Fantastic experience: My Experience at Active Family Wellness Center has been exceptional! The office staff is very welcoming, and friendly. Dr. Godwin did a very thorough exam. He listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. In just 3 weeks of receiving weekly adjustments, I am sleeping better, my migraines have disappeared, I've had an increase in energy, and I can work longer - PAIN FREE! Fantastic experience: Went to AFWC for six months (March to August) and have regained 80% of my range of motion back. Would’ve continued going, however I relocated to a different city. However, if I was able I would have been a lifetime member! The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. Dr. Godwin teach you how to sustain even if you’re not in the clinic. They’re very flexible with accommodating to your scheduling as well as your needs as you’re getting adjusted. I could not recommend Dr. Godwin more! He is very thorough. He listens to your needs. He suggests the appropriate treatments to get the desired results. He goes beyond the above help you make a lifestyle change that is conducive to continual healing. I truly love and thrived at this establishment.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Godwin for more than 10 years. I previously had constant pain in my hip, for a couple of years. Doctors used shots and ran tests but it was still painful 24 hours a day. After seeing Dr Godwin for a while I was pain free. Without the pain I slept better and was more active. I had already had spinal fusion on C4-5 of my neck. Doctors said I have degenerative disc disease and should expect more surgery in the future. 12 years have passed and I've had no other surgeries. I remain on a maintenance schedule with Dr Godwin and I feel great. I highly recommend Dr Godwin!

Fantastic experience: Dr. G and his team are professional and kind. I came in 8 months into my pregnancy and the adjustments and care has been helpful in incredible ways. Fantastic experience: The South office was approximately 10 minutes away and then it turned into the North office and about 30 to 40 minutes away(depending on traffic). This is the only difference that I see. Yes the new location is bigger but equally as clean and organized, level of services have not changed and I believe they have added several things. So where Dr. Kenyon goes I go because he and his staff are simply the best!

Fantastic experience: Upon arrival, you already feel special with a board that has your name on it and a warm welcome and smile from Courtney at the front desk. The first visit includes a tour of the facility, and oh my goodness, it is clean, new, and nice! This office is a vibe with great music and staff with amazing energy- different from the many doctors/chiro’s office I’ve visited in the past. Dr. Godwin took the time to listen, level set expectations, and sent me home with a packet of information from my exam after the follow-up appointment. I look forward to my visits and getting into better physical health with the help of Dr. Godwin.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing Dr. Godwin for about a year now and my body has never felt better. I am an avid gym girlie and my adjustments keep me mobile and agile!!!! Great service, the reception staff is amazing and the music in the office is always jammin. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Unprofessional; there was never any closure for my care plan! Near the end of my sessions (adjustments), my appointment reminders stopped and when I contacted the office two weeks later, they texted me and said I had one session left. According to my records, (I have proof) I had three sessions left and a final evaluation (a re-exam and a private room vitality meeting with the doctor a week later). Due to the inconsistencies, I felt my best interests were unimportant and were not addressed, therefore I felt uncomfortable and I decided I was not going back to the Family Wellness Center.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Godwin and the Active Family Wellness team is amazing. I’ve been to my fair share of chiropractors just as regular self care and others chiropractors in the past made me anxious about how they adjusted my body. I can honestly say that I’ve not had that feeling about Dr. Godwin. He is always very careful about the way makes adjustments and he educated me along the way. I look forward to going because I feel so much better after my appointment. I can tell in the way that I walk, how my body feels and how clear my head feels from just one adjustment. His team is so welcoming that you really feel like family from your first appointment. Dr. Godwin also came to speak at my event and he helped my audience understand their bodies in a way that they never had before. He empowered them and provided us with tools we can use when we want to improve the care we are receiving from our other medical professionals. He is simply amazing.

Fantastic experience: We started taking our daughter (18mo) a month ago, seeking help with her mobility. She was Frank Breach and stuck for about 16 weeks at the end of pregnancy. We have seen such a huge progression in her mobility; crawling on all fours, pulling up on furniture and beginning to make some advances in walking. We have been blown away at what the weekly adjustments have brought to her balance and mobility. So grateful for Dr. Godwin and the patience and compassion he shows her, and the whole staff who have been so friendly and great to work with. Highly recommend this practice for families - I also have been going for pregnancy related pain and have seen/felt a huge relief in my symptoms - hip/leg pain, leg cramps and pregnancy carpal tunnel.

Negative experience: I went there for 8 weeks because of my scoliosis and I will not be continuing there. They charged me almost $700 to go there for only 15 minutes once a week for 8 weeks. The 8 weeks didn’t help much and on the day that was supposed to be my last day the lady told me that we are going to continue and do it every other week without asking me and did not inform me there would be more payments. When I went home that day and got to moving around my back started hurting more than it has since I started going there. That was just a little over a week ago and I am almost positive they cracked my back so that I had to keep going there. Since that session I have been in so much pain non stop and I can feel my ribs poking me. I am very frustrated because that $700 was all I could afford to fix my back, that i have been trying to fix for a very long time and I thought it would really help.

Fantastic experience: I was diagnosed with Degenerative disk disease a few years ago, the same ailment my mother had. She never went to a chiropractor so I didn't either. I didnt even know it was an option. So she continued to have pain for the remainder of her days. When I went to see Dr. Godwin, I really didn't think it would work because the pain was so tremendous. I could barely walk. It was a referral that got me here, so i figured i would try him. When i saw him the first few times i had doubts because the pain was still there. But then after another adjustment or two, the pain began to subside. The reccommeded treatment is not finished but based on the current results i trust i will get what i came here for. The staff is pleasant, it smells good and I look forward to Dr. Godwins delightful bedside manner. It's truly been an overall wonderful experience. I hope to update soon.

I came to Dr. Joe with a back/hip issue that had caused me pain for several years. Dr. Joe was conscientious in listening to my issues and putting together a plan to relieve pain and also increase strength/mobility, at a very reasonable rate. After just a few weeks, my pain decreased significantly and has continued to decrease while increasing mobility and strength. I have enjoyed my experience and give praise to Dr. Joe for the progress I’ve made.

Fantastic experience: I woke up from a loud pop while napping and couldn't move my legs, stand up straight nor walk. It was a no brainer to call Dr. Godwin. I went to him during my pregnancy and unfortunately experienced a stillbirth June 12, 2021, not even a year later, I called and without hesitation he and his staff welcomed me back. He remembered me and the care he provided me prior to my daughter's passing. He was able to see me the same day and give me some much-needed relief. I'll be keeping him as a part of my self-care regimen. He's honest, skilled, experienced, and hilarious. I forgot I was in pain and "woke up like this" with him making my experience lighthearted. The front desk staff are personable and full of great energy. The entire organization and experience has truly blessed me. I look forward to conceiving again and being under his care for the duration of my pregnancy and to treat my babies. I can't recommend him and his staff enough. They're family.

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Joe Duchene for problems with my knee. Considering that my family care doctor ran x-rays and an MRI to finally say that my knee was fine the fact that i couldn't kneel on my knee proved otherwise. Dr. Joe quickly after examining my knee and what was happening, found that it wasn't my knee that was the problem but my hip. So, through 6 months of regular appointments and following his exercise regiment my knee/hip is completely cured and along with my lower back issue that was contributing to my knee pain. Also, most recently, while helping a friend move, I accidentally dropped a refrigerator on my foot. Quickly I believed it was broken. Going in to Dr. Joe he assessed is was not and that it was soft tissue damage. He quickly went to work and my foot is 10 times better now and will just need to ice it for a couple of days and I'll be 100%. Doctor Joe is wonderful and enthusiastic and probably the best diagnostician/chiropractor I have ever been to. His style and the way he explains the problem is very down to earth and gives very amusing anecdotes to help the situation.
