Negative experience: My massage therapists and accupuncturists have all been amazing and I wish them luck and a less sketchy company to work for. The poor customer service along with more upcharges that weren’t effectively communicated have led to me discontinuing my membership. But of course, they’re taking a long time to cancel, because they’re all about the money, even though I specifically asked and was told I could cancel at any time. I’m now being told it’s a 30-day notice. Funny enough, for a women’s health place, they sure don’t care if their front desk staff has attitude or if their phone customer service folks are rude.

Negative experience: All, first I want to say that I love the nursing staff here. They are the best and the experience is amazing! My negative review here is in the new pricing. I’ve been a member of Nava for over 3 years and it was awesome to be able to get 2 IVs a month with your credits. But now you have to pay 150 dollars on top of paying for the membership each month. That makes no sense to me! You can go around town to numerous IV Drip places and get the same ingredients for 100-150 dollars without paying a membership. Plus they are also charging your insurance for doctors visits. Starting to sound like a scam to me, so unfortunately for as long as I’ve been a member I am canceling my membership today. For all of you that continue, good luck!

Fantastic experience: My experience with the Fairfax Nava Health office has been amazing. I have always desired a Health facility like this one to look at my total health with several options. All of the esthetics nurses, doctors, administrators, dieticians, health coaches have been knowledgeable and assisted me beyond expectations. However yesterday I had my first Acupuncture service. Negative experience: This company refuses to send my wife’s prescription to our pharmacy. It’s been a week and she needs the medicine to help with her hot flashes. They are scam and want us to buy the medicine through them so we don’t use our insurance. This place is horrible!!!

Negative experience: Great for IV's and wellness treatments but be VERY careful about using them for HRT. The practice is disorganized and the call center can't help you. I was told I needed bloodwork in order to refill my thyroid medication. I went into the office for the bloodwork, checked out with them and then when the bloodwork came back normal and I called the office to refill the medication. It was only at that time that they told me I needed to make an appointment with the practitioner before refilling the medication and they can't see me for a week and a half. It's very dangerous to suddenly stop taking thyroid medication so now I'm not sure what to do as the call center didn't have any workaround and there's no way of reaching someone in the office. Terrible medical treatment - especially for the huge amount of money you pay. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: TMJ, sleep, digestive issues, and headaches - GONE! I have been seeking someone to help find holistic alternatives for all that I’ve listed above (and more to explore). Angel has been helping me and is amazing! She studied her craft in China and has been practicing for 15 years and is super knowledgeable. She pays attention to your body and gut health to give you treatment that you actually need and adjusts her treatment every visit to your healing journey. She also helped give tips on what to do outside of her treatments to help me feel better, as a whole. I can’t recommend her and her approach to acupuncture enough. If you’ve looking for something to bring you back to balance - go see her and feel better.

Negative experience: UPDATE: It has been 3 weeks and I still haven't received the promised 200mg of progesterone. Just wow. If I could, I would give zero stars. Let me start by saying that you if follow a "Members Only" model(with membership fees) and pretend to be a concierge practice , then I would expect that level of service. I've been using NAVA since July 2022 and have had countless issues ranging from scheduling to billing to back-office miscommunication. But what happened last week was the pinnacle of poor client service and incompetence. I had HRT pellets done on 8/26 and afterwards my card was immediately charged for my progesterone refill prescription. I knew my annual membership fee was due pretty soon, so I asked the front desk if it was time for my renewal. (Nevermind that being a "member's only" operation is absurd given the already outrageous costs of the services provided). I was told that my renewal payment wouldn't be due until January, so I left the office. About 10 days passed. I was completely out of progesterone and I still hadn't received my refill, so I called the office and left a message on the "prescription refill" line. Two days later I get a call back saying that my prescription was not sent to the Hallandale pharmacy for a refill. This was because it could not be processed due to my membership having expired. My head exploded when I heard this(because I was out of progesterone) and I asked to speak to a manager. Two days passed, with me consistently calling, before I was able to speak with one. When I finally spoke to the manager in the FFX office and explained what had happened, she wasn't in the least concerned about the fact that I was now without progesterone for two weeks(though I already paid for it). She merely stated that the front desk gave me incorrect information about when my membership fee was due. I was upset enough on the phone that she agreed to send the correct prescription for processing and said that I would need to pay my membership before any other services could be rendered. I told her I would pay when I came in for my next visit. A week later, I finally receive the package from Hallandale. It was the WRONG prescription...100mg instead of the 200mg that I've been taking for 2 years. At this point I was livid and called back again to speak to the manager. After I explained what had happened this time around, I was expecting some sort of explanation as to how this level of incompetence occurred(once with the front desk people and this time with an actual doctor writing an incorrect script). I didn't get one. Nor was there any interest in the fact that I was STILL without progesterone. The best she could do was refund my money and order the correct prescription. There was no accountability taken for what had happened, so I insisted on speaking with a regional manager. It was two more days before I was able to speak with someone. By this point I was completely void of all patience with this inane situation and I was very angry. Once again, no accountability or explanation as to why this happened was given. She said the only resolution she would offer was to refund my original payment, but that I would have to pay for the new, correct prescription. Since the FFX office manager told me that I would not be charged for EITHER prescription, I was beyond furious. She seemed appalled that I would even suggest such a thing as not paying for either, and she called the FFX manager to confirm. By the time she took me off hold to validate what I had said, I was FUMING. I took this opportunity to air all the grievances that I have had with NAVA over the years...highlighting that they were a only a money-grubbing operation with no genuine interest patient's health. Not liking what I was saying about the mismanagement and exorbitant costs of this operation, she cancelled all my upcoming appointments and prohibited me from returning to NAVA. Heed my advice and avoid this outfit. They take every opportunity to rob you of money. Your health is definitely not a priority.

Negative experience: This place is a scam. I reached out on their website. They called me and schedule 4-5 visits and took my credit card information. They said they have a 24hr cancellation policy. A week later I receive an automated message that my appointment has been moved and a reminder that I'll be charge if cancel within 24 hours. They texted me to change my appt without the option to text back. I'm a busy person. I called them and the wait time was 18 min. I emailed them asking to cancel all appointments. Someone called me and said that they would cancel my appointments but then I just received another appt confirmation. Terrible scheduling experience and usually if that's the way they operate, then I'd expect the quality of care to be equally terrible. It's not a good feeling to know that someone has my credit card information and is going to charge me for appointments that I've already requested to cancel.

Fantastic experience: The front desk team has been super helpful and supportive (Juan and Jordan). Fantastic experience: Angel si the acupuncturist at Nava Fairfax and she is outstanding and knowledgeable. After my first session she solved my pain problem on my right arm, which kept waking me up at night. Now she’s treating my digestion which she immediately spot it with out me saying so. I’m so happy I found her It helps too that all the front staff is really nice :)

Negative experience: They will find any way to make money and charge your card. Charging someone’s card because it's been less than 24 hours and they couldn't make it to their BLOOD WORK is ridiculous. I have never been charged by any other practice, when it comes to that. I understand if they had back to back patients and I was meeting with a provider but I highly doubt that they have so many patients waiting to be seen. It's an integratative practice that's making loads of money. I wasn't even supposed to be meeting with a provider.. The representative I spoke to was a lady. She was completely not understanding and kept questioning, so you don't know when you want to reschedule? She kept saying, “Ok.. Hmm.” instead of just saying I completely understand and whenever you're able to, we’re glad to see you. Her tone was completely off and questioning. She has no idea what's going on in someone’s life or what they're going through. No empathy or compassion in this world these days. Everything is all money and greed. Thanks for taking my free $25. The business reply will most likely be defensive. Also looking at the other negative recent reviews, you can tell this practice is an obvious scam/pyramid scheme, charging people’s cards for no reason and patient care is not their top priority. Their supplements don't actually work but harm in the long run. I wished I read those reviews before I gave them my credit card info. Taking advantage of people’s health and taking their money for no reason will land them to lose their practice.

Negative experience: I started my time at Nava feeling like I had finally found a doctor with both functional/alternative medicine experience and traditional medical credentials. They ran comprehensive tests to gauge food sensitivities, hormone levels, A1C, etc., and prescribed me some supplements, vitamins, and diet alterations for gluten and dairy. Myself and a few other friends with chronic health struggles started around the same time, all with excitement and optimism about finally being listened to. I felt slightly better after taking some more B12, D3, and liver/adrenal support. And then the doctors and nutritionists who had helped us started leaving Nava, and we started getting shuffled between new people with very different and more disappointing “care strategies”. Each of us started arriving at appointments to find that new doctors and nutritionists had not read our files, showed up late, and were immediately recommending new supplements and costly treatments without having even asked about our progress, how we were feeling, or read the forms we spent time filling out and updating. The past several appointments I’ve had, the doctor I’ve talked to didn’t even know what supplements I was taking. Over the past year, quality of care and attentiveness to patient progress has rapidly declined, while the amount of things they try to sell you has increased. One of my friends who is a patient was told after a 2-hour drive that the scan she’d been scheduled for months in advance “was’t available” with no warning ahead of time. Both of us have had Nava doctors recommend medications that we had already tried earlier in the program, and that that *same* doctor had taken us off of previously, apparently not remembering OR checking our files . Both of us have also been told certain lab numbers are healthy one visit, then on another those same numbers are “crisis level” and require immediate, you guessed it, expensive treatments and supplements from Nava. Also, when you call to request support or reschedule an appointment or dispute an incorrect charge, it is very common to show up in person and find that nothing you requested on the phone was reflected. This has happened to me multiple times, where I’ve called to reschedule an appointment and waited 30 minutes for the person to figure out how to make that change, then a month later I’d get an appointment confirmation for that same appointment. It truly started out great, but over the past year the care has gotten liminal at best, the logistics and scheduling are a disaster, and it’s feeling more and more like a pyramid scheme.

Fantastic experience: This review is solely for the acupuncture services that are part of the membership. I have been seeing Angel for a few months now. She is wonderful and makes the acupuncture experience less intimidating. I like how she thoroughly explains her techniques, communicating what she is doing before and during. The open communication helps me relax as the needles are placed. She has helped with my digestion, decreased my hip tightness and increased my overall circulation. The best part is the overall increase in how relaxed my body (and mind) feel after my appointment. Angel also offers at home suggestions, almost like homework that are helpful and easy to accomplish.

Negative experience: The initial 3 appts were very thorough and the blood work was extensive. I felt like I received a lot of info. I was willing to continue with the membership and follow up visits until it was very hard to reach someone for questions/concerns. I would think if a person is to spend a monthly membership on top of the fees for each appt, that it would be like a concierge medical practice but this is not the case. They have a service to answer calls/ portal messages but to get an answer to a medical question takes over 24hrs. When I was able to talk to a “health coach” they did not instill confidence for me as a patient. I never had this issue with my PCP’s in the past and feel like patient care is not top priority for NAVA. Ultimately, I am seeking care elsewhere where I have more access to answers to my questions about my health.

Fantastic experience: I go to Nava Health for acupuncture treatments with Julie. She is a very caring, knowledgeable doctor of Chinese medicine, and performs a brief assessment each visit to decide how to help me. The staff at the facility is also very friendly and helpful. The facility itself is very attractive, and clean. I highly recommend Nava Health for acupuncture treatment.

Fantastic experience: Nava Health and Vitality Center is a real gift to the DC area. They were way ahead of the curve in their "East meets West" approach offering traditional medicine and alternative medicine like acupuncture, massage and more all in a clean, classy and attractive setting. It really does feel like you're in an upscale spa in Sweden. I've been a full member of Nava since the company began and regularly get massage therapy. I've worked almost exclusively with Andi and she's the best massage therapist I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Andi is an experienced pro and has helped me work out various aches and pains over a long period of time. Look no further than Nava for nearly any type of health and wellness needs.

Positive experience: I am giving a 3 because the one young male nutritionist I saw was super friendly. However, I discovered Nava when doing a Google search on Fibromyalgia relief. It still happens today if you google Fibromyalgia, Nava is the first thing that comes up saying “Fibromyalgia treatments”. But I had a virtual appointment with a gentleman and someone in training, who ended up telling me that they do not really treat Fibromyalgia. So the whole Google search thing kinda seems like “click bait”- taking advantage of people who are unwell and need help. And that’s not cool.

Maria is a fabulous receptionist, very informative and helpful in a timely manner. Looking forward to continuing this journey. Update: Almost 6 months of services and I couldn’t be more pleased. Each staff person from front desk to service providers are amazing, respectful and knowledgeable. I’m also finding billing services are well organised and work almost seamlessly with my insurance. Fantastic experience: Jennifer is amazing. My husband and I have been working with her for about a year now. She is attentive and answers our questions thoroughly. We especially appreciate that she has figured out how to insert testosterone pellets with minimal bruising. I am about 110lbs and my husband is pure muscle, so that is a difficult task!! I highly recommend working with her and the nava team in Fairfax for horomone replacement.

Fantastic experience: Finding Nava Health and working with their staff and the team of Drs has truly changed my life and health in every way! After years of being told I wasn’t sick and it was all in my head, the doctors at Nava Health really took the time to listen and evaluate me! I was diagnosed with an auto immune disorder and put on the right combination of thyroid medication and regular wellness IV treatments! My health rapidly improved and after working with their nutritionist and following their program I’ve lost 50+ pounds! More importantly I feel better than I have in years! Fantastic experience: I love Nava Health. Here is what I was dealing with before: While my first OB-GYN wanted to put me on birth control, and the second wanted to put me on HRT and follow up in 1 year… I just wasn’t comfortable with any of the side effects… the fertility specialist said an egg donor is my best bet & to come back when my fiancé and I are actively trying to start a family (as opposed to being proactive with my health). But again, I’m loving Nava Health. Colleen is my first ever nutritionist, and she is working with me to fill in the steep nutrient gaps in my body. She gives me recipes and so many recommendations! I’ve also tried the IV-Therapy, Vitamin D in injections AND acupuncture. First time trying all of these. My energy is up, my sleep quality is improving, I’m making better health decisions all around. I truly found Nava Health at the right time. I have follow up lab work scheduled for next month and look forward to seeing how my levels improve! Know that Nava Health is a membership program but they make it worth it. Investing in your health with compassionate providers is always worth it!
