Fantastic experience: Do YOU want the BEST experience at a gym ever? THIS is the place! Pack Animal is the ONLY gym obese people like me can actually feel welcome, and NOT judged. People will high-five you just for showing UP. The owner, Matt, and his wife know everyone on first-name basis, and treat everyone like family. One of the last 'gems of gyms' where you don't have to worry about some tiktoker or "influencer" video-ing you. You also get to workout beside actual pro bodybuilders and fitness EXPERTS, who are all so friendly and eager to offer advice or encouragement. This gym motivates you to succeed at your fitness goals, whatever they are. They have a massage therapist and personal trainers available, a cold plunge, sauna, and even offer protein or pre for purchase in case you've forgotten yours. The beautiful graffiti artwork everywhere gives it that "True Grit To Get Fit" motivation you need. I walk in and immediately get psyched to work out! Worth the extra few dollars to not deal with the typical "fighting for a machine" feeling like at other gyms. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: If you live or are visiting in the St Pete area this THE gym to go to. Old school bodybuilding style with lots of great equipment also for powerlifting and strongman training. Owner is a cool dude with great experience in the bodybuilding world. This is definitely a place I will visit again!

Fantastic experience: I desperately needed a gym last night and am glad I found this place! The owners are a couple with kids who just lost everything from Milton. Tough times reveal character, and they basically encompass everything I love about the gym community including resilience and positivity. I have two gyms and still saw equipment I’d only seen on TikTok. Can’t wait to train here again!

Fantastic experience: Not gym related however, I had the honor of meeting the owner of this establishment today while going to help family clean up and repair over in St. Pete after hurricane Helene. Matt was out there giving back to the community with a couple of his friends giving people rides on his boat that weren't able to drive over the bridge. That being said he graciously gave us a ride to help out our loved ones and if it wasn't for him we would have never made it out there. If you live in the area I would 100% recommend this gym knowing how awesome this guy is it truly speaks volume about his character I would much rather give my business to a person like this than a big corporation any day

Fantastic experience: This is the best gym in St Petersburg and maybe even the world endless gratitude to the owner Matt for providing the most amazing space for us Pack Animals to call home! No matter what your training style or fitness level is, Pack Animal Fitness has the perfect equipment and setup for you to achieve your goals—this place is weightlifter/bodybuilder/powerlifter D*sneyland!! The gym is equipped with every cable and plate loaded machine you can dream of, all the specialty barbells, sooo many kettlebells, indoor turf space, EVERYTHING! I do not personally use the gym’s training services at this time, but I have witnessed friendly and very knowledgeable sessions taking place and would recommend. Get to the gym and happy lifting!!

Fantastic experience: Can’t tell you enough how much I love/appreciate this gym. It has that old school gym feel but offers the best equipment in the area along with cold plunge, sauna, supp shop, etc. The owner (Matt) is always there doing what he can to improve it and clearly puts his members first/gets to know them - none of that corporate bs structure that all gyms nowadays have become. The personal trainers are beyond knowledgeable and practice what they preach. I will be a member at this gym for as long as it’s around.

The equipment is very unique and covers many different training specialities including powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, and crossfit. They also have cryo and a sauna. Highly recommend this gym!!

Fantastic experience: This is that gym, the gym you hear about where it is as real as it can be, where you can be as serious here as you want with out interference. They have more machines there than I've ever seen at any gym and the guys there know what they're doing. Nobody's going to bug you here. They have a hot sauna and a cold plunge tub too. Prices are unbelievably low. Got to check this place out if you like a great gym and a cool atmosphere. Family owned not corporate schlep's.

Negative experience: Matt drives around violently in his lifted pickup with the Pack Animal logo all over it. He likes to be hyper aggressive in the parking lot of the Publix on 49th St, endangering small children. Then he likes to jump out of his still-running truck to yell curse words at the concerned parent, and then threaten violence on the parent. While the child watches. If I were your father, Matt, I’d be ashamed of you.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a gym with people who actually come to train, this is it! Five stars for the people/members. Cool old school equipment mixed with new must haves, you’ll find everything you need for a great training session.

The owner Matt was very helpful even going as far as leaving a personal matter to help me sign up for a week pass. The gym has all the equipment you would ever need. Fantastic experience: Love this gym. It's not over crowded and you don't have to worry about fighting for machines. The owner is super cool and knowledgeable. You have access to tons of machines. Multiple machines that target every part of the body. Access to wraps, belts, cable accessories, chains, etc. Anything you can think of related to weightlifting and working out is here.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to this gym since they were just a little bit smaller at the other end of the building. Matt has been amazing job opening it up and bringing equipment that you can’t find anywhere else. Most gyms in this area can’t compete. I would recommend this Jim to anybody who serious about lifting.

Fantastic experience: Bodybuilding, weightlifting, powerlifting, or strongman. This gym has what you need. But don't worry, it's also got general lifestyle members too. Everyone is super friendly, there are no egos or prima donnas here. The owner cares more about the environment than the money. It's never super busy, and membership will be capped to make sure it stays that way. The infrared sauna is available to all members all the time, and there's a cold plunge available for a small additional charge. Family friendly, and dog friendly too! If you want to train in bare feet or with your shirt off, there's no stuffy rules. Respect the gym, re-rack your weights, and clean up after yourself.

Fantastic experience: This gym has ruined me for all other gyms. The selection of equipment is fantastic, I rarely have to wait to use anything, and the owner, Matt, is super friendly and actively asks about ways to improve your experience here. The members all seem to genuinely want to encourage each other’s fitness journeys and don’t give unsolicited tips the way I’ve experienced at most commercial gyms. The staff are awesome and quick to help with anything you need. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you’re looking for a community vibe in your gym!

Fantastic experience: BEST PLACE TO WORKOUT IN PINELLAS COUNTY!!! Relocated from NYC down to Pinellas this summer and have struggled to find the perfect gym that matches the energy I had at my favorite city gym… Pack Animal matches it, actually exceeds it The energy here is so powerful, everyone minds their business and puts in the work— I come weekdays after work, at any other gym 6pm is literal hell, not here! The crowd is not even a crowd here, it’s a handful of easygoing people. I always get to complete my workouts as intended, with no interruptions or issues with equipment. There’s always plenty of machines & weights- seriously this place is decked out. 10/10 would recommend *also Matt the owner, his family, and staff are the absolute BEST! Such a great place

Fantastic experience: WOW! Huge gym. Very clean and didn’t have the typical “bro gym” vibe. I couldn’t stand up straight when I arrived and the cryotherapy, just one session, dramatically helped and I walked out standing straight up. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

The gym atmosphere is always filled with good music and good vibes. Fantastic experience: Coming to this gym from a commercial gym was an absolutely incredible experience. Beginning with the owner and his family; the energy is wonderful, the owner is helpful, happy, and flat out one of the nicest guys around. The environment feels crisp and homey, like working out at a home gym but with any equipment one can ask for. From good staff, clean and never before seen equipment, to just a safe be yourself environment this place has it all. Thank you very much.

Fantastic experience: This is the gym I’ve been searching for my whole life. It’s perfect. It’s a gym with real fitness enthusiasts and professionals standing by to help with every type of training equipment one could ask for. You can’t be in the place for long without feeling motivated to get after it. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. Matt, the owner, is super kind. The staff are friendly and available for any questions you may have. And my trainer Krystal is AMAZING. I was nervous about signing up for a membership because I’m nearing 40 and have been out of the gym for years. I could not have looked less like someone who works out on day 1. Still everyone was very supportive and now my morning workouts are my favorite part of my day. Without a doubt the staff at PAF as well as the facility itself are an integral part of why the experience has been so great.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, amazing employees and owners. They had an issue with influencers filming people and antagonizing and harassing people but the owners took care of the issue promptly. We can now work out in peace without kids with cameras walking around filming us. Great community for the real members that actually use the gym for positive self improvement. Highly recommended.

And if you ever have an issue with anything, the owners are receptive and thoughtful. They go out of their way to remember you too! I pass two other big box gyms on my drive to get here, it’s just worth it.

Not to mention 24/7 access as well. The owners are great people.. they have a passion for fitness and it shows in the gym they’ve built!

Fantastic experience: If you're serious about lifting, this is it. Owner is constantly making improvements to the gym and is filled with great people.

Positive experience: It's a good gym. I'm very happy with how the owner(s) consistently work to improve the gym and that's likely been the biggest selling point for me. It's a big space, and as I usually go during off hours it's never crowded. Some of the equipment is a little ragged, but it does the job. Fair warning, the membership page on their website doesn't state it but they do charge a cancellation fee. Overall it's likely one of the best gyms in the Pinellas area. 24/7 access, decent equipment, and once again owners who care about improving their business. The only reason I'm leaving the gym is because I'm moving! I definitely feel like the owners have "earned" my business so to speak, so if I was staying in the area I'd definitely keep going Pack Animal.

Fantastic experience: I had the please of providing DJ services for a grand reopening event at Pack Animal Fitness. I was very impressed with the amount of heavy duty equipment and big name body builders that attended the event. The owners are very nice people and the overall environment was uplifting and cheerful. Thank you Pack animal Fitness for having me!

Fantastic experience: I was in the area and needed a place to train as I do a mix of weight lifting and power lifting type workout for my sport. I had found this gym near by and saw that they did not have staffed hours past 3 but I could give the phone number a text if I wanted to come in for a day pass past those times. The owner gladly allowed me to use the facility which was by far the nicest gym I have ever been too. I was able to do all my exercises and the energy from the other people around was amazing the short time I was there you could see other people working just as hard as you for there goals which is something I really like to see in a gym. I would even say this place is worth moving states haha!
