Fantastic experience: Before I started working out at Prevail Conditioning five months ago, I came to the realization that I wasn’t going to meet my health and exercise goals on my own and that I needed some help and motivation. I found Prevail and, from the first phone call through the introductory meetings and all the training sessions, everyone has been supportive, knowledgeable and welcoming. Five months into semi-private sessions with Erin, I’ve made distinct and noticeable progress towards my goals of losing weight, gaining strength and just feeling better. She’s continually adjusting my workouts (often in real-time) for better results and in response to my evolving fitness levels. An unexpected (to me) result of the training, is that my balance, posture and flexibility have improved noticeably, and are something we now focus on. In addition to the semi-private training, I have had a couple PT sessions with Josh. Like everyone I’ve encountered at Prevail, I’ve found him to be professional, realistic and to have my best interests in mind. I’m constantly learning and being challenged at Prevail and it’s built up my confidence in and out of the gym. I wholeheartedly recommend Prevail to anyone, regardless of fitness or confidence level. Fantastic experience: Prevail is a game changer. I was struggling with low energy and knew I needed to be more active and was curious about strength training but had no clue where to start. I knew I wasn’t going to figure it out myself and that’s where Prevail came in. I was pretty intimated at first but the Prevail staff made me feel so comfortable and welcome. The 50 minute strength and fitness classes are a good mix of mobility, strength, and conditioning. The other people in the classes are fantastic and make it so fun. The vibes are always immaculate. I primarily work out with Kyle and Chris and both are awesome, knowledgeable, kind, encouraging, and patient coaches. Under their instruction, I now feel confident that I could go to a gym by myself and get a good work out in with proper form. Now with over 2 years of consistently working out with Prevail I feel more confident and energized than ever. And I have accomplished one of my long time goals: to be able to do a proper push up on the floor. If you’re curious about starting in them gym but feel intimidated, reach out to Prevail. It’s the perfect place for beginners to start and you won’t regret it. The community is full of wonderful people of all ages and abilities and the coaches are warm and welcoming. Fantastic experience: Prevail has been one of the best experiences for conditioning and weekly workouts. I used to go to the gym and attempt my own fitness program but never felt like I was making progress. Since training with my group trainer Wyatt I feel more involved and can actually see results taking shape. All of the staff at prevail are so welcoming and nice, it defiantly feels like a family. They offer not only classes but multiple other services that really help fine tune yourself and give you the best path to a healthy and strong body.

Fantastic experience: This is not your regular gym! It's a personalized approach to overall health. Build muscle, get physical therapy, receive nutrition tips, plus much more - everything you need to become a better, healthier version of yourself. All of the trainers are motivating and kind. Fantastic experience: When I started at Prevail a year and a half ago, I was coming off an injury and could barely raise my arm above my shoulder. I’m now back to doing pain-free pull-ups and the heaviest shoulder presses of my life. I feel fitter, stronger and more mobile than I have in years, and the workout variety is amazing—I stay challenged and never get bored.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Prevail for almost six months and it has had the single biggest positive impact on my health and fitness journey. I ran up against several injuries over the past several years and felt unable to break back into a healthy routine without proper guidance. I had previously tried what felt like everything including physical therapy and personal training elsewhere in town and it simply was not working until I found Prevail. I personally worked with Wyatt but everyone I have encountered there has the same level of professionalism and knowledge that will get you where you need to be.

Fantastic experience: Great new facility and awesome staff. Science based approach to training that gives you full body improvement for sports, health, or general fitness. Fantastic experience: Prevail has become an integral part of my life over the last year! I have a reconstructed ACL tear from 10 years ago and when I came to Alexis, my trainer at Prevail, I told her I don't do split squats. My previous trainer had me avoid them because they caused pain. Not Alexis! She worked with me in tiny steps until today I can do raised front foot, split squats with weight and NO PAIN! I used to wear my knee sleeve almost every day to help with stability and pain. I haven't worn it in a month! I'm super grateful to Alexis. She is so encouraging and positive while at the same time she gets me to work hard. And I'm seeing amazing results!

Fantastic experience: Signing up for Prevail has been one of the highlights of my year. The facility is top notch and the group classes have a friendly and uplifting atmosphere. Fantastic experience: Normally I’m not one to write reviews. That said, Prevail is a special training gym. Yes, they have classes and great equipment, but it’s the trainers & clients that has Prevail be a premier Santa Barbara training facility. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, making every workout challenging yet enjoyable. Plus, there is a fantastic sense of camaraderie among the members. I particularly appreciate the guidance offered during my training for proper form which maximizes my results and minimizes the likelihood of a muscle strain. In short – this gym is a gem!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! I was in town visiting for the week and they were able to get me in on short notice. The PT (josh) was highly attentive while I explained my issues and gave me some great at-home exercises to do.

Fantastic experience: As an active 67 year old woman, I came to Prevail with specific goals in mind. I wanted to focus on functional fitness as a way to improve not just my strength but also the way I move through my everyday life. I was looking for a program that would allow me to be an active grandparent, and to age with the ability to lift and carry suitcases, groceries, and toddlers. I have found this and so much more at Prevail. Working with Kaleena has improved my posture, my sports performance, and my confidence. The Prevail gym staff is welcoming, supportive, and I feel completely comfortable. I look forward to it and I feel great when I finish. I only wish I had started earlier!

Fantastic experience: Prevail is an outstanding gym! I sought them out to help with a back injury that wasnt being solved with physical therapy. Not only have they aided in getting my back to a stronger place but they continue to inspire and motivate me with my own personal race goals. I signed up for a x-country ski race in Bend, Oregon. A sport that is very challenging to train for in Southern, CA. They provided tips and support for how I could condition and prepare. I highly recommend them for any injury or athletic goals!

Fantastic experience: I started at Prevail about a year ago, after an admittedly long hiatus from working out. I feel incredibly fortunate to have picked back up working out with a trainer of Kyle's caliber guiding me with expertise and encouragement. The 1:1 attention is top-notch. The community here is so welcoming—no judgment, just support, on good days and bad. Chris, Wyatt, Alexis, and all the instructors make every class fun and effective. Prevail accommodates all skill levels, whether you're just starting out or already in peak shape. If you're thinking about starting or continuing a fitness journey, Prevail is the best place to do it. I'll be moving away from Santa Barbara, and aside from my family and friends, I'll miss Prevail most.

Fantastic experience: I have been fortunate enough to workout at Prevail for the past 2 years! Over the past 2 years I have been able to learn the correct ways to train at the gym along with being able to form a community in the gym. Not only with my trainer Kyle but with everyone involved on the prevail team! Over the past 2 years I have been able to significant improvements in the gym and been able to see the benefits payoff outside the gym in my sport! Fantastic experience: I have had the absolute pleasure of working out at Prevail for about a year, and cannot say enough good things about the program and the team. I started when I was in the worst shape I’d ever been in, and was met with positivity, enthusiasm and encouragement, and a strong focus on meeting my body where it’s at in order to gain the strength and mobility I need to continue my active lifestyle as I make my way into middle age. Kyle finds a way to inspire me to work harder even through my own tough days or when I’m lying on the ground and yelling expletives at him, and the work has become an important part of my regular routine. Every trainer I have worked with has shown the same level of thoughtful dedication to help me become the healthiest, strongest version of myself, and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of the Prevail family.

Fantastic experience: I was a regular at Prevail from 2010-18 and got in arguably the best shape of my life (specifically around golf and cycling fitness) ... then life got in the way and I "let myself go" - Fast forward 6 years and a couple of back surgeries later - I'm so glad I found them again! (And even that part is a testament to the personal attention you get- Peter -the owner- would reach out occasionally to check in despite me basically ghosting him for years. So technically, they found me again!) Coming off back surgeries I thought I couldn't perform anywhere near my previous levels and had quite a bit of trepidation... that was immediately alleviated by the knowledgable training staff. It's only been 5 months since starting back up but I feel like I never left AND I'm back doing activities I honestly thought I'd have to give up after my surgeries. I truly have Prevail to thank for giving me my lifestyle back!

Fantastic experience: Prevail has been awesome! I originally joined with the hopes of building strength and getting safely coached through olympic and powerlifting movements, while working through muscle imbalances and a couple irritating injuries. Over the past few years I've continued to see consistent improvements in each of those areas. I've enjoyed the challenges of each program, -every one with new patterns being mixed in with the staff demonstrating and correcting form along the way. However my favorite aspect of Prevail has been the encouragement and accountability from the coaches and the rest of the group. -If I'm honest, the sleds move a whole lot faster, those nordic curls and accessory movements actually happen, and the slow eccentric lowers are spot-on because no one counts quite like Peter:)

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Prevail highly enough! After years of hip surgeries and recoveries I was feeling very deconditioned and was looking for a gym where I could begin more serious weight training and rebuild my strength. A friend suggested I try Prevail and from the moment I met Peter (the owner) I knew it was the right fit. Peter really took the time to get to know me - my background, the challenges I’d faced with my surgeries, and what I wanted to achieve with my workouts. Our conversation helped me understand the philosophy of training at Prevail (over time “progress, not perfection” became my mantra!) and gave me the confidence to jump into class and start training. What really sets Prevail apart for me is their commitment to personalized workouts. Whether it was modifying exercises to fit my needs, helping with my form, or adjusting weights on the fly, they were always there to support me. And the encouragement and camaraderie from my fellow Prevail-ers kept me going through the toughest days! Although I had to leave Prevail after a year because of a move, the progress I made and the confidence I gained will stay with me forever. Whatever your fitness level or experience, Prevail is the place to help you reach your goals in a safe and supportive environment!

Fantastic experience: I am a musician, web developer, and a senior. As a pianist, I’ve developed excellent fine motor skills, but otherwise could be uncoordinated and had concerns about balance and lower back pain going forward. Sitting down all day definitely didn’t help. I was finally PREVAILED on by my wife and older son to work out at Prevail. I needed the help of their excellent physical therapist, Josh Fong, to help me get going. I’ve been doing this for several months now and my balance is solid and my back pain has pretty much disappeared. But the big surprise is that moving the support from my upper arms to my back has resulted in greater agility and speed in my fingers. In short, working with Josh has significantly improved my piano playing! I should also mention how comfortable and welcoming the place is, especially for an older guy like me.

Fantastic experience: I live in Santa Barbara part time. When in town I do physical therapy and train at Prevail 2x per week. It is the most amazing and effective training I have ever had. Real results every time. I used to miss it when out of town. But this winter I signed up for their online foundations program. It kept me improving and doing one hour workouts 2x per week. Not like having Peter or Kyle in the room, but the next best thing. Prevail has changed my fitness level for over 10 years and I still love doing working out with them. I get the results.

I've since lost around 30 pounds, built lots of muscle, and feel better than I have in a decade thanks to the supportive environment and expert guidance available here. The highlight of my journey has been working with Peter, the owner and coach. His deep understanding of body mechanics and unwavering commitment to proper form has been instrumental in my progress. Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Prevail in group classes for about a year and have nearly doubled my strength. The community and trainers are amazing and I always feel safe and supported. The only gym that could get me out of bed before 6am and it’s always worth it!
Apparently Prevail can make an early riser out of anyone, lol! It was your dedication and hard work that doubled your strength, Ali, and the Prevail family is just happy to be a part of your wellness journey.
Fantastic experience: The trainers at Prevail are excellent. They do a great job of coaching, teaching, and challenging me with their workouts. The trainers pay close attention to form, making sure we do the exercises properly to avoid injury. They also check in during the week to see how I am feeling after workouts. I like how they adapt the workouts to people’s needs. If you want to be pushed hard in your workouts, they can do that. If you need modified exercises because of injury or because you are new to working out, they can accommodate. I also love the community that the trainers build in our classes. Fantastic experience: I really love this gym. They opened across the street from me soon after my old crossfit gym shuttered. I didn't know a thing about them but i saw weight racks and the location and hours were great so I went it for a trial class. Since then i've probably put on 10lbs of muscle.

Fantastic experience: I chose Prevail because of their qualified trainers. They know their physiology. My trainer has a kinesiology background. Any one of them can explain which muscle group the exercise is targeting and offer the appropriate prompts for the most effective execution. I appreciate that whatever trainer I visit for a make-up session already knows of my strength-training progress and challenges. That's teamwork...because they care about each one of us.

Fantastic experience: My experience at prevail was so great and truly led me to have greater confidence in myself and my ability to become stronger and fitter. Fantastic experience: I'm 28 years old and always have been considered a "big guy". I have fallen off quite a bit since being named Scholar Athlete my senior year of high school. Prevail Online Coaching has given me my confidence back that I had back then. Having a plan, tracking my workouts, and getting coach feedback is like having a coach there without the pressure of a physical human next to me. Since starting in January, I have seen my stamina in both walking the golf course and hiking mountains improve vastly. I have also learned some tips from their podcast and emails to improve my diet & sleep which has helped me in my professional life. This is a great program for anyone who is interested in improving their health. The workouts are moderate to hard depending on the amount of weight you lift, last between 40 to 55 minutes with normal exercise pace, and only take 3 days a week. This program fits into anyone's schedule!

Fantastic experience: Update to my previous review, re the Recovery Center: The Recovery Center is a great concept for promoting post-workout recovery in a spa-like setting. An infrared sauna and compression therapy are available, but I’ve primarily used the Red Light Therapy (RLT) and the Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (PEMF) after sessions with my excellent trainers (thanks Kyle and Wyatt!) and my excellent PT (thanks Josh!). Both modalities make me feel better, with less muscle soreness, stiffness and joint inflammation; and both promote relaxation and sleep. RLT has also helped with a neurologic condition, clearing away brain fog, and improving my gait and balance. Bonus: it has reduced the depth of my laugh lines and improved my skin texture overall! PEMF also improves my mental clarity and is relaxing and energizing at the same time – a great combo. I’m optimistic that both RLT and PEMF will facilitate cellular repair, keep my symptoms at bay, and preserve my ongoing well-being. Thanks to Prevail for creating this health and recovery oasis! **** I couldn’t be happier about returning to the Prevail family after the pandemic stopped their offsite strength and conditioning classes, and then I had to have hip surgery. I was initially intimidated at the thought of returning to workouts, not only because I had to start from scratch physically but because I’m a “senior” among the young and the fit. I opted for one-on-one training to make sure I didn’t learn any bad movement habits or court injury from any of my physical issues. I’m fortunate to now be training with Kyle and Wyatt, who have both brought me back from my totally deconditioned state and put me on the path to getting my strength, mobility and flexibility back. Kyle has patiently guided me through the process and motivated me, modifying my program when necessary to still achieve the goals if I need to go easy on old injuries. He has the instincts of a physical therapist and has some neurology insights as well, all of which comprise treatment as well as great training! Wyatt is also flexible in adapting my program to my issues, and he is a great motivator for me to keep aiming higher. I also benefit from seeing the talented physical therapist Josh, who is great at holding me together, and it’s convenient to see him in the same facility. They all coordinate with each other with respect to my programs, which is a plus and makes me more confident about my movements as I’m continuing to progress. Peter has assembled a great team that make Prevail a first-rate and friendly place to get fit, whether you go for private training, group classes, or anything in between. Their new facility on State Street is well- and efficiently designed too. Oh and, seniors are also welcome! This is not a warehouse full of treadmills and elliptical machines, but a place for excellent and personalized training. I highly recommend Prevail to anyone who is looking for a fun but serious place to get strength training and conditioning!

Fantastic experience: Became a client of their on line Thrive program. It's fantastic with the app and very detailed workouts outlined three times a week. There are example videos ensuring the proper form and intent and it tracks all of it so that you know what to build on from previous. You can also send messages of your thoughts or questions and Prevail answers them quickly and well. The real blessing is I can simply choose a gym close to me/work and do the outlined workouts as best fits my schedule. My time is much more effectively spent and the results have been life changing. Highly recommend the Thrive program to anyone who is time constrained or not close enough to Prevail to enjoy in person.

Fantastic experience: Prevail is a great gym with great workout classes. But what really makes Prevail stand out, are the amazing instructors. Kyle is the best! He really breaks down every step of the routine and makes sure you’re comfortable, while also encouraging you to do your personal best. They have check ins to make sure all is well both during your workouts and outside of class. Even as a group, the attention is personalized. They are as invested in you conquering your personal goals as you are! I fractured my ankle last year, and Kyle helped me make safe modifications once I was able to come back. It’s a great group to join, and everyone that attends has the same mindset.

Fantastic experience: After training at Prevail for around 3 years now, I’m in the best shape of my life at 40 years old. Truly life changing from where I was about 6 years ago when I tore my ACL and had persistent knee pain for a couple of years. Not to mention, I went from driving the ball about 180 yards to now crushing it over 250 yards after training with Alexis at Prevail!!!

Fantastic experience: My health and fitness journey started when I was 10 years old and faked a knee injury to get out of running the mile in PE. For the next 8 years, I used every excuse imagined to get out of every required PE class I attended. My whole life, no one has ever considered me athletic, especially myself. I never had any interest or desire to “be in shape” until I turned 42 years old and had a shoulder so weak I had difficulty raising my arm above my head. I’ve been working with Chris Perozzitti at Prevail for over 6 months and repaired my shoulder, gained tons of strength and a lot of confidence in my fitness. I recently went to Santorini, Greece and breezed up and down 2,000 ft staircases. In just 6 months I look and feel the strongest I’ve ever been in my life. Chris is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about fitness, the facility is fantastic and the entire Prevail staff is so kind and encouraging. Because of Prevail Conditioning, for the first time in my life I consider myself athletic.

Fantastic experience: Prevail is the reason I am here in the Sierra mountains having a great hiking day, completely pain free! Two years back I had an Achilles injury. After visits to two different doctors and PT specialist hd attempted to help I found my way to Prevail. After being evaluated by Kyle I began working with Erica in the Masters class and then added doing PT with Josh. The coordination and teamwork between the two did the trick. It was so efficient! Fantastic experience: I was referred to Prevail Conditioning a year ago when, yet again, starting up on my health and fitness journey. Joining this gym and the community they have built has been one of the best decision's I have ever made for myself. While I wasn't a complete stranger to the gym - I was never consistent. I've learned so much, and gained such a supportive group of friends. The trainers (shout out to Kyle and Rowan) are so much fun to work with and very knowledgeable in their craft. They care about form and progress, not perfection. They also have a nutritional program that is optional, it is easy to follow and is based on slowly building better habits which has made such a huge impact on my performance in the gym and feeling/looking better than I can really every remember. It's not a diet, but learning how to better understand food and how to fuel your body well for better health. No matter your goals, this gym has different programs to match them. 100/10, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I started at Prevail about 11 months ago and it has been the best decision I have ever made for myself. When I first started I was constantly sick, had back pain and was just not in a good place. After 11 months of going twice a week I have lost a little over 45 pounds, I have grown so much stronger mentally and physically and I have joined an amazing community. Everyone in the class is so uplifting and fun to be around. Kyle is literally the best coach I have ever had. Couldn’t recommend Prevail more!

Fantastic experience: I worked out for a couple months at Prevail, and really enjoyed it. They have a great crew -- friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming, and a beautiful facility. I'd particularly like to give a shout out to Rowan, as well as the owner Pete -- thanks guys, you're awesome! They have in-house PTs which is very useful. I got a lot of very helpful tips to rehabbing my increasing stiff and uncooperative body, and always looked forward to coming in.

Fantastic experience: Prevail’s online training programs have given me an stress-free experience in the gym with programs already made for me and my goals! The online program meets you where you’re at, with video examples and written descriptions to ensure your quality of movement. I’ve been able to see my progression through my load and volume of training as well as feeling it and hearing it from other people! Fantastic experience: Prevail Conditioning is a highly recommended training center. I love this center! It's not just exercising I'm training there. This team is great! They are really knowledgeable, sharp, friendly, nice and always trying to do better. I love how they bring specialists to do workshops, events and classes in addition to regular schedule. The classes are fun, the programs are great. I have a back issue and injury but Prevail team is taking such good care of me, I'm prevailing and my condition is improving.

Fantastic experience: So as not to bury the lead, I went to bed last night thinking, "I can't wait to go to Prevail at 6am!" Frankly, I can't remember the last time I thought something like that. For background, I have been a gym member both here and abroad, and was a competitive swimmer until college, so I have a solid idea of what training is. After years of nominal exercise, I was overdue for real fitness. Prevail has great energy, the trainers are amazing and knowledgeable, and everyone is super supportive. For me, Prevail manages to strike the elusive balance - they are simultaneously encouraging yet never pushy or overbearing. The training is fantastic, flexible for all ages and conditions, with a variety of sessions, and they keep moving so I'm able to really just focus on the exercises and body form. The program structure really makes it easy for me to stay mentally grounded in the moment. In a short time I have lost weight, built up my heart health and physical fitness, and really enjoyed the process along the way. Thank you Prevail team!

Positive experience: I recently had the opportunity to attend a group fitness session at Prevail and was blown away by the entire experience. I appreciated the plentiful parking, clean facility, and welcoming environment. My trainer demonstrated incredible skill in providing a workout that was both challenging and appropriate for my fitness goals. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Prevail Conditioning for more than 7 years. During this time, I experienced several heart procedures which restricted how I exercise . Prevail helped me structure the workouts within my capability. Currently,, I exercise daily and go to Prevail twice per week. On a recent trip to San Diego my old friends noted that I was in better shape than 10 years ago. In addition I was able to finally beat them at golf! I can’t thank the whole team at Prevail enough for helping keep me healthy and vigorous even at 72!!

Fantastic experience: I really love Prevail! The team is wonderful and the group classes are challenging but supportive. It's really quite impressive how fun 6am classes are with Rowan. The staff is really encouraging and they keep the atmosphere fun. I've never liked exercising as much as I do at Prevail.

Fantastic experience: I was in a terrible car accident in college (30+ years ago) and was thrown out through my windshield. This caused major damage to my body and resulted in a stroke caused by a head injury. I initially went through years of rehab to learn to walk again. Because I was young, I was fortunate to recover eventually. However, because of my brain injury I was left with some balance issues and my left side has always been weaker as a result of left side paralysis from the stroke. Over the years I have worked out-practiced yoga- Pilates-you name it- to really try to help my balance. As I’ve gotten older some things have shown up in my body because of old injuries from the wreck. My husband started at Prevail and really encouraged me to join a couple years ago. I was on the fence but acquiesced-haha! I have had trainers throughout the years and I have done a lot of exercise…BUT I have never had someone who really took the time to understand MY body and challenges like Alexis has! From day one she thoroughly went through everything, understanding, magically, what to do with me! This is the first time since college that I actually have improved balance! Noticeably so! I have to say after all this time I just sort of accepted that these issues couldn’t really improve much, but they have with Alexis's commitment to help me. Not only has my balance improved, but I really love how she pushes me to work on strengthening my left side. I have always hated doing work on that side of my body because it was hard and no one I worked with got it. But she does! Also…I always HATED squats because they hurt my knees. I think I told her in the beginning that I just couldn’t do them. But she had different plans for me! Now I do squats like a champ and they NEVER hurt my knees. Why? Because Alexis taught me to use my glutes and not my knees…in other words…the right way. You would think one of the many trainers I’ve had in the past would have noticed and corrected me but the difference is that she took all the time to get to actually know and care for me, just like she does for all her clients. Thank you a million times over for really helping and changing me for the better. I am forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: Having some knowledge and experience with fitness, I always programmed for myself and never really reached out for help with programming. However, Prevail helped me realize the value of having other smart and experienced coaches program for you! They changed variables I usually would not change and push me in a different way than I usually do myself. Those density training days are brutal! My conditioning is much better and it shows when playing sports with my friends. My consistency has also been much better since working with Prevail. It was a great way to get out of my comfort zone in fitness. It is also extremely valuable to have coaches you can bounce questions off of and a new online community to connect with!

Fantastic experience: I dropped into Prevail during my vacation to Santa Barbara, and my experience was incredible. From the first point of contact with Jordan and the admin team to the welcoming atmosphere, and intelligent program design, I cannot say enough good things about Prevail. Fantastic experience: My partner and I started going to Prevail about 7 years ago when we retired. We wanted to be able to handle our large dog safely, travel extensively without needing help, keep up with the grandchildren, and walk the golf course! Prevail enabled us to do all that and more! I recently had rotator cuff surgery and have really seen the value in having enough strength and flexibility to move around, reposition myself, all without help. The training in our Masters class has been invaluable to making me more comfortable and has helped in my rehab. (A side bonus is the wonderful camaraderie of the other “older” masters, as well as the love and support from all the trainers). Our lives would be much harder without Prevail, and certainly not as fun!

Fantastic experience: I've been at Prevail for a little over three months now and I'm so glad I took the step to join this team. Before joining I was very sedentary for a very long time, working an office job and eating poorly. This really took a toll on my energy levels, my mood and my just my overall outlook on life. With two young kids and a whole lot of work stress, I realized I needed a change to help get me out of my rut. With Prevail, I now have a healthy habit built into my week that I use to expand into other areas of my life. I feel stronger and healthier even after just 3 months. I have more energy to keep up with my kids and no longer struggle to pick up laundry off the floor. Thank you to the whole team. It can be intimidating to be in a new gym, especially when others are much farther along in their journey, but I always feel a sense of community at Prevail, no matter who is in the gym that day. Fantastic experience: One day, my golf coach Stephen Douglas at Golftec literally walked me over to meet Peter Blumert, the owner of Prevail Conditioning to help strengthen my golf swing! I knew of other excellent trainers in Santa Barbara but Prevail offered testing to quantify where I would begin and where I needed to go ... with balance, flexibility and strength! Peter teamed me with Prevail's General Manager and Performance Coach, Alexis Anderson as my personal trainer. Alexis created customized exercise routines for both the gym and me at home EVERY day, with handouts and easy directions to follow. She both challenged and encouraged me tirelessly and with great kindness to develop the strength, balance and flexibility to walk gracefully and confidently, without the past experiences of tripping, falling and breaking bones. Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying I have worked out and/or played sports for most of my life. Now that I’m in my mid thirties and have kids, it’s hard to find the time for both of those. I started experiencing lower back inflammation and was lacking in motivation to start working out again. Prevail conditioning and the team there put together an at home workout routine that was flexible and challenging at the same time. My ankles, knees, hamstrings have never felt stronger. Plus, my lower back pain is gone, I have renewed motivation and I have more energy. The team at Prevail are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience!

Fantastic experience: Prevail Conditioning is such a different gym then I have experienced before, it really is amazing. I have been attending metabolic group classes and my body just feels incredible. My range of motion, flexibility and core strength have improved immensely. My joints don’t feel stiff, they feel loose and fluid. I don’t think my body has felt this good since I was 19 or 20 years old. Now that I recently entered my 40s, I can really feel the difference when I ski, play golf, swim & most importantly…play with my kids. Fantastic experience: As a work-from-home mom to an eight month old, I love that I can accomplish Prevail’s remote training sessions during my baby’s nap! For the first six months postpartum, I was doing postpartum workouts and knew it was time for something a little more challenging. I was nervous, but Prevail totally took care of me! They’re familiar with both pregnancy and postpartum modifications if needed. If I could describe Prevail’s style in a phrase, it would be “poco a poco” or little by little! I’m getting stronger, more flexible, more energized, and developing healthier eating habits little by little! UPDATE: I’ve learned so much through my online training program. I learned my pelvis may be out of alignment and have been giving exercises to get my body back into alignment. When you know your body well enough to know something is off, but don’t have the language or tools to combat the problem, it can be frustrating. Prevail provides the language and the tools you need to help you feel at home in your body again and not so cooped up. I feel stronger and I know I’m on the way to more balance and alignment. Fantastic experience: I've been doing Prevail's online workouts and they are awesome. I'm staying injury free, feeling increased mobility and starting to get stronger. I really like the workout variety, using the app, and the remote accessibility to a coach even though I workout at my own gym. Thanks Kyle, Peter, and the other Prevail coaches.

Fantastic experience: I started doing 1-on-1 training with Prevail because I was having back problems that were becoming incapacitating. Even though I mainly worked with Erin, the whole team at Prevail (Peter, Chris, Wyatt, etc.) is simply excellent. Not only were they able to completely customize the program to my needs (both in terms of schedule -- mine is crazy) and type of workout, but they made it FUN! After more than six months of working with them every week, I feel so much stronger and my back health has improved substantially. I suggest this team to anybody who needs to have a customized, bespoke approach to their health, from strength to mobility, to nutrition. It's an investment in your longevity.

Fantastic experience: For the past eight years I have been dealing with a mental roadblock. After I stopped running for my college track team I lost the desire to workout and stick with a nutrition plan. I didn't have a “why”. If i'm being honest, because I had (have) an awesome girlfriend and was no longer competing in track, I found myself sleeping in and skipping the gym. If I was feeling lethargic, I would skip the gym and tell myself tomorrow is a new day. This would go on for days, weeks and months. At least once a year I'd try to aggressively get back into the gym and it would work - but only for a few weeks or a month. Eventually something would come up. I'd get sick, have a trip or just want to do something else. I was stuck in this terrible cycle of wanting to get back to who I used to be as an athlete but frustrated because I couldn't make any long term progress. They say during the course of our lives we will meet around 10,000 people. The majority of these 10,000 we will never see, hear from, or interact with more than once. Occasionally, we will make a new friend or a pickle ball partner. But, every so often, we are blessed to meet individuals that will impact our lives. In my case, I am very grateful to have met Peter. We met last September at a mutual friend's wedding (shoutout to Sean) where we exchanged numbers and connected a few months later. I explained my history of trying to get back into exercising. He shared a lot of great advice about the need to evaluate and design daily systems to accomplish our goals. Then Peter told me about a fitness app they were launching in early 2023 and asked if I wanted to be a part of testing it. Since February I have been using their virtual program. It’s been extremely helpful for someone like me who likes to make sure I'm doing things the correct way. There are videos showcasing proper form and descriptions on the areas where I should be targeting. There are 3 workouts per week and it's a great mixture of upper, lower and core. Although it's remote, the ability to message Kyle and ask for advice has really been a big benefit! Nearly four months after my first call with Peter I am proud to say my weight is up. But more importantly, I continue to monitor my systems for sleep, nutrition and exercise. When I first met Peter, I told him my goal wasn’t just to gain weight, but to enjoy working out again. Four months in, I can say this goal has been achieved. I am grateful and blessed that Peter and Kyle are among the 10,000 people I have met because it feels like the journey is just beginning.

Fantastic experience: The entire staff creates a warm and welcoming environment, beyond the staff everyone who is participating in classes or private training are some of the kindest people I have ever met. I know first hand how nerves can talk you out of trying new things, especially when you will be in a group of people you don't know; but everyone creates a fun yet comfortable environment especially the instructor Chris. In the short time Ive been attending Chris's classes I have noticed a change in my body and even my mood. I always look forward to every class because how amazing I feel every time I walk out. Prevail is truly something special, I would recommend to anyone who is on a health journey no matter what that looks like for you!

Fantastic experience: Prevail brings everything I love into one place. The feeling of being part of a team, thoughtful techniques and movements to get stronger, and setting personal goals and having the support to achieve them. Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about Prevail. From the knowledgeable, kind and personable trainers, the option of classes available, to the community you build in the group classes you attend. Prevail and my trainer Kayla have absolutely transformed my body, mind and soul over the past year; more so than I could have imagined when I first started. I look forward going to class every morning, and on mornings that may be rough I am motivated by the people in class that I genuinely look forward to seeing and working out with. As an avid golfer, snowboarder, and kayaker I have not felt this strong and solid since college and I enjoy all those activities so much more.

Fantastic experience: Prevail Conditioning helped me get in the best shape of my life. I went on a bike trip to Italy and my training at Prevail, along with swimming, walking and biking on my own, made those long, steep mountains in Italy possible to bike, and even enjoyable. Prevail has a great staff, who not only push your fitness routine in a thoughtful way but at the same time advise with stretching routines when you have injuries.

Fantastic experience: After foot surgery and way too long without working out I started weight training at Prevail. My goal was to strengthen and improve my balance. Kyle has been incredibly helpful and very kind as I’ve not only gained some strength but also confidence in just getting started again. I see the value in doing this kind of exercise especially as I age. I was also given a complete physical evaluation before starting which was very insightful. Everyone at Prevail is knowledgeable, dedicated and so fun.

Fantastic experience: Recovery Center is a welcome addition to the Prevail experience. I’ve been using the PEMF, Red Light, Sauna a few times each week. I noticed a reduction in DOMS, better sleep, and over all less stress, with a better mindset. The 90 minutes is a great way to unwind at the end of the day. Highly Recommended!

Fantastic experience: Prevail has definitely set me back up for success in terms of my own health and wellness. As a personal trainer and coach myself, I saw the benefits from this facility as soon as I started my employment. I was in the beginning stages of training for 'The Endeavor Team Challenge", a challenging yet awesome adventure race. I, like many people had slacked during the lockdown. Taking the Sports Performance class has me focusing on the fundamentals and getting my body moving efficiently. I had a number of physical imbalances to address following my total knee replacement. Fantastic experience: When I got serious about my health and fitness I checked out a lot of gyms . Nothing measured up to what I found at Prevail Conditioning. Prior to signing up I had a meeting with one of the owners who discussed with me my current and past health issues and my goals. I found him thorough, friendly and genuine. I immediately signed up for a semi private training program where I work out alongside a supportive group of a few other members who are, under the trainer's watchful eye, working on their own programs to achieve their goals. For me it's a great situation. They also offer one on one private training and group classes in person or via zoom. My husband who as a now retired entertainment executive, sat at a desk for 40 years. He is currently working privately with Kayla to strengthen and work on balance and movement and is feeling better each week. This is a very purposed gym for people who want to age well into their later years as well as student athletes and anyone who cares about themselves. I am 60 + and mentally I think of myself around 30 but after working with Christopher at Prevail for 1 1/2 years, I am truly aging backwards physically. I am stronger, more confident and have better balance and endurance and amaze myself with what I am able to do now. I had a small setack about a year ago when I pulled a muscle near my knee and was unable to walk. Peter called me every day to see how I was doing, suggested exercises to strengthen the muscles around my knee and referred me to a well regarded doctor and physical therapist. Within a few weeks I was back and feeling better than ever. Do yourself a favor and check out Prevail. It's money well spent and one of the best thing you can do for yourself.

Fantastic experience: Last January, after some health issues, I started to work out with Alexis Anderson in the New Year. The program she created was to build strength and balance to address a tib/fib fracture, requiring two surgeries, that had occurred 5 years prior. Much to my surprise, I had the very unexpected result of being able to run pain free for the first time since before my ladder accident. Alexis has continually adjusted my program in order to maximize my improvement. The environment at Prevail is very positive and conducive to progress. I highly recommend going there for whatever goals you have!!

Fantastic experience: I was training in a group, through my school, the prevail trainers were so welcoming, and supportive. In the eight weeks that we spent there, I felt my self getting stronger every day, and I am very pleased with the outcome. If you are considering comeing to prevail, stop considering, you should do it, I had an amazing experience.

Fantastic experience: Every coach at Prevail is extremely skilled and knowledgable. If you're new to lifting weights or workouts, this is the perfect place to start. BUT, if you are an advanced lifter and/or have specific goals, you will be surprised at what they have to teach you on form, movement patterns and how not to get hurt. Each level is a challenge! They offer private, semi-private and small group classes, but what's even more important is that you can workout in a safe, fun and motivating environment. Superior training facility!
