appointment. Thank you

Negative experience: I was so unsatisfied with the initial consult Dr. Majid did. It was my first consult at a weight loss center ever and I was inquiring about the bariatric ballon. As any patient should I had a lot of questions and concerns. And the more questions I asked she would be annoyed or not fully go into detail like I hope she would. When asked if please she can further explain I would feel it was a bother. It’s not the type of behavior I look in a doctor when they are doing surgery on me. $350 for a consult is too much for just a blood pressure check and family history and condescending behavior from the doctor.

I came from another Dr’s office that did not follow through with my insurance. With Meritain Insurance, to gain approval persistence is necessary. Dr. Majid took Meritain on, after I had had denials. Her staff called everyday and she called for a physician to physician consult. It seemed like an impossible feat, but I am 1 week post surgery, As far as Dr. Majid’s ability. An Excellent Surgeon that is triple board certified, wonderful bedside manner and listens to her patients, MT-patient

Fantastic experience: Okay, I was thinking I really seriously need to get the weight off, but I decided during Covid-19 lockdown!!! So I have virtual visits like once a month. Prior to open heart surgery, I was around 265 or so. Very depressed and barely able to move around. My weight today was 242, not so depressed and moving a little easier. Not as great as surgical options but I'm quite pleased with myself.

Positive experience: This review is my honest opinion perhaps someone felt or feels the same way I did. Praying that if this happened to you don't give up. Stay with Dr. Majid. "SHE REALLY CARES ABOUT HER PATIENTS" I do realize some Dr. are not good with communication or bedside manners but are excellent in their field. Staff was lack with follow up. I was really excited about the weight loss journey, my initial visit was not as I expected. Dr. Majid was in my opinion preoccupied I felt like I didn't get her full attention. I was going to look for another Dr., but after praying talking to the psychologist, nutritionist and my pcp. I decided to stay with her and continue my weight loss journey. The key thing is to pray before you make an decision. I'm Looking forward to this journey with Dr. Majid. Lesson learned from this Everyone has an off day. I'm Happy with my choice to not overthink the initial visit. Prayer changes things. As of today the Dr. Majid and her staff are great with communications and follow up. Fantastic experience: After years of of having several complications, and previously having gastric bypass surgery, I was drained!! I felt lost and hopeless!! Living with the feeling I would never find another surgeon to help me!! It wasn't until my sister came home and handed me a phone number. I called first thing the next morning. From my very first phone call to my post op visit, the entire staff showed nothing,but compassion. Dr. Majid answered every last question, and her bedside manner was incomparable. She listened to me, gave me advice and how I was feeling mattered ALL THE TIME!! I PROMISE IF YOU ARE DEALING WITH OBESITY YOUR SEARCH IS OVER!! Change starts within yourself, but Dr. Majid doesn't have you face it alone!!! Best DOCTOR/SURGEON HANDS DOWN!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience with doctor majid. She takes this entire process very seriously and ensures that you have clear understanding of what you must do as well. Her expectations and standards are clear from the start. She does not want you to cheat your way into this lifestyle change. She makes sure you take it just as seriously before she proceeds. As you progress, she clearly outlines each step, never leaving you alone or confused. She makes sure that you are comfortable the entire time from the start of your journey to the very end. To be clear, she does not just perform surgery and leave you off to fend for yourself. You are required to return back and check in often so that she is able to monitor your progress and make sure nothing has gone wrong. She and her staff are incredibly professional and anyone who has negatively spoken about them is very incorrect. The staff creates a welcoming family environment which is why I enjoy going back for my checkups so much. If you want a doctor who shows that they truly care about your health with a comfortable environment, I recommend going to Dr. Majid. You definitely won’t regret trusting her, I know I haven’t.

Negative experience: This doctor is the worst and money hungry. So before I came into Dr.Majid establishment I called and asked the receptionist if they prescribed weight loss medication like Benzphetamine. They told me YES. Just to make sure I asked twice because this location was 40 mins from my house!! When i got there not only was her staff poorly trained but Dr.Majid had me waiting for an 1.5 hour. Finally I met this lady(She did not even apologize and her office was empty. No patients or nothing)and she goes in and tries to convince me to get gastric bypass surgery. Once I told her no she continued to try and convince me. Remind you most of her employees were bigger than me. I am 200 pounds(No stomach) and solid. Most of my weight comes from me having lymphedema. This lady is not only insensitive to people medical history BUT you can tell she makes money by performing weight loss surgeries. Most doctors would first at least try to create a meal plan and give you HCG drops etc. Everyone does not want or need surgery. Worse doctor ever. If you want to waste your money call her. If you want a doctor who is punctual and actual cares about you go else where!!
