Fantastic experience: I was in a lot of pain from my left hip and quad. Couldn’t figure out what it was. I saw several doctors that really didn’t help. Once I saw Dr Gus, he really explained what was going on. After 2 visits, I was pain free and could move again. He is going to be my main chiropractor from now on.

Fantastic experience: Best chiropractor in the Midwest. Incredibly knowledgeable and performs on each patient based on their X-ray results to ensure he is correcting what needs to be corrected to make you feel better. For what Dr. Gus and Brian provide the cost for your X-ray and visits is a steal. I am 38 years old I have had 5 back surgeries for herniated discs I have degenerative disc disease I have had another surgery for a perrenial decompression in my left leg for my drop foot and nerve damage. This all started when I was 23. I went to a chiropractor who was very expensive every visit. It seemed like the adjustments were helping for a little but I was referred by my financial officer to Dr. Gus. I haven’t had to have another ER visit since seeing Dr Gus 7 years ago. Gus and Brian are down to earth people who genuinely care about their work. They care for the people that come in there and they know what they can provide for these people can actually help. I was in so much daily pain from 23-31 that no medicine could fix. I was convinced nothing could help and this is what it was for the rest of my life. I am still in pain due to the condition of my spine and hips and nerve damage in my leg and foot for the last decade took its toll but going to see Dr Gus and Brian has been a very positive outcome for my condition which has improved the quality of my life. My pain is so minimal compared to before I would highly suggest anyone but especially someone who just doesn’t think any of this actually works I was that person and I needed to try anything and this can’t be denied.

I have frequented 4 different chiropractors in the Chicagoland area over the past 15 years, for both prevention and injury, but Dr. Gus is by far the best! Why? 1.) He genuinely cares about you. At other places I’ve felt like a number due to their size or simply just a patient, but with Gus I feel like I am with family. 2.) His techniques are the best. He uses techniques I’ve never seen other chiros use before! 3.) His form - accuracy and precision - are unmatched. Ever had a Chiro hurt you before? I have. Not here! Dr. Gus you are the best! I travel 45 mins to visit and it’s well-worth the commute.

Fantastic experience: This review is long overdue!!! I initially came to Dr.Gus in Spring of 2023 with severe low back pain. I could not bend forward to touch my toes, sleeping was an issue and I couldn't stand or sit for too long. I am so grateful for Dr. Gus and Brian because they got me all the way together. I was told that I would need several weekly visits to correct all of the things going on with me and sure enough after visit 3/4, I started to regain mobility. My issue has been corrected because of the care and methods utilize at this facility. I'm back to working out again which I was not sure if I would be able to do. I go back every now and then for adjustments and will never visit another Chiro. Please note I drive from Chicago to Westmont for these guys and it's totally worth the trip!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve known Dr Gus more than 10 years, and consider him more of a friend than my doctor. Extremely smart guy. 1st time I had severe lower back pain from trucking. 1 visit and I could walk. This time I injured myself stretching for swimming and weight training. I couldn’t stand up straight. 1 visit and I could. I’ve visited Chiropractors for 50 years and Dr Gus is the best! 3 different approaches, Logan, Palmer, and another, and Dr Gus was still best. He takes it seriously, understands the science, and is personable. My background is Farming/ranching, martial arts (used to compete in 70’s, 80’s, 90’s) and taught, cycling, swimming, business ownership. I am also 6’6” tall. I believe in the whole approach and take vitamins too. I’ve recommended Genuine Care over the years, the same way I recommended Grandmaster Jung (Tae Kwon Do), because if you take it seriously, it works! 80-90% of people really don’t take their health seriously, they dabble, like everything else in their life, then play the blame game. Dr Gus will offer little suggestions, take them and apply them…they work!

Fantastic experience: Cannot thank God and you enough for literally the GENUINE CARE you gave me and my dog today. Same day appointment for Bruno and felt INSTANTLY cared for. My dog and I both experience anxiety - and are both WAY better than when we walked in! Doc even made us run around in the field. Cannot get over how much better about life itself I feel in this moment. On your door it states "For duty and humanity". It was the first sign I was in the right place. Every second after that proved that God is Real and good humans are in arms reach. I've never felt "excited" to be a client somewhere.. I'm so grateful for this day.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful to have met Dr. Gus and Brian. When I walked in, I could hardly move my neck. Brian did a (wonderful) massage, then applied moist heat. Dr. Gus did an adjustment, then educated me on the healing process. I was given daily exercises to do at home. I walked out feeling so much better than when I walked in! I did follow up and I am telling you Dr. Gus and Brian truly make you feel like family. They will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of properly!! The third team member, Buddy, always greets you warmly by wagging his tail!!

Always the same; x-ray's, scare tactics, basic "plan" e.g. stretches, exercises, payment plan in the hundreds, a "one plan fits all persona". Not with Dr. Gus! My back has been causing me pain for years, and now I know it is my hips that have been causing me pain for years, I FINALLY have some answers and have had relief. Your first appointment is "like family" and Brian the massage therapist is top notch as well. I am rather impressed with how I feel after only 3 appointments. Fantastic experience: We moved to Westmont from the city 2 years ago and I have been lucky enough to drive by this office every day to drop my son off at daycare. I called, Dr. Gus saw me the next day(was having some neck pain while sleeping) and we started treatment. From the very first visit I saw improvement right away. It is now part of my weekly routine coming in to see them at Genuine. Having just turned 40 and keeping a strenuous workout routine, my visits to Gebuine are a must. Brian(massage therapist) does a great job prepping my adjustments with ultrasound therapy. Great people, great experience!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gus is the best! I was in pain for months I couldn’t walk because of my lower back. I went to three other chiropractors and they didn’t know how to help me. They tried adjusting and massaging and it didn’t help. After my first visit with Dr.Gus my pain went away about 90%. Few more visits and my back is like new. If you need help and you are in pain this is the place! I never give reviews but it has been six months and my back still doesn’t hurt.

Fantastic experience: My first time going to a chiropractor. Dr. Gus was a referral from my husband and in-laws. I was a bit nervous seeing as it was my first time in 40 years seeing a chiropractor. I had some issues I’ve been dealing with: tight/stiff neck, hurt right shoulder, overall tight back, etc. Dr. Gus explained what he was doing at all times, knew about my right pelvic area before I even told him, and I appreciated his overall bedside manner (casual/professional).

Positive experience: I had a spinal fusion and naturally my muscles were knotted and very painful. I came here for a massage and had Tony who applied this approach I had never had before, where he basically held pressure points on the knotted areas and I had so much relief after. I would say it increased my mobility by 10% just from this massage. I was still on the walker after surgery when I went there and it is a very small office and somewhat crowded with most of the practice on the top floor with a large staircase. I was unaware that was the layout because it is different from the pictures online so I didn't know it would be a problem. They also had to move furniture for me to get through places, that's how crowded it is. The crowdedness and difficulty for handicapped people is why I removed a star. However, they did adjust and had me massaged downstairs so they are very helpful and flexible. There is a handicap ramp to get in, and everyone there was magnificent and made me very comfortable. Had a great time with the owners dog in the waiting room. Sweetest puppy.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had low back/hip issues for several years. Most times I don’t notice it, but occasionally it gets wrenched up to a point where I can barely get out of bed. Such an occurrence happened a week & a half ago. I found Genuine Care online & reconnected with Dr Gus. After the first visit I had good share of my mobility back. And after just a few more visits utilizing his recommended therapy, massage & chiropractic adjustments I’m restored! He & his staff are friendly & well qualified. Facility was well equipped & clean too! I would definitely return.

Fantastic experience: As a professional dancer and teaching artist, I need my body to stay in top shape and ability. I had been seeing Dr. Gus for more than 3 yrs biweekly and nowadays a few times a year when I’m back in Chicago. Dr. Gus and his team have saved my knees and ankles many times with many different treatments tailored to my needs. He still pays attention to old injuries and aches while he works on any new or chronic ones I’m coming in for. His skills as a chiropractor and attentiveness as a healthcare provider in general have set the bar high for me as I’ve looked for chiro’s in new cities I move to. Not included in this 5 star rating- His 5 Star sense of humor

Negative experience: This was an overall bad experience. When I arrived as a new patient there was no onboarding process. No COVID screening upon entry. None of the staff or docs wore masks. I waited over an hour to be seen while I watched at least 3 people come in without appointments. They were all seen before anyone even spoke to me. I waited over an hour. Final straw was when I heard the doctor ask a staff member who I was abd then he told the staff member that he would see all regular patients before he saw me. Completely unprofessional in every way. Do not waste your time here as they completely wasted mine.

Fantastic experience: I have been to a few chiropractors over the last 18 years I had a pain in my neck and went down through my right arm That the chiropractor could not get rid of the pain after seeing him for 17 and a 1/2 years I went to doctor Gus 1st visit got rid of almost all the pain After 2 weeks of going once a week the pain is completely gone after all these years I recommend Doctor Gus very highly I will not go anywhere else

I’m a broke guy but he never lets that stand in the way of anything. His observations about life will keep you laughing but he’s quite serious about your health and well being. Shout out to Brian, Danielle, Kelley and Chris. You keep me coming back for MORE .. Edit: I recently experienced an episode of such severe neck pain that it felt like my whole head was in a cage .. I had ZERO range of motion. Brian identified the source of my pain (a group of muscles on either side of the neck called the scalenes) and skillfully massaged the HECK out of them. After an expert adjustment by Dr. Gus, I can honestly say that I now believe in miracles. Thank you Dr. Gus for EXCEEDING my expectations every time.
