Negative experience: As of OCTOBER 14, 2024 they are no longer accepting new patients and won't be for at least 3 months out. I asked for a referral and was told they don't know anyone they can refer to. Idk. Good luck!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about Jennifer at Healing spaces. She listens, understands, and always provides me with the information I need to help me help myself. In addition, her knowledge about how to best supplement my body with the appropriate hormone(s) as I navigate the bumpy waters of perimenopause has been life-changing. Negative experience: As a mother navigating the challenges of raising a child with a complex and chronic illness, I had hoped to find a supportive environment that could provide answers to the underlying causes. However, my initial experience was far from reassuring. Upon calling to inquire about Dr. Mitchell's availability for new patients, I was abruptly informed that she wasn't accepting new patients due to a lengthy waiting list of 200 individuals ahead of me. Seeking further information, I inquired about alternative practitioners and the expected wait time with such a long queue. Unfortunately, the person on the other end of the line seemed disinterested in providing clarity or assistance. Despite my efforts to convey the urgency of my daughter's situation and seek reassurance about the quality of care at the Healing Space, I was met with reluctance to engage and a lack of effort to address my concerns. This interaction left me feeling discouraged and skeptical about the glowing reviews of the Healing Space. If the initial point of contact exhibited such indifference and failed to convey empathy or professionalism, it cast doubt on the overall compassion and competence of the team. Disheartened by this experience, I am left uncertain about entrusting my daughter's care to this facility.

She is helping me work towards my goals in a reasonable, realistic way! I thank God I've found her and know with her suport I'll reach my goals to optimal health.

Fantastic experience: If I could give HealingSpace more than 5 stars I would. I came to HealingSpace at the end of may Freshman year of college at an all time low. I had been experiencing severe digestion issues and intense anxiety all year. I was looking for someone who was going to look at my mind and body as a whole and assess the situation from there. So many of our issues are affected by our minds, hormones and bodies all at once. I didn't want a prescription for the side effects, I wanted to find the root cause to my issue and address that. Ida understood this and approaches her patients problems with this mindset. She prescribed me a liver detox and gave me other ways to help lower my anxiety. I also had a couple energy healing sessions with Jill. I loved this approach because it gave me a tangible way to address my problems (the detox) but also recognized my brain was a huge source of my issues and helped me learn how to manage that. From thereI have used Ida as somewhat of a primary care physician. I had various other issues throughout the years that Ida caught early on. When she finds a problem, she looks at the body and a whole and asks "what underlying things could be causing this", such as hormone imbalances or vitamin deficiencies. She looks to fix the root of the problem, not the side effects. She has also doubled as somewhat of a therapist for me, as her positive mindset and listening skills helped me get through a lot. Overall HealingSpace is by far the best thing I have ever decided to become a part of. They have a unique and refreshing approach that looks at all aspects of the body, while caring deeply for their patients. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who is looking to truly address and resolve their issues, no matter what their age. I came to the practice when I was 19 years old and feel I have set my life course in a happy and healthy direction because of it.

Fantastic experience: Ida found the root of the problem in TWO visits! I had previously seen 6 doctors who continued to pass me along or prescribe medication for my symptoms. Ida took the time to listen to my symptoms and found out the reason behind them. She came up with a treatment plan, and most important of all has given me hope. My only regret is not finding her sooner. Ida is a true blessing!!

Negative experience: I had always heard amazing things about this clinic and I am a firm believer in naturopathic medicine. I was so excited to begin really putting myself and my health first, and I was excited to embark on a new healing journey at Healing Space. Unfortunately, I truly did not have a great experience at all. I saw Ida, one of the nurse practitioners, because Dr. Mitchell was booked for so long at my time of booking. From the first moment I walked in I was extremely taken back of the lack of welcome I got from the woman at the front desk. She was cold, and honestly kind of rude. I thought maybe she was just having an off day, but every time I came back she was like that with me and pretty much everyone else. My first regret was not just waiting for Dr. Mitchell to have spots open up, because I have heard fabulous things about her, so I cannot speak on behalf of her, but I can on Ida. I came in due to hormonal issues, gut issues, anxiety problems, and food intolerances. Ida, in my opinion, was judge mental, pushy, and lacked empathy. As soon as I mentioned anxiety and depression, I started getting teary eyed. She flat out told me I need to get my head fixed before she can fix the rest. It took everything in me not to bawl my eyes out. I was just coming out of a very difficult time in my life and was looking forward to starting to take initiative of my own health and when she said that, I couldn’t believe it. She asked about diet, and I knew that was one of my biggest struggles, and she was so judgmental when I talked about what I was eating. Obviously I knew I wasn’t eating the best, I was the first person to admit that, but I wasn’t looking for judgement, I was so willing to change my habits. She also quickly recommended the book, “Girl Wash Your Hands” to me to read. I told her that I had read it and I did find it to be tone deaf, just wasn’t my cup of tea and she might as well have rolled her eyes at me. Everyone can totally have their own opinions, but I just don’t believe out of all books that should be the book that is pushed at a Naturopaths clinic. In my follow up appointment I was literally in and out in 20 minutes. She made me feel like I was wasting her time, it was heartbreaking to me. She gave me a few supplements and I was on my way. No follow up, no nothing. I will never ever recommend Ida to anyone. I have never taken the time to right a negative review about anything, but I think people should know what to expect when working with her. To be honest, my experience with her really turned me away from the natural route for quite sometime. I was nervous to go back to another clinic in fear of being judged and pushed aside. Thankfully, I have found a truly empathic and amazing human being to help me on my healing journey, but Ida was not that person. If you are going to go to this clinic, wait until Dr. Mitchell has openings. Ida is not with your time or money.

Dr Mitchell spends the time to really listen to your concerns and review your health. She is very reassuring and supportive, and I so appreciate her vast knowledge of women's health. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Jill and energy healings. The 2x I have had them with her I noticed a lot. I had some detox symptoms of emotions, I didn’t believe this until it happened. Negative experience: Three visits and each one worse than the last. I was so hopeful and excited to find this office after suffering with autoimmune issues for over a decade. After seeing countless doctors over the last 12 years, I really believed I found a place that could help me. It's not easy for someone with chronic health issues to be open to trying a new doctor. So many failed attempts and hundreds of hours of appointments and tests leave you feeling jaded and depressed. It wasn't easy for me to come in because of it. 3 appointments, 3 chances to get it right and all I did was waste time. Had to follow up and ask for my rx to be called in because it never was like it was supposed to. Had to call about a blood draw 5 TIMES before getting a call back. Finally had the blood draw only for them to test the blood for the wrong things. Absolutely mind blowing how unorganized and unpleasant this experience was.

Fantastic experience: I just finished the liver detox and gut redo with Healing Space and cannot recommend it highly enough. It far exceeded any detox or cleanse I've tried before-- from the ease of the plan to the delicious taste to the expert guidance from Dr. Mitchell. Fantastic experience: Because of all the great reviews, I have been really wanting to change to this practice. I have an appointment scheduled for thermography and am looking forward to that. However, I called today to get an appointment for a thyroid checkup I need to have done in 8 weeks. I just had labs done and had my medication changed by another doctor, but I'm wanting to switch to this practice for thyroid health as well, and wanted my next visit to be at HealingSpace. The woman who answered the phone told me she couldn't schedule anyone until mid January because some practitioners were out. I told her that was perfect as that put me at about 8 weeks. She then responded in a frustrated, snippy, and condescending way that I would need to call back in a few days because she had too many calls to make to reschedule other patients. It came across as if I was imposing on her time and how dare I try to schedule an appointment when she was so busy trying to reschedule so many people. What happened to customer service and the kind and caring attitude described in the reviews? I'll give it another try based on all the positive reviews and hopefully catch her or someone else in a better mood. If my experience improves, I'll post an update. 6/24 - I'm updating my review because I have been going here for awhile now and my experiences have been wonderful. I've worked with Ida and Jen and both are kind, caring, and attentive. I've found the current front desk staff to be courteous and helpful. I'd highly recommend this practice!

Negative experience: I made an appointment 4 months ago to see Dr. Felty. The office sent me to see Dr. Mitchell even though I made an appointment with Dr. Felty. They charged me $480 for a visit with the wrong Dr. A visit with Dr. Felty is $250. Terrible customer service. At least Dr. Felty was kind enough to call me back concerned about this issue. I am still waiting for Dr. Mitchell to give me my money back. I made the appointment with Dr. Felty, they put me with the wrong doctor and I realized about that when Dr. Mitchell started talking about me taking ibuprofen. I went to see a natural holistic doctor not an OBGYN that also claims to be holistic and more natural but she still recommends taking ibuprofen...interesting..

Fantastic experience: We first met Dr. Mitchell when she performed surgery on my wife in 1995. 22 years later we crossed paths again thru a friend. We learned thru our friend that Dr Mitchell, a traditional medical Dr. was practicing alternative medicine, including energy healing. We returned to her for treatment of my wife. She has been a wonderful source of healing, comfort, and advice. While she generally doesn’t treat men she did help me with alternative solutions to controlling my high cholesterol. We highly recommend Dr. Mitchell to anyone open to learning about alternative medicine from an accredited physician and surgeon.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough nice things about Healing Space! First of all, when you walk in the door it feels more like a spa than a doctor's office - the warm lighting, the essential oil scents, the soft music playing in the background. The atmosphere really helps to put you at ease. And everyone in the office is so friendly and kind. I never feel rushed through my appointments which is very different from most doctor's offices. You can really tell that your health and well being is of the utmost importance to everyone in the office. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mitchell and her team to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I didn’t realize I was diabetic. Dawn, who is a nutritionist there, explained to me what I needed to do. First, a simple blood test. Then when she got the results. She explained what I needed to do and helped me get started. I was put on a plan of what to eat and not eat. I also was put on a supplement plan of great supplements, not Walmart supplements either. I couldn’t believe the results in a short time. Seriously, I’m sure this probably saved my life !! Fantastic experience: I found what I had been searching for when I found Dr. Mitchell and her amazing staff. I was so tired of doctors throwing pills at me. I wanted to take more control of my health and that's what Healing Space is about. Dr. Mitchell spent an hour with me at our first visit. She cares about your health goals and works with you to reach them. I have also participated in some of the workshops she offers and have learned so much. Everyone in her office is kind and caring. Fantastic experience: HealingSpace is an amazing place! I had a healing session with Jill, which helped me enormously. Kelly made me feel so comfortable when she was conducting my thermography. The receptionist and phlebotomist are so helpful and accommodating. And best of all, Dr.Mitchell provided me with so many answers to my health concerns. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate. I would highly recommend HealingSpace!

Fantastic experience: Dr Mitchell is an OBGYN by training (and practice) who now uses a holistic approach to medical treatment focused on women who are no longer bearing children and are a little older. She has been a life saver for me since I had a full hysterectomy seven years ago. I don't think I could function physically (or mentally) without her medical oversight and guidance which includes hormone replacement, vitamins, meditation and exercise. A ridiculously sound approach!!!

Fantastic experience: I was a mess before I met Dr. Marilyn Mitchell.... I was going thru menopause!! Enough said. Meeting Dr. Mitchell and the staff put me at ease the second I walked in. I have been seeing the Dr. for over a year and I feel like a million bucks. Not only her intelligence but her bed side manner is ridiculous.....
