Big Iron Gym Everett

Negative experience: Drove 30 minutes to attend a 7am class. Sat outside for 10 minutes, then received an automated text that the class had been canceled at 7:06. Could have been an emergency that truly happened "in the moment," but I'd really appreciate more notice so I could have replanned my day and where I was going to get my workout.

Negative experience: They listed a piece of equipment for sale, and we agreed on a price and pick-up date. Since it was a large item, I took a day off to transport it. However, the next day, they sold it to someone else without even notifying me (thankfully, Facebook Marketplace did so I didn’t have to drive 2 hours) While I understand they received a better offer, the issue is how they handled the situation. They could have informed me, giving me the chance to match the offer, but instead, they completely disregarded our agreement. If this is how they handle business, imagine what it must be like to be a member of their gym. This behavior clearly shows that the only thing they prioritize is money, not integrity or professionalism. I would strongly recommend reconsidering doing business with or joining this gym.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, looks way better in person. The staff and managers are great people. The equipment is good as well as the music, not that Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift BS you here at an Anytime or a LA fitness.

Fantastic experience: I like this location more than the SLU. I go to SLU on the weekdays bc it’s convenient, but they badly need to maintain the machines and the bathrooms always smell funky. On the weekends I drive 40miles 2 way bc the Everett location is always clean and the bathrooms are well kept. Although some members walk around barefoot and don’t wipe the machines they use, Carol keeps the gym clean and organized and I appreciate her for that. Please give her a raise. She deserves it

Negative experience: Haven't went to this gym in ages and forgot about it. My card expiration date changed and they continued to charge me for 2 months. Will never use this gym again. Edit: when I try to cancel they want a written note emailed to them or "they wouldn't know if I wanted to cancel". On top of that their "policy" is to cancel 30 days after you submit your cancellation to charge you once again. If I stop paying rent I get evicted. If I stop paying for Netflix my account gets suspended and not charged for months on end. These "policies" are unjustifiable and predatory in my opinion.

Positive experience: The atmosphere is very...social media influencer. It gives off LA vibes, and there's even a tripod laying around. The gym is small, and there is a single bench, squat rack, and cable machine. If it was a busy period, you'd be waiting for equipment.

Negative experience: Tried to call multiple times to get a day pass, they kept sending my default robot texts and then just never called me back.

Negative experience: Agreed to a training package over the phone. Texted the trainer within 24 hours saying I wasn't interested. They sent me an agreement via email. Didn't sign it, asked for a cancellation. They said I had to cancel over the phone. I left a voicemail asking to cancel. I have never stepped foot in this place, and they have tried charging me for the second month in a row. They might be great for training, I have no idea, I've never been there, but trying to cancel a verbal contact with these people is harder than getting a mortgage.

Negative experience: The equipment keeps breaking because they do not maintain it well

Fantastic experience: Big iron allows 24/7 access via a key fob for all members, it's the only option in the riverside (old Town Everett) with that option. It's a mom & pops facility (so the exterior, interior, staff - present during traditional business hours all reflect a style & aesthetic lacking in say a generic corporation). They're in Seattle too, you can have a dual membership and I believe they opened a 3rd gym since I 1st became a payee for 1 of their clients. My experience with the husband, wife, and lovely blonde named Brooke that seems to be the GM at the Everett location have always been wonderful. Nice people, nice gym, and excellent addition to the revolting ever-rott area

Negative experience: Responded to an add on Facebook, scheduled an appointment. The staff person did not show up, no one ever called or responded to follow up. Or try and re-schedule. Nor did anyone at the front desk. In fact I was completely ignored as I sat in the lobby for 30minutes.

Fantastic experience: Big Iron Gym is my favorite place to get a great workout.

Fantastic experience: Convenient 24hr access, good variety of machines, would be nice to see a flat pull-up bar that could alternatively be used for muscle-ups but this is a bodybuilding focused gym, not calisthenics focused so I understand the exclusion.

Fantastic experience: The gym has the things you need to get fit. The atmosphere is motivating, unlike how I feel at a big commercial gym. If ROCKY were to train for a fight, this is the kind of gym he would train at. Get swole bruh. Or whatever your goal is. Haha. It has a pose room too. Pretty neat.

Negative experience: Went in to see about a membership and the receptionist was pretty unhelpful and made me feel unwelcomed, I asked 2 questions and she pretty much pushed me away.. there was 2 people using the gym and she said their usually busy. Would not recommend

Negative experience: Rude front desk woman. How are you going to expect to make a sale without explaining your options for a potential new member? I literally would rather drive 20 minutes to my other gym rather than visit Big Iron Gym (7 mins away) & it’s gross vibe/energy from the staff & atmosphere again.

Positive experience: Great power gym, everything you need for your workout minus a locker room. Would be nice to have showers but they've packed as much into the space they have as they can.

Positive experience: there is no timetable for the holidays. arrived for training, but the gym was closed. music is playing loudly inside, there are many cars in the parking lot. on the phone I was told that we are closed. is this a gym for the elite? but in terms of equipment this gum is very good. a large selection of professional equipment. too loud heavy music.

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for about 3 weeks now... Everyone at this gym is serious about their fitness journey, from beginners to bodybuilders. It's an old school gym with basically everything you need. I've been to other old school gyms, but they are filled with people who think they own the entire floor/ machines. You won't find any of that here. People that work out here are serious, humble and friendly.

Big Iron is a true old school family run weight lifting gym! It is not some big box gym so if you are looking for great people, an amazing vibe and to actually put in some work this is the place! Fantastic experience: This is my first gym membership so I'm a newbie. But I definitely don't feel unwelcome here. There's everyone from the first timer to the seasoned bodybuilding/ powerlifter pro here and feels like a what a gym should be. No one's looking at you funny because you made a noise while lifting or anything like that. If you need help or have a question the staff is on point and friendly. I love this place!

Fantastic experience: Great old school gym! Lots of weights and people that are serious about training. Great posing room if your serious about physique competition. Just bring some headphones you might not like the rap choice of music. Best part of this new gym is the members actually seem to put their weights back unlike LA Fitness.

Fantastic experience: B-I-G gym has everything you need within reach and is well-rounded. It recently expanded to include a Crossfit-style room that you can access additional facilities. Great for both functional training and weightlifting.

I have gyms much closer to where I live but nothing compares to this environment so I take the time to make the drive out. It’s a super inviting community. Everyone is there to help when you need it. Overall love this gym and excited to see the community grow!

Fantastic experience: Great community gym, lots of free weights and machines. The cardio side is limited to several stair steppers, and a couple treadmills (they do have an air runner treadmill, which is awesome) It’s not your 5000 sqft corporate gym I tend to see the same people every day, everyone is very friendly. You can definitely get a great workout here!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love working out here, Jamie & Laura are great owners always willing to answer your questions and keep the place looking fresh! They have the biggest selection of Leg Machines and also tons of other machines you don't see at other gyms around the area! They have a great posing room with plenty of mirrors and a private posing/changing room. Also the energy from the other people in the room and the music makes the workouts even better. There is a reason this place is top gym in Everett. Also the monthly rate is very reasonable considering how great it is!

I’ve always struggled with being confident in the gym and worried about others. In this gym everyone is focused on their goals and are all very respectful and kind. Fantastic experience: Honestly I love this place. Everyone is friendly, NOBODY judges you, but they’ll help you with even the smallest thing with a smile if you ask or need help. The other members are amazing, it’s a great gym, it’s a true bodybuilders gum with a relaxed vibe at the same time. I honestly couldn’t be any happier at a gym than I am here. It’s comfortable and the 24 hour access makes it so much easier for people like me who work ridiculous hours at night. If I could give ten out of five stars, I would!! Oh and great family atmosphere too. Owned and run by a family, so go sign up, you won’t regret it.

Had looked for a gym near me a few months ago with little luck, and then out of the blue Big Iron Gym opened up within walking distance from my house. Jamie is a very knowledgeable lifter and friendly owner, and is always there to help answer your questions and help you realize your workout goals. I really like the 24hr access using a security key fob. Help support local mom -n- pop businesses, and check them out.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Big Iron Gym since their first official day in business and so far it has been a great new gym in the area! As a bodybuilder, I find a good gym environment so important! From good variety of machines, good music, lighting, and atmosphere, big iron really meets all the marks! Laura and Jamie are so friendly and it helps to have owners you can talk to and give good feedback. Their support around the sport of bodybuilding has been amazing as well and it truly feels like a family in the gym. Excited for what’s to come for Big Iron!
