Negative experience: I do not recommend Dr. Reza Hashemipour. He served little to no help for my needs. I had a paralyzed esophagus and needed to change my peg tube. Before changing my peg tube he read the instructions in front of me on how to do it, then proceeded to make multiple errors with setting it in place. He put the wrong one in and then put the correct one in improperly. It was extremely painful and chaotic. Then he had to put me under for him to do it correctly when he described the operation as a "5 minute replacement". I refused to finish my process with him and sought help elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I began my weight loss journey with Digestive Care Specialists November 2023. I arrived at the office filled with anxiety & frustrated with my health. Nurse Crystal Lubis and Nutritionist Katelyn Metz eased my fears from Day 1. They listened to my concerns and offered solutions to help me reach my weight loss goals. With their coaching, through check-ins and telemed appointments, as of November 2024, I’ve lost over 50 pounds! I’ve drastically improved my overall physical & mental health. And as a result I’ve altered my relationship with food. I highly recommend Digestive Care Specialists!

Fantastic experience: This was my first interaction with Dr Halim Charbel and his staff. You could not ask for a better experience. They are caring, compassionate, very professional and knowledgeable. Doctor Charbel takes his time. He is not like most doctors I have encountered who send their staff in to get all the information and then come in. He wanted to obtain as much information for himself as possible to better understand what I was dealing with. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who ask me.

Negative experience: I have never felt so blatantly disrespect and treated like less than a human being for wanting to treat my condition with stomach pain. The doctor was rude , had no politeness answered a phone call right in the middle of my appointment extremely rude!!! Stay away if you care about yourself and wanted to be treated with respect!!!

They contacted my insurance company and arranged everything for me, and I was able to start on Ozempic! They meet with me refularly to discuss nutrition, exercise, and any physical side effects. I highly recommend this clinic.

Negative experience: They will not answer your questions before visit. I asked Dr Halim Charbel staff before making an appointment several times what insurance is in your network. They simply ignore you. Dr Charbel will not see you if you are poor. Money takes precedent over treating you if you can not afford it
