Fantastic experience: Our visits with Dr. Dadkhah have been very informative and enjoyable.
Negative experience: This registered dietician was quite rude and responded unprofessionally during our virtual visit including openly laughing at my food choices . It was uncomfortable and I ended the call early.

Negative experience: Just had a brief conversation to inquire about the practice. I find her to have attitude issues as she wasn't willing to take time to answer my questions. Instead, she referred me to look at her website and asked me to call her back when I'm ready to schedule. She basically hung up before I finished talking. Surprised to experience this kind of attitude from a clinician.
Jin, hands down this is the best review someone ever left for me! You made my day! How many clinicians do you know who answer the phone and you get a chance to talk to them directly? And how dare did she refer you to her website and past reviews when you asked her about her knowledge and how she works? I should say, yes it seems that someone has "this kind of attitude" here!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dadkhah is more than a nutritionist, she is a coach. She teaches you how to eat well and healthily but she is not rigid about her instructions. She modifies her recommended regimen to allow her patients to enjoy the food they enjoy (albeit in small quantities) and yet have healthy food. She is extremely knowledgeable and always shares pertinent articles with her patients.

She used online calculator for optimal calorie intake, best exercise that fits my health and needs, advise about vitamins, she also used visuals for what my meal should look like. Fantastic experience: I look forward to working with Maryam to both lose weight and have a better diet. While my husband and I are making changes in our diet to increase veggies, salads, and fruit, I am still not able to achieve the goal of walking more up to 1.2 miles 6 days a week. Part of the problem is I am now having issues with my Left knee. The best thing about Maryam is that she doesn't "scold" me instead she encourages me to move forward and try to work on achieving the goals I have set.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dadkhah is professional, knowledgeable and tailors a nutrition program to meet a client's needs and current condition. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Dadkhah. I've been working with her for around 12 months. In that time, she has helped me understand my diabetes diagnosis. With her guidance, I was able to get off insulin and reduce my A1C to prediabetes levels. She takes time to answer my questions each meeting and provides further reading when I ask for it. Her approach is flexible and adaptable to other things going on in my life. It is reassuring to work with someone who clearly knows her field so well and is able to immediately put her hands on resources and answers. I also will say that Dr. Dadkhah has been flexible with scheduling and is a pro at using Zoom. Her accepting insurance has been a big help in allowing me to have regular sessions with her.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dadkhah is amazing and great! She has fantastic advice backed up by science - regularly shares her sources from American Cancer Society or Harvard professor's studies on nutrition and health. She is very good at holding people accountable but in a friendly and non-judgmental way and helping to set realistic goals to maintain your progress. She also understands your struggles and can help figure out ways to help you get past them and keep you motivated. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: It’s not easy to change your lifelong diet, Dr Dadkhak knows that and works with you to slowly change eating habits. I feel like I’m her only patient with all the time and attention she gives me every appointment. She knows it’s not just science but it’s also emotional, I like how she shares recipes with me to try to make certain super foods seem more appealing.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Dadkhah is by far the BEST nutritionist that I have been to. I have recommended her to all of my family and friends who also love her. What I love most about Dr. Dadkhah is her approach to nutrition. She believes in a gradual rather than radical shift to lifestyle which will help you lose weight but also maintain it. Also, she understands that her patient’s lives have challenges and she really works with you to overcome those barriers (by for example recommending office exercises, etc.). She is a certified physical trainer as well, so she has been giving us really great recommendations for physical activity. Dr. Dadkhah is never judgemental about making mistakes or not having a steady progress but works with you to prevent those in the future. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her.

Fantastic experience: Worked with Dr. Dadkhah as part of a recovery plan following a stroke. I was fairly active and generally ate a balanced diet, but she helped me fine-tune both my diet and my understanding of nutrition. Fantastic experience: I have had an extraordinary experience with Dr. Dadkhah. Her guidance at first almost seemed too simple -- but I followed it and it worked. The resultant weight loss was undeniable. My past experience with diet plans were complicated -- measuring food, exact combinations of carbs and proteins, whey protein supplements, eating at exact hours, etc. I began to have serious doubts about the previous experiences and began to search for a Phd dietician. Dr. Dadkhah kept appearing in the search results. The reviews were outstanding and this influenced my interest. My 1st appointment was in the 2nd week of June 2019. My 2nd appointment was the 2nd week of July 2019. I have lost 15 pounds without disruption to my life -- no requirement to weigh food, no requirement to follow strict recipes, no diet supplements, etc. I have received remarkably sensible guidance about food choices, fluid intake, exercise. At each appointment we have set 4 or 5 agreed upon goals. Much of the guidance fits beautifully into my life style. I have never felt hungry and have never experience a craving. Clearly from this review, I am pleased! I am willing to update this review as my journey continues.

Positive experience: I sought weight loss counseling with a plant based diet. After reviewing a 3 day diet journal I brought, she made a few reccomendations like eating one egg and a cup of fruit for breakfast and avoiding starchy veggies. When I pressed for more detailed plan with lists of do and don't eat foods, she handed me a pamphlet on the Mediterranean diet. I had to press her for a calorie goal. She never asked about my social history, or activity level, or made any reccomendations about exercise. Overall, for me, it was a huge waste of time and money.
Teresa, Thanks for your prompt feedback. First session is more about assessment and we might not be able to cover all the pieces. We covered comparison of different weight loss diet and went over your food log, per you request. I do have a limited time for each patient, and I do my best to respond to their concerns, which does not give me enough room to cover all their needs. You asked about the calorie requirement and then in that short amount of time, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics handout of Mediterranean Diet that has a calorie based diet was the best handout I can think of to give you. I am sorry that I could not meet your expectation. I hope you can find what you want elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with Maryam for several months. I’ve learnt a lot on numerous topics regarding both nutrition and exercise. Fantastic experience: My experience with Dr. Dadkhah has been absolutely amazing. I have tried many ways to lose weight, diets, exercise...etc and never had much success. I have been seeing Dr. Dadkhah over the last 6 months and I have lost 50 pounds....and it just seems far to easy...knowledge about nutrition and exercise I believe is what has given me great success so far and Dr. Dadkhah is clearly a deep-well of knowledge. The whole experience has been exceptional, she really listens and arms you with a lot of information to make better choices. We work out changes to my diet and works within my very limited/picky food choices...and I am very picky. I really feel I haven't given up on good food nor do I feel tortured like I have in the past with fad diets that never seemed to work for me. When I eat out or grocery shop, I now have information to make great choices. I can't say enough about Dr. Dadkhah, she has enabled me to improve my life/health dramatically in just a short time and I can't thank her enough.

Fantastic experience: I wish I could give Dr. Dadkhah 10 stars. She is very patient and knowledgeable. She takes time to listen and explains everything in detail and in understandable terms. Everyone’s body responds differently to different foods and she is constantly reassessing what works and what doesn’t for your specific case. This makes the experience very individualized. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Dadkhah for a couple of months now. Her approach is one that offers encouragement while working with clients to set goals tailored to each clients needs. She has a body composition scale in her office for those interested. Additionally, she provides supplemental videos and articles on various health topics.
