An integrative family medicine practice focusing on natural, sustainable, and root cause approaches to health.

Our comment from Nutrifinder.net about Wiseman Family Practice - Cedar Park:

Wiseman Family Practice in Cedar Park is dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare through an integrative approach that combines traditional and holistic methods. Patients have praised the practice for its attentive and caring staff, who take the time to truly listen to their concerns and address the root causes of health issues rather than just prescribing medications. Many have particularly highlighted their positive experiences with practitioners like Justine, Sherry Fulmer, and Kimberly Labinsky, who are noted for their thoroughness and kind bedside manner.

Here are some key points highlighted by patients:

  • Personalized Care: Patients feel heard and valued, experiencing an in-depth approach to their health and wellness.
  • Telehealth Options: The practice offers telehealth appointments for convenience, allowing for accessibility without compromising care.
  • Holistic Focus: The team emphasizes wellness through lifestyle changes, nutrition, and preventive care.
  • Friendly Environment: The staff is frequently described as courteous and professional, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

However, the practice has faced challenges regarding communication and customer service, particularly with the administration and appointment scheduling processes. Some patients expressed frustration with long wait times for callbacks and difficulties in reaching staff directly by phone, especially during urgent situations. Additionally, a few reviews mentioned issues with billing and administrative confusion that detracted from otherwise positive interactions.

Overall, Wiseman Family Practice is highly recommended for those seeking a caring and holistic healthcare experience, though prospective patients should be aware of potential administrative hurdles.

Nutrifinder.net cannot guarantee that the professionals and companies listed in the directory have adequate training or health certifications. Most of the companies that appear in the directory are nutritionists and dieticians, but there are also other types of professionals related to the nutrition sector. We recommend that you request the membership number of the professional you are going to attend to perform your treatment or consent.

Fantastic experience: I see Justine as my primary care provider, she easily the best medical professional I've worked with. Supportive in overall health from a big picture, and addressing specific issues through a variety of methods, always taking into account my concerns and questions. Support between appointments for refills and quick questions about my meds through the messaging portal have always been stellar as well.

Fantastic experience: I'm a new patient and was pleased with my experience. The Doctor and staff were courteous and professional. They're interested in treating the root cause of issues rather than straight to medication.

Fantastic experience: I have been very happy with the medical care I have received at Wiseman Family practice. I do not feel rushed during appointments and I love the option of telehealth appointments for follow up.

Positive experience: I have been very happy with this practice. My FNP is great (Audry Wand), very knowledgable and has a great bedside manner. The office staff is very polite and the office is always clean. I love the access to telehealth for quick appointment needs. I only wish I had access to or a reminder for my future lab orders so that I know when I need to get my blood drawn and any special instructions (fasting, etc.), something similar to an appointment reminder.

Fantastic experience: So thankful for Wiseman Family Practice. I currently see Kimberly, she is very personable and she pays attention to what I tell her, she listens. The Cedar Park location is very close to my house and makes an in person visit easy, it doesn't take all day having to drive to get to and from my appointment. I'm happy with Telemed appointments as well. I have been going to Wiseman Family Practice for many years. The staff is very nice.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Wiseman Family Practice. I have been a patient for many years. Narine had a great suggestion for one of my health concerns. It made a difference in my life and would trust her and the care team to take care of my family. The office team is pleasant. Also, their operational process makes it easy to schedule and communicate with providers.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Wiseman Family Practice in Cedar Park! Everyone is friendly and helpful. I especially want to mention Sherry Fulmer, FNP-C as my PCP; she is an advocate for me, great listener, and I feel I'm being cared for very well. Highly recommend! I also see Jennifer Seay, LAc for acupuncture here and I really enjoy seeing her whenever I can. Love that Wiseman Family Practice has such a wide array of natural health and medical information!

Negative experience: This used to be a good family practice. I'm sad to say it no longer is even good. You cannot reach anyone over the phone. The follow up that should happen, does not. I had a severe uti that went untreated because of this. After that I have had many other bad experiences and I'm done. Don't expect to ever be able to see a doctor or speak to anyone on the phone. It's sad, but today was my last visit after being with this practice for decades. Today I've been waiting 2 hours to get my son's strep prescription sent to the pharmacy, and he's feeling miserable. How sad.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this facility for over 9 years. You can’t talk to anyone. They are either severely understaffed or taking in way too many patients for the workload. You can basically only leave a voice message or a message in the portal. It’ll take a day or two or three for a response. You better answer your phone when it’s convenient for them to call, if you miss it you’ll be waiting another day or two. I even called back 2 minutes after they left a voicemail and had to leave yet another message and wait. I’ve never had a pressing issue so I’d patiently wait the 3-5 days it took for a referral request to be even looked at. Now that I am on week three of feeling ill and having abnormal labs come back it’s still not being triaged. I’m just a paycheck to them. There is no communication between the doctors, the portal and voice messages. I left a note 4 days before a person returned my call didn’t even know I spoke with the doctor already. I’ve already scheduled an appointment with another provider since this facility can’t seem to get it together and treat anything with any sense of urgency.

Negative experience: Not a fan of the policies and procedures of this clinic. You cannot speak to anyone on the phone...I guess they can't be bothered to actually talk to their patients. I've left 2 messages on the patient portal, their only form of communication, stating the urgency of my situation and asking to be contacted asap, but no replies from either message after 4-5 days since my first message to them. I'll be changing providers very soon.

Fantastic experience: After going to another doctors office for a few years, we were fed up with the poor judgement of diagnosis and treatments offered. Wiseman is great for my family which has two young kids. They give more in depth answers, and wiseman has been focusing on my kids entire well being without a dependency on medication.

Fantastic experience: I am very impressed with what I have seen so far at this practice. Even from my first appt. I didn’t feel rushed and I felt heard. Justine, who is an amazing nurse practitioner, has helped me so much already. I have already referred this practice and nurse practitioner to multiple friends.

Fantastic experience: Sherry Fulmer and the Wiseman team have been amazing in helping me navigate through my health journey. Sherry genuinely cares and has always gone above and beyond for me and my family. I highly recommend Sherry and Wiseman Family Practice!

Negative experience: No one seems to work at Wiseman Family Practice anymore. I feel like my primary care physician is an app and a voicemail. Every app message I receive back is from another random name. Not even sure how many people (if they're real people) have access to my health records now. Apparently a whole call center of people can access my health records. Time to find a true healthcare physician.

Joe Allen 1 year ago

Negative experience: Good luck getting them to call you back. Voice mail says they will call you back same day. I called a week ago and nothing. I called again this morning and left a message saying this is unprofessional and that I'd find a new Dr if I didn't hear from them. Wouldn't you know they called me back within the hour. Get it together Wiseman and take care of the people that pay you to take care of them.

Marlene Z 1 year ago

Negative experience: I do not recommend this place. They are very greedy. They charge to use the portal, new patient appointment, then you have to pay to get your test results. No other doctor does this.

Tom Smith 1 year ago

Negative experience: Quality and customer service of this practice has severely declined in the last 8 years of being a client. Two huge mistakes made for my wife in the last 4 months that affected her physical health. No accountability or remedy.

Fantastic experience: I finally found a practice here in Texas that I love. They are holistic and treat the whole person. It’s like doctoring was when I was a kid… personal and caring. They take their time and show they care.

Fantastic experience: Our family has been going here for years. The staff and doctors and other medical professionals are all really caring. They take time to truly listen. They will work with you on more natural remedies and/or pharmaceutical options.

Nichole Antonuccio 1 year ago

Negative experience: Copy and pasted my message to the clinic here. Maybe then they'll at least pretend to care. ------ Alicia (office manager) has repeatedly ignored messages and voicemails of mine about a situation where 3 different practicitioners at your office told me, a patient with an eating disorder, to eat 3 different restrictive diets. The first told me a blood test showed a diagnosis of candida overgrowth and the the protocol had to be followed as closely as possible despite my eating disorder. I found out later from other doctors that "candida overgrowth" is not a conventionally recognized medical issue, especially at the extremely low level I had. I'd like your office to care about this situation and how it has resulted in a massive relapse in my eating disorder that I am battling still, months later.

Amy Stanford 1 year ago

Negative experience: I know the health care industry is rapidly deteriorating everywhere, but WFP particularly bad. They are severely understaffed and unable to answer phones or respond to portal messages. Everything is automated and it's impossible to speak to a person. Do not recommend. You would think for a "holistic" practitioner they would know that stress is a health killer, yet they are the most stressful doctor's office I have ever dealt with.

Andi Stratton 1 year ago

Negative experience: Hope you aren't a returning patient who tries to go here for medical help, apparently they don't really care about the welfare of people or patients. Sure hope you didn't drive far to go see them after you scheduled your appointment, since you show up and they want to charge you just to re establish care and then tell you they can't see you anyway. If their patient portal is so costly to maintain, you would think they wouldn't allow you continued access and ability to make an appointment, only to tell you your appointment is no good when you show up. What is wrong with our healthcare system!!!

Fantastic experience: I don't know what I would do without Bernice! She was always the most helpful person onsite many years back, and is now the most helpful person in billing. I was worried I wouldn't be seen because of a past due balance, but Bernice was able to create a payment plan and always responds to my emails with literally anything I need! This girl definitely needs a raise for all the hats she wears to this day.

Celine Ross 2 years ago

Negative experience: It is unbelievably frustrating that I can't ever talk to a person when I call their number. I just needed to reschedule an appointment, but instead I'll just find another office who has the time to take my call. The $75 non-negotiable fee is pointless. There is no reason I should pay this office a separate fee just to have access to a run-of-the-mill online portal. I absolutely will not be coming back. Update: I received a very rude call back from Jackie, who claimed they do not provide gynecological services and claimed I never made an appointment. Both of these were incorrect but she would hear none of it. Wow! Never have I experienced such unprofessionalism from a medical office, especially one that boasts holistic and functional practices.

Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I took my coworker’s recommendation and scheduled an appointment. I’m currently being treated by Dr. Kimberly Labinsky and I’m extremely pleased with the care I have received. This is the first time I’ve been to a PCP and felt that I was heard and educated on my diagnoses, my labs and treatment plan. Dr. Labinsky always give me an opportunity to ask questions and voice any concerns I may have during appointments. Highly recommend Wiseman’s Family Practice as a PCP. The doctors and staff genuinely care and you’re not just a nameless patient they shuffle in and out.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient of Wiseman Family Practice in Cedar Park and could not have been more pleased with my first 2 visits. Jillian was the nurse practitioner I saw and truly was a superb nurse. In the typical environment of rushing patients through, it was refreshing to experience her thoroughness and excellent listening skills, without feeling rushed. She took her time, listened to my health concerns, performed all the various tests professionally and gently and has set up a good health plan going forward. The entire staff was welcoming and very helpful with my many questions. I could not have been more pleased!

Melissa Mallory 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this practice! From the minute you walk in you're greeted by their friendly staff. Super easy check-in method and the practioners are extremely attentive and they care about your well being, vs. only giving you 3 minutes of their time with no concrete answers. They are how healthcare should be!

Sandhiya Banu Ravikumar 2 years ago

Positive experience: Doctors here are mostly fantastic. It depends on which doctor you end up under. However the front desk, administration, billing and other back office departments are not effective causing delays and frustration. Something to be aware of.

Liz Mikel 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: I’ve loved working with Robyn for acupuncture! She listens to my concerns, explains what points will be helpful, and also gives me suggestions for other homeopathic remedies while treating me. I feel relief from pain for weeks after our treatments!

Crystal H 2 years ago

Negative experience: I have been a "patient" here for many years and so has my son. I made an appointment over 2 weeks in advance, only to be told the day before my appointment that they have to cancel because I haven't been seen in 3 years. I spoke to the receptionist and explained to her that my parents drove many hours to watch my kids so I could be there and if there was any way I could still be seen and she said no. I was not aware that if I was healthy and not in need of being seen repeatedly that I no longer was a patient. I would hope that my doctors office would be there when I needed them and am having health concerns, but this place is inflexible and treated me like I've never been there before even though I have many times myself and have taken my son in as well.

Fantastic experience: Family of five, been patients for two years. The front desk response has gotten so much faster the past couple months. The portal was fast before, but I left a message about an appt tomorrow and was called back within the hour. Love the PA's, Dr's and staff. We are always welcomed and listened to fully. I feel everyone cares about our wellbeing and family's values. Excellent recommendations that helped me through my last pregnancy with long Covid symptoms. The front desk was swamped before with everyone moving here and wait times to become a new patient were long with that influx. It's died down now. But well worth the wait! There's a reason everyone wants to go here!

Fantastic experience: I started seeing Lisa for chiropractic care following a car accident. Over the course of the next few months I had some additional health things come up. Each time I see Lisa she listens to what I'm experiencing and works to provide relief. I genuinely feel better each time I leave her office and am so thankful!

Emma Collins 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Love it so far! The doctors I've seen take the time to listen and suggest options other than antibiotics and other pharmaceuticals. I see Lisa for chiropractic care regularly and I can tell it is making a difference. I've had back and neck problems for years. Hoping she can help heal me! So far, so good. I have more mobility in my neck, less daily pain, and am now seeing her once every two weeks (first I saw her twice a week for two weeks, then once a week for four weeks, now I'm down to every other week). She's the most helpful chiro I've seen and I've seen chiros on and off for the past 15-years.

Negative experience: I went for my initial visit where I picked this place for the more integrative and holistic approach. I paid my normal co-pay but they also charge an extra $75 at the initial visit but not sure what that actually gets me. They didn't take my blood pressure, did not weigh me, no labs, just a meet and greet, then I was told to come back in 6 months for an annual visit. The whole point of a doctor visit was to go over any issues that I'm having and to figure out what's going on. That's not what this was at all. I was told that I can just ask on the portal for a referral. Doesn't the doctor actually need to check me out before knowing if a specialist is needed? I was asked a couple of questions (family history, prior surgeries, current meds) which lasted a couple of minutes, then was hurried out to pay. Not a good place if you actually want a doctor to do their job or take time to find out what's going on and who you are. They did not ask what was going on, where my pain was, what happened, nothing!! No follow up appointment was ever offered. They didn't ask about stressors, concerns, issues that needed their attention, nothing. Very disappointed. I was expecting more.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Wiseman Family Practice for many years now. I've loved their approach- bringing in food, supplements, and medication. They also ask me about my life, my sleep, and lifestyle. To me, that's really important. I love that they really take the time to listen to the patient. I've also recently seen a big turn around in response time and communication- which is much appreciated! Thank you, WFP for helping me take care of my health in a way that aligns with my values.

Negative experience: My provider is OK for basic services. Customer service is horrible. You call, the phone rings once, and it automatically goes to VM. You are referred to making appt on the portal which is easy enough. I had a situation where I needed to see my provider for a general visit. The schedule showed next availability for end of the next month (more than 25 days) and I needed something more immediate. If I wanted telehealth, I was able to see her next day. However, I needed to be seen in person given the nature of my visit so I called the office hoping to speak to someone to scheduling something sooner. I left a VM early Friday morning. No call back. Apparently, they check VM every 30 minutes but if this is case, a person shouldn't have to wait more than a day for a return call. I've never seen the office actually busy so I am not sure why they can never answer the phone. I have to imagine management is aware of feedback regarding the lack of "friendly" customer service so one would think they would consider making improvements. From my last office visit, when you arrive, you check in at a kiosk, provide all of your personal information on an iPad (ER contact, insurance information, etc.) so you're never greeted by someone. You are called up to the desk if you make a note during the check in that you need to talk to a rep. During my last visit, my Medical Assistant didn't introduce herself, gave me a dry "hi" and walked me back to the scale to which demonstrated her inability operate it. She wrote down a number that was 15 lbs heavier than my actual weight. Final note: Be sure to check your health bills/insurance. I was charged for a service that there were not allowed to charge me for per contract with my insurance provider. Thankfully, I check my EOB and saw a note that I was not responsible for payment. I called 2 times and left VM regarding the bill. During my next visit, I inquired about the bill, was told they would look into and give me a call back later that day. No one ever called me back but did take off the charge. I was sent me a note through the portal. Glad to finally have the issue resolved but I was rather upset that they tried to take funds from me they knew they were allowed to.

Negative experience: Sought treatment here bc of the wellness-focused approach. I liked that they paid more attention to slightly low or high blood test results, even if those results aren’t what traditional doctors might see as alarming. I never saw anyone other than a PA, and never got referred for diagnostic tests outside of standard blood tests. Immediately after basic blood tests, they diagnosed me with celiacs, saying they were sure, based on those test results. I thought more in depth testing would be necessary, but they blew me off when I asked for more. Five years later, still struggling on a celiac diet (because I’d been told I have asdf! celiacs), I was finally referred for an endoscopy (by a diff doc). I find out I do NOT have celiacs at all and all that chronic inflammation and pain is from something else. More thorough diagnostic tests would have saved me so much heartache, suffering, and money, I can’t even put it into words. Celiac’s diagnosis should not be taken this lightly. I wasn’t looking for a fad diet and surprise medical and food bills, I needed real diagnostics and answers. Disappointed to say the least.

Negative experience: I've been a client of Dr Wiseman since 2016. The past few years this practices has gone to the trash. When you need them most, they will ignore you. Tried calling all week. Nobody will answer and they ask to leave a message or use the patient portal. Left two voice messages and nobody replied. Left two requests on their portal and no response there either. I only needed a referral to se my specialist but they can't take the time to help me. Next week I'll be looking for a real doctor that cares about their patients. This place is a bad joke and should be avoided.

adrianna McCabe 2 years ago

Negative experience: Nice enough, but make I would recommend not using the online system to make your appointments. They can call you 4 hours before your appointment that has been booked for months to let you know the provider can't see you.

Sarah Hebert 3 years ago

Negative experience: It has to be the worse customer service I’ve ever had to deal with. They do not answer the phone for one, but im just trying to schedule an initial appointment. I’ve registered online and been waiting for three weeks for someone to call me and schedule the appointment! Someone emailed and said they’d call me today to schedule the appointment and i still never heard from anyone! I left three messages today and nothing. Wow! Making an appointment shouldn’t not be this difficult.

Debbie Swierc 3 years ago

Positive experience: The PA's are great but after that, The system is broken. It is impossible to speak with someone. Everything goes thru the portal and 50% of the time it is misinterpreted by someone. Takes all day to get an issue solved.

Cybil Johnson 3 years ago

Negative experience: They DO NOT answer phones. Instead, you'll leave a voicemail for EVERYTHING and hope someone calls you back!!!! It was a good place at one time. Being able to reach a person made things easier. Now nothing sets them apart. No after hours option, and no actual people answering phones. It just sucks.

Positive experience: Special thanks to Rebecca for her recent help when we had covid in our household. Her quick action and recommendations were key to helping us get better fast and mitigating the virus from being worse. Her assistant, Lisa I think is her name, was amazingly helpful as well! The business itself could use some better management around the front desk and their phone system which is absolutely maddening when you need something.

Fantastic experience: Rebecca Brown is one of the best medical providers I've had. I'm extremely high anxiety with doctor visits due to a traumatic childhood event with a doctor, & it manifests in odd ways. I'm also neuro divergent. A lot of drs don't understand & treat me like a bother because of this. Not Rebecca. She always does her best to treat me with respect, make me comfortable, & keep me informed. A lot of providers these days don't want to answer any questions; just want to treat people like cattle & herd them on through. Patient care suffers for this; it's almost like they want you to google it instead, which is obviously terrible. Rebecca isn't like that she has A+ bedside manner. I'm also feeling much better than I was 2 years ago when I 1st started seeing her. I really liked Alanna Judd too on my new pt visit, but I'm not sure if she's still there (she's not listed as an option in my portal).

Positive experience: This is a great practice for the providers. My only complaint is it is impossible to talk to anyone on the phone. If you have an urgent matter, good luck. It takes on average a day and a half before someone calls you back no matter what time of day you call. The front desk just does not seem to care at all about you or your problems. That said, once you get past the administrative side the providers are fantastic and some of the most thorough and caring I have ever seen. They're worth the hassle.

Negative experience: Promised me they would figure out what has been causing chronic pain for 5 years. After two visits I was told to stop eating processed foods and to come back in 6 months. I will not be returning unless I receive actual help.

Fantastic experience: Can I just say how much I appreciate and love this practice. My husband has been going there for over 10 yrs (me a little less) and I see why he wouldn’t go elsewhere. From the doctors who have helped us (Shane, Sellma and Wiseman himself) to Jessica today. We’ve never had bad service, and if there was ever any confusion it’s fixed immediately. Thank you all for what you do and the compassion you give to all of us.

Negative experience: While the staff is friendly, and the provider was on time for appointment (rare at this location), I am disappointed at the quality of care and how little information the NP's provide. You can get the same if not better information researching on your own, going to People's RX, or just seeing a smart doctor elsewhere. Don't expect to get any intelligent recommendations about which of the 3 vaccines might be better for you, they have no idea. My favorite provider left this practice, so I'll be looking into other options in the future. Furthermore if you need to communicate with this office, it is not easy. Leave a message and hope you dont miss their call when they call back.

Negative experience: I have called several time and register on the website and haven’t received a call yet it’s been a month and a half or more .

Suzanne Saxman 4 years ago

Positive experience: They have good treatment protocols that help you heal by using a combination of meds, wholistic methods that work with strengthening your own body to heal and they have detailed testing that gives you specific information on how to treat. With that said. My last visit was a wellness visit. I had lab results that showed a high abnormal on one item. I asked for an adjustment to my dosage at the well check. The response from the NP was something like- you will need to make another appt. to discuss that. My well check took 10 minutes. She started to leave the room and we discussed why she would not treat the abnormal lab right there at the appt. we ended up talking in the hallway in front of everyone as she wanted to move on to her next patient. I found this to be very inappropriate altogether. She said because of insurance, she could not talk about anything to do with a “sick” treatment visit. I said what if it was a severe condition like high blood sugar. Would she still make me wait? Yes. Then I told her I wasn’t using insurance to pay. I was paying out of pocket. Made no difference. So I left that office. That’s not to say this practice is not good but some of there policies are rigid. I spoke with the office administrator about it but they were not helpful. I have recommended them to several people only because their overall philosophy and medical practice is good. My daughter goes to the one in Westlake and she like them there. My husband still goes. But the rigid office visits are not appropriate. She just needed to raise the dose on my existing prescription. Which she did after I fussed about it.

Amber Anderson 4 years ago

Negative experience: -I’ve been here since Jan 2019, I believe (around there) -it’s a 3 day process to get anything done because the call wait times are horrendously long, if they even answer -the front desk staff is notoriously rude - I’ve been re-scheduled on 3 times -the chart in the room is not always mine -my doctor hasn’t documented correctly, had me on medications for about a year longer than necessary (switched to another dr in their office and she was astounded I’m not in Adrenal failure) -one of my prescriptions takes 10+ days of hassle to fill every time (controlled substance) and that is always bc of a clerical error, a “glitch” in their communication portal or just their slow response times -twice I’ve spent $150 for lab work that hasn’t been read only for me to discover that after medication dosing was made (the point of the labs being to determine how to dose) -there is a lack in communication on process- so for example, I’ll request a refill and they will say it requires an appt. No problem! But that would be helpful to know before I need to refill so I don’t have a delay. The only reason I’ve stayed is because I feel like I don’t have options. I have to constantly advocate for myself and it’s exhausting. I will be spending this week without my prescription because they have yet again made another mistake. At this point, I will be filing a complaint with the state of Texas for negligence. It makes me very sad to do this, and I’ve been honest with them more than once about feeling a responsibly to do that and mistakes continue to happen. I have several friends experiencing the same thing and this just can’t happen to people. It’s not safe. :(

Positive experience: Used to have way better experiences here. Now takes entirely too long to receive a call back and seems as if there's rarely any availability for the doctors to see you. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember, but it seems the customer service has deteriorated as the years have passed. Once I actually get in touch with someone or am able to make an appointment, the office and doctors is fine. However, waiting well over 48 hours for a simple call back from the office that is supposed to be your Primary Care Physicians office just isn't going to work for me or my health.

Fantastic experience: I love going to a pracitioner that has introduced me and my family to natural alternatives. So important to go to a place that I trust!

Fantastic experience: I value an integrative medicine practice in which I partner with my provider to manage my own health. Wiseman Family Practice is that experience for me.

Lisa Leigh Kelly 4 years ago

Positive experience: Our whole family has been using Wiseman Family Practice as our primary physician for many years. We love the integrative approach and the personal attention they give. However, it seems lately they have taken on too many new patients so the established patients can't get the care they need. Last year, I had the flu and called to see if I could get an appointment that day. I was running 102 fever and really just needed a prescription for some cough medicine. They made me wait in my car for two hours before I could see anybody (even though they had told me to go ahead and come in). This is not the kind of care I find acceptable.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wiseman and the team at Wiseman Family Practice listened to me like no other doctor had in the past. As a result I was referred to the correct specialists and my life-long health conditions were finally properly diagnosed. Traditional medicine had thrown pharmaceutical remedies at symptoms instead of treating all my symptoms holistically. Now that I understand my body, I have never been healthier or happier. I am so grateful and am now a very loyal patient of Wiseman Family Practice.

Negative experience: This review is based on their behavior regarding covid. Several of the staff sitting in the open bull pin did not have their masks on. Their masks we're pulled down below their chins. This was not in a private office, but in the area patients are required to wait in order check out. I found this alarming especially considering that this is a doctor's office. This made me extremely uncomfortable. Had I known that they are not taking covid seriously, I would not have come in. I have generally had a positive experience with this office, although I do usually have to wait.

Negative experience: This practice is completely incompetent. Do yourselves a favor and find another practice. Ihad heard questionable experiences but figured I’d give it a try. After 4 years I see why so many ppl end up leaving. Save yourselves the frustration.

Fantastic experience: I've gone to Wiseman for about 6 years. I'm quite pleased with the NP's I've worked with. They listen; they care; they're smart; they serve. I'm particularly pleased that they combine complementary/natural medicine with allopathic where they deem fit. There's something to be said for both.

Fantastic experience: I really like this practice. The staff is very knowledgeable and they keep current on new things in medicine. The Cedar Park office is my home base because it is near to where I worked before I retired. I've had occasion to use the Westlake office a couple times -- also nice. All the offices I have visited are well-managed -- appointments on time and and so forth.

Negative experience: I have been going to WFP for over 10 years I can say they have gone down hill As of today I’m done Went in for my annual physical ( I’m 61). It was all of 5 minutes I was shocked. The nurse said to give a urine sample Didn’t happen. No breast exam. Just a look up my nose and throat then ou of there Sad thing is there billing my insurance for a full physical and I can’t get another till next year. This has been going on for many years now. Just a hassle to find another primary care place But I will

Fantastic experience: Wiseman Family Practice is awesome because they believe in prevention and cure, not just diagnose and treat. With the help of Selma I am able to control my arthritis with diet and natural supplements - with NO poisonous medication.. I have also reduced my thyroid medication. The clinic allows time for the doctors to see the their patients so you #1 don't feel rushed - you have time to actually talk with the doctor and #2 aren't sitting in the waiting room forever. Their hours are great - including Saturdays and they take walk-ins. They communicate with you and you are a part of your care - you aren't just dictated to. I feel like I matter to them and that they are truly concerned for my health.

Fantastic experience: I have been at Wiseman Family Practice for years! My husband and I have been very pleased with the practioners and the staff. Three years ago we retired and began to travel around the U.S. most of the time. Wiseman Family Practice has been wonderful about supporting us as we travel, whether it's medication refills or consulting over a minor illness. This office is one of the reasons we continue to make Austin our home base.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend it! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I am attended by Linda who is a sweetheart in human form. Very attentive, she has a lot of knowledge and command over what she talks about. I am very grateful to the entire team. You work with respect for others. Thank you!

Negative experience: I'm giving them one star because the staff are not wearing masks during a pandemic. With all the misleading information about transmission in a state that is about to be in full capacity in hospitals, staff members should be wearing a mask at a doctor's office. It brings an apathetic message to patients towards this pandemic. This is not what Texas needs.

Maggie Ortiz 5 years ago

Negative experience: There is a PANDEMIC HAPPENING and I just walked in and the office staff is NOT wearing masks, patients are not required to wear masks! This is unacceptable I have autoimmune disease what is happening? I’m a mastered prepared nurse with 20 year experience to include currently practicing during this pandemic in the hospital where people are dying! Texas numbers are up and this is irresponsible!!! It’s this facility’s responsibility to tell patients this and give them the option of even coming! Wow! Unreal! Addendum: I was called while choosing to wait outside since they were not requiring their staff to wear masks and the young lady I believe to be the MA stated that the NP WOULDN'T be wearing a mask that she would be behind me doing the procedure so she didn't need to wear a mask. I of course had an issue with this not only because their is a PANDEMIC but because it's also a surgical procedure and sterile gloves and a mask are required. Selma NP raised her voice at me, was rude and condescending ... asking me if I "even knew was a virus was." I'm a patient as well as a nurse and I work in the hospital where there is a 60% in cases and we have practitioners being irresponsible and not even disclosing to patients that they are NOT requiring masks for their staff. I don't even have the words for her unprofessional conduct especially during a pandemic with patient's who are fearful. THIS IS UNREAL!

Fantastic experience: Audrey Wand set up an appointment with me after my physical to discuss test results. In the past (other doctors offices) I have not had the opportunity to discuss results.

Danielle Cuzze 5 years ago

Negative experience: Incredibly disappointing. I was excited to read the information on Wiseman’s website. It led me to believe this was a holistically-minded practice that wouldn’t shove a prescription at me within 5 minutes of entering an exam room and without knowing my medical history. I was not looking for a doctor to slap meds on any symptoms I or my children might have. They boast online that their primary goal is to address the root cause of disease and help their patients thrive with preventive healthcare therapies; lifestyle changes, energy therapies, manual therapies, supplemental therapies, and only finally and lastly pharmaceutical and surgical therapies. I was so excited to read this that I made appointments for both of my children. I do not carry insurance, so i paid in cash in full at the time of service. I made NEW PATIENT appointments for both of my children with the sole intent to establish them as patients. I did not make sick patient appointments. I waited over a month to have them seen. My expectation was that the practice would take a comprehensive health history, get to know my kids and any of the issues they have going on, ask questions about our diet, lifestyle, etc...and determine their overall wellness and make recommendations for improved wellbeing. Welp. That is not what happened. Before my daughter’s appointment, she got sick. So, when we arrived at the office, our need had changed since she was ill, but I did not call and alert the office because I still wanted them to treat us as an establish patient appointment. The nurse practitioner Audrey at the Cedar Park location seemed like she didn’t want to spend much time with us. She kept asking me “so, what are you here for TODAY?” when I began giving her a recent history of health problems my daughter had been having. She was uninterested when I talked about our diet. She didn’t ask any questions about the food my daughter eats. At one point I asked if I could grab some water from the hallway for my daughter to drink. Audrey audibly sighed, appeared annoyed that I was leaving the room, and said “sure” but that she would “be back” before getting up and leaving. It took me 15 seconds to get the water, and I ended up waiting 5-10 minutes for Audrey to come back. Her exasperation with me was clear at that point, so I stopped trying to give her information when she asked me AGAIN to pinpoint the symptom or issue I had come in for. Audrey immediately wrote me a prescription. When I asked her if there were any alternative therapies I could try she shrugged ‍♀️ And said if I wanted to I could call People’s Wellness Center (a totally different practice) and ask the naturopathic doctor there. She then told me I could look on their website for cold and flu therapies to use at home.... she did not discuss any of those therapies with me. She seemed ready to leave the room. When I went to pick up the prescription, the pharmacy said it wasn’t called in. I waited until the next day and went back and it still wasn’t there, so I called Wiseman to ask. They confirmed their records showed she sent the prescription in. I finally got the pharmacist herself involved, who told me the medicine I was looking for wasn’t even a RX, but an OTC med! Why didn’t this NP know she was “prescribing” an OTC med? What a disaster. My son’s appointment at the Westlake location was similar. The male NP was a nice guy, but again, didn’t establish my son as a patient. Didn’t ask about our diet. Didn’t ask about health history. Just prescribed antibiotics for my sons ear infections and sent us on our way. I paid $460 for a $10 prescription and an OTC med. This practice does not have in-depth health history records on either of my children, despite the fact that I spent $110 on “new patient fees”. They are in no position to help my family with preventive lifestyle therapies, because they don’t know what our lifestyle is. Wiseman Family Practice, you are falsely advertising a level of care that you are not delivering. Thoroughly disappointed and wish I could get my $460 back!

John Benge 5 years ago

Negative experience: Tried to make a first appointment, told about the 55$ fee that is not covered by insurance and when I asked what it was for they couldn't tell me and that is was just a new patient fee. They tried to explain it was for the online services that every other place supplies free. Reading the reviews I am glad to cancel my first appointment before going as it is almost impossible to get a hold of anyone to set up or cancel an appointment.

Pamela McDonald 5 years ago

Negative experience: Most of my family and extended family come here because of their holistic approach. I really like the physician assistants I have seen. My low review is due to the office staff and management, which is causing me to look elsewhere, which is a shame. I have had several instances where I was not treated professionally and it gets to point where enough is enough. As an example, today, I was 15 minutes late for my appointment, which was due to confusion on the actual appointment time. I understand that can cause problems, but I don’t appreciate being talked down to about it by the receptionist. These things happen, and I understand - considering the fact I have previously spent an hour and half past my appointment time waiting on them to even see me. Point is - even with quality care, you will lose your clients when the front staff speaks to people like they are beneath them. Basic customer service fundamentals. Your time is not more important than mine. You can’t be inconvenienced by 15 minutes, but you can waste 3 hours of my time and be rude about it on top of that?

Negative experience: Very disappointed. I was told to give blood in 6 weeks, and when I went to give blood there was no order so I used an old one. Now they want me to give blood and pay for the work again because of their mistake. Why wasn't blood order some the day of my visit? Avoid if you have anything more serious than a cold.

Fantastic experience: I love this office. Very friendly, efficient and the doctor is a great listener and I never feel rushed with my appointments. It’s nice to have a doctor that takes the time to listen and really help you with your issues. I will never go anywhere else ❤️ Linda Seibert is awesome.

Negative experience: Absolute waste of time. I www need to get an appointment with the homeopathy doctor that’s advertised in their website as one of their doctors. After trying to schedule onngot the first appointment online, the first call I received to confirm the appointment was after 8 days. That too i was told I cannot get appointment directly to the doctor of my preefernce without meeting a nurse practitioner and paying $50 registration fee. I still went with it. On the day of the appointment the nurse practitioner got the details, and when I said I’m interested in meeting the homeopathy doctor she menttioned that’s a tootally different practice and I need a separate appointment for that. Total waste of time.

Fantastic experience: I am located in the Dallas area and have been doing TeleVisits with Dr. Jeremy Wiseman for months. I desperately wanted to lose weight and was having a hard time getting local Doctors to listen to me. With Dr. Wiseman’s help I was able to reduce my medications, made some eating/lifestyle changes and lost over 20 pounds and 18 inches! Not only do I look slimmer and feel better...I have so much energy at 59 years young! I highly recommend Dr. Wiseman and his TeleVisit services!!

Fantastic experience: I could not love these doctors more! Finding doctors who focus on whole body health and not pills and shots was something of a challenge, but once I found Wiseman, I knew I could stop looking. Every visit is an in-depth discussion of what is happening not only with our symptoms, but our lives, diets, and the rest of our body. Their supplements are wonderful and their garden is delightful!

Negative experience: Receptionists at location have treated me rudely and unprofessionally in the past. Placed on long holds by phone to make an appointment only to find out they are booked months in advance and either require me to drive to Westlake or Downtown instead of having openings at Cedar Park. I called to schedule a wellness exam and was told all they have at Cedar Park location are female doctors. I can't believe Wiseman would not diversify his doctor pool and provide male and female physicians. Will have to find new provider.

Fantastic experience: Good location and excellent service on a Saturday to pick up some supplements. They have great supplements. You can order online or pick up at a location. I call and check stock before I travel.

Nadine Schlamp 6 years ago

Negative experience: If your interested in the weight loss program. Don't bother you have to wait a month and half to get in. Too many other places to go to in town. Family practices should not advertise weight loss if they can't accommodate patients.

Sarah Wenetschlaeger 7 years ago

Negative experience: This place was highly recommended by several people but no matter how many times I called I could never get anyone to call me back. I missed the initial phone call after filling out the online form as I was at work. When I tried to call back they kept forwarding me to whoever handles new clients to leave a voice message. After doing this three separate times with no one ever calling me back I gave up. I am now going to a competitor company that I am happy with.
