Positive experience: My wife is a patient here. I went inside yesterday to wait for her but all the seating is in the middle of the room. Went back outside and went for a walk.

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere and staff are amazing. You can get labs done in-house, and they have a great variety of supplements.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Attwood is wonderful. She listens and really takes the time to understand. Very helpful and friendly front desk staff. I’ve been going to Heart of Wellness for 10 years and am very satisfied with the care I’ve received.

Positive experience: Great massages

Negative experience: To say that I was disappointed with Heart of Wellness would be a severe understatement. I signed up for an initial appointment not knowing if I would want to make additional appointments. Yet, I was required to sign up for a membership (which I had to cancel later). I was under the impression that I signed up for a "standard" initial visit. However, I ended up getting billed for the "longer" (more expensive) initial visit. The naturopath that I saw was completely unfamiliar with the reason for my visit. I had to wait roughly 15 minutes for the naturopath to read through everything that I wrote (in great detail) in advance of the visit. This is on top of the fact that we started late - likely because the same thing happened with the prior patient. The entire reason why I went to a naturopath in the first place was to avoid this type of behavior from doctors. I was excited by the prospect that a doctor would read the file beforehand, listen, and offer meaningful advice. That is not what happened. As I was checking out, I was asked if I wanted to pay in cash or use insurance. I was under the impression that my insurance was accepted because Heart of Wellness is listed as an "in network" provider on the insurance website. I handed the receptionist my insurance card and there was no indication that they did not accept it - until I received a giant bill today. If I'd known that, I would have paid on the spot to receive the discount. In the end, the visit was extended due to their ineptitude, I received substandard care, I had to set a reminder to cancel the "subscription", and I was billed an inflated price. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Negative experience: I love my doctor, but I don't love Heart of Wellness. My explanation is this: 1) I don't appreciate that I have to hold my credit card with them or be charged a $20 fee for processing a claim. 2) You must sign up for a "membership" at $100 a year (single). I continually get emails for classes I can sign up for etc, the holistic approach. Okay, I get it, but I don't want to join classes, don't feel it is necessary for my particular goals and do not have the time to devote to attending classes 60 miles away. This all seems like a money grab in the name of natural medicine.

Fantastic experience: Michelle Walz is great and has a beautiful space. Their online payment system is broken.

Fantastic experience: I met with dietician/nutritionist Laura Woodworth on 6/27, she was so caring & helpful giving good advice as to how I need to add incorporate protein into my diet and gave me handouts explaining how I could could achieve this.Since I have tendency to dehydrate sometimes, she also gave me suggestions to electrolytes packets which. can be added to your water containers . It was very helpful on giving me "Optimize your Brain" handout, that reading explains how protein is so vital to brain health. I'm now trying to keep diary of what I eat daily. I truly appreciate the care she gave me and being totally there for me as a person, she had a great sense of humor which made me relaxed too.

Fantastic experience: I love this place! So many brilliant and wonderful souls in one location to help guide you through your health journeys. Dr. Mary and I have a great relationship that keeps me engaged in my health.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tim is amazing! This is the first time I’ve ever felt listened to and heard while visiting a medical practice. About 1 year ago I decided to stop reaching out to a traditional doctor for help because they’d just tell me everything was fine but give me pills to “fix” the problem. Dr. Tim is thorough, kind, and genuinely wants to help his patients by finding the root of the issue and NATURALLY correcting the “why” behind it! The only thing I seem to have issues with here, is getting ahold of the front desk for scheduling… I have had to play quite a bit of phone tag and haven’t received calls back when I leave voicemails. But, I will take having to call a couple times per day/week to feel like an actual human in a medical practice any day! Dr. Tim - you ROCK!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Griffith has been a great advocate for my health since I started seeing him years ago. He is thoughtful and truly cares about his patients, taking the time to hear all health concerns in order to make a holistic plan to treat them. I highly recommend his services and Heart of Wellness.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciated how prompt the receptionists are in reaching out to Me with scheduling and ordering medicine. Dr. Shannon keeps us informed with any procedures that may help me in my fight against cancer. Lab technician, Lori, is very professional, friendly and painless!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Delores has helped me immensely. I don't do well with western medicine...I don't agree with pharma corporations...so Delores helps me only take the scripts I actually need. Everything else is diet, exercise and lifestyle based

I had a Pap with her and I have never been treated with so much care and respect at a pap appointment before. She was very gentle, caring, took the time to explain things. Zero judgment! So much care! I, as a plus size women, felt so so cared for. Highly recommend! Glad I found her.

Fantastic experience: I see Dr. Tougas for acupuncture and he is wonderful. Booking online is easy and the email reminders are fantastic. It's nice to get everything taken care of online ahead of the appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Tougas for your acupuncture needs.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shannon truly changed my daughter’s life by effectively treating her ADD with a homeopathic after other “mainstream” modalities of treatment had failed. It took several attempts to find the right medicine, but he was both patient and persistent. The ability to focus has allowed her to excel at school and other areas of her life in ways we once thought weren’t even possible. We are SO a grateful!!! She is an entirely different person now and SO much happier.

Negative experience: I completely agree with the review below with Dr. Kent leaving the practice and zero follow up from the front desk and billing. I needed to have a prescription refilled and followed the typical procedure via my pharmacy. After 48 hours no one from Heart of Wellness had returned the pharmacy's request and I ran out of medication. I called the day filling the prescription initially to find out that Dr. Kent was gone but they would get the refill request completed. Now two days later, calling the front desk again they realized that no one had picked up the request and routed me to a coordinator. This coordinator's line went straight to voicemail. Now I'm going into the weekend with no medication. Calling back the front desk said there was nothing they could do and to call back Monday. ... and billing is ridiculous there. I'll leave it at that. Keep your receipts from in-person payments. I dont leave reviews often, but this experience was not good.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a lab draw and their phlebotomist was awesome. I’m a hard draw and she was done a less then 5 minutes

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been going to Heart of Wellness for about seven years now, and we are delighted with the care we receive. I have multiple chronic illnesses and after years of conventional medicine (which didn't help much, as I was misdiagnosed), I deeply appreciate the holistic approach to improving my health. From front desk staff to care providers, each and every person I've worked with at Heart of Wellness is professional and caring and compassionate. And they're ALL great listeners!!! My care providers, Dr. Morgan Schuster, ND and Jeff Foucrier, DPT, have both contributed immensely to my health and my quality of life, and have helped me get to a place where managing my chronic illnesses isn't so incomprehensible and difficult. I'm deeply grateful for everyone at Heart of Wellness, and am so glad they're part of the community.

Negative experience: I booked an appointment 18 days in advance, and after 15 days, they said we canceled the appointment because we gotta do a meet and greet first! You waited 15 days to tell me that and now all medical centers are booked before December. This is the worst thing I dealt with in scheduling.

Negative experience: I do not appreciate being lied to for the sole purpose of a receptionist not wanting to do their job . I reached out to this office about becoming a patient and they just shooded me off and said Washington state does not cover naturopathic drs on state insurance . That is a complete and utter lie because I have only ever had a naturopathic dr while on state insurance and Molina does cover natural medicine . I am absolutely horrified by the lack of service you get anywhere these days as no one cares about anyone anymore in customers service positions. It’s sick to to see people like this continue to be employed and allowed to treat customers with such disrespect

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time seeing Mary Attwood (newer doctor) and she was really great! I didn’t want to be seen at first for a consult appointment just to get a referral, but she went above and beyond helping me address what’s going on, and other issues in my life. You can tell she really cares! I felt so supported after the appointment and comfortable to reach out to her when needed. I will definitely be seeing her again! The call was via zoom, but still felt so personable.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit with Dr. Michelle, and it was SO nice to finally talk to a doctor that cares. I have been searching for the past few years for a new thyroid doctor since my old one retired and have had some interesting experiences in the process. Throughout our entire 1hr appt, Michelle listened and really helped me to figure out the next steps in my thyroid care journey. I am so thankful a friend recommended her to me, and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My provider took into account my health history, listened to my concerns, and discussed multiple options. I felt heard for once by a medical provider.

Negative experience: Let me start by saying that one of their best doctors, Dr.Kent is now gone. Their billing and front desk are an absolute joke. They rarely answer your calls or return calls after leaving multiple voice-mails . We went in for our annual check ups but because of their covid policy at the time , we couldn't go in person so they weren't able to bill it as our free check up. Other family members have gotten billed twice for service with no reasonable explanation. My women's exam somehow also wasn't billed as my annual women's check up so they billed me full price. I saw Dr. Schuster for a woman's exam and she was completely dismissive and judgmental. She told me my horrible pain and irregular cycle lengths were all normal and her only suggestion for fertility was taking prenatals (without even checking labs to look for any actual nutritient deficiency or ask about my diet)... I could go deep on why I choose not to do multi vitamins , there are studies and readily information available from mutilple holistic doctors. My visit with her was a complete waste of money and time. I learn more about health and fertility doing my own research. Sad that they are the only holistic office in the area.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tim Shannon is great! He listens, doesn't rush me and shows care and compassion. He also explains everything so that I understand. I feel like we are more of a team trying to work through and heal my ADHD and anxiety. For the first time in my life I don't feel like I'm just another name on the schedule to be given a pill and a "see you later" in under 15 minutes. The appointments are 30-45 minutes, depending. I highly recommend him for mental health.

When your sick and feeling out of control and helpless in your own body it is such a relief to have a Dr. come up with a treatment plan that aims to heal not just deal with symptoms with another pill. I look forward to being guided in a healing direction and not adding more prescriptions to the old lady basket of pharmaceuticals!

Fantastic experience: I have seen many different providers at Heart Of Wellness and each and every one has been amazing at their specialty. If you have a complicated medical history and are in search of providers who listen to you and are willing to work with you to get to the route of your problem and live a healthier, happier life - than look no further. I highly recommend this office and the providers. It's also very convenient that they accept insurance for acupuncture, cupping, massage and functional Dr visits. I'd highly recommend booking an appointment with David Lerner for your acupuncture needs- he's knowledgeable in oncology and autoimmune disorders and his services improve the quality of your life. I came in this morning with a throbbing headache and by the time I left it was gone- it's almost magical! (Except if you're interested and ask him he can explain the science and research behind his treatments.) Everyone in the office is friendly and accommodating from the front office to the different providers.

Fantastic experience: Every provider I have seen here is amazing. It truly feels like a partnership between you and the doctors to improve your health. So many resources are provided in house and they will connect you to external resources as well to meet your needs.

Fantastic experience: I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to go to a doctor who actually listens to you. If she didn’t understand my values and what is important for me, she sure is a great actor. I feel very comfortable with Dr. Wilhelm. I’ve only been to her once, but I already trust her more than my old doctor. I have a feeling I won’t be avoiding my doctor anymore. After telling my husband about my visit, he said he may try her also. My daughter in law the same. I truly think Dr. Wilhelm is who we will be using from now on. God willing.

Everyone tried to make her and me feel as comfortable as possible, rescheduling was so easy, and the woman working in the lab was absolutely spectacular! Our doctor, Dr. Wilhelm, is thorough, easygoing, inquisitive, and really allows us to communicate our needs without feeling pressured one way or another on anything. I’m so glad we found this clinic. Fantastic experience: This was my first time going to a naturopath and Dr Mark Frederickson was very kind and attentive. I was grateful he didn’t start off with many expensive tests. So thankful for his recommendations to help me using a supplemental and starting with food elimination to see what works. He was very knowledgeable and I am very pleased and hopeful.

Negative experience: We are not generally the type to leave reviews positive or negative, but then we called the after hours care line multiple times to reach the on call physician and got the message "subscriber unavailable". Incredibly irresponsible and dangerous of who ever was on call. Very disappointed. Trust your family's well being to a more professional practice.

Fantastic experience: Very pleased with how much I really enjoy my appointments with Dr. Deisering. She definitely does not make me feel rushed and listens to what I say, unlike my previous yahoo doctor who loved to write prescriptions like they were candy. Dr. Michelle D has worked wonders with my heartburn issues and 20+ years addiction to Prilosec! I’m now Prilosec free and digestive issues are minimal! Who would have known! The dietician, Laura, is also wonderful to work! Funny, knowledgeable, encouraging and supportive. Very caring group of people at this clinic. And, the front desk people are polite and kind. I travel 1.5-2 hours just to come see them, that’s how much I like this clinic.

Negative experience: Have been with Dr.Schuster. She prescribed a supplement and I bought it at their desk. At home I read the label on it and it said it is not recommended for the condition I came for. So I called the next day, explained to the desk person why I have to ask Dr. Schuster about that, if this is really safe for me. The desk person scheduled an online appointment for me the same day for this one question, which would have been obsolete, if Dr. Schuster would have said anything to me while I was sitting in front of her about probably - why I should not wonder about this warning on the label or so.When the time came I was on the phone with Dr. Schuster no longer than 3 minutes, just to hear her saying this supplement is controversial regarding my condition. She was surprised that I wanted to know nothing else. But I was with her the day before??? Next day I received the financial statement: my insurance was billed with $ 252 and I had a copay $ 40. Could not believe it. Messaged the desk, this must have been a misunderstanding. No response, but a few days later a letter with the bill. I feel I was lured in this online appointment, just to catch the payment...Better ask immediately what a simple question -just for safety - might cost you. If my insurance would know they would be upset too. They will see me no more and I will for sure spread the word.

Fantastic experience: I am a relatively new patient here but my experience so far has been absolutely fantastic. The receptionists are kind, organized and knowledgeable. Dr Schuster is the most incredible doctor Ive ever had. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, honest, hopeful and thorough. I have been able to get in in a very timely manner and the staff and my doctor have been responsive to messages and after appointment questions I have had. I would highly recommend this practice.

Positive experience: Overall, I like Heart of Wellness. It just depends on your doctor. One is a little too nature focused. The doctor I settled on takes both a medicinal and natural approach.

Fantastic experience: I'm new to naturopathic approach after 40+years, so l was pretty unsure when l went here to try it. I've talked to more than one doctor here, both male & female before settling on my current provider for mens health. I always felt comfortable with sharing, and honestly felt listened to by each one. I must admit l didn't quite understand some alternative medications, but did try them. Some worked, some not so much. I'm a hard nut to crack, so l chose to believe in the process here. It's working. Dr. Kent is a great fit for me. I believe she listens and is a caring giver of advice & medicine. I never feel rushed or judged about my personal bits or ailments, and as an ex lifetime hard-labor worker that's recently retired, she is truthful & wants what's best for my health & goodness of life, although hard to hear at times. She's kind, witty, & is very informative for my needs & able to explain in laymen's terms so l understand medical terms. I like that. Front desk is as helpful as they can be, and don't always have immediate answers, but I've always gotten follow up with phone calls or other. My experience here is very good..no fluff or bs from this guy, and I'm a skeptic in many areas.

Fantastic experience: They really care about your overall health all around. They won't shove prescriptions your way just to get you out the door they get to the root cause of the problems.

Negative experience: Their website said they accepted my insurance. When I called I was told they wouldn't accept my insurance but tried to get me to purchase a membership. I have insurance, I'm not about to pay out of pocket. What a joke of a facility.

Positive experience: I was just reading some of the comments and I just thought it might be a way for me to ask you a question can I use a mustard pack if you've had a stint in heart and heart disease.

Positive experience: I love the physicians here! I feel wholly cared for and listened to while also receiving too notch treatment options both natural and traditional. The front staff have been a little hit or miss in the past, but I've seen some drastic improvements in this of late. I think they've figured out a system that works for them now. If you're looking for a new physician's office and someone who will take the time to sit and listen to you and discuss health and life options appropriately, I highly recommend this office.

Negative experience: This place is awful! Dr. Michelle rushes me out of her of her office after 25 minutes regardless of whether or not I'm still trying to talk to her about health issues, and to make that whole situation even worse, it takes about a month and a half everytime to get an appointment with her. She is way too overbooked, which makes me think she cares more about the money than her patients. I was treated horribly by one of the acupuncturist and made incredibly sick by the actual acupuncture. They charge $20 late fees with no more than a single statement's worth of warning. Plus, they recently tried to overcharge me $100 for my already met deductable. Don't waste your time with this place like I did.
