Negative experience: If you're white the girl that works here will not acknowledge you or look you in the eye. Long wait times with the person in question not doing anything. Racist foreign people.

Fantastic experience: The food is so so yummy and the staff is so helpful and kind. I love the atmosphere, it is currently my favorite place to study! I recommend their Egg Sandwich, it may be the best thing I have eaten ever in my whole life

Fantastic experience: Lots of different options on the menu from full breakfast, to smoothie / Acai Bowls, and lunch salads. Everything we had was excellent, fresh, and well prepared. We got one of their iced matcha lattes, and it tasted as good as it looked. Tasty avocado toast, and salads which are plentiful, well mixed, fresh, and delicious. Really good fresh and healthy food.

Negative experience: These burritos just get smaller and smaller, don’t they? Paid $4 for extra latkes and the burrito somehow looked smaller than if I didn’t order them. Chiseling

Negative experience: Food is bad quality for quadruple the price of anything of similar value around Columbus. I have watched Alchemy go from decent to horrible both food-wise and service-wise. The food has always been inconsistent and now the service is too. The portions have gotten smaller, and the food more sugary and dirty tasting. All in all, it's disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Food is absolutely amazing. I ate here every day while doing a project in Columbus. 3 power bowls and a farmers burrito. All soooooo good.

Positive experience: I ordered the Farmer's Bowl. I was expecting something flavorful but this was honestly devoid of any flavor. A couple eggs (I ordered mine over easy), atop some scant arugula, cubed beets, avacado, and some latkes. I had to look to see other people's same orders to see if maybe mine was missing a sauce or other component to tie it all together. But it was simply too bland, dry, and way over priced for what it was. The staff were pleasant but the wait was a bit too long.

Negative experience: Service is very slow and there isn't even water available for customers. Even after asking to refill the plastic water jug that is shared for all customers, the staff did not refill until asked multiple times. It would be easily fixed by having a water fountain that can be self serviced. Water is a basic service that can be offered with a very simple fix!

Positive experience: Got takeout. Didn't receive the extras and sides I had ordered, which is about $5 I've wasted. Also means I didn't get to taste the latkes. The power burrito is average, potatoes aren't cooked through, and the balance is off. The smoothie bowl is a little too rich for my taste, but it's good.

Fantastic experience: Natural light with a fresh and vibrant menu that truly delights. My experience was nothing short of excellent, especially with their Cowboy Burrito with bacon—it was the best breakfast burrito I've ever had! The sauce was perfectly balanced in every bite. The sweet potato fries with their dipping sauce, sweet and savory! Their matcha drinks are colorful but sweet, depending on your preference. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are both friendly and helpful. I also appreciate their variety of vegetarian and vegan options, catering to all dietary preferences.

Fantastic experience: The egg sandwich was soooooo good!!! The green monster also is a very solid drink. Layla and Chans were so sweet and made my first time here more enjoyable :) the patio is also so cute. Definitely recommend checking this place out

Negative experience: waited over 20 minutes for a to go salad. watched several to-go customers order and receive food far before mine. really? why wouldn’t you make food in the order the tickets come in? not to mention, the dressing i got was congealed and not liquid. super disappointed in everything here. this was my first time here, and i will not be back.

Our food (smoked salmon club, and a BLT) were the perfect balance of fresh and filling. This restaurant also has many pre-made grab and go options that I cannot wait to try. Fantastic experience: Me and my girlfriend visited this spot and neither of us are vegan, but we found delicious items on the menu and really enjoyed the atmosphere. We visited their spot in Grandview on a peaceful Saturday afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves, I would highly recommend this place for some fresh lunch!

Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would. Do not order from this place! I ordered from them and not only did they forget items that came with my meal but today I had the biggest bug in my turkey sandwich, it was huge and I immediately threw up! They refused to give me a refund because I ordered through DoorDash as of DoorDash made my food with a bug in it. They should’ve refunded my money and dealt with DoorDash on the back in! This is totally unacceptable nor did they try to make the situation with anything else. Terrible customer service!

Negative experience: Decided to try this yesterday and totally regret it. The price for this smoothie was 8.50 and it tasted absolutely like nothing. I could barley taste the peanut butter smh I don't like being negative but it gotta keep it real It was trash.

Fantastic experience: I live in Hilliard and visit Grandview often for food spots. I googled Breakfast Burrito and was not let down by this one. Initially I was confused when I read cashew cream assuming everything else was going to be dairy free or vegan and I was VERY wrong. The barista quickly explained that it was real eggs, real potatoes, real bacon and to top it off the cashew cream was delicious. Add avocado and this might be the perfect breakfast burrito in the area. A good size filling burrito for me and I’ll def be back.

Fantastic experience: I’ve shamelessly come two days in the row for the honey latte…but today I got the vg/gf cinnamon roll pancakes and they were actually amazing!! The service is always great and super quick. 10/10

Negative experience: The food is fine but the service is terrible. Waited 20 minutes for two items when the restaurant was empty. The coffee was cold and hadn't been refilled and the service staff was rude and bored. I wouldn't dine in again simply due the the level of service. If your employees don't want to be here it's creates an atmosphere where the customer doesn't want to either.

Fantastic experience: Alchemy is a great spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The cowboy burrito with portobello subbed in for bacon is extremely flavorful and filling. The eggs are fluffy, hash browns crisp, and sauce and portobellos balance it all out.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I stopped in for breakfast before traveling back home to Michigan. The sandwiches were great! Lots of flavor, made with care and quality ingredients. The atmosphere was nice as well with rad music playing in the background not too loud. I especially enjoyed the rain chain hanging outside of the window. Loved watching the water trickle down on a moody rainy day as we sat by the window. Overall I’d be back without question. Can’t wait for next time!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time ordering from here. I was doing DoorDash, a couple things caught my eye. After I finished my delivery I came back to order the French Toast special, potato kale hash, and Green Monster smoothie. Everything was AMAZING!!! From the friendly to the delicious food!! The portion was good too I definitely had leftovers. I will be returning! The French Toast is vegan and definitely my favorite ❤️

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal service! They were so accommodating. Their food is also delicious! I had the smoked salmon sandwich and I think it was well balanced and really let the salmon shine. Alchemy would be a great place for vegans to take their non-vegan friends and vice versa! They have great options for everyone. I can’t wait to go back to try their smoothie bowls and matcha latte.

Negative experience: I ordered the power bowl with extra chicken. I’m not sure what happened to the quality of their food but it was so gross. The potatoes were bland. Not nearly enough of the toppings like there used to be. The matcha donut was also terrible. I didn’t eat any of it. Mind you I’ve eaten there before maybe a year ago and I remember it being delicious - I’d go a few times a month. The kitchen also didn’t know where their gluten free bread was sourced from. Odd for a place that seems to pride themselves on their ingredients … bummer!

Positive experience: The food is good but the customer service needs improvement. It feels like serving customers is an inconvenience to the employees. The past several visits there are at least four people working but there is a lack of acknowledgement when you walk in the door to order or pick up food even when the restaurant is empty.

Fantastic experience: One of my favorite places to eat in Columbus. i recommend it to everyone i know. I’m obsessed with their strawberry avocado toast to the point where i’ve started trying to make it at home but nothing beats the original.

I ordered for to go and the food came out pretty quick, while I was waiting another customer came and ordered avocado toast and she seemed so excited about it, it must be good! I may order it next time :D This time I got Cowboy Burrito, sweet potatoes fried and London Fog. Everything was awesome! The London Fog is a healthy bubble tea, came with oat milk and house jam. It's. So. Good. Cowboy burrito came with good size of egg, potatoes and bacon, it's big! I can't eat the whole thing by myself :D Too bad, I was so excited and ate everything so quick and forgot to get good pictures. Will definitely dine in next time for brunch! I also want to try the egg sandwich :)))

Negative experience: I'm here now and have been waiting for over 20 minutes for a to go order place 30 minutes ago. There aren't any customer here on a Saturday morning if that tells you anything... The older waiter guy with the beard has an attitude problem it seems. Wasn't very friendly when I walked in, and now I see it's everybody he encounters. Two thumbs down

Negative experience: If your going to charge $4.00 for coffee you can’t run out of coffee and not refill it until people are ready to leave. Also the prices are too high for brunch for what you get.

Fantastic experience: Cherry cheesecake smoothie bowl for the win. Not sure why their almond butter is so good but it's the only one I've ever craved. They also have really good sandwich specials like the beet reuben which sounds gross but is delicious. Each location sometimes has different menu items but it's the same core menu.

Fantastic experience: We stopped by to try the Cold Brew and the Iced Pistachio Matcha drinks. Both were VERY delicious! Atmosphere is very cute with a laid back, clean, and chill vibe. The manager working was extremely friendly and pleasant. She was super welcoming and made our experience more enjoyable. Would definitely come back for drinks and the food we saw ordered by others look very delicious!

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Put bacon in my vegetarian burrito and when I asked for it fixed they said “it’ll be a while.”

Negative experience: My son and I recently visited Alchemy, our 2nd visit of which I thought would be a long relationship. We ordered two cowboy burritos, mine had no bacon (I've been vegetarian for over 20 yrs & haven't eaten pork since I was a teenager) & two drinks. Well 1st of all the meal cost $35!! Being our 2nd trip, I knew the cost (we ordered the same thing). Quick recap: ordered the same thing, vegetarian for over 20 yrs, the stage has been set for my grievance. We picked up our food, went home & began to eat. My wrapping clearly stated, no bacon, so I began to eat cautiously. I took a small 1st bite, the potatoes made me do a double take but they were just potatoes, so I continued to eat. Well after I took my fourth bite I noticed something that looked like meat!! Gasp!!! It was BACON stuffed deep in the middle of my sandwich!!! Well, I quickly packed up that sandwich, took it back to the shop & advised them of their mistake! BTW, I was nauseous and very disgusted by what I had just eaten!! As I told them of their error and explained I was vegetarian & had not eaten pork in forever (all though good customer service skills would have prompted a quick apology once the error was found out, but not here) the girl behind the counter told the guy to make me another sandwich....are you kidding??!!! I promptly stated, "No, do not make another sandwich, I just want my money back". Might I add, I only live around the corner & I had tried to visit the store on two other occasions but they were not open (I say that to say, I WOULD have been a loyal customer!!! PAST TENSE!!!). Back to the subject at hand; I went to the register and advised the man of their error (at that time the girl behind the other counter gave a very last minute insincere, 'oh I am so sorry about that' I replied, "me too!") of which he seemed very unbothered by the fact that I COULD have died or became extremely ill (no pork over 20 + yrs and vegetarian over 20 yrs...well I may be exaggerating about dying but then again maybe not- our bodies change as we get older....but that is another story), I was already nauseous, by their mistake. I asked for my money back for the sandwich, no apology from him still.....moments later, an even more 'I guess I have to say this' type of "apology" was barely uttered from his lips. I quickly left, vowing NEVER to return again, the same for my son!!! Now I hear you thinking, they gave you your money back for the sandwich, yeah- that's what he said he did, but there was NO concern, empathy or even partially good customer service!! If he would have said I am so sorry that happened, I can imagine your anguish...or something remotely resembling an inkling of 'this customer (and every other customer) is valuable' I would be less harsh and more forgiving. He could have also said, " I am sorry for your inconvenience and that this happened, let me comp your meal" I would have been forgiving alllll the way (especially for the empathy) and NEVER written this review AND went back taking my son maybe my mother and friend and so forth!! However, because of their callous attitude and poor customer service I will NEVER go back and I will, at every chance I get be PETTY BETTY (as long as I remember) and throw this company and its employees under the bus, plane, train, elevator and stairs if I can!!! I guess they don't know the age old rule; a person tells 7 to 11 people about one bad experience and with social media....well...there you go- we have hit thousands!!!!! Just for the record, three little facts about me- I will QUICKLY give a compliment (I gave them one on my last visit), I don't have time to do negative reviews (I just won't patronize the company any longer- my taste buds can adjust and so can my purse) so I don't - today is an exception, I loathe bad customer service & I don't play when it comes to my food and pork/meat!!! Well I guess that is four facts about me. Nonetheless, I will NEVER go back & if you are veg- eat w/caution!!! BTW, I'm really giving them -12 stars for their service but since that is not an option, I gave them one.

Fantastic experience: Whether local or visiting, you need to make a stop at Alchemy! I’ve been a customer for years and their staff are amazing people, so friendly and helpful. You can’t go wrong with any smoothie, the hemp hummus pesto sandwich hits the spot every time, and I would give anything to have their peanut stew recipe! 10/10 recommend Alchemy for any meal. I have also participated in their prepared meal service, and I was blown away. You can filter by dietary restriction and everything is so fresh and perfectly portioned out. They offer local delivery or pickup for the weekly meals, and you do not have to sign up for a service - you get to go onto the website and hand-pick which meals and how many you want! Thanks Alchemy for making Columbus a better place.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic! I have been meaning to come here for a while. Even though it is out of the way for me I will be making a point to come back. I ordered the Good Green Salad and the Peanut Butter Power smoothie. The salad was large and filling. I ordered the smoothie thinking the salad would not be enough. I was wrong. Not only a big portion but delicious as well. The smoothie was very good too! Both the salad and the smoothie had an additional depth of flavor I was not expecting. Well done!

Fantastic experience: I ate a delicious breakfast recently [3-28-2022] at Alchemy Kitchen. I am usually in the "Fifth by Northwest" neighborhood only during the afternoon or evening; it had been great to be able to eat breakfast at Alchemy Kitchen, immediately after I had mailed my 2021 income tax forms during the early morning at the 43212 post office, before returning home so that I would be able to attend a 12:00 noon webinar. I had studied the Alchemy Kitchen menu on-line in advance of my arrival; I had previously "cut-and-pasted" the text of my menu choices from that menu to the display of my smartphone. I was therefore able to display my menu choices to the server -- rather than speak my menu choices out loud -- while standing at the ordering counter. Below are the food choices that I had made that morning. • BREAKFAST: Power Bowl [ancient grains, hemp walnut pesto, kalebouli, tri potato kale hash, hummus, feta, kraut, hazelnuts, microgreens] • TOAST: Peanut Butter and Jelly [peanut butter, seasonal house jam, granola, whole wheat] I paid for my food at the ordering counter and then sat down at a long wooden table in the middle of the dining room. Water and eating utensils had been available on a small table near the south wall of the dining room. Two different employees asked me how I had learned about Alchemy Kitchen. I told both of them that I am a "Google Maps Local Guide" and that I had carefully studied the area near the intersection of W. Fifth Ave. and Grandview Ave. -- looking for "new restaurants" [or, more specifically, "new-to-me restaurants" that would be open that early] -- before planning my trip to that neighborhood. The Power Bowl and the Peanut Butter and Jelly had been delicious. I had felt a surge of energy for a while after I had eaten the Power Bowl; the whole wheat toast that had been used when making the Peanut Butter and Jelly had been quite solid and had not bent at all while I had been eating it. Many -- but not all -- of the items on the Alchemy Kitchen menu are vegan or vegetarian. They have three different menus: Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch. They are open only between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and are one of the few restaurants in that neighborhood that are open that early in the morning. I strongly recommend Alchemy Kitchen for a delicious breakfast or lunch.

Fantastic experience: Love their waffle fries and chunky monkey bowl! They have the best sweet potato fries anywhere. It’s my go to “healthy” comfort foods :)

Negative experience: I was going to place my usual order this morning, but everything was suddenly an extra $5. The little egg sandwich that used to be $7 (which was already slightly expensive for what you get) is now $12, and the $12 power burrito (again, already a little pricey) was now $16! I just can’t see how you can justify charging that much for this food. It’s tasty, yes, but totally not worth it at these prices, sorry. Unfortunately, I ended up canceling out my order and going somewhere else this morning. Note: used your own website to order, not Uber.

Fantastic experience: Great little spot for healthier fare! Service was quick and friendly. Food was tasty. I enjoyed the farmers bowl and the green monster smoothie. Got a power bowl, too, for later! Can't wait to eat it.

Negative experience: Sorry, but the smoked salmon plate is inedible. What are you thinking? A frisbee-sized wad of crème fresh with raw carrot, strawberry, pickled corn, and four small pieces of smoked salmon. Why would you serve that? Yuck!! To top it off, the sourdough tasted of burned oil, and the service was glacially slow.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been coming here for breakfast for years. We got to try their debut of the new brunch menu today and it was fantastic! I had the tostadas which were very filling, and I was blown away by how good the vegan chorizo was. My husband got the Farmers Bowl which was just as delicious. We also got to meet the owner who was so kind and nice to talk to!

Fantastic experience: Went here with my kids today and it was a hit! We loved the avocado toast and smoothie. The food was fresh, high quality and delicious. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was stylish and modern. I didn’t see any high chairs, but I didn’t mind feeding my baby on my lap. My 5 year loved it and wants to return!

Positive experience: The lost burrito! Once upon a time, This place had the best burrito in town- the chicken mole burrito. The best part was that it was healthier and tastier than all other burritos. The chips and verde salsa were an incredible pairing with the little swaddled medley of perfection. Lunch was guilt free in times past. Now the shame and sleepies leftover from a mid day burger & fry combo are all I have left... Oh yes it’s delicious but there seems to be a growing disconnect from their healthy roots and the next hole in my belt. TLDR; I’m just salty about the discontinuation of the Mole Burrito/chips and salsa

Fantastic experience: I work as an ICU nurse so with COVID I've had some crazy hours. Not having time or energy to prepare healthy meals has been a really big issue the last little while as my body has been feeling the impact of terrible dieting and long hours. Alchemy has been a life saver these last few days, it's one of the only restaurants I feel is truly healthy and not just labeling itself as such. I love their smoothies and smoothie bowls and their iced oat milk latte is smooth and delicious. I love having this fast, affordable option for healthy eating, it makes me feel so much better!

Fantastic experience: I had lunch here today with my husband and two year old son. The attention to detail at this restaurant is obvious, from the decor to the menu and even the packaging. I had the Harvest Salad with turkey, my husband tried the BLT and our toddler had a super food donut. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, and you feel great knowing it's as healthy as it is delicious. We will definitely be coming back (if not tomorrow or later this week) to try a smoothie bowl!

Positive experience: A decent study spot as well as a good pre/post workout pit stop. Their tables are kinda small, so not good for spreading out, but the inside is well lit and there are tables with outlets so your laptop won't die. I got their cherry cheesecake smoothie bowl and it was soooo good although overall their menu is a but pricey. They also have normal smoothies not in bowls, toast and sandwiches. It's definitely catered toward people who are trying to eat healthy. It kinda gives off a Whole30 vibe or insta worthy west coast vibe. VG, V and GF friendly. The time when they switch from their breakfast to lunch menu was not clear so my friend and I got falsely excited twice.

It is a great place to have chats and conversations with your loved one, your friends, or your colleagues, while enjoying a smoothie bowl or a salad, or simply just smoothies. They have a variety of smoothie options, and they all look fantastic. I got the dragon fruit smoothie, and it was absolutely delicious. The people who work there were extremely nice and gave us free samples of avocado puddings.
