Dr. Hurkman’s journey to become a chiropractor started when he was a child. When he was about 12 years old he developed severe back pain and abdominal pain issues. His mother took him to several medical doctors who diagnosed him as having constipation and suggested laxatives. When the problems did not resolve he was given muscle relaxers and referred to a physical therapist, who then put him in a brace for two years that went from his hips to his shoulders, wrapping around his entire torso. This not only did nothing for him but even made him worse by weakening his musculature. This experience created a passion within him to study different methods of healing.

I was a little reluctant to go at first as she found him through google. However I am glad we found Capitol Health and Injury Ctr because the staff is amazing and the treat we received really helped us through the pain and most importantly our daily lives. I strongly recommend Dr. Hurkman if you are in need of treatment.

Fantastic experience: If you are involved in an accident, just go here! Even if you don't feel injured. Better to be safe and your car insurance will pay for it. This is the best place. The doctor is so knowledgeable and will make sure your neck and spine are ok. My injury has improved so much.

Fantastic experience: Staff are amazing, and Dr. Hurkman always tailors to my specific needs. I’ve been going to this practice for almost 3 years and it has been extremely beneficial for my postpartum. My back aches less, I feel more confident when I tackle on long work days and it feels great to know I’m being taken care of. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I needed a more local chiropractor and I called and got in the same day because of a cancellation, filled in paperwork, got a tour of the facility, friendly staff, very welcoming, got an assessment and liked the results I was given, and returning the next day for x-rays, super happy.

First of all, entering the office, Shannon is the most adorable and kind director of first impressions I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Next, to meet the actual chiropractor. Dr. Jeremy Hurkman did a thorough consultation of me, my history and what was going on with my body. Carefully and respectfully he then was able to preform some chiropractic adjustments to help alleviate my pain. Dr. Hurkman then came up with a game plan for continued care to ultimately help to rid me of my stiffness, pain and tingling. Along with coaching on better habits and activities to keep these injuries from happening again. Looking forward to working with Dr. Hurkman!

Fantastic experience: Doc does a phenomenal job taking care of you and analyzing what is causing you pain. After a handful of sessions I am feeling little to no lower back issues. The machines at this facility are a bonus which alleviates the tension on my spine from work. Great staff that has knowledge within this industry.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to chiropractors for most of my adult life. I've been seeing Dr Jeremy now for over 3 years and he has been a blessing. He's done amazing job in relieving chronic back pain. He is willing to take time to listen to you and get to know you. His assistant Shannon is a sweetheart and a very hard worker. Positive experience: Service and staff are great! But the price and plans are way too high. I have been getting treated for neck and back issues, of which past treatments were done. I am on a low-no income budget, only getting unemployment at this time, but do have mncare insurance. Wish they had plans covering at least some of my costs!!!

When we looked at the market value of the services we provide, we are in the bottom 20% as far as our costs of services, and as such are one of the lowest cost providers in our area. As far as what your insurance covers, you'll have to discuss that with them. We cannot control what your insurance covers or doesn't cover. Fantastic experience: What a great first experience at Capitol Health & Injury Center. Shannon is a friend of mine that I met from Warman Muay Thai. She was able to get me in for a consultation and assessment the day of with Dr. Jeremy. I’ve gone to other chiro clinic and have never done an assessment like this with Dr. Jeremy. Fantastic experience: My neck was injured in a car accident years ago and Dr. Jeremy adjusted me and I very rarely have any issues with my neck now. If I do have issues, it is because I did not get an adjustment done. Very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and competent! I look forward to getting my adjustments! Fantastic experience: Shannon and Dr. Hurkman are awesome! She’s super sweet and always greets all patients with a smile. Dr. Hurkman is the best chiropractor I’ve seen. I’ve had lower back pain for over 20 years and each time I get pregnant, the extra weight I carry puts more pressure on my back causing more pain. This last pregnancy was the first time I finally decided to go see a chiropractor while pregnant and I’m so happy that I did! Not only am I feeling better now but Dr. Hurkman educated me so much on why I had so much lower back pain. Don’t wait over 20 years like I did to find a good chiropractor.

Fantastic experience: I came in with a severe pinched nerve in my neck. Pain was 9/10 and can't turn my neck at all. Dr. Hurkman was able to help me feel better in less than a week, which was amazing for the condition I was in. I've been going in 3 times a week since and will continue to restore my health.

Fantastic experience: Great service, fast, and personable! My husband and I went to Capitol Health Center mostly for improving my posture but I gained so much more out of it! Dr. Hurkman's treatment during my pregnancy has helped me so much. Since COVID happened, I've been working from home, sitting at a computer desk for 8+ hours a day on top of spending my free time playing video games. Being a video gamer, I know had bad forward posture so I was a bit worried it would affect me during my pregnancy but now, I barely had any back pain at all! My husband also gained a lot from his treatments too. Him also being a video gamer like I am, he has improved a lot in his posture and hasn't had upper back pain from slouching any more. My husband used to lift weights for several years and even those old issues from back in the day has improved too. Highly recommended for everyone!

I started getting tendinitis in my bicep/shoulder from overuse and he was able to diagnose it when another chiropractor I saw in FL didn’t even acknowledge my issue.
